Value adjustment documents

Hi,
Can someone explain how value adjustment (FMVA01) documents work? What parts in config have to be in place to use this functionality.
If you already have existing funds reservation documents and commitment docs, how will activating Val. adjustment impact these existing docs?

Write up the value adjustment in Asset Accounting

Hi All,
I did the asset transfer with in the company code using T-code: ABUMN
Old Asset # 1000
Asset Value Date: 18/04/2006
Estimated Life time: 5 Years
Depreciation: Every year: $ 5400.00/12 = $ 450.00 p.m.
For the current year up to 31 Mar 2007 Posted Depreciation is $ 5400.00
I did the asset transfer
New asset # 2000
Asset Value Date: 18/04/2006
Estimated Life Time : 15 Years
Depreciation Posted up to 31/03/2007 - $ 1800
The issue is, after I did the transfer, the book value of the old asset # 1000 has transferred to new asset # 2000, the depreciation has also calculated correctly- $ 1800
In addition to that, an extra amount $ 450 (Depreciation amount of the old asset #1000 per month) has also deducted the book value of new asset # 2000
The Current information of New Asset #2000
Acquisition Value: $ 27000
Ord. Dep Posted $   1800 -
Value Adjustment $      450-
   Net Book Value $ 24750 - But this value is not correct.
What I need to do that, I have to maintain the book value for the new asset #2000 for the current year 2006-07 is $ 25,200.00 and meanwhile require an entry for that value adjustment $ 450.
If I want to do write up the value adjustment amount $450 for the current year, the system doesnt allow to post the transaction and also in FI Doc posting (Because the account that I would like to post is a Recon Account). My company wants to write up in current year only ($450)
Can you help me to resolve the issue?

Well and thank you for your answer and meanwhile you didn't mentioned that How to set back the Recon a/c indicator for the G/L acoount. Because I tried to reset and the system gives the Error message "the account is having balance" and doesn't save.
But Finally I tried with T-code: OAK5 and result was fine.

SRM confirmations result in zero value material documents

We're on SRM 4.0 classic scenario.
We currently have a situation where we create confirmations in SRM but some of them ended up with zero value material documents; therefore, no accounting documents are generated. It also means no accruals are booked for the receipts.
I've compared several 'good' as well as 'bad' confirmations, and can't seem to tell the difference as to what may cause this issue. Does anyone know what may cause the confirmations to lose their price values in R/3?

In SPRO--> PRDn --> rem --> cost object controlling --> Define Default Values for Cost Object Controlling
check for your order type what is the costing variant
and go to OPN2
for that valuation variant what is the stratergy sequence?
based on this setting only the cost for GR is calculating
if the stratergy sequence is 7 valuation price according to price control of material
then check the price contril is it V or S, If its V, whats the price maintained for V

Value adjustment field in sq01

Hi
There is a requirement to fetch "value adjustment" field (in asset explorer) in an asset report (designed through sq01, logical database ada).
I tried abumn & value adjustment field gets populated for the asset but I can not trace out the table & the field where it is stored.
Can someone help me in pulling out this data from the table?

I have developed sap abap query using sq01. fetched most of the details from ANLAV, ANLZ, ANLB, ANLK, ANLP.
specific reqirement is to include value adjustment field (Ord. Depreciation CY + Ord. Depreciation PY) in this report.
but ANEP provides amount posted with respect to transaction type.
Closest one I reached is: table ANEA with two fields (Ord Dep. CY, Ord Dep PY). There summation can provide the total value adjustment but that I doubt could be of any use.
There is one structure FIAA_COMPARE_VALUES which holds the value but this cant be used in the query.
So, am i missing out on a table which directly holds the value ?

Activate "Value Adjustment Required Indicator" Field in FMX1

Transaction Code FMX1/FMX2/FMX3 (Earmarked Fund Maintenance), in More Button of earmarked fund line item, there is no Indicator Field for "Value Adjustment Required" marking.
This is the new SAP client setup. I have config field selection string and assigned. I set Opt. Entry for "_Indicator: Amount Change Only with Value Adjustment Document_" but in Earmarked Fund Maintenenace still not be appeared.
I would like to use earmarekd fund with Value Adjustment function (FMXPM1 - FMXPM3) so I need to mark the Value Adjustment Required field in FMX1/FMX2.
Could you please advice, how to show Value Adjustment Required indicator in Earmarked Fund Maintenenace Transaction?

The billing request is your call off sales document for the value contract e.g. USD 2,000 contract for which initially only USD 500 is billed, thus the debit memo request. The process applies to a situtaion where there is/are partial or staggered releases of contracted goods or services.

