Validity start and end fields in Scheduling agreement

Hi,
We are experiencing an issue where in for Transactions of ME31L, ME32L, ME33L for some users we the fields of Validity Start date (Header )and Validity End date (Header) is not appearing. These fields have been made Mandatory still for the users for which they don't appear they are able to save the Sch Agreement without inputting this information. Is this something to do with authorisation issue ?

No I have already made the fields mandatory but the problem is only validity fields do not appear in ME31L, ME32L, ME33L for certain users and they do for others.

Yes, It is available standard report using T-code ME2N - Purchasing Document (PO) Per Document Number, enter the T-code and provide the following input data's are as follows.
Scope of List                 : ALV ( for Ms-Excel format report)
Plant                               :   __________ to __________ (if required)
Document Date              : ____________ to ___________ (if Required)
Execute the report shown by default in excel format and if required PO validity start and end data, you have to select Change Layout button and open new window options screen right side field option as Validity Per.Start, Validity Period End, Commutative number field data's are selected and click <--- arrow button and then click bottom tick marked button. Now, the report shown your requirement.

How to input my own Validity Start and End Dates in ME21N

Hi All,
I have to change the Validity Start and Validity End date in Addiitional Data Tab of ME21 transaction( PO Create ) using default Customer Values.How Can i accomplish it?
I have used the BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and implemented it, I have coded in the method PROCESS_HEADER.First I retrieved the data using get_data( ) method, changed the values with Customer Values and called the method set_data( ).
However my validity start and End Dates and not changing.
Even in ME21N if I create the PO with my own Validity Start and End dates, and go to ME23N to display the created PO, still in the additional data tab, the start and End dates are current date and Next date respectively.why its happening?

Can you please let us know in which business scenario this is required.
SAP has provided separate functionality of Outline Agreement for considering validity period.
If you let us know the business scenarion some solution/workaround can be suggested.

I am trying to change Validity start and end dates on a lane for a product specific assignment.
What I see is as follows
1) Lane created by system /others I can delete and give the required start /end date ?
I want to know if I can change the end date without deleting the lane as its tough to delete a lane in production.

Hi,
we can change the start period and end period in the Transportation lane using the table /SAPAPO/TRPROD.
And then using the update command you can change the start time and end time of the product.

[CF10] CFINPUT custom validation start and end dates

Hello, everyone,
Another developer that I am working with is working with a form that has start and end dates. He'd like to be able to use custom JavaScript validation to make sure that not only are the dates in proper format (that part of the JS is working fine), but that it will also check to make sure that the start date will always be prior to (or equal to) the end date, and will throw an alert if the end date is before the start date.
I've Googled for this, and am finding informative suggestions on just making sure the date is in the right format, or falls within a certain range, but nothing on how to make sure that one date is before (or less than) another.
I'm guessing that data binding might be a part of it. Can anyone suggest how to set these fields so that each has a validateat="onblur" that will check both values?
Also, as a related issue, he has the CF datepicker working as far as entering the dates, but since the field doesn't get/lose focus on this, how do we trigger the function?

Stacked area chart with start and end dates

Hi,
I'm trying to create a stacked area chart from values that have a start date and an end date. I'd like the area to be drawn as a sum of the values at each x-axis date interval. So if I have data like:
Start
End
Value
2013-01-01      2015-01-01
100
2013-09-01      2014-01-01
200
2013-01-01      2016-01-01
300
What I need is to have the chart show the area y-axis at 400 from the start up to 2013-09-01 where it would rise to 600. At 2014-01-01 it would drop back down to 400 and at 2015-01-01 it would drop to 300 until the end.
Is this possible without calculating the sums for each date beforehand?

According to your description, it seems that you need add Start and End fields with the same level (without group relationship) to the x-axis in stacked area chart. As per my understanding, we couldn’t add multiple fields in one group at the same level.
So in order to work around this issue, we can modify the dataset to combine the Start and End field into one filed, then add the new filed to x-axis. For more details, please refer to the steps below:
Modify the dataset with the following query statement:
select Start as date , Value as value
from table_name
union
select [End] as date, (0-Value) as value
from table_name
Drag a Stacked Area Chart to design surface.
Insert value field to Values pane, then modify it with the expression below:
=runningvalue(Fields!vlaue.Value,sum,"DataSet_name")
Insert date field to Category Group pane.

How PO validity start and validity end works

In the PO Header (tab Additional data), there are fields: validity start and validity end. The help text states the following:
Start of validity period
Date as of which services can be performed or materials delivered.
In the case of purchase orders:
Start of the period in which the service is to be performed or thematerial delivered.
End of validity period
Date up to which services can be performed or materials delivered.
In the case of POs:
End of the period in which the service is to be performed or thematerial delivered.
I maintained a validity date range 01/01/2007 to 01/10/2007. When i tried to receive the item with posting date 01/15/2007, the system saved the GR without even a warning message that the GR was outside the PO validity date.
How does this field work? Is this standard configuration or does this only work with a user-exit?
I would appreciate any input.

use transaction OMCQ,
set the status of message for M7 163 to error. if this message is not present in the list , then go to new entries and select this message and enter it into the list
after this set the status to "E".

