Validation using dictionaries and NSDictionaryControllers

Up to now I used NSArrayController for the binding of views to an NSMutableArray.Now I want to use Dictionaries instead of array -with NSDictionaryController. But the usual 'validate…' methods are not called.
What parameters must be set and in which way to get validation of new entries into a mutable dictionary?

no answer!

  • Validator using logical AND or logical OR

    How can I validate multiple TextInputs using logical AND or
    logical OR. For example:
    If TextInput1 == Null || TextInput2 == Null causes a
    validation error if both are null but passes validation as long as
    one field is populated or both fields are populated.
    John

    You could have a Boolean variable that is initially false,
    and only becomes true when one of the TextInput becomes populated.
    The variable could be set in the TextInput "change" event.
    Your validation code would check the value of that Boolean
    variable.

  • PLC application validation using OPC and teststand

    Hello
    I want to test a PLC application using teststand as script generator. My idea is to use TestStand to generate testcases and verify answer (read status variables, tags)
    from the PLC to confirm its code meet requirements.
    So question is, can TestStand read ad write PLC tag variables, using an OPC server ?
    Did anybody else use this strategy before ?
    Pierre Danis

    Pierre,
    For your information, there is a new TestStand Add-on "OPC DA Connect" which adds a StepType Palette dedicated to OPC Data Access.
    You can configure each step by browsing the OPC servers on your network and browsing variables within these servers.
    This toolkit has free deployment licence.
    Hoping this helps.

    Hi,
    I would guess this is  an AIM valid Screen Name such as an Apple issued @mac.com account.
    I would also guess you travel to other countries.
    There have been several posts about @mac.com names and people who travel and use their Screen Name elsewhere having the name Suspended.
    Can you Log in here  https://settings.aim.com/ ?
    Is this where you saw the Suspended message ?
    For AIM issued name the answer is to change your Password as this tends to prove you own the account.
    This does not work for Apple IDs used as  AIM Valid Screen Names as AIM can't tell when the password is changed (They can only see it when you log in)
    AIM's Suspended Account page has an email ([email protected]) on it to contact if your account remains Suspended.
    However you need to be very clear that you have an Apple Issued Name and that you know that resetting the password that works for AIM Names and that you would like them to reset the account.
    More recently this has been a sticking point.  It seems the Contact you get does not always know about the agreement that AIM recognises Apple Issued IDs as Valid Screen Names and that the AIM  servers can only view the passwords at specific times (or at least confirm them) so you changing it will make no difference and that they have to step in manually.

    Hi,
    Your error message are not displaying because u does not made Message-Resoucrce property file (Resource Bundle) when you make it .
    give it entry in
    struts-config.xml
    <message-resources parameter="ApplicationResources" />
    and
    define key and corresponding error message to key in this ApplicationResources i.e
    #Error Resources
    label.search.ssNum=Plz Enter correct ssNum

    Navid,
    JHeadstart checks whether the attribute definition is queryable before adding it to the list of advanced search attributes. A transient VO attribute can still be set to queryable, for a transient EO attribute this is not possible. We will remove this check on queryability in the upcoming patch release, since you have a valid use case. For now, you can subclass JhsSearchBean and override method createArgumentListForAdvancedSearch and comment out the check for "def.isQueryable()".

