Vaio tap 11 doesn't keep up with clock

the lastest of my problems with this tap model number svt11226cxb is after wake up from sleep the system time is always behind of minutes or even hours, i checked the bios and shows the same time, if its the cmos battery that needs replacement im screwed, how do i change it in such a compact device??

Hi ewhorf,
If you're having issue with the system time, it is possible that you need to replace the RTC battery or CMOS battery. Yes, your unit should have the RTC battery.
Kindly try to reset BIOS first and check if this will resolve the issue. Just follow the steps here: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44078/c/65,66/kw/BIOS
Since this unit is a compact device what we advise is to visit Sony's Authorized Service Center for further assistance. I'll send you a private message regarding this matter.
Thanks,
Vincent

  • Ipod audio doesn't keep up with video! help!

ok. ive got a 60 gig. ipod with a imtoo file converter. almost every time i convert, the file's audio doesn't keep up with the video. for example, at the end of the movie, the audio keeps playing! help plz.

"I think the best one to use is called videora."
Maybe you should first visit "Videora's" Website and read the Bug list...Things that are not correct":
    Known Bugs
    Audio/Video sync
Problem - Output files can be out-of-sync. While no set pattern has been established, it seems to be more frequent with input files of 23.976 fps, non-DVD rips, and WMV/MPG filetypes.
Workaround solutions - Try the custom option '-async 1'. If the disconnect gradually increases over time, setting 29.97 fps sometimes gets rid of the problem regardless of the input fps. You can also use AviSynth to assume the FPS and have the audio sync to that. If it's a sudden disconnect, check your VOB Cell settings in DVD Decrypter settings per this thread. Otherwise, test with an AviSynth script per the DaProphecy's method in the FAQ. For non-DVD files, PSPVideo 9 may be a good short-term solution until the converter stabilizes some more or try something like AviDemux.
Audio track not getting picked up
Problem - The IFO stream rip is fine, but the converted file has no sound. The debug info showed to audio track getting picked up. The most obvious case with this is the Madagascar DVD.
Workaround solution ideas - Test with an AviSynth script per the DaProphecy's method in the FAQ (untested). Use a different DVD ripper.

  • TS2034 video doesn't keep up with sound

I have downloaded videos from my i phone onto my i mac.  The sound is coming through good, but the video itself is choppy and doesn't keep up with the sound.. Any ideas?

Your issue is similar to mine. I posted it differently however. I noticed that timeline scrubbing behaves the same as yours when audio scrubbing is enabled.
As a test turn off the audio scrubbing feature under the audio tab in preferences. If you experiencing the same problem as mine then the timeline will respond very quickly displaying everyframe. As long as you dont need to hear the audio when scrubbing that would solve your present dilemma.
I also found that there seems to be a bottleneck using an external media drive. I copied a file that was performing slow to my internal SATA system drive, put it on the timeline and it scrubs perfectly even with audio scrubbing enabled.
This same external drive performed fine on a slower PC with Premiere Pro 2.0. I am about to add an internal 1 terabyte SATA drive as my media drive. If I am correct this will resolve my problem.
By the way, I am using a 7200 RPM external drive with a firewire connection. If you are using a USB 2 cable your bottleneck would probably be greater. I'll leave an update if the new internal drive does the trick.

  • Video doesn't keep up with scrubber

I've just moved from PPro 1.5 to PPro CS4. I installed CS4 on a new Gateway Laptop with 4Gigs RAM and P8400 Intel CPU on Vista 64-bit.
As I move the scrubber across the timeline or in the Project Source window, the video isn't able to keep up with the scrubber. As I move the scrubber the video tends to freeze for a few seconds and then will suddenly jump forward to the point of my scrubber. It does this consistently.
I'm currently editing sports videos to isolate highlights of one specific athlete. I'd like to pull the scrubber across fairly quickly as I look for the athlete, but it's almost impossible. I'm basically having to let the video run in realtime and stopping it when I need to. Since I have hours and hours of video to go through this is not good.
I wasn't having this problem on my old HP Media Station with Pentium D with 512 Megs RAM. I would encounter this to some degree but not nearly as severe as what I'm experiencing now. I moved my 5 external hard drives from my old PC to my new Laptop. They are connected via a USB 2.0 hub. They were connected to my old PC via USB 1.x ports or a 1.x hub.
As a test, I did play a couple of the captured AVI clips outside of PPro CS4 in Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. They tend to be choppy there, too. I ran the Vista disk defrag utility on one of my external drives last night - it took about 9 hours - but it doesn't seem to have helped.
Does anyone that understands this better than me have any suggestions on how I can fix or minimize this problem?
    Thanks,
    Dan

  • Typing doesn't keep up with me

I couldn't find this particular problem in a search of this forum, so I thought I'd post it: many times (but not always) typing in Mail is extremely slow. I can type a couple of characters, then the program just hangs for a few moments, then catches up to my typing. Mail is the only application in which this occurs. Anyone have an idea what to do about this, short of waiting for Leopard to fix it?
    -Dennis

I've been searching this forum and the web for awhile looking for a fix. I have a fairly new computer and probably only about 2 housand of messages.
When I type, I have to wait on Mail to catch up to me which which is very frustrating! I finally found the answer here:
    http://danwarne.com/is-apple-mail-running-slow-speed-it-up/
You have to be comfortable with Terminal though (or at least willing to take the risk) of trying something new.

