Vaja case

Ok so i was looking at the cases at vajacases.com and they look amazing, but has anybody had any experience with them? Are they durable and is the phone easily accessible in the full body one? Thanks

While their cases are excellent, beware of their "NO RETURN" policy (http://www.vajacases.com/policies/policiesvajaen.html). Basically once the order goes through - that's it. You can't return it or exchange it. I got burned by it and would not buy from them again.

  • Question About Vaja Cases

I recently bought a neoprene case for my Zen Touch (not from Vaja). All well and good.
At the same time, I also bought a rubberized skin for my Touch. Great.
But the thing is, I can't fit the Zen Touch into my neoprene case while the skin is attached. Anyone know whether the Vaja cases would be able to fit the Zen Touch with the skin on it's
Thanks. I hate to think that I spent $80 for these two items and can't use one without the other.

All Vaja cases I've see have a 'snug' fit and my guess is that it wont fit while the silicone case is on.

  • Vaja case for i4

I ordered an i4 case by Vaja last Friday and got two emails confirming the order. However, the charge has not shown up on my credit card. By contrast, the charge for my iPad showed up almost immediately.
Anyone place an order with Vaja for the i4 that knows how this is working now? I don't want to call their phone number because when I did that for the iPad my order was stopped until I resolved the order by email.

I've owned four Vaja cases over the years, and the leather craftsmanship is lovely, but my last, the nano classic case with "metal hook", has turned me off Vaja for life. I had a problem with the clip, a permanently attached, $5 add-on, which nearly caused the destruction of my iPod nano when it let go during its first use, and they totally blew me off. I paid nearly $70 including shipping, have bought four products from them over the past few years (at as much as $140+ a pop) and they told me in the most polite possible manner to screw myself.
Since they're in Argentina, one lacks options as a consumer and I'm spitting mad over it - aside from warning people that you're screwed if you have a problem with your expensive Vaja case. Lousy customer service is one of my biggest pet peeves. Caveat Emptor.

  • Vaja case ivolution question

Anyone have this case. I stumbled upon vaja's website and their ivolution looks pretty cool. I have some questions regarding that.
    1. Speaker, I'm concerned when making phone calls, that hearing the conversation will be more difficult, you're ear is now farther away from speaker. I googled the ivolution for the iPhone and saw one or two complaints
    2. Dust, will dust get inbetween the material and the phone? I have the incase slider now, and I take it off to clean the dust off by the seam of where the phone and the case meet
    3. Pocket use, I keep the phone in my pocket, does the form factor of the iVolution inhibit this, is it too bulky?
Its a bit pricey, but its a sharp looking case, so if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate the feedback.

I have owned Vaja cases for other products but not the iPhone. I will tell you that any case adds bulk and you will notice it. This case looks thicker then other leather cases of the past - as thick as some hard shell plastic cases.
I would think sliding it in and out of a pocket would be hard to do. You will definitely get dust around the edges and have to take it out to clean it - especially if you are slipping it into a pocket. Pockets seem to hold lint and dust.
I don't think hearing would be a problem though. Vaja makes a fine case, but i decided on none. I have gotten tired of buying accessories for every new phone that add up to more then the phone.

  • Vaja Cases for the 5G - a warning!!!

These cases are beautiful (& expensive) but I am extremely disappointed that when I put my pristine new SCRATCH-FREE 5G ipod in my new Vaja case, the case caused very bad surface scratches all down one edge and across the middle of the iPod front.
The Vaja case claims to have a soft leather lining - it may do - but despite this, it still scratches the iPod (partly because the fit is very tight). When you pay a fortune for a case to protect the iPod from scratching, the last thing you expect is to have the case actually CAUSE the scratching.
The case also traps a lot of dust particles and small hairs between the screen and the screen protector, which you can't get rid of without removing the iPod from the case and making the scratching worse.
Guess who WON'T be making my next case!
    Nigel

THANK YOU! I was so close to buying one of those off the site. You have saved me the 70$ to actually get more scratches. Good timing there.

  • Has anyone got their Vaja case for their iPhone 4 yet?

I just got mine and am disappointed. I've bought probably a half-dozen of their cases for earlier iPhones and iPods and have liked them.
This one doesn't fit well though. The part that folds over the screen doesn't fit tightly enough so that it is very easy to slide it off enough to one side or the other to the extent that it doesn't protect the screen.
Too bad, waited almost 2 months and now this . . .