  • Using slim and xfce4, something crashes on exit

    I recently did a fresh install of Arch onto an older PC that I have. It's running a P4 3.06GHz, an nVidia GeForce FX 5900, and 1GB RAM. Because of the lower resources, I decided to use xfce4 and slim. I have a monitor and TV hooked up through s-video with the "seperate X screen" option. Whenever I logout of xfce (this includes, logout, reboot, shutdown), it goes to a blank black screen with a cursor at the top left and just hangs. I have slim configured to run from inittab, so it picks up after a couple seconds. However, if I run startx from console, and then logout of xfce the system just hangs and wont accept any keyboard input (including ctrl+alt+function to switch run levels). Also, if I choose to shutdown or reboot, the system will do so but the only thing I see is the blank screen until the POST. If I do a startx from console, the logout, I'm able to ssh in from my laptop, login and issue a reboot (again the screen doesn't change until the POST). Also, if I turn the "seperate x screen" option off, and just run the desktop on the monitor, it doesn't freeze. I've worked my way through a number of issues so far, but this one has me completely stumped. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with my configuration or if it's just a problem with the graphics driver. Any advice and/or help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi All,
    We are trying to access the Create Deployment method stated below
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/ee460813
    We have uploaded the Package in the blob and browsing the configuration file. We have checked trying to upload manually the package and config file in Azure portal and its working
    fine.
    Below is the code we have written for creating deployment where "AzureEcoystemCloudService" is our cloud service name where we want to deploy our package. I have also highlighted the XML creation

  • Can you use VGA and DisplayPort at the same time.

    I have a T500 with the ATI graphics. I currently have it set up with only a VGA monitor. I am wanting to also get the DisplayPort to VGA adapter. Will I still be able to use both external monitors and my laptop monitor? If anyone has done this let me know. I have read that you can use VGA and DVI but neither of my monitors have DVI.

    Exceptions are used when there are some mistakes , or exceeds the supposed values, we can highligt that in different colours for enabling the validator to notice easily. In this we are giving conditions for considering the value as exceptions. suppose, if the values is out of the range -1 to +1 then exception.
    But conditions can be considered as the restrictions given in measure level also. So please elaborate what you meant by conditions

  • Saving image in windows 8.1 using stream and bitmap encoder id

    Hi
    var renderTargetBitmap = new RenderTargetBitmap();
    await renderTargetBitmap.Render(myElementTree);
    var pixels = await renderTargetBitmap.GetPixelsAsync();
    var picker = new FileSavePicker();
    // Picker setup
    var file = await picker.PickSaveFileAsync();
    // File validation
    using (var stream = await file.OpenAsync(FileAccessMode.ReadWrite))
    var encoder = await
    BitmapEncoder.CreateAsync(BitmapEncoder.BmpEncoderId, stream);
    encoder.SetPixelData(BitmapPixelFormat.Rgba8, 100, 0, 96, 96,
    await renderTargetBitmap.GetPixelsAsync());
    await encoder.FlushAsync();
    I have already used the code snippet. Could you please tell me how to save UIElement tree by having the stream and bitmap encoder id as input?
    Thanks
    Satheesh

    Here you go. Set up the file picker and call our CaptureElementToFile function. In this case it's passing the page to capture the whole screen:
    FileSavePicker picker = new FileSavePicker();
    picker.SuggestedStartLocation = PickerLocationId.PicturesLibrary;
    picker.SuggestedFileName = "capture.bmp";
    picker.FileTypeChoices.Add("Bitmap File",new List<string>() { ".bmp" });
    StorageFile file = await picker.PickSaveFileAsync();
    CaptureElementToFile(this, file);
    And here's CaptureElementToFile. The BitmapEncoder needs to know information about the size and shape of the pixel buffer and it needs to have the pixels as an Array. If you want to encode to a different size you can include a BitmapTransform.
    async void CaptureElementToFile(UIElement element, StorageFile file)
    RenderTargetBitmap renderTargetBitmap = new RenderTargetBitmap();
    await renderTargetBitmap.RenderAsync(element);
    IBuffer pixelBuffer = await renderTargetBitmap.GetPixelsAsync();
    DisplayInformation dispInfo = DisplayInformation.GetForCurrentView();
    using (var stream = await file.OpenAsync(FileAccessMode.ReadWrite))
    var encoder = await BitmapEncoder.CreateAsync(BitmapEncoder.BmpEncoderId, stream);
    encoder.SetPixelData(BitmapPixelFormat.Rgba8, BitmapAlphaMode.Straight,
    (uint)renderTargetBitmap.PixelWidth,
    (uint)renderTargetBitmap.PixelHeight,
    dispInfo.LogicalDpi,dispInfo.LogicalDpi,
    pixelBuffer.ToArray());
    await encoder.FlushAsync();

  • How do I clear a form text field during validation using JavaScript?

