Value spaces-domain of RFC in Dropdownbykey

Hi,
Value spaces has a domainvalue in my R3-application.
That description isn't shown in my Dropdownbykey-element of my WD-application.
All others domain-values are correct shown.
How come ? Does anyone know ?

Did you ever figure this out?  I am having the same issue.  Anyone have any ideas?

    Dear all experts:
I internationalized a WDJ application between zh and en,every thing goes well ,but there is still a problem puzzled me:
There is a "DropDownByKey" binding to a field(domain) that RFC provided, when I click the "DropDownByKey" as an English user,I can see 6 values in the list but 2 of them are Chinese and 4 are English.
    Just like this:
    5 分 -
    Chinese
    4 points
    3 points
    2 points
    1 points
    0 分 -
    Chiniese
I have checked the translation both in ECC and WebDynpro Java Application, even restart the ECC, but still got this problem.
    Please help me !!!!
    Thanks in advance!!!!

  • Dropdown listbox getting values from domain

    Hi,
I want to create a Dropdown listbox that gets its values from a dictionary domain. I usually get the values from a table but there's a case where I need to get them from a domain. Is it possible?
    Thanks.

    Hi Carles,
If you are talking about the Domain which is used inside a Data Element, while defining data types, and as far as my knowledge goes...
We cannot store values in Domain...they are just for declaring Data types...And it is the Table Field which stores the values...
    Hope this helps...

  • Function Module to validate a value against domain fixed values

    Hi,
Could anybody please let me know if there is a standard Function Module that takes a Value and Domain name as an input and checks if the input value exists in the Fixed Values of the domain.
    Thanks,
    Shalabh

    Hi,
you can use fm FM_DOMAINVALUE_CHECK. Pass parameter values for I_DOMNAME and I_DOMVALUE.
If the value is invalid, exception VALUE_NOT_ALLOWED will occur.
    Regards,
    Klaus

  • How to read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain .

How to read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain .
The domain has a Value range i want to read those values .
Are these values stored in any table ?
Plz help me i need it ver badly...
    Thanks in Advance...

    Hi Chandra Shekhar,
To read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain , you can use the function module : HR_P_GET_FIXED_VALUE_TEXT.
iIf you enter the domain name, you will find the fixed values entered in the domain.
These values are stored in a table DD07L(DD zero 7 L). Here the values are stored based on domain name.
See if it works for you.
    Award points if its helpful.
    Regards,
    Bhanu

  • Get value range value from Domain

    Hi all,
My screen field ZXX is using data element ZDEXX and domain ZDOXX.
I maintain list of record in ZDOXX, eg
    001 Pepsi
    002 Cola
After user select value from value-help table for ZXX field(say 001), the field will be display '001'.
I want to display the description, "Pepsi" when user hit enter key on ZXX field.
How can i achieve that? Can i read the value range table value from Domain ZDOXX?
    Many thanks.
    Best regards,
    Xiang Li Heah

    Hi,
    in se11->search help ->create a search help
provide the table name and the field for wich u need to provide the search help
now in the database table u need to provide the foreign key relationship for that field.
generate a proposal and give the data element name , make sure that the domain name is the same.
    thanks

Is this because there is a difference in 10.1.2.0.0 and 10.1.2.0.2 configuration settings (ms and sec)? Applying this patch, the default domain disappears!!!!!!!!!!
    This patch is for 10.1.2.0.2.

I have the same errors occurring at an alarming rate. I did isolate it to the App Store. Specifically when checking for an update. I was hoping that you could test this out for me. Go to your console log and select all messages and then check kernel in the sender box (bottom left). I found that now is a good time to insert a marker. Now launch the app store then got to the update section. Select check for update.
Does this generate a series of the errors? I can reproduce the errors every time I "check for updates". The error would not show up when checking for updates in iTunes.
I did notice errors in both extending from CFNetwork
    App store:

  • List of values from domain

    hi,
i had created a custom table with a field based on a domain that had like 5 values. in my dialog, when the user presses F4 for that field, i want those values to be displayed. how can i do that ?
i dont have those values anywere in any kind of master table and so i cannot select it from custom table and display using  CALL FUNCTION 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'.
    thks

    Hi,
You can also get the domain values using the GET_DOMAIN_VALUES FM and call the F4 function module to display. If you don't have data element..
    Check this code..
    * Declarations.
    DATA: BEGIN OF s_data,
           domvalue_l TYPE domvalue_l,