I bought mine at the Vaja store in Paris while there on business. I got the sleeve-model. It is just gorgeous, if way too expensive. BUT within three days, it was too large and too loose and the iPhone 4 just slides right out while it is in your pocket. It's probably better for women who might place it in their purse in a pocket where it isn't going to slide around - but it is unsafe and unusable in a pants pocket. Sadly, I can't return it to Paris...I use it, but only when I can carry my iPhone in my inside suit breast pocket - otherwise, I use an older case for my pocket. Oh well.

  • Vaja cases - with or without click wheel protector?

For those who already own one for your video ipod, what are your opinions of the click wheel protector?
it looks rather obtrusive in the pictures, but perhaps I'm wrong..
    any thoughts?

I ordered my Vaja classic case without the screen protector. I wish I would've gotten it now. Too late to change my order. I too thought it took away something from the look of the case, at least on the website, but I've read that it's actually very good. Oh well, I'll just have to use something else. I'm considering clear protectors from Martain Fields.

  • Anyone used a VAJA case with their iphone yet?

Specifically, I'm wondering which clip system (ultra vs rivet) folks have used, and how/why they like it.
And especially if anyone has yet tried the newer ivolution Top SP Holster... How practical is it? Why do you or don't you like it?
    Thanks!!!

I have the Vaja Top Holster case and love it. And although this particular case I got sans clip, I have had ample experience with both... The ultra clip is heavy-duty (for larger and heavier devices), and moves about on only one axis (spins) - it's very substantial... The rivet clip system is based on a lighter duty "pin" mount, and moves much more freely about it. Also, the rivet clip system has more than one way to be affixed. Although it comes with the standard "Basic Kit" primarily intended for belts, and the like... You can also order the "Additional Kit" that contains a hook, a fabric mount and an adhesive mount... And also "Additional Kit 2" that has a "Kingpin Chain" mount (this one, I've never seen in person, only a picture).
My opinion on Vaja clips is that I generally prefer the ultra. I only use the rivet for much lighter and smaller devices, like the iPod nano. And although the rivet system is much, much more versatile, it flops about a bit too much for my taste. This is the reason I only chose it for nano... Truth be told though, if I had used a clip for iPhone, I would have chosen rivet, since it more closely matches the weight and size of the device.
Detailed info is posted on the Vaja website under "Info > Our Cases".
On the iPhone cases, I can relate two scenarios... I have the Top Holster that provides direct screen protection. In this case, you need to accept the 'dangling' cover when the phone is in-use, but which snaps into place when not being used to protect the glass front. My nieces didn't want the dangling cover, so they use the straight Holster, but keep them in Vaja leather bags when not in use... Whichever you prefer is a personal choice. Both are absolutely beautiful...
To tell the entire story, though, I also use a Vaja leather bag for my Top Holster equipped iPhone. This is to protect the beautiful leather from getting scratched...
    Hope this helps.

  • Pictures of the Black N'Red Vaja case

This thing is pretty cool. Leaves marks on the while iPhone though. I wish I didn't get the belt clip...

That's a bit harsh... It actually is a really nice case. I suppose if the Zagg Invisible Shield were easier to apply to the back of the phone I would stick with just that.
    Gone through two of them...
I kept my last iPhone in my pocket with no case, until one horrible day... I got out of my car and the case slipped out of my pocket onto the garage floor. I put a nice crack in the glass screen. So, there was my lesson on not using a case. Apple Store replaced it because they could not see an impact mark on the phone.
So, if you are gonna have a case, should be a good one.
I had the Elan Form hard leather shell case. Was okay but I did not like the two piece connection thing. I ordered the Case Mate Carbon Fiber Case, which was horrible because it impacted your ability to text, because the lip of the case extended onto the screen. I tried the In-Case leather sleeve, but it didn't fit at all, I mean at all. I returned one sold the rest and got this, and am pretty happy with it.
I have Clear Armor on the screen.

  • Looking For A Vaja Dockable Case

I have the original NON 3G I phone, and want a Vaja Dockable case. As fate would have it Vaja has discontinued this case. Does anyone know where I can get one, or does anyone have one they want to sell?
    thanks

love the new Vaja case, specially the black and red one. I had it for couple of weeks and it looks amazing.

  • Vaja nano case...

