Value Help in Web Dynpro Runtime

Hi all,
I have added value help in form. While running that application in an flash compiler,it is working correctly. But if i run in Web Dynpro Runtime . it shows the Internal Server Error. What may be the problem?
Whether i have to do any configuration?

Hi,

How to disable calculator value help in Web Dynpro Java

Hello ,
Does anyone know if it's possible in CE 7.2 to disable the automatic help calculator when using input fields of the type integer or decimal?
I ve done SAP Note 1406153 in server. But it doesnt work.. value help is still appear..

1. Create a smart form in the R/3 side
2. Now create a function module with the corresponding export parameter:
3. Make sure that the function module is marked remote enabled.
4. In NWDS create an Adaptive RFC model which points to the FM created in R/3 under the webdynpro application
5. Now create an application and view inside it to display the PDF and Insert a frame inside the view
6. Create a value node and an attribute say url of type string inside that node and bind it to the source
7. In the doInit() method place the following code

Inside that view create a method to convert the string to url so that it can be passed as a string to the setUrl method of the currentContextElement() , say convet(byte[] doc_content) which return a string.
Inside that methos write the following code,

Creating Search Help for Web Dynpro ABAP (FPM) Forms

Dear All ,
I am very new with SAP HCM P&F with FPM form. I am stuck with field search help functionality in FPM form. I have created on search help using
Web dynpro component to get all travel requests for all employees and linked it to FPM form field and its working fine....
But.... my requirement is how to filter travel request based on the PERNR (employee number) field in FPM form.
I think it can be achieved by using importing parameter LISTENER of interface IF_WD_VALUE_HELP_LISTENER but I am clueless how to pass PERNR to this interface to get travel requests for only employee number in field PERNR.
Kindly help me out in this issue.

Problems using Visual Composer with Web Dynpro runtime

I am currently trying to build a Visual Composer iView and we need to use the Web Dynpro runtime rather than Flash because it needs to work with a screen reader for users with sight problems. Which is a pity because Flash works fine. But when I use Web Dynpro runtime I'm getting the following problems:
a) When I define fields and pushbuttons in forms where Align Contents is set to Absolute, they do not appear at runtime in the positions in which I've placed them - all form elements are aligned vertically. The only other options are to align all fields vertically or align all fields horizontally. This lack of flexibility makes it rather difficult to create a good screen design; the only option seems to be to create a separate form for each set of differently aligned fields, which leads on to the next problem. .
b) When I define more than one form on a page, again at runtime the forms do not always appear in the positions in which I've placed them; the compiler seems to calculate how much space it needs to display the screen elements and then re-sizes and re-positions the forms accordingly, ignoring what I've told it to do.
c) Toolbar pushbuttons do not appear on forms (they do appear on tables). Irritating, but at least I can still create pushbuttons on the form itself.
There are other issues, but the main problems is that it appears that when I use VC with Web Dynpro I cannot trust the editor layout at all and the only way I can build something that looks decent is to fiddle about with field / form sizes and positions, checking every change on the output, until hopefully I get it looking ok. Having to do this will dramatically increase the time taken to develop VC applications. Has anyone else experienced these problems with VC and Web Dynpro? Has anyone managed to overcome them?

Thanks, but neither of these describes the problems I've been having. And they are misleading since they say that you can use VC with Web Dynpro only with Web Services ie not directly with BAPIs / RFCs, but using it with BAPIs / RFCs is one of the few things that works well in our system.
The most recent problem I've found is that if you make a form or table read-only it will stay read-only in Flash but the fields are editable in Web Dynpro. The individual field disable option does work for Web Dynpro, but it turns the fields from black to a vey pale and almost invisible grey (this doesn't happen in Flash). And you can't seem to change this.
It does seem to be a bit pathetic that input fields can't be made read only. I've tried expression boxes, which are read-only anyway, but they appear in as pale a grey as the disabled input fields. And although plain text fields can be added to tables, they are pretty useless since they can only hold a single value and so all the lines will contain the same value.
I guess I should resign myself to the fact that I am never going to be able to produce a decent screen using VC and Web Dynprp.

