Value not visible in preview mode

Hello there,
On my dashboard, between other things, I have a simple grid component which should just show some resulted values.
The problem I have is that when I connect the grid with the range of cells, everything looks fine but in preview mode, one line in the midle of the grid is showing "0.0" on all cells of the line and I do not understand why.
The version I have is 5.3.4.0 with build no: 12.3.4.1038
Any idea what to do?

Hi,
When you are connecting your grid component it only taking static data, but while preview it is taking data from your data source. So I guess there is a possibility that your resulting data set contains a blank row (check your data from data source).
try to create one more data grid with the same data set, but fetch populate the data into different location. See if it is still giving you the same problem.

First tab of Lable Based Menu is not visible in Preview Mode

HI Genious,
I have added one Lable Based Menu in my application. If i apply the dynamic visibility to it, in preview mode 1st tab is not visible all other tabs are visible.
Ex. In Lable Based Menu, I have three label :- Distribution Center, Zoo, Bird Park. I have applied dynamic visibility to this component. In preview mode, I am not able to visible the first label (i.e. Distribution Center) while all other labes are working properly.
While i remove the dynamic visibility, All the labes are visible. But my application is not like that so i could not adapt that solution.

Hi Rishit,
Please let me know if you have applied Fix pacK3 for Xcelsius.
I have seen this issue in FP2, which got fixed in FP3. The workaround you can try is including a blank cell.

How to draw vertical lines that are visible in preview mode?

Hi all,
I need to draw vertical lines on a document. The lines must be same as we draw using line tool.
I could draw the line using CreateLineSpline() method of IPathUtils.
The problem is that these lines are not visible in preview mode. Please tell how can we make lines that are visible in preview mode.
Please help, I'm running out of time.

Placeholder content not visible in Preview

I am a RoboHelp10 newbie with two projects on the go, one inherited and one new. Placeholder content (breadcrumbs and Topic TOCs) is visible in Preview mode (Ctrl+W) in the inherited project, but not in the new project. They don't show in Firefox/IE Preview either. All other content/formatting seems to preview just fine. MS_HTML_Help is the designated primary layout for both projects. Based on a post in this forum, I tried updating DHTML effects, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?
I am assuming if they don't appear in Preview, they won't appear in the generated CHM. Correct?
RESOLUTION: I finally fixed the problem with brut force by starting a new project and importing the HTML pages, etc. Even then, it took a few tries before it worked. Still don't know the underlying cause.

Slideshow not visible in preview or when published

Hello, I am trying to add a slideshow to my page and it is visible in design mode but not in preview or when I publish. Page URL is http://thepeculiarpalette.businesscatalyst.com/artplates.html
Here is a screenshot of where it is supposed to be located. The header text isn't visible either. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I checked the site , header text shows up on page and the slideshow thumbnails also shows up, but the image on page does not shows up.
Tried to check and can see that image frame which is inserted in head section stretches down the page and thus overlaps with the image on page , try to lower down the size of image frame that is used in header section so that it does no overlaps with the hero image on page.

Change on process chain not visible in display mode after transport

All,
We have changed a process chain where message notification was active in development.
We have deleted the notification and created a transport. This has been released and implemented into the QA system without a problem.
When displaying the new process chain in QA the change was not visible. But in change mode it is.
Can anyone tell us what might be a cause/solution for this? Also for future changes.

hi,
Try activating the PC again in the QA.
if still it does reflect the message notification, then try creating the request again
in DEV and transport.
make sure you r out of the Process chains in DEV nad QA when transport happens.

Navigation bar not visible in edit mode

Hi,
is there somebody who can help me out of this: in edit mode my navigation bar is not visible, however once the site is uploaded the bar is visible. During edit mode i can only see a big dot which positioned in the navigation bar text box.
I am using the latest version of iweb and OS 10.6.8

That is so unusual. Usually it's the other way around: looks OK in iWeb but not after publication.
Log into another user account on your Mac, launch iWeb, create an new test site and see if the navbar is visible. If it isn't then the application seems to be the culprit and a reinstall of iWeb seems warranted. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iWeb" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Value not visible in combo box

Hi all,
I have a control bar with 5 combo boxes.
As the user set the value on a box the others are refined to
include only those items that are relative to the user selection.
All works well with one exception in one list the value is
present bu not visible.
Has anyone encountered this before and does anyone know how
to correct it?

