Value restriction in COGI

Hi all,
We want to restrict user by specifying certain limit for value of transactions carried outin COGI FOr example up to Rs 20000. how to restrict user by allowing goods movement with errors by value of transaction?

Hi all,
COGI restriction issue is solved through user exit.But now i have queroies regarding configuration settings required to enable COGI in plant.I have came up with following observation:
01. In order confirmation parameters OPK4 if i remove tick from goods movement & Error handling, COGI is set.i.e. System doesn't restrict at the time of confirmation despite material shortage.
How can i use COGI facility without any configuration changes to order type?
If i don't change configuration in order type & tries with user status, It seems that configuration settings overrides User settings as confirmation is allowed even with user status restricting it.
Any clue?

1. You can use the standard SAP functionality of release strategy, where you can maintain your maximum PO value. If PO is created for the value higher than this, it will be stopped for output & has to be released or has to be cancelled.
2. For second point also, you can use SAPu2019s standard functionality of PTO (Purchase to stock) , Here you can use MRP type u2018VBu2019 for the material, maintain lot size, safety stock, reorder level quantity. So that whenever you will run the MRP, system will generate requirements.

BEx Input Help Values Restricted

Dear Gurus,
    In our project, we navigate the attribute "0SALESORG" of "0PLANT" and use it on the report. In Sales Transactions, there is another 0SALESORG in our multiprovider. The problem occurs when I set 0SALESORG and 0PLANT as BEx variable input. When I select one sales org, the input help values of plant are restricted corresponding to the sales org. Below are the steps.
   1) If I input Sales Org = 7081, the possible values of plants are restrcted to "NU01" which is under sales org 7081 only.
    2) If I do not input any Sales Org, all the possible values of plants are displayed (such as LK11, LJ11,etc).
      If I input only Plant = LJ11, LK11, there are transactions with Sales Org 7081 and Plant = LJ11, LK11 in the infocube as below picture.
What I want is I want to input Sales Org 7081 and then further input plant LJ11, LK11. (However, when I input Sales Org 7081, only the plant NU01 is available on the Search Help screen.)

In our business scenario, 1 sales org can pick and sell materials from plants of other sales organization. As in the last screen, sales org 7081 can sell material from plants LJ11 (under sales org 6451) and plant LK11 (under sales org 6461).
However, with the restriction, I can't input the sales org 7081 and then input plant LJ11 or LK11. It just shows plant NU01 (under sales org 7081)
By the way, the variables I currently used are on 0SALESORG (not Attibute) and 0PLANT already

Duplicate Value Restriction in Value Mapping Replication

Hello Everyone,
I was working on Value mapping replication interface which was working fine. But the value mapping replication was allowing duplicate values which are already existing. We are using this value mapping in other interfaces. But because of multiple entries exists for the same values the value mapping was giving blank value as a response. It was not giving any value even though the values are exists in value mapping table. can any one let me know how to restrict duplicate entries in value mapping replication.

could you provide the whole command sentence for the JS to set the filter value? I am not sure what value to specify for 'All'. It is actually 'no filtering', I understand. But what is this value to set for 'no filtering'? Must I use both dropdown.value and dropdown.text or could I just use dropdown.value?
So, I cannot disable 'All' as I need to use it specifically as 'filter' value.
Pls advise.

Search help value restriction fields

Hi experts,
I have modified the existing search help by using "SEARCH HELP EXIT".
Here is the situation:
As soon as I press F4 button on particular field, it will display search help restrictions window with 4 fields.
suppose if I enter material number on material number field, it should display only particular material not all materials.
Normally it was working fine before I written search help exit.
In search help exit I am selecting values directly from database table with out consider restrictions window parameters.
How to findout the restrictions window parameter names ( I mean screen field name). So that I can add those fields in my select statement where condfition.
Pls help me.

Value restrict in Service Entry Sheet

Hi,
is there any option in service entry sheet that qty should be flexible (it should be excin SES) but value should be restricted (not exceeded than tolerance limit).

can you elaborate your scenario? are you asking solution to restrict both qty and value in SES? or you are saying for QTY there is provision to restrict but for value there is no restriction?
i am not very familiar with External Service management but would like you to check below point
check if there is relevant message in define attribute system messages for ESM - (Tcode OLMSRV) - this works when you are creating SES against a service PO

An info object has been already restricted with # sign in Rows.(BEX). If I added a varialble to that characterstic how does it work?

Yes, it will allow you to add the varibale for the characteristics.
if you have restricted the characteristic with the " #" value, it won't allow that values rest will be displayed as per the selection.

Search help value restriction in two tables having same value table

Hi Gurus,
I have two tables containing same field having same domain with value table. My requirement is to restrict the values in the tables. For example the field contains 4 values:
1) A
2) B
3) C
4) D
For table 1, only A and C should be seen in F4 and for table 2, only B and D should be seen. Also if somebody forces B or D
in 1st table should not be allowed and the same for 2nd table ( A & C are not allowed ). How to do this using search help exit . Which event should I use. I don't want to create two separate check tables containing only the required values.

How to know what is the characteristics value restricted to KF column ?