It is applicable for PO done for Frame work oder with Doc type - FO(Frame work order)as its an agreement of supply of stock only between specified period.For this kind of Doc type system makes it mandatory to enter the valisity start and end date.

SCSM 2012 Change form issue - Scheduled start and end times default to 12:00:00

I have a report that the Change Form in SCSM 2012 is not allowing users to set the scheduled start and end times. The date stays correct, but the time reverts back to 12:00:00, and the user has to save to the initial form, then re-open and
change the times.
I checked in the authoring tool, the time/date field is set to full date and time. (I think these are custom fields)
I am not sure where else to look to adjust any settings as needed.

Is this situation on all consoles or few ones? Check the time format on the user's PC. 24h or 12h could affect the DateTime control's behavior.

need your help, I am trying to add Validity Start and Validity End Field on Additional Tab in Purchase Order header.
How do i add this field ?
i already check on MM define screen layout a document level, but there is not setting for this two field.

The validity start date & end date are used only for service orders. In configuration goto IMG>MM>Purchasing>PO>Define screen layout at document level and check into Administrative data, header of ME21N , the field selection key attached to your document type (Say NBF) and for field selection key AKTH.
The fields Start of validity period & Validity period end of field selection key ME21N, NBF & AKTH should be set as optional then only required fields will be visible on screen.

you should try with FM: CRM_DATES_READ_SINGLE_OB or CRM_DATES_READ_DB.
There is something in table SCAPPT and SCGENAPPT.

I can tell you where the pricing records are saved, replicated from ECC.
The data from ECC table Axxx (e.g. A304) is replicated to CRM table
CNCCRMPRSAPxxx (e.g. CNCCRMPRSAP304).
Here you can find fields TIMESTAMP_TO and TIMESTAMP_FROM.
About the dates: what Sreekantha Gorla stated, about table 'SCAPPTSEG' is correct.
What might help is to execute program "CRM_ORDER_READ". Here you can find
the relevant entries also.

Schedule type LineChart with clients and unavailable start and end dates

I have been working on trying to get something in flex which will display a list of clients and their unavailability start and end dates.   I have attempted the line chart and the HLOC chart but have not seen success. I do have the H or V grids working fine. But getting the data to display in a line graph based upon start date and end date has been my challenge. any suggestions

I guess I still have lots to learn about Flex and Renderers. I downloaded a Gantt chart with Code and they used the AdvancedDataGrid with renderers and such. I modified the code to work for me. but if I had to create it myself right now, I would be in trouble. Lots more to learn.

What parameters determine Planned order production start and end dates?

We are using the graphical planning table @ MF50 to firm Planned Orders (Basically checking off "Firm Order" field within the Planned Order). We are on ECC 6.0
Whenever I backflush, the production start and end dates get overwritten (The Basic dates do not change).
I would like to prevent this. Can someone advise me on what parameter controls how the production start and end dates getting changed?

Hi,
Calculating production dates ( Lead time scheduling) are explained in detail in the SAP help URL as below:
If "Automatci Scheduling indicator" is set in the customizing for scheduling parameters then after every change relevant to scheduling, the production order is also automatically rescheduled before saving.
You need to check these settings.

I have to maintain start and end dates for around 200 users in 4 different Java systems. When I export the file of users it does not capture the validity fields. Is there a way/script to automate this? Otherwise I will have to do it manually.

Contract start and end date in BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA

HI,
I am using BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA to create a contract from within a custom ABAP program. However I cannot figure out how to get the contract start and end dates into the contract header. I know that you can enter them into the ONTRACT_DATA_IN table parameter but these dates only appear on the line items and not the header.
Does anyone know which parameters on the function map to the contract header start and end dates.

there are also fields QT_VALID_F and QT_VALID_T for quotation or inquiry. So it looks like for different contract types you need to use different fields. This BAPI calls FM SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE which has subroutine ms_move_header_in which maps from BAPI fields to internal fields. Here is a small part of this routine.
MOVE order_header_in-qt_valid_f       TO e_vbakkom-angdt.
MOVE order_header_in-qt_valid_t       TO e_vbakkom-bnddt.
MOVE order_header_in-ct_valid_f       TO e_vbakkom-guebg.
MOVE order_header_in-ct_valid_t       TO e_vbakkom-gueen.
When I check technical fields for the screen fields "Valid from" and "Valid to" in VA43 I get names GUEBG and GUEEN. So it still looks like you should use CT_VALID_F and CT_VALID_T.
I forgot to mention you can still debug BAPI to figure out where the problem is.