Search help for Web Dynpro using the SAP-search help

Im trying to create a generic search help for Web Dynpro using the SAP-search help. It should working so, that I construct a Web Dynpro-component, that gets the data of the search help from the SAP-system, interpreted it and creates the ui-elements and the needed context generic.
The mapping between the Input field of the customerview and the right search help is to be made with an xml-file, which contains the information: name of the view, the input field, the search-help-name and the name of the field that will be returned.
The xml-file is reading from a helper-class. That helper-class contains any information, witch need the search help-component as well as the customer-component.
The initialization takes place in the method wdDoModify of the customer. The call of the search help from the customer should be implement with an Action, witch is bound to a Button(create dynamic in the helper-class behind the input field).
In a second foot should be create a plugin for eclipse, witch insert the used files (search help component, helper class, ) in the project. In addition it should create the call in the customer generic.
It would be great if someone can give me a feedback!

The BlanketAgreement.exe is a reference to the executable that will be created when you compile the solution you created in Part II - Part III. I think there is a mistake in the tutorial because it asks you to name the project 'Blanket' which means that by default the executable will be called Blanket.exe and not BlanketAgreement.exe. The tutorial also misses the step asking you to compile the Blanket project before you go on to create an installer. You should compile your Blanket project in Release mode before creating an installer. By compiling the project you'll get a Blanket.exe file in the bin folder of your Blanket project which you then need to add to the installer per the instructions.
SAP do offer development courses in some areas and there is training material here on the SDN and on the SAP partner portal (and maybe the customer portal as well). Try searching this forum for 'training' or 'tutorial' and you should get a few links. There's also a development certification.
Personally I'd recommend you give yourself a little project to work on and just get stuck in

I would use a search help exit. Nothing WDA specific here, as this has been possible long before WDA came around. With a search help exit you define the search help like normal, but instead of database table or view being the source of selection, you have a function module. Within the coding of this function module you can call an RFC to read data from another system or call a web service if you need to bridge over to something that isn't ABAP based.

It is said that after compiling the model, GML code is converted into XGL code and by using flex or webdynpro runtime engine it is then converted into some specific executable format.
1) What is the executable code format?
2) Finally is the executable code converted into par files for deploying into the portal?

How to find a BADI to change the default value of a Web Dynpro Screen?

Hello Experts!!
My requirement is as follows-
The SAP cProjects Distribution Functions screens default the Calculation Base to Per Day(This is represented via the initially-selected value in a listbox). The requirement is to make it deafult to the current standard Per Month (This also appears in the list box).
Is there any BADI to achieve this?
I tried putting a debug point in the Get_Instance method of the class cl_exithandler to find all the BADIs associated with the screen. I got a bunch of BADIs with no luck. And now I am not even able to debug anymore as the debuger is not opening. Can anybody tell me why this is happening? It was working two days before. And yes I have read all the posts about debugging a web dynpro application and I am doing everything that is mentioned there- I have set an external debug point and I have checked the "IP Matching" checkbox against my name in the workbench, but, with no luck

You can't do this on a running VI. If you have an idle VI, you can open a reference to that VI and use an invoke node with the Make Current Values Default method, but that will only work in LV (i.e. not in an EXE) and will affect all the controls. What you can do is save the values to a file and load them when the program starts. OpenG's File I/O package includes some VIs which will help you with that.

I am new to EP so i need some help..
I am trying to implement some web dynpro i-views and i would like to know if there is any way to have F4 search help for fields in form template that correspond to R/3 fields. In other words i want to take the search help values from the R/3.
Should i create a model to call a BAPI for search help??? Or is there any other way?????

Well there is a way by which you can achieve this functionality... You need to call the static method HANDLE_VALUE_HELP of class CL_WDR_VALUE_HELP_HANDLER. To use it we simply need to pass in a reference to the context element, and the name of an attribute. It will then run the value help defined in the context for that attribute.
However being SAP internal, the method could change or disappear at any time. So this isn't a reliable approach. You would be better off following the approach suggested by the other users. I am however just quoting it for your inspection.
Suppose I have a context node by name NODE1 & an attribute MATNR under it of type MARA-MATNR. Now up on click on a button I want the search help MAT1 for MATNR to be displayed. Below is the coding for the buttons action handler:

data: wd_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
        wd_element type ref to if_wD_context_element.
wd_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE1' ).
