Validator extension for CS5 now available

Hi,
Due to popular demand, we have packaged up the deprecated Validator feature into an extension for Dreamweaver CS5.
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=2188 524
Once installed, you will get 'File > Validate... > Markup' back in your menu and in the Results panel.
Thanks for speaking up for this feature.

The list of extensions for InDesign now have a yellow triangle warning symbol in front of a good many of the extensions and when moused over i get one of two messages:
"Extensions may not function properly because it does not meet the dependency condition."
    OR
Extension Status is not consistent with extension set configuration."
The reason I opened the Extension Manager in the first place was to check to see if I had installed a third party extension.  And I was presented with these warning symbols.  I haven't added anything, I haven't done anything that would cause this.
Does anyone know how to fix this???
I am running OSX 10.9.5; Indesign CS6 version 8.0.2 And Adobe Extension Manager version  6.0.8.28.
    Thanks in advance!
    Nina

Many InDesign pre-installed extensions (Those extensions you have immediately after InDesign installation) define dependency rules in their mxi files. Dependency means that one extension works well only if one or more other extensions are installed and enabled. If this condition is not met, the yellow triangle warning will be shown.
You can select an extension with warning, click "Advanced" tag page in the lower right panel. You will see "This extension has dependency on: <extension name> ...". Check whether every extensions listed here are available and enabled. If not, enable them. Repeat these steps for all the extensions which have warning.

  • Can I still get extensions for CS5.5?

How do I download extensions for CS5.5? I see a new Extension Manager but only for 6 and all of the links on the 5.5 pages go to error pages???
    Help!!
    Jenn

    Hi Jenn,
You should have Extension Manager with your install of CS5.5. If not you can download it here (the link to CS5.5 is about half way down the page):
    http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/
Adobe Exchange only supports CS6 and beyond so you can use Adobe Exchange Classic in the mean time:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm
    I hope that helps.

I know some people have got FMS running on FreeBSD, so

After entering this: "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CS5"in the terminal this is the message I get with still no luck on being able to update the extension...
Mar 17 23:12:02 Pascale-Gadboiss-iMac-63.local Adobe Extension Manager CS5[1427] <Error>: The function `CGContextSetFontRenderingMode' is obsolete and will be removed in an upcoming update. The message has nothing to do with permission. Privilege escalation feature is introduced in CS5.5. To install extensions which require admin permission, you have to use sudo command. Input the following in Terminal:

Making one last plea on here as two attempts at contacting Adobe support have failed miserably. Both "techs" linked me to 2.6, which as we know, doesn't work with CS5.

  • Yahoo merchant extension for CS5

I found the yahoo store extension and installed it (installed successfully) in CS5.
I see the yahoo tab in the tool bar and I am able to fill everything out to start a new site, but when I click ok it says I need to restart dreamweaver, and closes it automatically, but doesn't open it again which I thought was strange. When I restart dw, I don't see my site in the Yahoo "manage sites".
I am using DW CS5 on windows Vista.
    Please Help Thanks,

It appears to me that Yahoo! has decided that editing the site remotely is a "bad idea", as all access to FTP for the Merchant Services seem to fail.  I'm abandoning my hope to simplify the store updates in Yahoo, and proceeding to look for real e-com hosting solutions.  Working with RTML is like coding in the 90's, and I'm much more a fan of modern approaches!
