Valuation Type Stock Transport Order

Dear All,
Can a Stock transport order be created without specifying valuation type in it? If YES, then how to configure the same in SAP??
If NO, then how to ensure that valuation type and batch of a material in receiving plant remains same as in the supplying plant. In our case there are always multiple valuation types/batches for a given material in one plant.
regards,
Baljit

Hello,
Would you mind to rephrase your question so we can see the relationship between <b>Oracle</b> and the stock transport?
If you can't, perhaps you could post it in a more suitable forum. Like, perhaps, SAP ERP Financials

  • Valuation type in case of stock transport order

    Hi,
    We are spilt valuation.
now we are doing stock transport order and it is asking for valuation type. while we dont want to enter valuation type in STO.
as which material is to sent to plant, we know at that time of delivery.
but during making STO system is asking for 'enter valuation  type'.
How we can do the same.
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi,
Since you have activated the split valuation for the material system is asking to enter the valuation type.
Check the material master Accounting 1 view whether you have maintained valuation category?
If you want Split valuation, maintain the valuation type in config settings in IMG & extend the material to the respective valuation type.
    Hope it helps.

  • Change the valuation class of material [Stock transport order scenario]

    Dears,
Client would like to change the valuation class of material.
There is no open Purchase order/Process order/Purchase requistion and stock in plant.
Scenario- One Stock transport order is created.
For same goods issue (351-issuing plant) and goods receipt (101-receiving plant) is done.
When we are going to change the valuation class of said material, message is "purchase order is open
and it shows the no of STO [for which receipt and issue is done]"
To resolve this issue we had first delete the STO line item no(ME22N). Then change the valuation class.
(this allows). and then undelete the STO line item. Through this we can change the valuation class of material.
Please advise in such business process that this is right way or there may be other option.
    Thanks & Regards
    Rajan

    rajanshah219,
Here's my take on how to fix:
*Manually change Config TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 to type "W"   (if open order exists...now you can enter through warning messages)
*If inventory exists, then issue out of stock to a cost center
    *Change valuation class
*Put stock back into inventory (reverse to that same cost center)  Note issue out and reverse back into inventory must happen in the same posting period.
**Valuation class should be changed as expected
**Manually change config  TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 back to type "E"
    Thanks,

  • Stock Transport Order for non valuated material

    Hello,
I am creating a Stock Transport Order for non-valuated material. I posted GI for STO mvt 351 and it decreases stock from issuing Storage Location, however when I am posting GR for STO mvt 101 the Storage Location field is not there in MIGO and after posting the quantity does not increase in receiving Storage Location which is not expected. Note that both issuing and receiving Plants are the same and the material type has quantity update in the Plant.
Also in the STO the system is asking for Account Assignment Category which I do not need because there are no transportation costs. Can i overcome that ?
    Thanks,
    Wael

    Hi,
The quantity update is set for the material type in the plant as I mentioned. Also since both issuing and receiving plants are identical and there is stock in the issuing SLoc this means quantity update is active.
    Thanks

  • HELP for all 5 TYPES of  STO  Stock Transport Orders with detailed scenario

PLEASE help me understanding the detailed scenarios for all 5 TYPES of STO s
as in my day to day job activities , i frequently handles issues related to STO s
PLEASE HELP WITH DETAILED STEP BY STEP SCENARIOS

    Hi Jagatram,
Standard SAP has the following methods For Stock transport order:
    1) One Step Transfer stock without using purchasing documents; Use movement type 301.
    2) Two Step Transfer stock without using purchasing documents; Use movement type 303 in Supplying plant and movement type 305 in receiving plant.
    3) Using Standard Transport Order (STO) without delivery in two steps. STO created in T-Code ME27, receiving plant posts goods issue (for returns), movement type 351 and supplying plant post goods receipt from using movement type 101.
    4) Using Standard Transport Order (STO) with delivery in one step. STO created in T-Code ME27, Receiving plant creates shipment and Goods issue document (for materials to be returned) with movement type 647 and goods receipt document with movement type 101 both created in one step.
    5) Using Standard Transport Order (STO) with delivery in two steps. STO created in T-Code ME27, Receiving plant creates shipment and Goods issue posted (for materials to be returned) with movement type 641.Goods receipt is posted in the supplying plant, movement type 101.
    6) Using Transportation scheduling agreement (TSA) with delivery in two steps. TSA created in T-Code ME37. Receiving plant creates shipment and Goods issue document (for materials to be returned) with movement type 641. Goods receipt is posted in the supplying plant, movement type 101.
To achieve it, necessary configurations has to be done in Tcode- OMGN.
SPRO>> Materials management>> Purchasing>> Purchase Order>> Set up Stock transport Order:
    1. Plant: For the receiving plant, maintain customer No-Plant (If using STO with delivery), for the Sales Org, Dist channel and Division.
    2. Checking Rule: Create checking rule.
    3. Define checking rule : Usually no change required here.
    4. Assign delivery type/checking rule: Assign the document type(UB) - Supplying plant- Delivery type(NL).
    5. Purchasing document type: Maintain the supplying plant- Receiving plant relationships for the doc type-UB, either 1-step or 2-step, as per business.
    Hope this helps!

