Valid RTP -adress?

lo all!
i've got a really simple question (but then, i'm a simple kind of guy.........)
i am trying to open a DataSink that i made with Manager From a processor AND, i get a "no valid RTP MediaLocator" error. (i made a MediaLocator from the string "rtp://127.0.0.1:5000" and used that and the processor to make the DataSink)
so,my $100,000 question is:
-what's the format for a valid rtp-adress??? (got an example??)
ps. YES i HAVE tried to find an answer but,alas 'tis not to be found! (probably cause anybody but ME could figure it out by them selves.......)

you must precise the type of your stream at the end (cf http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/VideoTransmit.html)
So if you transmit video, the valid string is :
rtp://127.0.0.1:5000/video
I've only tested it with JMStudio and it works (and not your example) so I think it's right.

    Hi i have tested AVRecive2 with AVTransmit2 . I have set up two computeres on the dail up and transmited video to the real ip adress of the second dail up. AVRecive2 recives the medai from the port where the AVTransmit2 transmits and this works on dail up where the ip address is available.
    But however i cannot connect to anyother IP address. The AVRecive opens players and listens only to the Local port.
    1) I have tried broadcastin at a IP and port of a computere on the internet and then tried reciveing from another computer it doesnt work.
    Says local port cannot be opened ??
    2) Does anyone have any knowledge of have enbling the same on computeres behind router or on LAN or using CABLE modem ???

  • Valid RTPs NOT passing to Brule V11.1.1.3

    Problem Description: Forms error with the business rules using valid RTPs.
    Form set to run on save, use members on form for prompts. The rule is running on save, but the RTPs are p-up (s/b hidden), then only 'Null' values are being sent to essbase (based on CalcMgrExec log details)
    I can even validate RTP values, then save, throws the error:'An error occurred while attempting to run following Brule...'
    This happens on several forms, had previously worked without error in development.
    NOW IN UAT
    CalcMgrExec log files highlights problem with the following:
    2009-12-09 16:52:07,229 FATAL [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '2' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' com.hyperion.planning.calcmgr.HspCalcMgr -
    Error Cause: [Hyperion][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("HYP_PROD"."USER."VARIABLE_NAME")
    Problem exists in Dev&Test environments, Cannot test forms due to error stopage.

    The first note is very helpful to me who being new to Hyperion.
    The second note gives us the list of different URLs for various services. That is great. However, my issue is i really don't know
    under what ports these services are installed.
    Is there another note somewhere that could tell me various ports for these services?
    Morever, most of these notes talk about how to do all this with respect to Windows platform. I am on Linux.
    Please let me know.

  • Not valid IP Adress but with Internet access

    Hello.
    I have setup my airport extreme but the amber light is flashing and the problem seems to be that "...the device does not have a valid IP adress". The funny thing (and very good thing I believe) is that I do have wireless internet access provided by my airport extreme.
    The only reason for trying to solve this (until now) is that the amber flashing light is starting to annoy me.
    I've tried powering off and on the modem and the AEBS as well, but nothing seems to give a valid IP address.
    Any suggestions?

  • Error validating RTP in @Relative () in HBR

    I am trying to use @Relative () in FIX statement of a HBR in system 11.1.1.3 (from EAS).
    Say my function is *@Relative([ENT_RTP],0)*. When I am putting member name (ent_01) in the prompt by selecting from the outline, it is throwing validation error ( Cannot calculate.Essbase Error(1012005): Invalid dimension name [ent_01].
    Only if I use the dimension name Entity in the prompt, it is validating without error.
    Also, if I replace the prompt by the member name in the function, its validating successfully.
    Can any one tell me if there is a constraint using member name in the prompt of the @Relative() in HBR?

    Check the type of the global variable/RTP you have created.
    You may have selected the type "Dimension" instead of "Member" for the run time prompt [ENT_RTP].
    Also check the default value for the RTP...

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

  • HT1926 How can i run a german and an english itunes account on ONE iphone/pad. Have in each country my own adress and bank account and to each adressa different email.

    I live in germany and work in England
    In both countries i have a proper adress and bank account. I am registered with itunes in germany but need also to buy English Apps.
    So I started an english App account, with valid english  adress and credit card on the same device where the German one is installed
    Means can I have 2 accounts on one and the same advice? Seems

    Also I have the notice on my PC now that Itunes has not been installed correctly please reinstall itunes Error 7 windows error 193

    You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

  • Lync Client uses wrong RTP Ports for calls from/to RGS with Agent Anonymity

    We have QoS implemented and client ports for audio, video und application defined by Set-CsConferencingConfiguration. We also use firewalls in our LAN between the different VLANs for Clients, Servers and Gateways/SBC. Only RTP from the client with the defined
    ports are allowed by the firewall. Media ByPass is enabled.
    In all normal cases, the right ports will be used and marked by GPO with the right DSCP value. But if an agent get a call from a RGS which has agent anonymity enabled, the client uses a port in the range 1024-65535 for audio. Also if you make a call on behalf
    of the RGS, the client use a random port between 1024-65535. As soon, as the source of the call is in another VLAN (e.g. a call from PSTN which comes in over a SBC in e separate VLAN), the firewall between the two VLANs block the RTP traffic.
    We see the deny on the firewall log and in the SBC log we see, the reinvite for the media by pass with the IP of the agent and a not valid port. We also see, that no RTP from the client/agent will arrive the SBC and no RTP from the SBC will arrive the client/agent.
    So the call will be disconnected, as soon as an agent wants accept the call.
    Is there an additional setting to make sure, the Lync client always use the valid RTP port range?
    This behavior exist in Lync 2010 and Lync 2013 clients.

