Valid users can see a site, but not the document libraries they have permissions for
Hello everybody,
at a customer's site, there is SharePoint Foundation 2013 SP1 running, bound to both http and https. Seeminlgy out of nothing, a strange behavior occurred: Visting
http://intranet/subsite showed the page headers (logo, global navigation etc.), but no content. The welcome text was missing as well as the links to the document libraries which should appear in the left navigation.
After explicitely adding http://intranet as an alternate name (https://intranet was active only, don't know why), we can again reach content via http. Still strange appears, that
http://intranet global navigation links get redirected to https (fine, but unexpected). If we change a deep link to a document library from https to http in the browser's address bar, we can reach the content fine.
However, one problem still exists: This site gets published via TMG 2010 via https, and that also worked just fine for many months. But now, I can try what I want in TMG, valid authenticated users see only the top navigation, but no content at all.
Can anyone give me a hint about what to check? Of course, I will provide any info you may need.

Thank you for your response. As to your questions:
I just added http://intranet to the alternate access mappings of the intranet zone and did not extend a website.
Besides SharePoint Central Administration, there is no other SharePoint web site collection on this server, and no other non-SharePoint-IIS-Site. This is a VM for nothing else than hosting this single intranet site collection.
We do see the same issue under two sub-websites underneath
http://intranet, namely http://intranet/Datenaustausch and
http://intranet/Protokolle. In both sub-sites, there is some welcome text on the home page and there are several document libraries, each with permissions not interited, but explicitely granted to specific users.
The first (solved) issue was, that we could not see the document libraries when using http, but could see them using https. This was solved by adding the alternate access mapping for
http://intranet explicitely.
We can successfully browse the sites (using http and https now) from the internal network. The one issue left is that the same does not work through TMG, that is, coming from the external network, we can see and call up the sites in a browser, but not any
content in them. We do see the site title and logo, and the global navigation at the top of the page, but we do not see the welcome text, nor the document libraries. This did work last week, and we do not know nor could find, why it stopped working. The issue
persists regardless of whether we use bridging to https or to http between TMG and SharePoint.
We have already restarted the SharePoint box, with no success.
If I can provide any further information needed, I will be glad to do so.

Can anyone give me a solution to this.Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Suddenly I cannot see my gmail in my inbox on my macbook. I tested it and I can see my gmail in google. I deleted my gmail account on my macbook mail and re-added it and still cannot see incoming gmail. I can see new icloud e-mail. I have both a gmail account and an icloud account. How to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?

I have created one project assigning different users in Solution manger. I want to risitrict some of the users to change the project structure but simultaneously allwoing the project documents to be created, edited or deleted using solar01 under Project documentation tab. For that I have followed the steps provided in the follwoing link.

I am able to restrict the users to change the project structure, but I am not able to allow access to the project documents. It gives me the message "You are not authorised to change the project". This fulfills my one of the requirements. But, Is there any way to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?. Any help will be apperitiated.

Basically there are 2 different authorization role ...you should look for and customize as per requirement in Z* namespace.
role - SAP_SOLAR01_ALL
this take care of objects in Solar01 like tab access etc
role -SAP_SOL_KW_ALL
this takes care of entire documentation within solman

I have a business and I use iCal for all my appointments, how can I print receipts from my MacBook to a receipt printer?
I want my clients to have a receipt of the services that they have paid for, can anyone HELP ME PLEASE?Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025. So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3). When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr. I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports. This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.

Users can Edit over Web but not iCal
My iCal server was running fine for months. My Groups had calendars enabled and the members of that group saw those calendars in iCal under Accounts->Delegation. I don't know when this happened but now when I add new members to the group, they can't see the group name in their iCal Delegation. They can edit the calendar via the web, but iCal can't see it at all. The users who had delegation set up properly for their group calendars have not been affected for those old calendars, but when I that user to another calendar-enabled group, that calendar does not show up in the delegation list.
I can see this work by viewing the settings in Safari.
I have a user named 'stupid' and a group named 'test'.
'Stupid' has calendaring enabled. 'Test' has wiki, blog, and calendaring enabled. Group members only are able to read and write to these services. 'Stupid' is the only member of the group 'test', and that is 'stupid's only group.

Same thing in proxy-read. So while the iCal server does see 'stupid' as a member of 'test', it isn't really.
Something similar shows up for older groups. When I click on proxy-write for an older group I can see all of the members that were there months ago, but newly added members (that is users that have been on the server for at least a year but are new to the group) don't show up in the list.
When I go to iCal and add 'stupid' as an account I can see and edit 'stupid's calendar, but nothing shows up under delegation.
Service Access allows all users and groups to the iCal service.
I have stopped and restarted the iCal service and the server itself several times. I have also checked for users in both OD and Local. All users are OD only.
The only thing I can get from my iCal error log is:

So if Workgroup Manager doesn't edit the iCal sql tables properly, what else can I use?Making a user a member of a group does not automatically make them a delegate of that group. They are members in the sense that they have full read-write access to the group data, but they won't have that group show up as a delegate.
To make a user a delegate of a group, someone who is a member of that group needs to create a new account in iCal and set the server account URL to point to the groups principal path (/principals/groups/testgroup/ as the path in the URL) then they should add the user as a delegate via the iCal preferences panel for that account. -
Can see in appletviewer but not in browser

