Validating file, b4 creating idoc

Hi,
Is it possible to validate file b4 creating idoc in DB?
we are getting it from FILE port for example...
plz suggest..thanks in advance...

Hi,
After getting the data from the file port,
You have to send these data into the particular structure of EDIDD,
According to your segments in the idoc.
so while passing the data you cna do the validations before calling the final FM MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE, for creating the idocs.
Please let me know if you need further info.

  • Creating a flat file in the IDOC format

    Hi everybody,
Need help.....urgently. Can somebody please tell me how to create a flat file in the IDOC format? I am creating a bill of lading/Documentary payments (EDI 858) and can't figure out a way to write the data generate through the report in a flat file in IDOC format. My deadline is right around the corner and I need help.
    Thanks,
    M

    Hi Minal,
I still don't understand your question.
So, you have a report which selects data and puts it into an internal table.  This part looks fine.
You want to create a flat file?  Ok, to create a flat file on the application server then use the commands OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER, and CLOSE DATASET.  To create a flat file on the presentation server then use the FM GUI_DOWNLOAD (or the GUI class, I forgets its name for the moment).
In both cases you should build up an internal table which has the exact structure required for your (EDIFACT?) EDI message, and then use the appropriate method to write the file.
If the following steps are manual then there is nothing more for you to do.
I don't see any need to use Idoc technology, or make any reference to it in your solution.
I hope that helps.  If not, please be more specific when asking your questions.

  • Creating idoc, downloading them in flat-files,sending them in zipped form

    Hi Friends,
Presently I have a requirement regarding creation of WPDBBY idocs, downloading them in flat files and sending the files in zipped form to the user.
    1. In the first program bonusbuy records have to be fetched which have been created/changed during the selection period. for every selected bonusbuy record transaction WPMA is executed which will create an WPDBBY Idoc for the Bonusbuy.
    2. In the second program the idocs created are taken as input. first all deletion idocs are sorted. A deletion idoc can be recognized because it only has one segment (E1WPBB01) and in this segment the field AENDKENNZ equals DELE. For every idoc a file is created The name of this file is determined via the Logical file from the selection screen, with a sequence number. It is then saved. All files are zipped en send. After processing of the Idocs, the Idoc status is changed to u201818u2019.
If any of you have information about how to do this then pls tell me. I will definitely reward points for your heplful answers. Thanks!

    Hi,
For creating zip files and related processing use class cl_abap_zip.
You can check sample code at

  • Create IDOC from file

I have received an IDOC order file, and I know there is a standard program RSEINB00 to create IDOC in system.
I would like to delete/add segments, change field contents in segements in the IDOC according to some of the segments in IDOC. Where can I manuplate it?
    Thanks for your advice.

I am not test an IDOC file. I regularly receive IDOC file and need to manuplate the content, e.g. delete some of the segments, determine and fill in field content in some segments.
I just wonder if I can change the IDOC content after it is created in system, just like what I can do in WE19, but using a program. Is there any standard program for this purpose?
Or is there any user exit I can use when creating IDOC from file?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
      I am working FIL-TO-IDOC scenario.
       my idoc : DESADV.DELVRY03.
while creating IDOC in target end created with error status 51.
the error is POSEX field is empty.
I gave the value for POSEX  then i tried it is giving another error..'field POSEX is empty'
actully what i need to give for POSEX.
where do i find the POSEX value for delivery document.
Please can any one help me to create succefully with Delyry03 idoc.
I have another douts also..to create the Delivery document IDOC is DESADV.DELVRY03 is correct or not...if any other IDOC's is there to create delivery document.

    Hi Venu,
<i>>>>I have another douts also..to create the Delivery document IDOC is DESADV.DELVRY03 is correct or not...if any other IDOC's is there to create delivery document.</i>
This IDOC is the right one.
POSEX is the external item number. How many line items are there, I mean how many delivery items are there? Are you sure you are assigning POSEX for all the records?

  • Can XI create file output like IDoc appears written to file port

When an Idoc is written to the file port the structure has the segment names and control info in addition to the Idoc contents.
Is there a way to pass the Idoc to XI directly and have the file adapter create the the Idoc so it looks just like the Idoc written directly from sap via the file port?

Mark, In the Content Conversion in the Receievr File adapter, add the field,
SegmentName.addHeaderLine with value as 1. This will add the column name to the field value.
    +NameA.addHeaderLine
Specify whether the text file will have a header line with column names. The following values are permitted:
    ·        0 – No header line
    ·        1 – Header line with column names from the XML document
    ·        2 – As for 1, followed by a blank line
    ·        3 – Header line is stored as NameA.headerLine in the configuration and is applied
    ·        4 – As for 3, followed by a blank line
    Note
This specification is only permitted if exactly one structure is defined.

