Value is not populated for new field in RSA7 from PI Interface

Hello Experts -
We have 3.5 bw and PI 7.x. we have a PI interface in bw working in production and now we enhanced the interface with a new added field. I mapped the new field in transfer rule/ modified update rules/ods and regenerated the soap datasource in bw. The user has uploaded the file in FTP with this new field added. PI picked the file processed and the value for new field got populated and pushed the data to BW. In RSA7, i dont see the data filled in for this new added field.
Not sure, if i missed any steps, in BW, so that I can populate the value for this field.

Replicate the Data source in BI and activate it using RS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL program.

Possibele entries are not populating for the fields on the selection screen

Possible entries are not populating for the fields on the selection screen for the query.But its working fine in Development and Quality Systems.

Hi,
In the Selection screen,go to Settings->Value Restrictions tab->Read Mode Settings->Custom radio button and select the options Values in Master Data or Only Values in InfoProv or Only Posted values for navigation.
After this setting,check whether you are getting the data or not.

Report Painter values are not populating for a particular cost center

Report Painter(GR55) values are not populating for a particular cost center for the months of April 1 2011 where as for May onwards values are displaying correctly..We have check the transaction code KSB1 for this cost center there are some values posted for the period of April..
Can any one help me to find out where exactly the issue is and how to resolve the same..

Please check the check box in front of the field config material is checked?
If so then this material is configurable material
A material that can have different variants.
For example, a car can have different paint, trim, and engines.
Configurable materials have a super bill of material (BOM) that contains all the components for producing every variant of the material. Similarly, they have a super task list that contains all the operations. When a material is configured, only the components and operations needed for a variant are selected.

Data not loading for new Fields InfoObjects from DSO to InfoCube

Hi Gurus -
               I have a DataSource that is providing data to existing DSO then to Infocube. My client asked me to added couple fields to DataSource and get the data to DSO and then DSO to InfoCube.
Here is the Old scenarion:   DataSource -> DSO -> InfoCube.
Here is the New Scenation:
     DataSource ( Added new fields) -> DSO (added new InfoObjects for Corresponding DataSource FIelds) -> InfoCube( Added new InfoObjects to mapped from DSO)
I added the new fields to DataSource, added the corresponding InfoObjects to DSO and InfoCube.
I successfully loaded data from DataSource to DSO. Data is populating for the new Fields/InfoObjects in DSO.
But when I load data from DSO to InfoCube, I don't see any data for New Fields InfoObjects in the InfoCube.
Data from DSO to InfoCube is loading fine for the Old InfoObjects Fields but not for the New InfoObjects I added in InfoCube.

Why dont u debug the load through DTP debugging and check what happens to the source field and target field once it passes through the transformation. You can easily trace back where the fields are becoming blank.
The loads which you have mentioned earlier did it have values in Added Records/Transferred Records column for the cube.

Delta records are not populating for enhanced fields in 2LIS_17_I3HDR

Hello,
       I have an issue with 2LIS_17_I3HDR datasource, i have enhanced the DS with Zfields, these are populated from AUFK through user exit. When i fill setup table, i can see the values being populated for enhanced fields, but for delta records, i dont find any values for these enhanced fields, even though the values exists in the AUFK table and i even tried degugging the user exit code, it doesnt go through it during the posting of delta records.
Can some one give some suggestion on this issue.

                 Yes, delta records cannot be populated by enhanced fields. Here the issue is different,
i have added a closed date to the extract structure, this is order specific, so when i create a new PM order after the full load, and release the order and close it, the AUFK table get an entry for closed date, my exit compare the object number of the extractor to object number in AUFK and get the closed date value to the DS, this is not same as enabling delta on the enhanced fields (which cant be done).

Data not populated for Enhanced field

Hello,
I had done enhancement by adding field to the LO Datasource.
Written the code in the CMOD to populate the data. When i run init it worked fine and i am able to see the data for the enhanced filed.
When i run delta iam not able to see the data for that field in RSA7, But i am able to see the data in RSA3.
What is the reason that i am not able to see the data for the enhanced field in RSA7?

Hi M.A,
This means that there is no delta data for that field.
If there is no change in the data for that field then you cannot see any data in RSA7.
Check in the Delta repetition in the RSA7 for any data for that field.

OSX Mail not checking for new mail on wake from Sleep.

