  • Default valuation type when issuing material or Creating Delivery

    Hi,
We have some material manage with valuation type  X,   Y,  Z   while creating PO  we are entering Valuation type in PO as per requiremtn   but i want that  whenever we issue the material  with 201   or creating delivery of that material with VL01N or VL02N  default valuation type should be    'Y'  so how to set this as default.
    regards,
    zafar

You will need to create a stock determination strategy and stock determination rule  and assign it to the material master.
    use TCODE : OSPX.

  • Missing automatic valuation type in delivery ME2O

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I'm trying to set a stock determination rule in a Subcontracting PO for materials having split valuation ("E" and "I"). I set everything about the final PO to choose the split valuation for components (it works good), I have a problem with the ME2O Delivery.
To do that I set into OSPX the stock determination item table, I linked the material and the movement (541) with the right stock determination group, the delivery item category with the stock determination rule.
When I create a delivery from ME2O it doesn't contain any Valuation Type and at the goods issue I must insert it manually.
Why isn't valuation type set automatically?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

    Dear Prasad,
I've already done it for many movement type (e.g. 261, 301, 309, 311) and it works for all of them. The problem is actually just for the mvt 541. In particular, if I set the stock determination for this movement it does not determinate the valuation type and also, if I fill the field with valuation type "E" the system gives the follows error message.
    E M7 071
Please enter a vendor for special stock O
Thanks in advande for your help.

  • Valuation Type - Query on GR and GI

Hi, I am SAP FICO Consultant.
I know meaning of split valuation and purpose of split valuation. Ex: Same FG needs to be valued differently (ex: locally purchased or imports, produced or procures, etc).
But i want to know what we should do at the time Goods Receipt and Goods Issue.
Do we specify Valuation type also at the time of Goods reciept (when we procure from external party or produce in house)
Do we specify valuation type at the time of goods issue (i.e. at the time of issue to production or Post goods issue for sale).
Please let me know how we can tell system from which valuation type we issue and receive goods.
Hope you got the question. Please help.

    Yes,you are correct
If your material is split valuated and you have activate it for your plant
Then you have to specify valuation type in Po or IN GRN and same thing with goods issue
read following link you will get clear idea

  • Valuation Type Issue with STOs

    Hello Folks !!
In the client environment Materials are going to be Batch Managed as well as Split Valuated (by Country of Origin "H" Category).
When we create STOs, Valuation Type of the receiving plant is mandatory and it has to be specified up in the STO Order itself. [ According to SAP OSS Note: 66593]
The problem here is the Planner who is creating the STO is not going to know the Valuation Type of the Receiving Plant at the time of creating the STO.
The valuation type of the product will be known only at the time of Shipping. That is, upon delivery creation the Batches will be determined and the Shipping Valuation Type will be known.
Also Note that : If we pick any default valuation type at the time of the STO creation, that is going to create problems at the time of receiving at the receiving plant, because if a different valuation type is shipped than the one mentioned in the STO Order, the system is going to say, that the Batch Valuation Type and the Valuation Type Specified in teh STO are different.
What do you Experts Suggest !! How could this be resolved ??
    Cheers

    dear experts
we had faced similar issue and done enhancement to substitute Val Type of PDI to PO before GR.
But this has resulted in inconsistency in ML & MCHA.
The Financial & ML entry is posted at the time of PGI (641 mov type) and subsequent change on GR is not correct.
Now we have reverted the enhancement and finding alternative solution.
Some body suggested Automatic PO based on PGI.
    regards

  • Set valuation type when create or change po

In our po line item on the screen, there have a check box to mark those item as free and set the unit price as zero. Now i get a reqirement that want to set the valuation type to FOC once the checkbox is check. I would like to know can i achieve the requirement by userexit? if yes. which userexit should i use. Thanks!

    check oss Note 844949
    Solution as per Note :
Call transaction BUSP and generate the subscreen containers for the application objects BUPA, FICA and BUPR. To do this, set the "All screens" indicator under "Generate All Screens or Just Selected Screens".
If this does not correct the incorrect display, use transaction BUPT for the business partner or transaction CAWM for the contract account to make sure that the fields are not missing due to the field modifications. (If you cannot call these transactions, exit the SAP Easy Access menu by using /n and then call BUPT or CAWM).

  • Automatic Valuation Type assignment while issuing material.