  • Create IDOC from XML file

    Hi,
I want to create Scheduling Agreement from idoc using XML file means i am receiving XML file and i want to convert this XML file into IDOC and finally process this IDOC to craete scheduling agreement.
But i don't have any idea for this.pl. tell me what should i do for this.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi,
You are receiving XML file and you want that to converted into the IDOC and inturn to be processed in your system, for this you need to create an XML port and you need to read the file from that port then an IDOC will be created.  Create an XML file port in WE21 transaction and then goto WE16 transaction and you can use that transaction to upload a file as an IDOC into the SAP system.
Once the IDOC is created rest of the activity is same.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.

  • Error Handling in File to Multiple IDOC Scenario?

    Hello Experts,
My scenario is file with Multiple records and I want to send it to SAP system. If there will be 10 Records in my file I need to create 10 IDOC in Target system.
I can use below of the two options.
    1) File to Multiple Idoc (1.N Mapping)
    2) Using BPM
3)Directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
However I am not clear in which option error handling will be more effective. Please suggest.
Basically I want to handle If out of 10 records 9 are correct and 1 record is not correct then I should be able to report within PI without affecting 9 correct records. Is it possible 9 records will be sent to SAP system and PI will only show error for 1 incorrect record.
Also I will be doing this scenrio for transaction data with huge size (1 Million Records).Which approach will be more effective in this case.
    Thanks,
    Pushkar

    Hi Patel,
I want to handle If out of 10 records 9 are correct and 1 record is not correct then I should be able to report within PI without affecting 9 correct records. Is it possible 9 records will be sent to SAP system and PI will only show error for 1 incorrect record.
when working on graphical mapping, the target structure is created when there are no errors in all records of source structure.
suppose if we have validation error in 9th and 10th record, then we can not process the first eight records and inturn we can not store the two error records in XI for further.
i suggest you the third option, you can directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
this is far better because you can do more customizations as you have to deal with millions of records.

    Pradeep A.

  • Guarantee EOIO Processing in File-RFC-RFC-IDoc Scenario

Looking for some opinions on the following set up we've got.  We're trying to build QoS EOIO on a scenario that goes File Sender->RFC and then RFC->IDoc.  My question is basically have we effectively ensured that our scenario will be EOIO from file to IDoc.  We want the first record in the file to always be the first created IDoc, the 10th record in the file to always be the 10th IDoc created etc.....  We also want to make sure that if we encounter an error at any point that all subsequent processing stops and waits until the problem is resolved.  We've successfully completed some steps but my biggest concern is in the area between where XI sends the data to SAP1 via RFC and the resulting return RFC from SAP1.  I'm thinking we may not be quite there yet and would be interested to hear what others thought.
We're on SP15.  The scenario goes like this (no BPM):
    1) We have a legacy system LEG1 that we pick files up from using the Sender File adapter.  This step will take the file from LEG1 into XI and map it to an SAP remote function on SAP system SAP1.  We set QoS on the file adapter to EOIO.  Our interface determination for the File to RFC component is set to QoS of "Maintain Order at Runtime".
    2) XI makes the RFC call to SAP1 (6.20) using an RFC receiver adapter.  The called function then processes the data and returns the data back to XI using another remote function call.  This function call is of type tRFC where we call the function "in background task" and issue a commit after the RFC call.
    3) We receive the data into XI from SAP1 using the RFC sender adapter.  XI maps it to our IDoc layout and sends it onto another SAP system called SAP2.  Again here our interface determination QoS is set to "Maintain Order at Runtime".
    4) XI passes the IDoc onto SAP2 (7.00) using a receiver IDoc adapter. The paramter Queue Processing is turned on.

About EOIO in qRFCs, actually this is quite a polemic topic.
There is something you could do, allright, but it is controversial whether you could properly call it "EOIO" or not.
Refer to this thread for further discussion: use EOIO on Sender RFC and outbound ABAP proxy calls
Supposing you call the other RFC before you commit work in the receiver RFC, and supposing you could have EOIO at 2nd RFC (sender RFC), all these assumptions could mean that you would guarantee EOIO end-to-end. But they are just assumptions.
You have to try it and stress test the scenario to guarantee the validity of this design.
One other approach would be a BPM with all steps in one single transaction (check BPM transaction handling). The steps would be:
File -> sync RFC -> Idoc
where the response of RFC should be the necessary information for triggering the IDoc, and all send steps would be in EOIO mode (set queue name in Send steps). Also, file sender adapter QoS should be set to EOIO.
But I'm also not sure that this will guarantee EOIO end-to-end (possibly not...)
    Good luck.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • STEPS for creating IDOC .