Since upgrading to 10.6.4, my iMac no longer checks for new mail when waking from sleep. I have to manually Get Mail, and then it keeps up to date as normal. RSS feeds get updated fine. I am using MobileMe mail.
Any ideas? I have restarted Mail and rebooted the computer. Nothing obvious in the logs.

I think you will find this is a product of the use of the IDLE command. When the computer is asleep, but you have not quit Mail and logged off, the MobileMe server try to contact the Mail app to "push" emails. Not finding any response from Mail, the account is logged off. Quitting Mail and relaunching should restore -- does it?
You can test this by deselecting to use IDLE in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced.
Most people, who leave Mail running, would only allow the display to sleep and not the computer.

Chracteristic values folder not populated for Infoobject in query

The Query is created on an Infoset, based on 2 ODS's. In one of the ODS, the new infoobject is created and the INFOSET is adjusted appropriately . The values are displaynig correctly in the ODS and in the INFOSET, but not showing in the query. The " Chracteristics values" folder is not populating in the Query.
am i missing something?

Delta not populated for Enhance field

Hello Friends,
We have a requirement to enhance Sales Header (2LIS_11_VAHDR) to retrieve Customer Group (KDGRP). Hence i enhanced the structure Sales Document: Header Data (MCVBAK) and included the field ZZKDGRP. Also wrote the Customer exit to fetch this data from VBKD-KDGRP.
Now the problem that we are facing is that when any of the standard fields of 2LIS_11_VAHDR are changed we get proper Delta records, but if the user only changes the Customer Group (KDGRP) of a Sales Order we wont get a Delta record.
I referred the Blog https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/1591but [original link is broken] would like to know if there are any other solution to handle such a scenario.
Any help will be appreciated.
Note: This field is also available through VA02 so can we make some screen level changes to trigger a Delta when this field value is changed.

its checking for the LO fields to be change to show you delta but not puling delta when one of your feidls change.
create a temp table like C-t_Data in r/3 load all Lo data in it and check ofr this fiedl data to be chnaged ..you will have to write logic in cmod that if previous value is different from new value then update tempt_table and append temp_table data in to C-T-data. hope that helps ..

Mail not checking for new mail after sleep

Mail will not check for new mail when waking from sleep unless I log off and back on first. I tried quitting Mail, which works once in a while. I tried putting all Accounts back online, which works occasionally. But most often nothing works except logging off. Must I change to another mail program, or is there a better solution.

After trying various solutions, I found that the fault was not with Apple Mail or my iMac but with Airport taking time to warm up after sleep. I switched to an Ethernet connection instead and it works fine now

Addition of a Field in EKKO/Data not getting populated for that field

Hi All,
I have added a Z Field in EKKO Table through the Append Structure "CI_EKPODB".
There are around 2000 records in EKKO and for all the records that Z field is Blank.
But, when I write a Select Query in Program to Fetch the Records where that Z Field is BLANK, I get only 50 Records.
The same happens when I Execute SE16 for EKKO by giving condition Z Field = INITIAL. I get only 50 records in the output.
Please help me understand why I dont get all the Records where that Z Field is INITIAL?
Is any customization required or is this a Technical Issue?

hi rohan,
if you are adding a field in a table by append structure then make that field as ZZ instead of Z to differentiate it from normal fields.
now when you have created the field in a append structure then if have not checked the initial flag.thats why u are getting this data inconsistency.
this is because earlier 2000 entries are prestent in the table , now when you add another field in the table then that field will not have value for those 2000 records.
now when you create the fiels select the init flag field,if you select this then new flag field will NOT NULL,so initial values will be filled for that field for existing 2000 records.
Note : NULL and INITIAL are different things, NULL means not defined and initial means which is having its initial value.
check that init flag and u will get those 2000 records, you are getting inconsistent data now becuse value for that field is null ie not defined.
hopr this will solve ur post and u wil get the concept of append structure.

BAPI' BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA' throws error the below error while creating material.
'The value 4010 39 99 is not allowed for the field MARC-STEUC/BAPI_MARC-CTRL_CODE'

As this BAPI is triggered from external sytem that by client in production environment , I would not be able to dig it further.
Thats why I asked if anybody confronted the same error previously.

The value 1 is not allowed for the field variace key

Hi experts,
When i was creating material master i was getting the status message as "the value 1 is not allowed for the field variance key" , but its stopping there its not moving out of that screen and creating the material record. When i see this field in the material master configuration its an optional field. Can you give me suggestions, where it can go wrong.
