Valid to date for BOM Header and Item

Hello everyone,
I have been searching for "valid-to" date for BOM header and Items since several days but no luck ..
I know we can see it using transactions cs11/cs03 etc. But i wish to know the table where they are stored. As I need to extract them to BW.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

In table STPO,the field AEDAT gets updated only when a change number is used,otherwise the valid to date will be shown nil here.

Query to display BOMs Header and Item

Hello SAP gurus
I am trying to create a query to display BOMs with header and item. For that I am using tables MAST, STKO and STPO.
The table join is:
MAST -> STKO -> STPO
MAST - WERKS, STLNR and STLAL
STKO - STLNR and STPOZ
The system dont show anything...
Can someone help me?

Yes, it works but...
If I have 2 alternatives, the system show everything even if i select alternative 1 or 2.
I am missing something... because system is showing all alternatives...

Tables for BOM Header and Components

Dear Friends,
Please let me know which tables provide a link between the header Material and corresponding Component Materials of a BOM?
I have seen STKO and STPO but couldn't find such a link in them. STPO gives the component material but I couldn't get any link to Header material.

Table for BOM header - STKO
Table for BOM item - STPO
Table for material to BOM link - MAST
Check if MARC table has a material in it and the same material is available in MAST also, it means that BOM has been created for that material..
If Material is available in MARC and not available in MAST, it means BOM has not been created for that material.

Disabling partner data tab at header and item.

Is there any user exit to disable 4 out of the 5 partners in the partner functions tab at header and item level as my requirement is not to allow the user to change the partner functions SP, SH,BP,PY. I cant use SHD0 or use the not-changeable function in VOPA hence the need for user exit.

try with:
Path: SPRO --> IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Partner Determination --> Set up Partner Determination
Choose Activity: Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header
Select Partner: TA, and click: Partner Function in Procedure
Give Work Area as, say TA and WE (or SH).
Now, in next screen, click Box: N, to avoid changes in Sales Doc. i.e. Sales Order.
Similary, maintain for Bill-to-Party and Payer.
User won't be able to make changes in Partner Fucton in Sales Doc.

SQVI for BOM header and component -reg

Hi ,
Requirement is we need to download BOM header wise Components for the BOM headers across the plants
As it is of mass and for around 7000 BOM headers we need the details , i have created a SQVI query using MAST , STKO and STPO
but when i execute it in masss inputting the BOM headers results are not correct with errors like repetitions , not matching with CS03 etc...
is there any other effective way for this requirement ?
i need to input the BOM header material and where and all plants they have BOM i need to get the corresponding BOM components
pl suggest soon as it is relevant for year end

Hi ,
Tried with the combination of MAST--STKO-STAS----STPO , still having issues
SQVI results shows combination of soem BOM headers and components which are not yet all linked through BOM , wehn i cross check the result through CS03 , for the BOM header , plant there is no BOM still SQVI shows the records again with repititions
dont know which is missing as earlier i used to feel this SQVI is effective but i think if we use more number of tables we get issues ..
i can not ask for ABAP report development as this is one time activity required for year end things
if some one can share any doc on this please share, as i tried and tired with all combinations
can not use the function module as i need to input materials in mass

User exit for controling header and item division

Hi all,
Currently there is restriction in sales document for header division and item division i.e. if header division is 10 then it is not accepting the products of division 20, 30, 40, 50 at item level.
If the restriction is removed then it will allow products of all division in a sales document irrespective of header division (if the customer is extended for all the sales area).
But we would like to allow products of division 10, 20 and 30 in one sales document if header division is 10 or 20 or 30.
How can it possible? Can it be possible through user exit? Any standard user exit is available or we would have to develop one?
Please guide me how to go about.

2. To enable to incorporate other division than header at a item level is ok, but restriction on some division at item level is what i want to know, weather through user exit and which user exit? or I will have to create user define User Exit?
e.g. customer 1234 is created for all the sales area
Sales areas are : 1000 10 10
                          1000 10 20
                          1000 10 30
                          1000 10 40
                          1000 10 50
now in ZOR Sales document(where there is no restriction of item division) if I enter sales area 1000 10 10 at header it will allow the product of all division.
but i want if i put at header 1000 10 10 then it should allow the products of division 10 and 20 only and not to allow products of divsion 30,40,50 in one sales document
similar if i put sales area 1000 10 30 at header level it should allow me to enter products of division 30,40,50 and should not allow products 10, 20 in one sales docuemnt

'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.

Hi Experts,
My Requirement:
Need to display the 'Valid to' dates for both the Header & the components in the BOM report.
Right now we are using the Functional modules 'GET_STKO' & 'GET_STPO' for the header
& the components respectively. The report gives the correct output for the all the BOM alternatives
which exist. But for the BOM alternatives which have been deleted(updated in STKO-LKENZ)
'Valid to' dates are displayed as'00/00/0000'.
(Note:ECM is used for BOMs)
Is there any Logical Database that I can fetch the 'Valid to' dates of both BOM Header & components
which are deleted?