  • Bug, 4.1- Filmstrip doesn't keep up with current image

I have the filmstrip set to auto hide/show. As I browse through my library, I'll pick an image to work on in Develop. I may then want to work on an adjacent image. Instead of going back to the library to select it, I want to hover over the film strip and select the image that is 1 or 2 away from the current one.
    Fail.
When I first hover over the filmstrip, it shows my current location but then quickly slides to a different part of the strip. Usually no where near where I'm working. I haven't been able to determine a pattern. Sometimes it will go to the beginning, sometimes the end. Sometimes to an image I was working on the last time I closed Lightroom (if I am still in that folder).
I need the filmstrip to follow me as I move through a set of images. Otherwise it is useless. I don't remember having this problem in 3.x
    Anyone else?
    Thanks- Paul

This is weird: I just went back to work and the filmstrip followed me. Grrr... I wish I could find a pattern.

One thing: make sure sorting is by something other than edit time, or edit count... (e.g. capture time, or filename).

  • IOS5 doesn't work with clock radio/speaker accessory

Since I upgraded the software to IOS5, my clock radio/speaker doesn't work anymore with my iPhone. Before, music would play through the speakers when connected, and the iPhone turned on at the alarm time with playing songs from the songlist. Anyone have a solution to this?

    I am in similar situation,
My Panasonic sc-sp100 deck worked fine before, upgraded ios5 now it plays etc but will NOT charge.  Perfect before. I now have to go back to the old fashioned wire.
Has to be a software sensing issue as the deck recognised IPhone but will not switch to accept power.

  • HT204053 I have a just purchased my first iPod touch and i cannot transfer my music from my laptop to the iPod. The sync button doesn't appear to work.  What am i doing wrong? Please help this frustrated Grandma. I am trying to keep up with technology!

I have just purchased my first iPod touch and I cannot transfer my music from my laptop. The sync button does not appear to work. What have I done wrong? I am a grandma trying to keep up with technology please help.

Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

  • Calendar on iOS 7. Anyone noticed that when you enter text into the "notes section" of a day, the text disappears behind the keyboard rather than scrolling down to keep pace with text entry ? Looks like an 7 glitch to me ?

Doesn't do that for me. Try resetting the phone

  • My iTunes doesn't keep track of my listening history anymore. It doesn't update play counts and default "Recently Played" playlist.

My iTunes doesn't keep track of my listening history anymore. It doesn't update play counts and default "Recently Played" playlist. But it still tracking plays from my iPhone and syncing them.
I've tried to repair it with setup file. Nothing's changed.
Can you help me with that?
NOTE: Now I tried disabling the crossfade feature and it worked, started to count again. But I like crossfade, I don't want to keep it off.

I think I got this figured out. The playcount does update, but not how the previous iPod models update their playcount. Instead of immediately updating the playcount right after you finish the song like the older iPod models, iPod Touch keeps the updates in memory. The next time you connect to iTunes it'll sync those playcounts in memory to the actual songs itself, effectively updating the playcount of the songs only after connecting to iTunes. I have set my syncing manually. That's why after connecting to iTunes, my playcounts are updated. BUT it doesn't solve the mystery of my Smart Playlist. Even though in iTunes, the correct songs are listed, in the iPod Touch, it shows the old playlist.
Don't you just hate that? It was working fine before on non-iPod touch models. Now we have to live with this new bug. I just hope when they release software 2.0 it fixes these bugs and that they *give it for free!* People shouldn't be charged on something they should have gotten as a support!

  • Firefox from version 3.6 to 11 beta doesn't work properly with gmail

Gmail doesn't work properly with any version of firefox from 3.6 to 11. I have tried several newer versions of firefox and they ALL DO NOT WORK PROPERLY with GMAIL!!!!!! THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING & ANNOYING!! I can't click on any links or it just keeps saying LOADING when I try to delete a message or even go into the gmail settings.

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    * You can open the Firefox 4.0+ SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."''
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
'''''If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5, v11.5, Build 5366 keeps crashing with Mac OS 10.7.5

Dreamweaver CS5.5, v11.5, Build 5366 keeps crashing with Mac OS 10.7.5. This started a few weeks ago.   Dreamweaver crashes at random time so I cannot pinpoint one thing that causes it.  It just crashed as I was trying to adjust margins in a style sheet.   I have tried deleting preferences and reinstalling the software.  Both worked for a day or 2 and then the crashes started again.    I'm at the point now where I have to save after every change so I don't lose them…but that isn't allowing me to experiment before saving.   This is very frustrating.    Were there any releases beyond build 5366 or v11.5?  When I check for updates, I am told that my software is up to date.
I have no idea what to try next.

When DW starts acting weird, the first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache in DW. Be sure to turn on hidden files & folders in your Mac Finder.

If that doesn't help, try Restore Preferences

If all else fails, use the CC Cleaner Tools below followed by a software re-install.

  • MPEG Streamclip doesn't keep the original timecodes

I have a a ton of ProRes 4444-files that I want to re-encode to ProRes 422 LT for offline editing (we have limited space on our XSAN at the moment, that's why we use 422 LT instead of the 4444's).
I did this convertion in MPEG streamclip as it encoded quite a bit faster than Compressor does with the same files. And time was of the essence. But the resulting files does not have the same timecode as the original ones. They all begin at zero hours. I've googled the heck out of this but can't find anyone with the same problem. And there does not seem to be a preference to keep the timecode tracks in the export window.
Anyone know anything about this. If it doesn't keep the timecodes the same as the source files their useless for the offline-online workflow.
    Cheers!