    I am just learning JavaScript and the Acrobat API.  I have a form created in adobe acrobat 9 standard (starting from an existing form in MS Excel).  There is a text field for a Social Security Number.  I have a custom format script and keystroke script and a custom validation script. I would like to add to the existing validation script, that if what is entered doesn't match the validation test, then clear out the field as in erase all the characters that were typed into the field.  I want this to happen no matter what.  So even if someone filled in a valid SSN number and then moved to the next field, but then went back to the SSN field and decided to change their entry and this new entry was "invalid" then clear out the field (do not revert to what was typed in the field originally, even though it was considered valid by the script).  (There is currently no default value for this field.)  Thank you inadvance for you help on this.
    Here is the current validation script:
    // only run when field not blank
    if (event.value != "")
    // RegExp for validation #########
    var re = /^(\d{3})(\d{2})(\d{4})$/
    if(re.test(event.value) == false)
    app.alert("Enter a 9-digit Social Security number with no spaces or special characters (e.g., 555555555). It will be converted to the format 555-55-5555.")
         //Here is where I've tried adding all of these lines, but none of them will clear out what is in the field
              //this.resetForm([event.target.name]);
              //event.target.value == "";
              //getField("SSN 1").value = getField("SSN 1").defaultValue;
              //getField("SSN 1").value == "";
              //event.rc = false;
    And incase these are somehow affecting it, here are the other scripts being processed on this field:
    Keystroke script:
    var input=event.value;
    var chars=input.length;
    if( event.willCommit || chars==8 )this.getField("Name 1").setFocus();
    Format script:
    var re = /^(\d{3})(\d{2})(\d{4})$/
    if(re.test(event.value) == true)
    // add "-"
    event.value = RegExp.$1 + "-" + RegExp.$2 + "-" + RegExp.$3;

    Thank you very much.  I did try that before, but I was using event.value == "";  I guess in this case I'm assigning the value of "", not making the value equal "".

  • Struts2 - Dynamic values in expression while doing validations using annota

    Hi,
    I am using Struts2. I am doing validations using annotations in action class.
    I have many forms having same type of fields say zip code.
    I am adding validations like below in each action class having zip code field
    @Action(value = "/saveData")
    @Validations(
         regexFields = {
              @RegexFieldValidator(fieldName = "databean.zipCode", expression = "^([1-9]{1}[0-9]{4}(-[0-9]{4})?)$", key = "errors.zipcode.format", message = "errors.zipcode.format")
    public String saveData() throws Exception {
    Now, in case if I need to change the expression for zip code validations, then I need to modify the same in each action class.
    I would like to know if there is any way to use java variable or property for expression so that i only need to change at one place (value of variable) and all actions get modified.
    I want something like below
    private static final String ZIP_CODE_FORMAT_EXPRESSION = "^([1-9]{1}[0-9]{4}(-[0-9]{4})?)$"
    @Action(value = "/saveData")
    @Validations(
         regexFields = {
              @RegexFieldValidator(fieldName = "databean.zipCode", expression = "${ZIP_CODE_FORMAT_EXPRESSION}", key = "errors.zipcode.format", message = "errors.zipcode.format")
    public String saveData() throws Exception {
    Thanks
    Krishan Babbar

    Thanks
    That is working..
    I defined my expression as constant in my another file and it is working fine....
    One more question i need to check space in expression but its not working... I tried following:
    expression = "^([a-zA-Z0-9@_.-\\s]+)$" and expression = "^([a-zA-Z0-9@_.-\\\\s]+)$"