Dear Mahesh,
In my understanding I dont think you cannot get the valid to date for BOM header,unless a ECN,(engineering change number) is
used to set the deletion flag.In otherwords none of the business sets for all these BOM's the valid to date(which means the
default valid to date 31.12.9999 is taken).
Check with this FM, CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 whether can you get the valid to date for the components(infact here also the
valid from date given in the input screen impacts the report output).
Check and revert back.

Hi Varun,
As per my observation, we cannot set valid to date for a BOM. When you delete the BOM then the deletion date will becomes valid to date, the same will apply to items within BOM.
Thw work around is you can create production version in MRP4 view and set the vaild from and valid to date for this version and assign this to part with BOM details. Now the BOM will be picked up as per the validity of the version.
You have to give BOM selection criteria is "selection by production version" in MRP4 view.

Checkbox in header and item level records.

Hello Freinds,
I have a requirment in which I need to display checkboxes in front of header as well as item level records. I am trying to make a copy of standard transaction VL37. This transaction uses the REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY for displaying header and item level data. I debugged and found that in the alv layout there is a field with name box name. If we pass the name of header internal table to that field then we can get checkbox in front of header level records and if we pass item level internal table name then it shows the checkbox in front of item level records.
Can anyone provide some possibility of adding checkbox for both header and item level records while using the same ALV FM.

I am also kind of facing the same issue. I have used the FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY for ALV display. And I need to add checkbox at item level.
I have tried to add checkbox through field catalog. Following is the code I'm writing.
l_wa_fieldcat-fieldname = l_c_flag.
l_wa_fieldcat-tabname   = l_c_item.
l_wa_fieldcat-checkbox = abap_true.
*l_wa_fieldcat-edit_mask = abap_f.
l_wa_fieldcat-edit      = abap_true.
l_wa_fieldcat-key       = abap_true.
l_wa_fieldcat-seltext_m = l_c_flag.
APPEND l_wa_fieldcat to em_it_fieldcat.
But in this case the checkbox appears in disabled form.
Can you please help? Could you be a bit elaborate on your answer i.e. the code snippet? Many thanks.

Could you guys please help understand how i can retreive LIS header and ITEM level DS? what is that contains and how i can use that inforamation in BW?
do i need to have diferrent target for Both DS?

hope u r using the LO extractions.
for loading data to the BW for LO header and item for any applications, hope u can use different DSO/ODS at the first level and can combine the data in the next level with cube. if you do this type then memory is saved in the second level but report performance will be low.
in the second lvele also if u use two cube to store data and using multiprovider combine both the cubes to achieve effective and effiecient reports with good performance.

Same condition type on header and item level = printing problem

I have a customer using some condition types on both item level and header level in quotations, orders, invoices ...
In the pricing procedures it is customized (V_T683S-DRUKZ) that the conditions must be printed on header level (that is at the bottom of the documents).
My job is to make the Smartform to print the documents, and I want it of course to be as close to SAP standard as possible.
SAP standard will print these conditions on header level even if the conditions are at item level, but my customer wants the conditions created on header level to be printed on header level and conditions created on item level to be printed on item level.
I'm no pricing expert, so my question is:
Will it be fair if I tell the customer that using the same condition types on header and item level is bad practices - or at least bad karma?

I have no problem understanding header vs. item conditions, so I really don't see anything in oss note 876617, that is relevant in this case.
Madhu - I do not agree that everything is fine. My issue is that I want to stick as closely to SAP standard customizing as possible. In SAP standard customizing of a condition type you can use the flag V_T683S-DRUKZ to determine if the condition should be printed on header OR item level - you can not choose both header AND item level.
I have a SAP standard smartform using two functions modules for reading header and item conditions. RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM and RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD. These function modules are based on the DRUKZ customizing flag and a condition marked for printing on header level will be supplied by RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD even when the condition is on item level.
My point is: SAP standard customizing does not support printing of same condition on both header and item level. I can of course write tons of code to work around this problem, but that would be bad practices

Check box in header and item

     I have a small problem regarding the checkboxes in the hierarchical Display.The challenge is i am unable to get the checkboxes for both header and item details in the hierarchy display.
                      Either header or item is getting the checkbox not both. Also, if a header checkbox is checked all the items corresponding to it should get checked automatically.
                    So please let me know the solution to this mystery.

1. If you want to calculate tax in FB50 , you have to select teh Calculate tax indicator in the header & you have to give Tax code in teh respective line .
Even if you give tax code in the line item without tick the Calculate Tax indicator in the header system won't calculate tax.
2.Tax codes are created under teh TAX procedure.Thisd tax procedure is assgined to country.
So the tax codes you are creating are country specific.

Get Line item data using method:
CALL METHOD IM_ITEM->GET_DATA
RECEIVING
RE_DATA = W_ITM_DATA.
and then validate the item data from structure W_ITM_DATA..
Same as follows for Header Records:
In method IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST~PROCESS_Header.