Duh.
In the one case where the item fails to show I was not
casting the value as a string.
Casting solved the issue.

How ur LOV(ie.SelectOneChoice) is attached to the field from a viewObject.. Is it attached through a viewAccessor?
I think ur update page is a separate page having a form layout and if so please drag and drop the selectone choice field(ie.attribute has LOV entry) from respective
viewObject shown in the datacontrol. this will create a LOV entry in ur pagedef file and try the same.... :)

Report not printing in preview mode

i have a report that has real strange behavior. we are using the forms server to produce this report in preview mode. this report will produce the desired results for some of the reports. but on other reports this pulls up a blank pdf document. on the webserver the pdf is produced properly in cache. the pdf can be opened on the server and viewed fine. does anyone have any ideas of why this is occuring.

which webserver are you using? did you try to copy the file to your client and display it locally, just to see, if the client-side-acrobat is working fine ?

Captivate 8: Buttons not responding in preview mode

I've installed the trial version of Captivate 8.
At the moment none of the buttons are working in preview mode.
They do however work, when published.
I've checked my properties, and have my buttons checked to 'rest of the slide'.
Anybody come across the same problem, or have a solution for me?

Newly created form field does not appear in Preview mode, only edit.

Created two fields on this page. Only this first one shows in Preview mode. I saved the doc before hitting preview.

What happens if you exit forms editing mode? Is the field set to hidden?

Previews are not visible in library mode or import mode.

I downloaded LR2 and imported my catalog from LR1.0. It looks like the photos are there but no previews / thumbnails. I have uninstalled and reintstalled but still have the same problem. The really strange thing is when I click to open in CS3 the photo will open. I just have no idea what I am opening because all I can see in LR is the grid view with grey squares.
I am running vista could this be part of the problem? I can not see any of the previews even when I try to import from a memory card, internal file, or card reader. I see the same grey squares during the import process that I see in the library.
I could never get any of the 1.x upgrades to work on my computer so I have stuck with 1.0.
I really hope someone can help me, I love LR and really do not want to have to find another program, but LR just seems to be very fragile on my system.

You have two problems. I. the preview in the import pane is not shown. This is very typical on windows and has to do whether your system has an interpreter for the RAW format you are trying to import. I believe microsoft makes a n addon that reads more raw formats and most camera manufacturers provide a plugin to do this.
II. No previews displayed in Lightroom. I remember some people had this problem. There are two possible causes of this. A. a bad monitor profile - this is very common on windows and can be fixed by recalibrating. B. an outdated display driver. Lightroom will show behavior like this if the display driver is no good. Check if MS or the maker of your display card has a newer driver available.

Encore Remote Preview Buttons Not Working in Preview Mode

I have had this annoying problem on several ocassions and it's back again. I have never been able to figure out what causes it.
When in the prview mode to test the DVD compliation to see if the remote buttons will change between the menu buttons I created, I am unable to select any of the three buttons in the menu with the remote selector at the bottom of the preview window. I am able to select them with a mouse click but not with the remote buttons meaning that when the DVD is built, a real reomte will not change the titles that are associated with each button.
What can be causing this to keep happening. The compilation in Encore is a linked composition form Premier CS4--both Encore and Premier are CS4.

I know this post is old, but I found it as I am having the same issue. Encore CS5. I have a menu that I have 9 buttons layed out, near the bottom, and the previous/next and main menu buttons are near the top. The 9 on the bottom are each numbers 1-9. However when I preview it starts at 1 then pressing right arrow does not jump to number 2 but #11, the "next" arrow button on top of page.
I will post a screen shot with buttons 1-9 hilighted, showing they are not touching, and the button routing turned on.
Any thoughts?
I guess I will make a new menu and see if I just need to reuild it.

Values not visible in DTN

Dear all,
I am not able to see the values in the DTN iview. I have set the level of navigation in TLN to 2 and starting level of DTNat 3.
However I do not see any values in the DTN. Please let me know wat could be the issue.

No it is not a fresh installation. It was getting displayed earlier and I don't think there was any change we did on the TLN or DTN. The preview of the DTN actually displays values in it. Just that the values do not get displayed when it is view on the pages
-> 2) Are you using FQDN (Fully qualified domain name) when accessing portal?
I tried accessing the portal in both ways with and without the FQDN
-> 3) Any Javascript errors in browser? Which browser and browser version you are using?
