Hello,
We are on MDM 5.5 Sp06 patch 3.
we have a requirement where after running Validations in MDM ,we have to Export validation results in Excel.
can we also download Success/Failure results of validation along with desired fields via Data manager Export? or it would be just fields.?

Suggested workaround:
Using export or syndication you can export validation results if you use a calculated field and assign the validation expression to this field.
Caution: this may affect loading time.

Configuration validation resulted in error(s)

Hi,
I am facing a problem in configurator,we are using deferred booking workflow.When we are creating new orders with ATO/PTO items the standard BOOK Node in the workflow is getting completed with result Incomplete.
The error message on sales order, which we can see from View all open messages, is saying as"Configurator validation resulted in error(s)".
When we copy the above sales order which is failing with above error and create a new order, the new order is getting booked successfully.We are not changing anything in the copied order.
Also the deferred workflow is not giving any issues when creating a sales order using the Standard item.The OM debug is also not suggesting anything related to this.
Please let me know if anyone have come across this issue.

I followed the process u mentioned but it didnt work.Actually as I mentioned in my first question, this issue is coming up only when we are creating new sales order.If we copy the sales order which is not getting booked then the new one(copied) sales order's gets booked correctly.Though the copied sales order also have same configuration.
I also tried to validate the Configuration for the sales order having issue using the api CZ_CONFIG_API_PUB.verify_configuration and this resulting as SUCCESS.
Is there any thing in the deferred booking process which may cause this issue?
Also the error message Configuration Validation resulted in errors is coming through a exception, and the exception is being used in CZ_BATCH_VALIDATE.The batch validate is being called from Send_Input_xml procedure.It seems if we copy the order this procedure for batch validate is not being called.
but i m not getting any clue in Send_Input_xml procedure abt why exception is being raised.

Can't hide validation results

After validating my document using the W3C Validator within Dreamweaver, I was unable to hide specific validation results. I would click "hide" and the error would still appear when I revalidate my code.
I then installed a validation extension (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=2188524), which didn't work either. I removed this extension and now the option to "hide" validation results through the W3C validator is gone altogether.
Anyone else having this problem or have possible solutions?

Some things to try:
Hit F7 to hide the results panel.
Disable Extensions from Extension Manager.
Close DW. Restart computer. Launch DW
Delete corrupted Cache and/or Personal Configuration folder.

I tried to do this with svn merge and it didn't work so I merged it by hand. The bug file seems to work correctly now.

Where should I check from? All the items seem valid.

Saving validation results for later processing

Greetings! I'm trying to come up w/ a way to save validation results (found server side in this.Details.ValidationResults) to an attached entity so that they can be worked by a user at a later time.
Has anyone implemented such a pattern? I can't seem to find any examples...

What I'm looking for is a pattern to SAVE the results of validation rules. For example, take a simple application that allows users to bulk import (by way of csv upload to server) hundreds of CarManufacturers and CarColors.
So, you might have a csv that looks like this....
CarManufacturers,CarColors
BMW,Green
Audi,Blue
Ford,Yellow
Audi,Silver
These values get uploaded to a simple table w/ two properties (CarManufacturer & CarColor)...
I also have two other tables for "CarColorValidation" (Manufacturer 1toMany Colors)..
Say that those tables are loaded like this:
BMW -> Green,Blue,Red
Audi -> Green,Black,Blue
Ford -> Yellow,Green
Now, to pull this all together...
Cars and colors are uploaded, again, in bulk.
I have validation rules wired up that will look at the uploaded CarManufacturer and its CarColor and make sure that the CarColor is valid (found in the CarColorValidation tables) for the given CarManufacturer. If it is NOT found (in my example the Audi
that is Silver) then i set a validation WARNING (so i dont block the save process).
What I want to do is SAVE that validation warning (perhaps to an related table) so that a user can come back later and correct the invalid car color.

Item Validation Resulted in Error(s)

Hi,
We getting this message ' Item Validation Resulted in Error(s)' while doing the following.
- Changed the ship to address at the header level for the booked order
- Oracle is asking whether to cascade the changes to the line level
- On selection yes to cascade the changes to the line level we are getting
this error message' Item Validation Resulted in Error(s)'
Do you have any idea about the fix for this problem.
Note - Currently we are using a workaround for this.
Step 1) deselecting and the Item identifier type and Ordered item on the MAIN order line tab --> Saving the changes
Step 2) Changing the Ship to address to the new desired value on the ADDRESSES tab.

Hi - I am getting something similar when attempting to add a line to certain order via the Process Order API. The source for this new line is copied from a previous order but when I try to copy to the new order I get the same error. In order to get around the problem, I do not copt the original ORDERED_ITEM and ITEM_IDENTIFIER_TYPE (which was 'CUST'). When doing this, the order line copies to the new order successfully but shows the item's SEGMENT1 value rather than the ORDERED_ITEM from the source order. Any pointers would be much appreciated

When I book the PTO or ATO model, I am getting the error "Configuration validation resulted in error(s)."

When I try to BOOK the PTO or ATO model, I am getting this error "Configuration validation resulted in error(s).". System is not allowing me to BOOK the order.
Really appreciate if anyone faced this type of issue and please provide some solution on this.