  • Stock Transport Order for Intra Company Code Plants (UB Document Type)

    Hi All,
I have a doubt with respect to Intra Company Code Stock Transport Order (Document Type: UB).
When you do Post Goods Issue (PGI) with reference to Outbound Delivery, Accounting Document is generated.
But, when you do Goods Receipt with reference to Outbound Delivery, Accounting Document is not generated.
I am OK with the Receiving part.
But, I am not clear about the Issue part.
    Please clarify this doubt.
Looking for the kind respons from all.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Srinivasa,
In STO, the issuing plant stock is credited and receiving plant stock is debited at the PGI from supplying plant. Then at the receiving plant accounting entry is not generated as the receiving plant stock is already debited at PGI accounting entry in the supplying plant.
Go through the below SAP documentation,

  • Incorrect value for condition type P101 in Stock Transport order

    Hello Friends,
We have a scenario where in transfering material from one plant to another using the STO way , the excise duty from the sending plant should be loadded on the inventory of the receiving plant.
In this scenario the excise duty X% is calculated on the condition type P101 (which is the standard price or the moving average price from the material master accounting view)
Giving below a sample cas e for the error occuring:-
    - Suppose a material M1 has stock of 5,00,000 EA of total value 2,03,707.16 inr , thus the moving average price calculated by the system is 0.41 inr per unit.
    - When i try to create the Stock transport order for this material the P101 condition value now appears as 2,05,000 inr for same 5,00,000 Quantity
If we check the difference between the material master value and condition value their is a difference of 1292.84
As mentioned the excise duty(X%)  is now getting calcuated on 2,05,000 . When we do post goods issue against the delivery created for the stock transport order the inventory value posted is from the material master i.e 2,03,707.16 , but the excise value are calculated on 2,05,000 in the Purchase.
This difference in value between the condition P101 in PO and the actual inventory posting value is resulting in incorrect calcuation of the excise duty.
can some help me regarding this issue.
    regards,

    Dear Gundam,
This might accured due to the rounding off problem, so please chek the rounding off condition type is available in the invoice or not.
If not plaese maintain the rounding off condition type sames as in the sales order then try.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

    Hi Joy,
It could also be authorization issue, which needs to be assigned to the user. Check with your basis consultant.

  • Stock transport order with movement type 643 - post to COPA

    Hello SAP gurus,
We use movement type 643 to post good issues for stock transport order (intercompany process). The delivery type is NLCC. We recently implemented account-based COPA. At the time of post goods issue, cost of goods sold should be posted to COPA, but it didn't. Could someone help me figuring out how to push PGI to COPA for stock transport order? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Cassandra Wong

The reason that PA segment is not populated in the good issue for STO is because the cost element of the COGS account was set to "01" instead of "12". I changed the cost element category and the PA segment is populated correctly.

  • Stock transport order between storage locations and assignment category type E not in MRP

    Hello Gurus,
I have a stock transport order between 2 storage location which belongs to the same plant. Besides the stock transport order is allocated to a sales order (account assigment category E). When I run the MD03, the system take into account the quantity of the stock transport order as a future entry and this is wrong. I need that the MRP has not into account the stock transport order as an entry.
As an important information, If I modify the stock transport order removing the account asignment category E (sales order), then the MRP doesn't take into account it, so this is correct.
Could anybody tell me how to get it?
    Thanks in advanced.

    Laura,
It is normal that MRP will consider an STO as a receipt element; this is basic planning.  It is unclear to me why you think you do not want it to do so, but I will assume you have some logical reason.
Contrary to what some others may have suggested, changing the scope of check for availability checking has no effect on which elements are considered for MRP.  MRP is a completely separate functionality from Availability Check.
For Location > Location STOs (within a plant), then, you normally have the receipt element of the STO in the destination storage location, and the requirements element of an equal amount in the source storage location.  Net of these two elements is zero, unless you have already issued the STO at the source location.
Changing the Account assignment from "E" means that the STO will not be relevant for your Sales order (in other words, when you receive this STO into the destination storage location, it cannot be used for your sales order).  In a general MTO scenario, it also means that the proceeds of this STO (the stock you received) cannot be used for ANY sales orders.
One way that some people make an STO 'not relevant' for MRP is to alter the destination storage location such that it is not relevant for MRP.  You can change the MRP relevancy of the storage location in MM02 > MRP4 tab

