Value of service item exceeds allowed value limit

Hi Friends,
This is regarding a service PO or Contract . I want a create a Value/quantity Contract of more than 100 crores value.When the service line item value is more than 99.99 crores system is issuing a error message (Message number SE371) displaying the text under the subject from which I am unable to proceed further. I even tried to delete  the message from attributes of system message under Purchasing as well as in external service management.but still the problem continues .Is there any system setting where value of more than 11 digits are not allowed. But in target value in header what ever value i am putting is no problem. How to solve this.It is also observed that the field Total value PLANVALUE has length of 11 characters for which this is not happening.Should I change the length to more than 11 in the structure RM11P.

I'm with the same problem in my client and that "just technical limit" is "just" the big issue that I'm facing here.
I don't think we have to accept the limit but force SAP to change it, once I know a few more cases like this. How can I say to the client that he has to change his way of doing business, because SAP refuses to change a field?
In African countries, for instance, the currencies have a low power, so this limitation is easily reached.
So, is there real solution?

  • PO service item - custom field value not copied to GR

    Hi All,
    I have a custom field in SC,PO and GR. For a sevice and limit items, the value in custom field in PO is not copied to GR. For goods, it is copied.
    When I debugged, I found that the system tries to match PO item internal number with that of backend item internal number. If this is matched, the custom field values are copied.
    But here it is not matched. What can be the possible reason. Is there any configuration for item internal numbers?
    I found a note 848797 for transfer. But exactly at the corrected code in note, program is failing.
    Have anyone faced this issue before?

    Yes Disha, the notes are correctly implemented.
    I am confused on whether the internal number generated for the item is copied from some configured internal range, because when I enter two service items, the items shows backend internal numbers like 0000000010 and 0000000020 (increment by 10). But in SRM it is 0000000001 and 0000000002.
    When the code tries to match the respective numbers, it fails and skips the logic to copy custom fields.
    I dont have access to r/3 data.
    Please help.
    Have anyone tried to create a GR with service item and has custom field?

                            I have a situation where in my Sales Order i booked 10 quantities for an item with item category Tao,with each having value of Rs 1000. So net value for the item is Rs 10000. Now in billing plan my client bills on value basis. an bills for 5 times.1st time billed for 3000,next time 4000,then 2000,then 3000,then 5000. Now the billing value for the item is 17000.My net value is Rs10000 and my billing value is 17000.this should not happen the billing value should not exceed net value.i am stuck with this concern.i require this on priority basis as reports will show this entry.looking forward to your help.

    I think, in milestone billing, value of TAO item is immaterial(as long as it is non-zero). Whatever value you have in the billing plan would get billed. So I dont see any issue in your case.

  • Newbie ERROR- URL Encoded SQL Length exceeds allowed 32K limit

    My SQL Query worked fine yesterday.( I'm still in developing mode)
    I made a copy of it and put it into a text file.( Just to be sure I had it.)
    Today When I tried to run it in APEX , I get error
    URL Encoded SQL Length exceeds 32K limit.
    Is there any way to tell how the size of my query ( for example 33K)
    is using?

  • How to get rid of Business Rule in JhsModel: JHS-00128 Allowable Values req

    JHeadstart 10.1.3.2
    We are using FlexItems in our application.
    The JhsModel implementation, shipped in Jar file jhsadfrt-10.1.3.jar, contains the underlying ADF BC objects for the FlexItem functionality.
    When we try to create (or remove) a FlexItemDefinition of type Dropdown List, we are stopped by the error: JHS-00128: Allowable Values are required for this Item Display Type.
    We do not want that - we have a UID that does not allow editing of master and details on the same page. Therefore, we will never be able to successfully create a dropdown list item since we cannot in the same transaction create the allowable values as well.
    How could we disable this business rule - or remove it altogether? I suppose it is implemented somewhere in the jar file that contains the JhsModel project. What is the recommended way of disabling this constraint?

    Hi Lucas,
    This error is raised if the number of allowable values is zero and the allowable values query of the flexitemdefinitions entity is 'empty'. You could write a (temporary) dummy allowable values query in the flexitemdefinitions entity in order to save the master, and then once you've input the allowable values in the details page, remove or reset the value in the allowable values query attribute of the flexitemdefinitions entity.

    in this case system is NOT able to find the release startegy.
    Please take care of the following explanation (see note 365604)
    o  For OVERALL RELEASE (purchase order and purchase requisition) the
       item fields such as Plant and Material Group will be aggregated
       to header level.
       For example you use Plant/material group
    as one of your characteristics. If all
    items do not belong to the same plant/material group
    then
    *******the relase strategy will not be found***********
    unless you have maintained a blank value as one
    of your allowed values for the characteristic Plant/material group
    . If all items
    belong to the same plant7material group
    then that plant is aggregated to the
    header; if one or more is different then a blank is aggregated to
    the header.
    If you use an overall release strategy all
    characteristics which you have defined in the customizing (CEKKO-MATKL
    must have the same value. If one item has material class x and the
    other y the system does not know with which material class it should
    look for a release strategy. Now the system sets the material class
    to 'blank' and tries to find a release strategy. If you do not have
    defined a blank entry in the customizing (Transaction: OMGS
    : OLME >release procedure for PO > rel. strategy ) the
    system won't find a release strategy.
    you need
    to add a blank value to your allowed characteristic values in your
    release strategy.  To do this you can define a blank value in your
    characteristic (CT04).  On the values screen leave the char.value
    blank and add a description and save.  Now in OMGS you can select
    this value as an allowed value for the characteristic.
    (Example:
    To avoid this you can do the following:
    - go into transaction CT04
    - enter the characteristic 'CEKKO-MATKL'
    - click on the tab 'values'
    - set a flag in 'additional values'
    - in the column 'Char. value' do not enter anything
    - in the column 'Description' enter a text like 'no material class'
    - save this setting
    Now
    - go into transaction OMGS -> button 'release strategy'
    -> button 'classification'
    - double click on CEKKO-MATKL' and set a flag in 'no material class' )

