I'm reinstalling MC6 but it won't validate the serial number I used when I purchased the product. How is this resolved?

In this case I would suggest your to check your host file entries once.
You refer below link ( step 3 )
Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later
If there are no Adobe entries under your hosts file , Try to disable your Anti-virus software for a while and check ( make sure to disable the firewall option anti-virus if available)

I just downloaded iphoto from the app store and now it tells me I have an update but it tells me I need to sign on to the user name I used when I purchased the upgrade. I am in the correct username. Whats wrong?

I just downloaded iPhoto upgrade for my Macbook. I just bought Lion and wanted to upgrade my iLife suite. I downloaded this and it works great. I looked the other day at the App Store and saw it said upgrade beside iPhoto. I clicked it and it told me to sign in as the username I bought the upgrade from. I am in the correct log in.
Also I have Lion and it is amazing but it says download beside it. I have Lion and I don't need to download it again. I click it and it reinstalls it to my computer just to tell me that it cannot be installed. Whats up with these situations?

I had a similar issue and it was an easy fix for me. First you need to log out of your account completely in the Mac App Store. Quit the application. Re-open the Mac App Store. Click log-in, enter your Apple-ID and password. Now when the screen pops-up that has all of your billing/credit card information on it DO NOT select done. Instead select View my Account, then select View hidden purchases. There you should be able to find iPhoto. Hope this helps if not let me know. I'm still searching solutions for you.

I bought PageMaker 6.5 in when I was teaching, and I have been retired over ten years. I upgraded to InDesign 3 in 2007. Two weeks ago my hard drive crashed. In installing InDesign 3 again, I'm asked for old PM6.5 serial number, which I can't find. I've used PageMaker since it was put out by Aldus in the 80s, and I have the first serial number from that set of floppies, from which I upgraded to all others, but I'm told no serial # from PM 6.5, I have to buy it all again!!!!! Is there any reason in this?

It looks like you have got an upgrade version of the new product. this means that you must have an old product that you used to obtain a discount on Adobe product. Therefore, the Installation process needs to verify this and the only way to do this is to have your old serial number. I wish I had your valid e-mail address to advise you further.

There was no new serial needed to update from Logic 9 to 9.1.7
If your Logic 9 was an upgrade from Logic 8 it may be asking you for your original Logic 8 Full serial first and then your Logic 9 Upgrade serial...
Otherwise, it's best to call Apple directly and get them to help you...

Move Acrobat license to new machine and upgrade at same time... not accepting old serial number

I had Acrobat 9 Pro on an old computer. I am moving to a new computer. I wanted to move my old license to the new computer and upgrade. The online sales guy told me I needed to deactivate and uninstall on the old computer (done), then download the upgrade and install it (done, using the serial number provided when I purchased the upgrade). Now, Acrobat XI says there is no old version on the machine (true... I was told I didn't need to install it) and it asked for a serial number. I entered the serial number off of the box that Acrobat 9 Pro came in and the program tells me it is not a valid serial number. What should I do???

There are no issues with serial numbers. Please login to Adobe.com and check the serial numbers you are entering are correct.

Restoring old serial number

My friend helped me to restore my ipod touch 3rd gen and the serial number got changed to a different one. It no longer matches the number on the box it came with. Is there a way to get back the old serial number? He was doing the restore on my computer and messing around with some files (which he said), so I don't have the backup at all.

I have reinstalled my CS2 with Acrobat Pro & after a disc crash where I had to replace the hard drive.
After I reinstalled it on the new hard drive,using the correct serial on the box, it keeps coming up with the above message.
"no valid acrobat serial number found. Acrobat will now quit".
I have tried reinstalling 3 times with no luck.
Can anyone guide me through how to fix this?

It is certainly going to increase your difficulties. Windows 7 was not released at the time when Acrobat 8 was available. You can find the system requirements at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html#main_System_requirements_for_Acrobat_8_Pro. Most certainly you will be unable to generate PDF files using the Adobe PDF printer.

I can't help directly, but when I installed CS5 I received 2 serial numbers... one for everything else of CS5, and one just for Acrobat... and Acrobat was a separate install

Nope,I downloaded the software from adobe website: Download Acrobat products | 9, 8
All it says is "Invalid Serial Number" I already checked with adobe support and they confirmed that the serial number is valid, they won't provide any more help "because acrobat 9 is out of support now".