I need to creat IDOC for whenever  delivery is created .

    Hi
Take the correct Idoc type and Message Type and process code from EDBAS and EDMSG tables and use
    see the doc
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
    Try this..Hope this will help.
    >>>> SAP ALE & IDOC<<<<
    Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
    1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
    2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
    3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
    4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)
    5. Ports in Idoc processing(WE21)
    6. Generate partner profiles for sending system
    The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
    • Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
    • Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
    • Generate outbound partner profiles;
    • Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
    • Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>
    1. Define IDoc Segment (WE31)
    2. Convert Segments into an IDoc type (WE30)
    3. Create a Message Type (WE81)
    4. Create valid Combination of Message & IDoc type(WE82)
    5. Define Processing Code(WE41 for OUT / WE42 for IN)
    6. Define Partner Profile(WE20)
    Important Transaction Codes:
SALE - IMG ALE Configuration root
WE20 - Manually maintain partner profiles
BD64 - Maintain customer distribution model
BD71 - Distribute customer distribution model

    BDM2 - IDoc Trace
    BDM7 - IDoc Audit Analysis
BD21 - Create IDocs from change pointers
    SM58 - Schedule RFC Failures
    Basic config for Distributed data:
    BD64: Maintain a Distributed Model
    BD82: Generate Partner Profile
    BD64: Distribute the distribution Model
    Programs
RBDMIDOC – Creating IDoc Type from Change Pointers
RSEOUT00 – Process all selected IDocs (EDI)

  • Unable to create IDOCs after client copy

I'm unable to create IDOCs after a client copy.  I receive a SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC or insert of duplicate rows ABAP dump.
Does anyone know what how to fix this.  Thank you in advance.
    Runtime Error          SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
    Except.                CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    Date and Time          22.10.2007 16:50:51
    ShrtText
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
    What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLEDI1" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
    neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
    "F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
    How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
    use the following search criteria:
    "SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
    "SAPLEDI1" or "LEDI1F09"
    "F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
    1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
    Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
    "System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
    supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
    Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
    "F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
"(FORM)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

  • One file for multiple IDOCs

    Hi,
Need help on IDOC files created on application server.
For IDOCs of EDI type generally one file is created on application server for one idoc. Is there any way to create a common file for multiple IDOCs that are created in a batch job?
    Thanking in anticipation
    Sudhir Bhate

    Hi Sudhir;
Yes, it is a setting on the outbound parameters of the partner profile.  In the section for "output mode," select "Collect IDocs."  This link to help.sap.com describes the procedure:

  • B2B-51507 - Payload Validation Error - while creating  VDA -4913V3

I created a document definition under Positional Flat file for VDA-> 4913V4. I created ecs file using the Document editor and created the xsd. I used both these files in creating the Document definition. In the document definition, under identification tab, I have these values.
    Identification Value -> empty
    Identification Start Position -> 0
    Identification End Position -> 128
And I created a Partner Agreement using this Document Definition. I created a channel to send the document to GXS Mailbox.
In the agreement if I have both Validate and Translate checked on, I am getting an error which is show in the reports->Business Message.
    Error Code B2B-51507
Error Description Machine Info: (RRDV2SOA) Description: Payload validation error.
    Error Level ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
    Error Severity ERROR
    Error Text Payload validation error.
If I have only Translate checked on, I am not getting any error, but the message that is sent to GXS is zero bytes.
If I leave both Validate and translate unchecked, the xml is sent to GXS but not the native Format.
I took the payload from the business message and validated and it looks correct.
I am using the sample data that is already validated in the B2B Document Editor using Data Analyzer.
Can you help me on this. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. If needed I can send you the ecs, xsd, and B2B partner definition export zip file to your email address.
Here is the logfile for this error.

    Thank you
    Krishna.

I selected the option "Save guideline before exporting". I am guessing it is failing on the main element of the xml message because of some namespace issue. I am generating the XML using xsl transformationin BPEL and sending the XML payload to B2B Service.
Is there a way to know what part of the XML is erroring duing the validation on the server. The error message is not helpful even I turned on Trace 32 level.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you
    Krishna