  • Calculating a value from a item after pressing a button

    Hi all
    I would like to calculate the value of an item (highest available value in db +1) using a pl/sql-function after pressing a button. The result depends on an other item on the same page. The value of this item is not known while rendering the page. The result should be inserted in the item before saving/validate all other items from this page.
    Part of SQL-Script for one possibility :

  • How can I see planned values for services in PS reports?

    Hi experts.
    We are implementing PS for a mining company; in our process, project designers plan materials and services in networks and then get planned values for budget requests.
    The problem I am facing is that I cannot see the planned values from services in the plan values reports. No value is exhibited for version 0 if I plan only services in a network. For materials planning I can visualize planned values normally. The network is not released. On example of planning values report that I am using is s_alr_87013533.
    Does anyone know how to correct this problem with PS configuration?
    Any help is welcome. Thanks!

    for planning services I am assuming that you are using service activity
    check if determine plan cost is set up in the network header
    secondly make sure that the plan costing variant is set up with the valuation variant  to define where to get the plan values from

      While creating PO wrt to contract : I get error msg : Sum of values exceeds the allowed maximum value per service line Message no. SE402. Can I change it to warning or should I bifurcate one line into two , as the value is very big. Totalling to 11 characters excluding decimal. Its like xxx,xxx,xxx.xx inr.

       For service line items, the maximum allowed limit is 999999999.99 (total 11 digits including 2 decimals) as per design. If you want more than that, you may split the service in to two line items.
       The note:   1810281 - System does not issue error message SE 402  explains the logic.

    Did you create 1 asset or 2?
    Are you trying to enter both assets in the same line in the MIRO invoice?

    Which SRM version are you using ? What is your business requirement ? Do you want to change Service Item description value for every line item in the shopping cart OR
    the permanent text displayed on the Left side on the HTML Template.. ?
    <b>Incase you want to modify the HTML template Text, then it can be done using HTML Template modification.</b>
    Using Transaction SE80, In the Internet Service - BBPSC01, you need to find the relevant HTML Template and make the required chnages to the Description there as per your business requirements.
    All BBPSC* transaction are using the HTML sources of service BBPSC01.
    So you have to modify template SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS_300 from service BBPSC01.
    Make sure to publish the complete service on all defined sites so that changes can appear in all respective SRM Client systems.

    In the Service PO, in item details Limit tab, actual value is incorrect, service entry/ GR value is diffrent and actual value in the limit tab is diffrent, in fact it is showing the same value as overall limt and expected value,

    Hi,
    Is the value of EKBE-REFWR = RSEG-WRBTR for your PO and invoice? If yes, then what you are seeing is not an error. The values are correct.
    The 'Actual value' in the PO displays the sum of the invoiced amount referred to the PO/item (EKBE-REFWR / EKBE-REFWR).
    But the displayed 'Value in local curr' in the PO's history for each invoice's item (EKBE-WRBTR) is not the invoice item's amount, it includes the following 4 parts:
    1. Invoice item's amount
    2. Non-Deductible Input Tax(NVV)
    3. unplanned Delivery costs
    4. Cash discount amount
    So the 'actual value' in the PO cannot be the same as the totoal invoiced value.

    I have a scenario. I have to accommodate EDI SAC codes into SAP through IDocs(inbound vendor invoice (FB60)). I have around 4 to 6 SAC codes which have values that will be either credited or debited to GL accounts. some are at header level and some are at detail level.
    How come I implement this scenario. I have no clue to implement this scenario.

  • Invoice Value should not exceed Order Value

    Dear All,
    I have a requirement in which whenever a user creates an A/R invoice ( Partial or full ) the total invoice value ( Partial or Full ) should not exceed the total Sales Order Value.
    Scenerio :
    Sales Order No 10001 has 3 line items i.e Item 1, Item 2, Item 3 with line totals of each as 100, 200, 300. Now Invoice is done for Item 1 and Item 2 on 1/1/09 line total 100, 200 which totals to 300. Now again after some days final invoice is done for Item 3 whose line total is 300.
    Now I want a check that the system should check the total sales order value which is 600 with the Invoice Value and it should not allow to add the invoice if 600 is exceeded ( May be Invoice done partially also )
    Also a check is required that the line total value of Sales Order should not get exceeded when making the AR Invoice.
    I think this could be possible using SP. Pls advise how to make this SP.