My query is like this :
Filter :

Fiscal Year input variable to allow user enter whatever Interval range of years.
Key figure Column definition :
Fiscal Year
KF Structure

Eg.
User enters : FY range from 2010 to 2013
Report shows :

char1 char2 __KF1__KF2__KF1__KF2__KF1__KF2__KF1__KF2
My requirement is to display KF column header as "Actual" for FY < 2011 and as "Plan" for FY > 2011.
It seems I need to use a Text Variable.
But how can the text variable know what is the FY for each Column in order to compare with current FY 2011 to know if it should display "Actual" or "Plan" ?
Kindly advise what function to use to meet this requirement. I have been asking several related questions from different angles but problem remains.

I hope to clarify with you, do you mean like this :
1. Let user enter 1 Fiscal year as the start or end year. This variable will be used to restrict the KFs by offsetting this variable for the rest of the KF columns.
2. Based on this form of restricted KF, the Text variable will read these variable values using Replacement Path for this characteristic using dimension setting 'Date'?
I actually tried restricting a column with a FY variable, which is a range of FYs, and created a Text Variable using replacement path but the replacement path gave a fixed FY, eg, 'From' value, and not an incremental FY result for the next KF Columns.
I also tested using a Formula variable to compare the year using replacement path to compare if > 2011. Seems the same issue as the Text variable, unable to determine or read what is the FY in the next column. It only knows the start FY of the FY range entered.
My FY characteristic is an infoset type of characteristic technical name, eg ZZ_ISET_F10, and not the 0fiscper. I not sure if the way created these variables are correct.

I need to set the filter value for dropdownlist.
What value should be used to assign (All) value in the <Param...>?
Does it mean that this table will always be filtered to this value?

Net value less than COGS

Hi Gurus
Please let me know, if there is anyway apart from using an exit, where we can get an alert if the net value of the order is less than the VPRS

This can be achieved in standard itself
For VPRS condition type maintain subtotal as B and requirement 4 and alternate calculation type as 5 in your pricing procedure and with these settings if nett value is less than VPRS then a warning message will come and even if you save it will tell that that the document is incomplete and you may not be able to create the delivery etc
This should satisfy your requirement
If you look at the standard pricing procedure RVAA01 in that VPRS comes with subtotal as B and requirement 4 and we have to add alternate calculation type as 5 to get our requirement in that

Regarding COGI

Greetings,
               I have problem regarding COGI, after confirmation if any error in goods movements or stock, records goes to COGI even I block these settings in confirmation parameters i.e.OPK4.
How can I restrict the COGI?
I requested you people to suggest me the suitable solution.

                           Please throw more light about restrict the confirmation when backflush mtl is not available and mannually issued mtl has not been issued.
                            As above mentioned thread is regarding value restriction in COGI, But I am facing problem in confirmation,During confirmation error records for bk flsh mtl goes in COGI even though I restrict these things in OPK4 (Customization parameters for order confirmation).

Restrict dictionnary Search help displayed values.

Hi,
my problem is that I have to display a search help. The search help already exists in the dictionnary and is defined using a Dictionnary Table.
I need to display the same serach help but I have to filter the results using a range of values for one of the fields and I would like to know how to proceed.
I know that user-exit exists in some search help, it's not the case here.
The kind of solutions I'm looking for is :
- directly restrict the existing search hellp values
- found a way to display a search help from abap using an internal table ( cause it's easy in this case to do fill a internal table doing the sql request myself)
- if the solutions above can't apply, doing my own search help in the dictionnary but in this case, I don't know to make this search help for values restriction.
I specify that the screen use the screen painter, it may be important ?

Hi,
Search Hels exits is only for exceptions, so in our case, we won't use the search help exits, it is better create/change the Custome one and attach the same to the fiels, there you can give the Default value for the fileds, so there you can restrict the values
or else, we have an option like, APPEND SEARCH HELPS, so by using this, we can restrict some field values, this Append Search helps, can be append to Standard Search helps also, so do Append the Standard Search help and add your field and give the Default values to restrict the user

Hierarchy value not getting displayed in WAD.

Dear all,
We have a Hier Variable for Business Area, it is there in the Filter area of the query.
when we execute the report in WAD through Portal , we are getting the Values restricted with Hier variable. But in the WAD report we have created filter Tab , which will display the values entered in the Variable screen wil display. But for this Business Area Hier Variable , we are not getting this displayed. when we use the Char variable for this we are getting the values in the WAD report Filters.
we need to display the hier value entered in the variable screen to be displayed in the filter tab of WAD Report

Values from check table to Dropdown

Hi Experts,
                I have a requirement like, i want to show the values from a check table in dropdown list. i have two transparent table of which i made a foreign key relation with the second one with some value restrictions. That all working fine.
    I tried creating an input box with reference to the field in the first table.then the search help is comming correctly with the valus from check table. But when i tried to attach the same to dropdown its not displaying the value.
please suggest a solution to display the values in drop down.

          consider you want to have some 10 purchase order numbers in your drop down.
          you will be assigning a node to your drop down.
          in its supply function, write the codings to fill your node by using a select query.
           just like filling a table.
           in this case, your drop down gets filled automatically.