  • DrillDown in ALV for fixed values of domains

    Hi,
i want to create an ALV Grid with an structure that has data elements with domains containing fixed values.
As far as i know, in Table Controls and other dynpro fields refering to such domains, the drilldown function is automatically available.
In an ALV-Grid the values are available with the F4-Button.
Ok, you can select a value, but the value is shown in the grid is the fixed value not the short text of the value like it is in Table Controls. What I did is to implement an conversion exit to show the short text in the grid, but I am not really satisfied.
What I ask you: Is there a possability to show a field of the ALV-Structure with drilldown functionality automatically, when the domain has fixed values?
    Thanks in Advance
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
I think I have found the solution to your problem. When you call the method SET_DROP_DOWN_TABLE of the ALV Grid, you can see that there are two tables parameters (both of which are optional).
You can use the second tables parameter to give the short text of your field-value.
    Consider the following code snippet.
    ==========================
    data : lt_dropdown_with_alias type LVC_T_DRAL,
           ls_dropdown_with_alias type LVC_S_DRAL.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-handle = '1'.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-int_value = 'T'.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-value = 'True'.
    append ls_dropdown_with_alias to lt_dropdown_with_alias.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-handle = '1'.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-int_value = 'F'.
    ls_dropdown_with_alias-value = 'False'.
    append ls_dropdown_with_alias to lt_dropdown_with_alias.
    call method ALV_GRID->set_drop_down_table
                exporting IT_DROP_DOWN_ALIAS = lt_dropdown_with_alias.
    ==========================
Obviously, <b>int_value</b> is the internal value and <b>value</b> is the text that you want to be displayed.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Anand Mandalika.
P.S. I'm almost certain that this code will work. If it does, please do reward the points.

  • Value Mapping Replication Vs RFC Lookup API Usage Pros and Cons

    Hi Ananth,
Looking at the options you have, Value Mapping Replication might be a better option, because, by going the second route, you are just trying to simulate how a Value mapping replication works in reality.
But, when the VMR framework is readily available, why do we need to simulate it by using Java code?
Moreover, the java code approach will be triggered as many times and the number of messages that are triggered VS the number of times the VMR tables in the Java Runtime gets updated only when there is an entry that is added/modified in the SAP side (Which i feel is less frequent than the frequency of the messages being sent through XI).

    Hi,
There are more issues you need to consider here:
    1) Is this static data or will it change often (the lookup data);
    2) Wether it is a good approach to keep it in middle system? if so who takes the ownership of managing it i.e. update, delete etc from time to time
    3) The tables don't seem small to me for value mapping
I am not a big expert but i am off the opinion going RFC way as it will keep loose-coupling in place.
However your issue for not using graphical RFC is not true though, you can pass all your line items as a single object which means only making ONE single call to ECC and then get the return the same way. Think along the lines of internal table as an object

  • Table Parameter Values Are Input To RFC?

    Hi,
My Requirement is Table Parameter Values are Input RFC.
We have Table Parameter With Project ID Column and Multiple Rows.
User Need To Enter Project id's in Table And Submit. The Result can be displayed.
In My Scenario User Need to enter the values in table.
I Developed Webdynpro Application and Deployed.
When i am trying to enter values into a table, table is not taking values.
Because in My Requirment is the user enter morethan one project id in table.
    Thanks
    SubbaRao Chinta

    Hi,
Can you please explain more clearly that what is the meaning of "Table not taking values"?
Did you take the ColumnCellEditor(inputfield) for table column as input field.
For example, You need to create a value node as below
ProjectIdsNode (Value node with cardinality 0..n & selection 0...n)
        ---> ProjectId (Attribute)
And bind this ProjectIds node to table UI element.  And bind ProjectId attribute to ColumnCellEditors(inputfield) value property.
Now in submit action loop though this node and get all the values entered in ProjectId attribute.
And set all these values into input of your RFC while executing to store in backend.

  • Checkbox - type of domain in RFC function

    Hello
I'm dealing with such a problem,
I try to bind input parameter (type CHAR1) to checkbox on Webdynpro view, what type of domain should have
my input RFC function parameter to be able to bind it
to the check box (I know about possibility of defining new field in context and bind input paramater to it and than in Java assing the it to the checkbox but I would like to have it more simply )
    Thank you in advance

  • Transporting translation of values in domain in 4.6C

    hello all
does anyone know maybe a simple way to transport translations of values in a domain? in ECC6 there is report RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER but it does not exist in 4.6C; any idea?

    Hi,
if you create a transport request of type transport of copies and add the complete domain to this request, this should be the most simple way to transport all translations, too.
Add your domain with R3TR DOMA your_domain to the request.
    This should work fine.