    Sure! I set all AudioPorts on all Services, but the problem are not the ports used by the server, the problem are the ports used by the client. We set the client ports to 49152 with a count of 40. The client (2013 and also 2010) use these ports correctly in all
    cases exept for call from/on behalf of an RGS with Agent Anonymity.
    If we disable the RGS agent anonymity, restart the client of the agent, then the client uses also the correct source ports for RTP.
    I've checked this behaviour now on 3 customer installations, our own productive installation and in our lab.
    Because until now only one of our customers have firewalls between the internal VLANs, only this single customer have the issues...

  • Help with RTP: Format of Stream not supported in RTP Session Manager

    I am quite new to JMF and RTP. So far I've succeeded in capturing audio from the microphone and playing it back. However, I failed when I tried to send the stream over using RTP.
    Here's my program, all it does is: get a DataSource from the CaptureDevice, create a Processor with that DataSource, convert the tracks in the Processor to one of the RTP formats, and create an RTP SendStream using the Processor's output DataSource.
    I can hear sound by creating a Player for the DataSource; however I get errors when I try to create RTP SendStream for the same output DataSource.

    I get an error on the last line, the error is: javax.media.format.UnsupportedFormatException: Format of Stream not supported in RTP Session Manager And again, if I try to encode the tracks into *AudioFormat.GSM_RTP* instead of *DVI_RTP*, I get a different error on the same line:Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerExceptionWell I don't understand what's happening, is there something I need to do before I can use RTP?

  • About transmitting audio by RTP

    I want to create a simple application that transfers audio online through RTP. both the sender machine and receiver machine have public ip address. I tried JMStudio and AVTransmit2/AVReceiver2 without success till now! it drives me crazy. I really don't know what's wrong here. is there anyone really make it work?
    even I can see the receiver machine keep receiving data through the port I specify to transfer data(the port is 22224), the JMStudio or AVReceiver2 on receiver machine just waiting for data, also I can see the statistic of JMStudio on sender machine reports transfer successful and the data keeping transferred. I also tried to use broadcast way, that is, changing the last part of sender's ip address to 255, still no luck! the receiver can't receive any data!
    since I use Ubuntu, there is no firewall, no port is blocked. I can access from receiver to sender or vice versa using SSH. I don't think there is any connection problem, also I can see the receiver keeping receive data.
    I transfer a mp3 file through RTP session. I installed mp3 plugin on both receiver machine and sender machine. I can play it using JMStudio on both receiver machine and sender machine locally.
    could anyone kindly let me know how I should do, or if there is any very very simple java program to transfer anything using RTP on internet? could you please tell me your configuration if you happen to make it work?

    if you have a microphone in your pc, AVTranmit2 and AVReceive2 command should be:
    on your own pc:

    on target pc:

    since the same port cannot be used simutaneously by two applications(avreceive2 and avtransmit2), the above command can only be used on two different pcs (your pc and target pc).
    if you wanna execute AVReceive2 and AVTransmit2 on the same pc, you have to modify the source codes. I have done that.

  • What's wrong with my browsers?

    When i first got my macbook the internet was going really slow but then i changed the dns server to 4.2.2.2 and sometimes change it to 4.2.2.1 and the internet got better but now my browsers are acting funny.
    One moment i'm surfing webpages with safari or firefox.... Chatting with AdiumX or MS Messenger... and suddenly it just stops... Msn is getting time-out's, Safari says I'm not connected.
    But Airport sais it is still connected to my wireless network (with all the black bar's filled). It has valid IP adress etc, But everywhere I want to go on the internet it sais I'm not connected.
    When I disconnect the airport en let it reconnect with my wireless network, the connection is fine.
    how can i fix this?

    Most users shouldn't be manually entering DNS addresses, and those DNS addresses you mention probably aren't intended for end users. Is Level3 your ISP?
    That doesn't answer 'what's wrong with my browsers?', but a good start would be to configure your network according to your ISP's instructions. If you have DNS problems then, you might try using OpenDNS.

  • Web Cam applet is not working in great consistency

    Hi... My video capturing applet is not working very well.
    The image stream is displayed on the web page in JPEG format with 0.5 quality. However, it crashes after a while and the it does not release the vfw resource.
    I have to restart my machine in order to execute it again.
    Can anyone please help?

  • Exception in thread "RTPC Report" java.lang.NullPointerException

    Hi.. I am having the above problem when ruuning my transmission program..
    I run my code and it seems to be ok... There is message showing the web cam stream is being transmitted...
    However, it dawn on me when i could not even receive any stream via JMStudio with the specified address. e.g. 220.10.10.20 at port 2020.
    Can any one please help?

    Ok I reviewed your code and there were a couple things which I am confused about. Firstly, it looks like you have a section of code which checks to see if the ip address preffix is within the 240-223 range, which tells me that you are trying to implement multicast addresses. However, your example ip is out of the multicast range. Also the InetAddress has an isMulticastAddress() method which can check that for you.
    Those are just the first things that struck me and I'll keep going through the code.