I am trying to display a text on JTextArea using the code below. In appletviewer this is OK but I can not see the text on browser (IE 6, NS 8, Firefox 1.0.7). The browser only show a retangle applet. No exceptions.
If I insert this two lines

here's my prob: i am testing my viewer app for a multifolio subscription app. I can see the free issue but not the retail issue. I checked probably all the possible probs: in app purchase and retail folio have same ID, i logged out from iTunes and created a test account for the purchase. But after i tested and downloaded the free issue and loaded in the folio organizer the retail folio, nothing else appears in my .ipa...
Any help would be soooooo appreciatedok, solved (but i'll leave the thread on, so it might be useful to anyone else): the problem was about IDs. Bundle ID was different from folio ID (i mean com.company.publication). They HAVE to be exactly the same

Why a SAN switch can see vHBA WWPNs but not WWNN?
I have setup UCSM but the SAN switches (EMC) could only see all the WWPN on each server's vHBA, not the WWNN. They are all UCS B200M2 model. I saw the WWNNs are already assign to all service profile as shown in the storage tab.
Has anyone encountered this before? I am digging my head for more than 2 hours but no clue.
Rebooted the blades, disassociate/reassociate blades, re-ack blades, unbind/rebind vHBA templates on the server's vHBA had been done but no luck

kind regards,Simon is correct. In UCSM is where you would only see the WWNN under the storage tab. You are only zoning the WWPN. If I may ask, what reason would you need to see the WWNN if the paths to the HBA is being seen?

Yesterday i decided i wanted music on my phone and decided to sync my phone to my itunes and computer..
But lets backtrack first... Earlier in the day i decided to plug a (non iphone heaphone into the headphone port) and much to my ssureprise it worked (all ive ever dealt with is blackberry) unplugged the headphones and a few hours later this is where i synced my phone tried to play music an GASP nothing..in the music app the volume nubs are gray and cannot be moved left or right and no sound is being heard.. also when i tried to check to see if my ringer was going up and down it was displaying the little speaker but not the bar that moves. Read the discussions here and it seemed that we've all been screwed now i love my iphone and all its features only phone ive ever wanted but i would love this to be fixed.

Bonjour - Mac A can see Mac B but not vice versa

Very odd behaviour with Bonjour. Up until yesterday, my macbook pro (call it A) would see my mac pro (B) - it would appear automatically in A's sidebar, I could listen to B's iTunes library on A and so on. No problem and there hasn't been for a couple of years. B could not see A - but I didn't really need it to and this wasn't an issue.
Suddenly, this morning, the situation is completely reversed. A can no longer see B at all, but B can see A.
I can connect both ways by using 'Connect', I can ping both ways, but I can't get A to discover B using Bonjour.
The only think I've done that I can think can have caused the changes is to use Omnifocus sync (with B holding the sync server) - it worked fine all day, but overnight Bonjour seems to have reversed itself as described above.
Bonjour Browser shows me that B can see A, but A can't see B. I have identical settings on both machines for sharing, network, firewall (all everything).
Bizarrely, for one two minute period a couple of hours ago, the situation reversed itself (A could see B but not vice versa), but then immediately went back to B can see A, but not vice versa.
Both computers are running the same version of Leopard (10.5.7). I've reinstalled the OS on B, just to see, but this hasn't improved matters.
I can find nothing on google or this discussions forum to explain this bizarre behaviour - most support threads seem to peter out without being resolved. Has anyone any idea what's going on please? I'm quite happy getting stuck into the command line, if that's needed.

DavidThe Macbook Pro is connected wirelessly to the router, the Mac Pro connects to the same router by ethernet.
As far as I'm aware, I'd made no changes to any of the setups (computers or router) before the problem occurred: bonjour worked fine, but in one direction only (the MBP could see the Mac Pro, but not vice versa). Now, the Mac Pro can see the MBP, but not vice versa - and this is a problem because my printer and itunes server both sit on the Mac Pro.
I've set all the firewall and security settings I could find to transparent access - and (except for the obvious difference between the wired and wireless links), the setups are identical on both computers.
By the way, I can connect to the Mac Pro easily enough and transfer files, I just can't see it via bonjour or use Screen Sharing (again the settings haven't changed since they were working!)

Two Users can connect to apleu3test02 but not each other

I have been trying to connect to with my wife whom is on a road runner cable modem behind a belkin wireless router. I am on a comcast cable modem behind a linksys wrt54gv4 router, however it is flashed with an open source firmware. Both of us can connect to the various test users out there but we have intermitent issues connecting with each other. I am guessing that this could be partially due to our maximum uploads being about 345kbps. I have not setup any port forwarding, triggering, or ther router adjustments yet. I figured if I can connect to the apple test users it should not be a problem. I am working on trying to test without my router but comcast will not let me mac grab a dhcp address. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Wife = 1.67 g4 ibook with 512 mb ram 10.4.7I'm having the exact same problem. My father and I were able to communicate for weeks with no issues and since updating to 10.4.7 we have a 90% failure rate with video chat. It worked once last night and once this morning otherwise its an error -8.
Now until recently we have never port forwarded anything except VNC and I can't see how we could use this method with iChat when we have numerous users here at home.
I think the most frustrating part is it works from time to time and I can find the reason why.

I created Playlist on my iPad (iPod App).....but they disappeared after sync process with my laptop. Why? What should I have done so they don' t go way? Doesn't make sense to redo them every time.