  • Stock transport order  problem

    hai guys
<b>Requirement:</b> Supplying plant good issued valuation type should be automatically updated in the receiving plant while posting goods receipt.
1.Stock transport order created in receiving plant with valuation type V1.
2.supplying plant posting goods issue With respect to the Stock transport order with valuation type V2.
3.But in the receiving plant it is showing valuation type V1 only.i want this should be automatically updated to Valuation type V2 from the supplying plant while posting goods receipt.
<b>NOTE:</b>both valuation type V1,V2 configured both in the Supplying and receiving plant.
How to resolve the above problem.

Use TCode MBSU to recive the material in receing plant against the suppling plant document
If u do goods recipt against STO it will pick up the data from sto only ie V1 and not V2

  • Freight Cost in Stock Transport Order

    Hello:
We have requirement where we want to include freight charges into inventory valuation of material in receiving plant of stock transport order. Is it possible using shipment cost document of LE-TRA module?
If yes, How can I do it??
Also, I want have different pricing conditions like washing charge, Demurrage etc. These pricing conditions are included in pricing procedure. Can I post value of these conditions in different G/L accounts? If Yes then How??
Also I want to crate a multi dimensional freight rate condition using Distance, Weight. How can I do this?
I will really appreciate your response or any docs you have on this subject.

    Hi dev,
We did something similar last week. To charge the freight cost to the receiving party we did a manual service entry sheet for that.
We created a separate Po with Transport vendor and the receiving plant and account type is Z shipment costing and service item description as intercompany freight.
You will specify the limit of the amount here, and   specify the G/L account here. Now create the service entry sheet withthe freight amount and settle.
I think you can follow the similar thing with additional lines for your requirement for other charges.
Since we want let the receiving plant pay the freight we didn't create the shipment cost document of LE-TRA.
Let see if any other suggestions comes.

    ratna

  • How to Add Freight to a stock transport order?

We have 2 plants on opposite coasts.
When we transfer goods from one plant to the other, we would like to add the cost of the freight to the inventory valuation in the new plant.
    How can we do this?

    > 1) U have to use Stock transport purchase orders.
    We are currently doing this.
    > 2) include the freight conditions in the stock transport pricing procedure .
I see in SPRO --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Set up Stock Transport Order --> Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule, that we are using delivery type ZNL for PO Type UB.
I also see in SPRO --> Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Functions --> Pricing --> Define Pricing Procedures for Delivery, that delivery type ZNL has no pricing procedure assigned to it.
Am I looking in the right place?

  • Stock transport order /stock in transit

    Hello
For a stock Transport order scenario { Recieving Plant , Delivering plant } , the documented procedure is:-
    1) stock transport order>Goods issue by delivering plant--
    >stock in transit(valuated)   -- >Unrestricted/inquality/blocked/consumption
just sticking to the above method, how many Material documents & accounting  documents would be generated ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
It depends on your setting, whether you go for 2-step Stock Transport or 1-step.
If It is 1-step then 1 material document and 1 accounting document.
This material document will be of movement type 647 and stock will not come in transit, stock will directly get moved from Supplying Plant to Receiving Plant.
And if it is 2-step then 2 material documents and 1 accounting document.
1 material document for GI from Supplying Plant to Stock in Transit (Movement Type - 641), and another from stock in transit to receiving plant (Movement Type - 101).
And it will update PO History in both the cases.
You can config. this in SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Setup Stock Transport order > Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, Underdelivery Tolerance > here activate "One-step" indicator if you want 1-step otherwise keep blank for 2-step.

  • Problem in creation of STO(stock transport order)

    hi all SAP gurus,
i am facing the problem in creation of stock transport order with ME21N code. i m getting the error msg of "Not possible to determine shipping data for material in STO "
i have checked the stock transport order setup in customization. but not getting the clear idea to come out from this problem.
if anybody have the idea of " how to do the customization of stock transport order setup, pls. let me explain.
    thnx in advance.
    rgrds,
    rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
when ur creating STO with UB doc type, then you have to maintain material in both the plants.
Regarding the error which is comming for you, you have to check the settings at
SPRO- IMG- MM-Purchasing-Set up stock transport order- Assign delivery type & Checking rule
here for document type UB and your supplying plant-XXXX select nothing for Dlv type(delivery type) and chr - 01 and after this save.
After this you create STO as you are doing and see what the system is prompting.
For any further clarification let me know.
    Regards,
    NJ