    Dear All,
I am Issuing material from a Storage Location for Production. Split valuation is on at some of the production materials. I had configured the Stock Determination, in which following are the steps for this:
    1) Create Stock Determination Group. (These groups are dependent on the material types on which split valuation is on)
    2) Create Stock Determination Rule. (Only one rule is created PP01 for Production issuance)
    3) Define Stock Determination Strategy headers.
    4) Define Stock Determination Strategy Item. (Both the valuation class is define with one storage location with special stock indicator F = Unrestricted company own stock and priority indicator is 1 for the both).
    5) I assign Stock Determination Rule to Inventory Management & Production Order.
    6) I determine Stock Determination Group in Material Master also.
Still the automatic determination of Valuation type is not determining while issuance of the material through 261 movement type.
Please anyone can help me for the above issue or if there is any other way around please let me know.
    Regards.
    SAK.

There is a Button (Icon) which you need to click for the stock to be determined, have you tried that?

When setting up my apple id for the apple store I get to the credit card screen and it tells me I have to contact support to finish.  I can't seem to contact support as there is no number for them on this type of issue.  How the **** to I talk to a person who can fix this?

It's a real problem when you're deployed outside the US and your billing address, though totally correct, is not. This seems to be a common complaint. I think the billing address vs. your present location causes some security concern or similar nonsense that prevents progress.
The only way I know of to resolve this is to contact iTunes Support by email. I have never had to wait more than a day for a response:
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
The response should not be "automated'. Explain your circumstances. You deserve a personalized response.

    chandrashekhar Ingole,
I do not have any sample ABAP code...
If you have no experience in ABAP programming, then I would recommend you pass the requirement on to your ABAP team.

  • Set valuation type by storage location

Is there a way to limit specific valuation types to a storage location?  We have reclaimed materials that we would like to assign to a specific storage location.  For example, we have storage locations 1 through 4 for new materials and storage location 5 for reclaimed.  Is there a way to restrict the receipt of reclaimed materials into storage location 5 only?  We do not want to see any reclaimed materials in storage locations 1 through 4.

valuation only takes place at plant level, so you cannot restrict it at storage location level with standard customizing, you can only check this in a user exit.

  • Deleated Valuation Type --Need Error Message while creating Purchase Order

    Hi,
In our scenario , i need a message should flash , if enduser by mistake select the deleated valuation type while creating Purchase Order.
In current configuration , it's not there.
    Await your expert opinion.
    Regards
    Shyam Kogta

I investigated this recently in our company and gave this answer:
A deletion flag does not restrict anything. It is just an indicator to tell SAP that you want this record to be deleted with the next archiving run.
The archiving run then checks if a deletion is possible or not.
So you can set such deletion flags long time in advance, even at a moment where you still have inventory.
To block materials from beeing used in business transactions, usually the material and sales status are used. But these statuses can only be set at overall, plant and sales organisation level.
In some transactions SAP issues warning messages if a material has a deletion flag. This messages could be customized to be an error and prevent any business. However, this type of restriction is not designed for our machine, as we use the material and sales status.
Anyhow, there is no message for valuation types that have a deletion flag in procurement area.
There is one for goods receipts (but only for a certain industry solution that is not used by us)
There is one for deliveries ( VL 211 ).
The valuation types are defaulted from customizing to the transaction e.g. purchase order. Or from info record to the PO. So a standard purchase order gets valuation type  ABC , while an internal order (production) gets the DEF.  Usually there should not be a need to change this valuation type manually.
So the only solution is to archive the material master at valuation type level.
But I guess, you already have POs with that wrong valuation type, which means you have to archive the POs first. It you have already batches with wrong valuation type, then thy have to be archived as well before a material can be archived.
And finally if you had stock in current year, then you can archive your material in year after next year, as SAP archives only materials that have no stock in current and previous year.

  • Valuation Type Check in STOs

In STO creation in ME27 Transaction, the field Valuation Type is mandatory. In availability check, we could able to find the available stock at issuing plant at quantity level. But our requirement is how to find the issuing plant stock at each Valuation type level? Is there any setting in aAvailability Check? or any Standard System message available?
    Thanks & Regards.

    Hi...
dear frnd the valuation type field is mandatory because the material for which you are creating a STO is split valuated, means in accounting view of the material you have maintained something in  the field "Valuation category".
If this is the case, when  you received the goods in supplying plant you should have entered valuation type as your batch.
And if the material is batch managed you have to check the valuation type for the batch in which the material stock exist.
Batch can be displayed in T-Code - MSC3N (Tables -  MCHA and MCHB) Kindly check the data in both tables.
Hpe this will solve the problem.