Issue in Navigating Validation Results

Hi All,
I am working on DRM RELEASE 11.1.2.1. I am not able to view the results of the validations (run on hierarchy/version/node).
After running a validation , I get a message ‘Validation completed successfully’ but I am not able to view the result , also cannot find Validation Results tab at the Home page.
I am using a property query inside a validation and the property query is running fine(giving me the expected result).
*It is mentioned in the user guide that- Batch validation results are displayed in a list on the Validation Results tab of the Home page.

Suppose we want to check that Description for a node is not blank.
So in the Filters tab of the Query we have :
Property Operator
Description IsBlank
When we run this query on the hierarchy, it gives us the nodes with the blank description.
Now we are creating a new Batch Validation where we are passing this query as a parameter.
While creating the validation we are using class as: 'Based on predefined standard query'.
Then there are two parameters that are to be mentioned:
1. StdQuery: Here we are selecting the previously creadted query.
2. Boolean: True.
Now, when we are trying to run this validation on the same hierarchy with blank nodes, a pop up says 'Validation completed successfully'. It does not give the desired nodes.

--Cause: In an Oracle Spatial geometry, interior and exterior rings are not used consistently.
--Action: Make sure that the interior rings corresponding to an exterior ring follow the exterior ring in the ordinate array.
I think it means that rings 3 and 4 in element 7 have interior vs exterior issues, but element 7 does not have rings 3 or 4; it does have rings 1 and 2.

Validation Results from ValidationGroup

I am an architect for a very large flex project at the ActiveNetwork. I am considering using the ValidationGroup as part of our process for validation. I like the concept grouping validators including nested groups. I don't see how to get the validation results after validating the group though? I think this is an important feature that the standard validator class provides with validateAll() which returns the validation results. I'd like to see a similar feature on the ValidationGroup that validate all and returns the results which I can then display to the user.
Is there currently a way to do this with ValidationGroup? Can this be added if it is not there?

OK, I understand. Thanks for the info. For your specific use case I've just comitted a new version to trunk that adds a collection of invalid Validators to the ValidationGroupEvent. Let me know if that satisfies your use case. Note, no guarantees that this will end up in the release version of Validation. I'm not sure if that's the best way to implement this feature yet.
As an additional note: the user experience you describe with displaying error messages outside the context of the source of the error (a popup) reminds me more on thin client UIs that sometimes didn't have another straightforward technical way to display validation. I think a standard validation behaviour in Flex is to let the Flex controls display the error directly via errorStrings. The samles in the ValidationTest library show this behaviour. Would that not work for you?

Despite valid feed, download in Podcasts app not working

Hi!
I created a new podcast feed, which is valid according to feedvalidator.org and got approved by apple iTunes store. Downloading the podcast mp3-file is working in all major apps i've encountered so far, but not in the Podcasts app. Maybe somebody is willing to check my feed and can give me any hints how to solve this?
The feed-adress is: http://www.ernstdeslebens.de/feed/
The enclosure link is not pointing directly to an mp3 file, but to a php-file which is serving the mp3 to the client, so I can track how many downloads we got. Still - it works in iTunes (desktop) and also in Instacast for iOS and some Android podcatchers...

and make sure you are good with what you want there.
settings/notifications/Feed on home screen
and be sure that you toggle the twiiter tweets.
having dev mode enable/disabled is not going to make a difference on your device unless you try to do something that requires it to be on.
its like having a turbo on your car. do you need it....not really, but, when you want to use it, its always good to have it!

"Distribution Certificate is not valid" - error downloading the ZIP file from App Builder

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to download the Distribution App (.ZIP) from App Builder.
- The App is made with a Professional account
- The app is a Multi-folio for iPad-iPhone
- The App has the Push notifications option activated
- I made a couple of Push Certificates (production + developing), I checked on Apple Keychain and they are valid (green dot)
- I made a new App ID with Push Notification option enabled
- I made a couple of mobileprovision files (production + developing) based on the App ID and
- I download the .IPA and it work
The App Builder report this error: "This is not a valid Apple Distribution Certificate"
Any ideas?
Is this related to the Pro account and the fact that I made another App for Android?
Has someone the ability to try using the same settings to understand if it is a bug or a real issue?

as you can imagine reading my list, I already do everything you suggested to me.
So It's not my mistake, I need to know if it is a bug or a known behavior.
When I'm talking about Pro Account and Android App, I mean that a Pro Account is for only one "project" (no more infinite Apps as in the past) and due to a content issue, I had to create two Application Account with two different Adobe ID and emails.
Is this the cause?
I appreciate every help that could solve my problem but just to let you know, I work on DPS since it start and this is about the fifteenth apps that I did in the last 5 years, so I know exactly how it works.

Validation result of a compound linestring with Oracle 10.2.0.4

I have a question.
I was told that:
"in 10.2.0.4, Oracle no longer allows compound linestrings or compound polygons with one sub-element. For compound elements, there must be at least 2 sub-elements (at least one arcstring and one straight line linestring)."
But in the following test, there is only one arcstring, therefore, the following should be invalidate in Oracle 10.2.0.4

This change was not in 10.2.0.4 patch set, but it is part of a one-off patch for bug 7261968 on top of 10.2.0.4.
So this will be in 10.2.0.5 and 11gR2 as well.
