V570 problem with Intel onboard driver on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
Hello Everyone,
I recently installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on my Lenovo v570. I downloaded the drivers from the support page and I have a strange problem with the onboard graphics driver "Intel Onboard Graphics Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit) - Lenovo B470, B570, V370, V470, V570" in the drivers section.
Installation seems fine, but after restart, the system fails to boot and goes into boot recovery mode, where I get a message saying that booting failed due to a bad driver and the only actual option I have to boot up is to go back to a previous restore point. I tried installing the Nvidia driver for Windows 7, but it says that I need to install an Intel driver first, which is the one that gives me the blue screen when booting. I have also tried installing both drivers without a restart between both installations, but that didn't help.
I am wondering if anyone in the community has seen something similar. Any advice, information or assistance will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for your time.

Your selected Toshiba PC is supported for upgrade to Windows 10. Now all of the software for the upgrade is available.
So far as I know, the Windows 8.1 Intel chipset software and display driver from Toshiba work. Why do you think they don't? -
Problem with iPhone 6 driver on Windows 8.1 Update
Hi guys,
Each new device brings new questions: in my case, it's about Windows 8.1 Update (64-bit) not being able to install the proper driver for my new iPhone 6.
Strangely, I don't have any problem syncing my phone with iTunes via USB, but that won't work over WiFi, and when I plug it into one of the PC's USB ports, I get this window stating that Windows is trying to install the proper driver, but it hangs, then fails.
Of course, the phone shows in Windows Explorer, but when I double-click on the icon, it shows as empty.

Problem with Oracle ODBC Driver on Windows 7

Photoshop CS5.1 Crashes Upon Opening: "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver-"
Every time I try to open photoshop I get a window that pops up and says:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software.
GPU enhancements can be enable in the Performance panel of Preferences."
Then windows shuts the program down. The details of the problem are:

The error happens so quickly that I don't have time to do anything. Please help. >.< I've been on hold for *checks phone* 2 hours exactly. Wow. It is a legit copy and was working last month with no trouble. I've updated the drivers and tried a few solutions that have worked for other people that I found on Google (such as disabling CUDA and setting my "power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance" on my video card) but so far nothing has worked.
Thanks in advance!It has stopped crashing because somehow it turned off "Enable GL Drawing" on its own because I could never even get a menu open. Not sure how it did that but I am grateful. I still get the error when I open Photoshop up but at least it hasn't crashed yet. At the time when it was crashing I never would have been able to get you the system info due to the speed that it was crashing upon just opening the program. In case you still need it:

Problem with the Display Driver
Hi.
I just got this message when I started Adobe Photoshop today, that's the CS4 edition, about that there was a problem with the Display driver: "Photoshop have encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences"
My problem is not what to do but how to do it. I went to System profiler and found something "ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, and: Chipset Model: ATI,RadeonHD2600".
And so I want to ATI's website but can't find what I'm looking for.
Any help?I have cs6 - master collection. I bought it on last december and i didn't upgrade it.
"After Effects" works for some minutes and then it stucks and give the massege above
"Display driver NVIDIA Windows kernel Mode Driveer, Version 334.89 stopped, responding and has succesfully recovered."
and preimer works and suddenly the computer crashes not before giving the massege :
"The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.
The aaplication must close. error code: 7"

Trouble installing latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7
Anyone else experiencing issues trying to install the latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7, version 8.15.10.2057, dated 2 Mar 2010?
This is the second updated driver release that refuses to install due the following error while running setup.exe: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
I've verified compatibility and have disabled Switchable graphics and selected Integrated Graphics in the BIOS

Appears you selected the right .inf file for Win7/64. Notwithstanding the error flags, are you sure the driver did not install?
For WinXP/32, the equivalent file name is kit22686.inf. In the case of WinXP (likely similar for Vista and Win7), Lenovo's file-set will unpack to C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2. The .inf file that appears in the Device Manager install-routine lives one level down, in C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2\Graphics. Only one .inf file resides in this directory.
When forcing installation of the driver under WinXP, error messages appear that are similar (but not necessarily identical) to those you encountered. Still, after a sequence of five or six such error messages, the driver does load and can be verified after a reboot. The final splash screen in the series reports "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard." (This message does not, however, necessarily denote a successful installation.)
In the case of WinXP, the errors appear to be generated by the installer, igxpun.exe (v1.2.30.0). Note that the flaky display driver installation should generate an error log. Search for an error log file using the string "*appcompat.txt" (no quotes) and see what it says.
In the end, the problems with this package can be attributed to simple sloppiness (vendors commonly forget to eat their dog food) and should be quickly fixed if the community barks loudly.

Problem with tv@nywhere plus on windows 8
hi
i have a problem with tv@anywhere plus on windows 8. i can setup the pvr plus app completely but when i open that and click on "watch and record dtv program" icon, i will see an error that says: "invalid class string!"
i think this problem should be for its driver because i'm using windows 8 64bit and the driver is for windows 7, i couldn't find an appropriate driver for windows 8 on MSI driver downloads, as matter of fact it didn't exist.
so what should i do for my problem?I'm afraid TV@nywhere Plus is a bit outdated for Win8. There is no update so far since 2010. Could be MSI won't add Win8 support if it would be anyway possible.