I was thinking about getting a Vaja case for my nano because I want a nice case with some sort of clip to attach it to handbags or belt loops, but came across a bad review concerning customer service here: http://www.gadgette.net/2005/12/badvajanocook.html#more.
Any other nice, leather nano cases out there with perhaps better design and better customer service? Belkin makes one that's pretty inexpensive, but like the Vaja case, it doesn't look like it provides adequate protection for something that swings from whatever you attach it to.

    Hi,
I have a difusi nanoValet leather case that I like very much. It is made of a good quality leather, neatly stitched, and provides good coverage for the nano. It is available in four different colors and comes with several carrying options: lanyard, belt loop, carabiner clip, and belt clip.

  • Looking for a particular 1pad2 case

I am looking for a case for the ipad2.  the case must protect the ipad2, without covering up ports and camera.  the kicker is, it needs to have a shoulder strap attached in order to be worn around the neck.

love the new Vaja case, specially the black and red one. I had it for couple of weeks and it looks amazing.

  • Where Can I Get a Zen Xtra 60 GB Case/Pouch With Window??!!!!!!!

    I've searched endlessly!
Creative does not have any in stock so I used the ''notify me when available'' option. And sadly, after writing to Creative's customer support, I was told that they don't even know when the will get more of these in stock.
Ebay may have a couple available at times, but it is rare. And when there is one listed on Ebay, there are many bidding on it. At other times, on Ebay, there may be a used one available, but the picture which the seller uses is not the actual case being sold. Hard to trust something like that, in my opinion.
The only site that I have found which offers a case for a Zen Xtra is www.vajacases.com. And although they have a window, clip, etc, and are VERY nice, I don't like the idea of paying around $80 for a case.
As we all know, iPod has several cases available for ALL of their mp3 players. It is very sad that there are no options for Creative customers. Right now I am storing the player in a generic, uni'versal, case. But this cannot protect my Zen Xtra when I need to use it because the case has to be opened in order to see the display. The odds of me breaking or scratching my Zen Xtra increase each time I have to remove it from it's case. And this is a result of there being no cases available.
Does anyone know of a case, silicon skin, or pouch that can be used with a Zen Xtra 60 GB? Or perhaps someone may know of an iPod or PDA case which could be used for the Zen Xtra?
This is frustrating and unbelievable to me. iPod users have an endless supply and variety to choose from while I've only found two options for loyal Creative Zen Xtra customers: . Wait and see if/when Creative has more cases available. 2. Pay nearly half of what my player cost for a vaja case.
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.

i agree that it's rather annoying that it should be that hard to find a case....i like to keep all my gear secure and protected....i've been looking too....sorry i can't tell you anything you don't already know....yeah the vaja case looks really nice but way too much money...i figure our best bet is to try to get the creative one on ebay, hopefully...

  • Help with a New Case for the ZEN Touch 20

Does anyone know of a case other than the one that came with the player?Something I can use,not like the pouch. It would be nice to change songs or even adjust the volume with out having to pull the player out all the time. If some one from Creative reads this....do you have any idea how much money you can make if you put out a case that gives end uesers access to all functions with out haveing to remove from the case.PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Please Creative!! We need to have at least one case option that allows access to the screen and buttons at a reasonable price. Maybe strike a deal with a current case manufacturer to supply an option for all of the desperate users out here. I'm seriously looking at options to make one myself from materials I can find (actually came across a how-to on making a case out of a milk jug--please don't make us resort to such measures).
By the way, the Vaja case is nice, but $80 (including shipping) is ridiculous IMO when you just need something to hold the player and provide access at the same time.
    My 2 cents.

  • Zen Touch Cases - Come on Creat

I know this has been done to death, but are creative taking any notice? There is obviously a demand for different/better style cases for these great players - a vaja case would suit me down to the ground but I'm not paying over ?40.00 (thats for a basic case without belt clip, by the time its deli'vered to the UK)for something custom made that I can't send back if I don't like it! I also don't really care if its made out of the finest leather from a calfs testicles or pvc as long as it works!
So come on creative, you're missing an opportunity to take a reasonable amount of money off lots of people.

Seen them, still a lot of money for what looks a much inferior product to the vaja, thanks for the tip though. What I'd like is for Creative to get their act together and start producing some options like those ipod people do.. I actually dont mind the supplied case for putting on my belt, I am worried it might fall out the top if I bend over or trip or something, but wouldn't it be nice to just have a cheap skin type case for when you put your player in your pocket?