Storing custom metadata values at document level

Hi,
I want to create a metadata to store values at document level but looks like all custom metadata values are associated with document revision level. for example i want to store Parent document id value as part of the document because if store this value at each revision level then i will have additional overhead to update every time on each versions if parent document id is getting changed.
Please let me know Can we create custom metadata to store values at the document level?

I am sorry I think the word document created confusion. Office documents + Desktop integration do not have details.
I am looking like how to create a custom metadata that can be applied at content level. I had created custom metadata using Admin applets ->configuration manager ->Information fields->Add. Now this metadata is available for each and every version of the content. I could provide value for this metadata while check in the content or select the particular version and content action->update->change custom metadata value and click on submit update .This updates value for particular version.
I don't want to provide different value for each versions because as per our use case the value will be same across the content something like Content ID and if the value is changed then it has to be changed for entire content so is this possible to create metadata that will store value at Content level.

I am trying to upload the translation for one of the page at responsibility level.
I am getting following warning when running the below command.

I am sure you would have verified the responsibility id in the target instance is 51688(may be source instance your resp id is 51688 and in target it is different).

We tried to use ABAW but no accounting entries are generated.
Are we using the correct tcode or are there some steps we should follow upon?

Crazy Page Setup values on documents transferred to new iMac

Folks:
I'm helping a neighbor who had some important documents on an old CRT iMac, which we just replaced with a metal-front Intel-based iMac running 10.5.x (Great machine!) I've transferred all her files to the new machine. I also moved her Epson C86 printer to the new machine.
The files at issue are ordinary Appleworks 6 WP documents.
The Appleworks 6 application runs just fine on the new machine, under Rosetta (I guess). The documents open and appear just as they should on the screen.
The problem comes when trying to print. I open one of the documents, verify it looks right on the screen, and then I check the File-->Page Setup settings. The values that come up are for "Any Printer" and are crazy: for example, scaling is set at 1856% (or some such number).
I can adjust the settings for the Epson C86, US letter-sized, but as soon as I do that the document on the screen shrinks down to tiny. Nothing prints. Printing Preview shows a tiny document.
I haven't been able to figure out any way to adjust the Page Setup to get out of this. I guess the problem is that Page Setup parameters aren't always portable from machine to machine, even if the printer itself is the same. I don't know much about her previous setup. It's possible the documents had been maintained with Page Setup parameters for an entirely different printer
Workaround: I can open a new Appleworks documents and transfer the old document content to the new file by copy-and-paste. That solves the problem: The new document looks like the old one on the screen, Page Setup works just as expected, and the documents print just as they should.
I'm reluctant to apply this workaround because there are quite a few documents to transfer, and this work-around will set the creation and last-modified dates of the resulting files to the present, which is a slight disadvantage when it comes to managing her documents/
My question: Are there any other measures to deal with this issue? I'm imagining something like using "Option-File-->Page Setup" to completely clear any existing Page Setup parameters. Or.... ?

It's an old oddity.
My workaround is:
Save as AW5 document then open the newly created AW5 document with AW6.
This removes the embedded print record.
Added feature: it rebuilds the internal pointers so it drop possible ramping corruption.

How to prevent editing a SharePoint site column value from document properties view of a downloaded document?

We have created a SharePoint site column with below settings
1. ShowInEditForm - False
2. ShowInNewForm - False
3. ShowInDisplayForm - True
With the above definition, the site column showing only in view properties form not in New and Edit forms. This column is added to a document library and updating this column value will be managed by event receiver code when a document is uploaded.
Till this point, everything is working OK.
But the issue is when we download and open a document from the above document library, under document properties the above column (with value) is visible along with other document default properties and this column value is editable. With this issue,
user is able to set a new value and overwrite the existing value by re-uploading the document.
Could you please let me know how to handle this issue so that user should not be allowed to edit except viewing the value/property (read only)?

You can set "ShowInFileDlg" property of field to "FALSE". Using this you will not see that field in document properties list

Get/retreive managed metadata column value from Document Library using SharePoint 2013 JSOM

I am trying to retrieve managed metadata column (NewsCategory) value in SharePoint 2013 Document library using JSOM.
I get "Object Object" rather than actual value.
I tried:-

Text field is missing/blank in inventroy adjustment document

Hi all,
while posting adjustement entries for physical inventory through T-code MI07 we are getting field long text i.e. BSEG-SGTXT empty.
as these accounting documents are posted automatically this text field should be updated by system only.
can help anybody help me with possible reason for such error.