[SOLVED] Problem with second SATA drive
My laptop has two hard drive bays, and just recently I added a second SATA drive (moved it from my old laptop) to the extra bay.
Now, anytime the second hard drive /dev/sdb has any heavy disk activity, it appears to cause a shutdown of the SATA port for the first drive (/dev/sda)! Though the second drive is still fine, and I can still write to it until the system crashes from the root drive (on /dev/sda) being shutdown.
If I don't mount and use the second drive, the first drive works just fine, and I can pound it with traffic without issue.
I can reproduce this problem by copying large amounts of data to drive 2.

I have experimented, and found that if I turn off NCQ on the kernel command line in my bootloader (libata.force=noncq), that it takes longer before the problem occurs. Though, if I write enough to the second drive, it does still happen after a while, just greatly reduced its chances of happening.
Is it possible that the old drive (sdb) is causing the problem? I noticed that it is much noisier than I remember when the drive head moves around.
Another curiosity while I was trying to duplicate the problem:
- I start a large file copy from sda -> sdb
- At the same time in another terminal, I do "find / -print"
- When I hear the drive 2 head moving, it pauses the output of the "find" command.
Every time I hear the head move, I see the find output pause. Its almost like the drive seek on drive 2 causes the whole Sata controller to pause while the head moves. Very odd!
Anyone have any ideas? I think the next thing I will try is borrow a drive from another machine, and do the big write to it to see if I get the same results.

Last edited by johni (2012-09-16 00:46:54)It appears my drive one really is failing. It was the first drive and not the second making the loud head seek sound. I borrowed another drive from a friend, and copied my drive one to it. No problems with the new drive in place.

I am getting an error encountered problem with the display driver for my Photoshop CS5 extended
I have Windows 7 and have used CS5 extended with no problems for quite a while now.
Last week I started up CS5 and received the error:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturers website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences."
"Please close program and uninstall and re-install if problem persists"
I was able to edit, however when I went to save my work it would not do so. The following error came up.
"Could not complete the command because the extension could not be loaded"
"Could not save a copy as .....because of a program error"
I checked to make sure I have the latest driver, I also uninstalled and re-installed the program and I am still getting the errors.

Beginner Has Problem With Loading JDBC Driver Using MySQL
Hi, I am having problem with loading JDBC driver, and need your diagnotic help.
1. I have installed MySQL (C:\mysql), created a databse (soup), and created a littel table (VIDEOS). I am able to see the table in the console:

Try running your program by explicitly setting the classspath when
running your program . java -classpath c:\mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha-bin.jar test
Make sure your jar file contains org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver class -
Problem with GX630 optical drive
Note: I have owned the GX630 for about 4-5 weeks give or take
Overall I really like the GX630 I purchased. It has ran and performed exceptionally well. With that said, I have a slight problem with the optical drive of my 630. I have noticed this problem since day 1, when I reformatted the default Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 RC 64bit. (note: I do want to go back to my 32bit XP, was just trying out Win7)
Anyway, on to the problem. Basically it seems like the drive has a problem reading dvds/cds that I put in. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I reformatted from Vista to the Win7 RC, right at the beginning where the screen is black and there is a gray bar while Windows is "setting up/copying files" it stopped midway. I came back like an hour later and to no avail it was stuck there. I did a hard reboot and tried again. Worked flawlessly - was able to reformat just fine. It makes trying to install some of my games a hassle. I hardly can as a matter of fact. I'll get like 50% through a game installation and it just "freezes" up - I look at the drive and the light stops and everything, as if it just shuts down. Like I said though sometimes it works! I was able to get through my Pirates! installation no problem! (only cd-based game I was able to install however - I mostly use steam)
Also, I don't know if this is how the drive is meant to be, but it seems unusually hard to get the thing to close/stay in the computer. When I pop the tray out and try to close it I either have to slam it in or find some miracle way of getting it in because most of the time, just pushing it in with normal force as any other person would do, it will just quickly pop right back out - doesn't stay. I am mainly wondering if I just need to replace the drive? If so how do I go about doing that - or rather, which drives are compatible for installation with the gx630? (I would like to do it myself)
I hope this explains enough for someone to understand my problem or give me some insight. If not tell me anything more you would like to know.

In most cases a PROJRAM screwed with the LowerFilters or UpperFilters regestry seettings.
My latest was changed by installing DVDFAB
How do I know? Because Lowerfilters changed from = to = DVDFAB
Delete that data and reboot. Should be ok then
Last month on vacation I could read a CD and DVD but inserting any blank media the drive would stop working.
Nothing resolved that but uninstalling every single burning and video editing application I had installed.

Satellite Pro A120: I have problems with the graphics driver installation for W2k
I have installed windows 2000 on an A120 the system is fully service packed and up to date before I even begin installing the required drivers I am unable to restart the system. Once I install the drivers as recommended I have problems with the graphics driver as it will not install because it requires a restart and then I am unable to install any new programs that require a restart as the driver has not installed correctly.
The laptop is a A120 Pro, 1 week old and came with XP home, because of this toshiba will not offer me support as I have changed the O/S even though they obviously support 2000 on this laptop as they supply the drivers.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.the reason the driver is not working is down to a problem with the windows 2000 not having the ability to reboot.
When you select restart the system appears to power down then stays switched on. Now if I try to install software I get an error saying that the system needs to complete a restart to finish the install of the driver.
The restart problem happens as soon as win2k is installed as although I have now shipped the laptop to the sales team I have another one which has just had a clean install of win2k without any drivers and the fault is present on this one.
I am thinking it could be to do with power management but I'm not to sure as I have never come across this as I normally purchase machines which accept just about any O/S. -
