Values in the form vanishing when sorting in grid

Hi experts,
I am using Entity based VO, The VO contains some 15 columns, I am showing 10 columns in the af:table grid and the rest are out of the grid uses normal binding of the same VO. I am having those columns in formlayout.
Issue : when I select the row in a grid, the values are changing in the formlayout. and if i try to sort the rows in the grid then the fields ( i mean the input text itself vanishes, only lable is showing)in the formlayout gets vanishes.
at that time row selection is not there..
please give some idea.. how can i do this?

Once I click the save button in the form, it is going to disable mode in that form only. When I open another form I able to use the save button. If I open the previous form, I am able to see the save button again. When I click the save button at that time only it is going to disable mode. This is happening for all forms.
And there is no folder like services in the given path \Hyperion\logs\services\HyS9Planning-sysout.log.
I rebooted the server, even the problem was not fixed.

We applied the Note 1413209 and 1403266. The fix didnu2019t work.
I noticed the SAP Note 1403266 mentions a prerequisite Note 1346443 which is for SP4.
We are currently in SP5 and our system mentions Note 1346443 as u2018Cannot be Implemented. u2018
Please advise.

But yeah, all you need to do is direct your action to the same page you're in. So, if this is your foo.jsp, it'd be something like...

</form>When you submitted your form, it would post the value to the same JSP page as you're already in, and print out Hello to the screen. "Hello" would not print out on the first visit, as the request would obviously not contain the parameter "bar" yet.

I am entering some values in the form.
Is this possible to track that i am entering some values in the form.
How can i identify that?
Any other built-ins are there to identify that i am keying in some values in my form.
I cant use Form_status,Block_status and Record Status.
All of the items are Control Item.

So how can I compare the ACCT_FD_NO value between FIRST_RECORD and NEXT_RECORD ??

Actually before posting the code, I went through the first link you have mentioned. I tried also, it is quite tedious procedure, however i dint get the proper result, may be i have done some mistake. Anyways , can you tell me how do i check in database table, if a value exists OR IF VALUE FOUND & then message and raise form trigger failure; something like below.

How to keep the field value in the forms for one week

I have an application that when the user logs on to it , it shows all the documents that are in the current dept.
the form has the following fields:
document no
sent date
assigned to
dep_LOV
and a check box
if a user clicks the check box and assignes the document to another dept by cliking the LOv then the assigned to field should be populated with the new value and the sent date should be today's date(sysdate). the requirment is that once the user assignes the documnet to certain depts (for example sales dept) the assigned to field and the sent date should show up in the form for one week and the user should be able to see that data in the form the next time she /he logs onto the application. the one week time is to make sure the documcnt has reached the assigned dept. after one week from today's date the updated assigned_to field and the document no should not display on the form. During the one week if the user logs on to the form again that particular document and the assigned to and sent to fields shoould be grayed out and shhould not be updatable. I will greatly appreciate any suggetion as of what to do to solve this problem. it is urgent. Pleade help

I used the NVL function so your select will show rows where sent_date is null OR sent_date has a value that is within 7 days prior to the current date.
What is the field :docs.assigned_to used for? If you want to include ONLY rows that are assigned to a particular person, then your where clause might be:

How to display the values in the form based on another form option?

I have two forms. Based on form 1 option the form 2 should display.
Form 2 values are stored in a separate table consists of step_id and step_name
For example:
In a Procedure there are multiple steps(step1, step2... step n).
If procedure 1 is choosen from form 1 and user clicks the start button and the page navigates to another form 2.
In form 2, step 1 of procedure 1 should display.

You can cachieve this my passing parameter through the Branc or by setting the items in computation / process.
1. On Page 1 on condition Proc1 chosen create a conditional branch that fires only when Proc 1 is chosen
2. In the Branch set the Items on Page 2 with values of Items as dictated by Proc 1.
That should do it.
It depends a lot on what Page 2 needs to dispaly the right stuff.

U can create ur sequence in Entity level row creation itself while pressing the button u can call ur CreateInsert Method and in ur entityImpl create method(if it not got override just override and use it).
U can use the below code for assigning the sequence value insertion for every row creation.
SequenceImpl sequenceImpl = new SequenceImpl(<<DB sequenceName>>, getDBTransaction());
sequenceNo = sequenceImpl.getSequenceNumber();
setAttribute(<<Attribute Name>>,sequenceNo );

Values in the form are not saving

When I enter a value in the Planning form ( Classic Planning 9.3.1) and try to save it, it is not saving and after that save button also getting disable. It is not showing any error. What might be the reason?

How to change values in the form?

Hi guys,
I am working on a small JSP project. I have a form in a page. It has several textboxes getting inputs from the user. In the JSP code, I want to change the value of the textbox based on the some condition in the JSP code:
<form ... action="the same page">
<input type="text name="theTextBox" value="" ...>

if (javaObject.changeTextMethod() == true)
//I want to change the value of the textbox to something else here, I can't say theTextBox.value="whatever"

If I create a form again, I have to write the same code many times. Is there anyway that I can reuse the form code and just change the values of the textbox?

How to prevent numericstepper from setting the value to the defined Maximum when a number greater than maximum is entered in by keyboard and user hits the "Enter" key.

I need to set the Maximum so that the use can use the mouse to change the value of numericstepper (and not go over a certain number), but at the same time I have to allow the user to enter their value by typing in the text field. When the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, I disable the "Ok" button of the dialog and show a red warning(error message). The issue is that the user can hit "Enter" and numeric stepper would set the value to the Maximum and the dialog box would close and the rest of code would run. I want the numericstepper not to change the value and keep showing the warning even if the user hits the "Enter".
Note: Setting maxChar does not help since my maximum is 1000, and user might enter 5555

The issue is that if I set the maximum value of stepper 1 greater than the max value that I want, then the user can select an invalid value(of myMax + 1) when he clicks on the UP arrow of the numeric stepper(which is not acceptable for what I am working on).
I need to preserve the users invalid number, while not letting the user to select an invalid number by clicking UP key.
I noticed that when the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, and then click on the down arrow, it would set the value to 1 less than the maximum. This is not acceptable either.

Changing the value of the login URL when load balancers are used?

We are running Sun access manager 7 and web policy agent 2.2 on two Sun One web servers. Both of these servers sit behind a load-balancer, and the load-balancer is terminating SSL. The servers are named server1.domain and server2.domain, and the load-balancer FQDN customers access is vip.domain (the servers and the VIP are both in the same domain). Our configuration is currently not working, and it looks like the AMAgent.properties "com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url" value is to blame. When we set AMAgent.properties to the value of one of the hosts, the login redirect sent to clients contains the FQDN of one of the hosts. When we change the name of AMAgent.properties to the load-balancer VIP, the policy agent is no longer to talk to the access manager. After spending a ton of time reading through the forums and the available documentation, it looks like the property "com.sun.am.policy.am.library.loginURL" would fix our problem. Well, we set this value to the name of the server, but for some reason the policy agent is still trying to contact the load-balancer using the value that is listed in the com.sun.am.policy.am.login.url property (we verified this by setting the debug level to all:256). Given this information, is there a way to configure the policy agent use a URL that contains the name of the host it resides on, and have clients use a login URL that contains the FQDN of the VIP? I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, but cannot seem to locate one.

1. have you configured an Access Manager site?
2. The root CA cert should be imported in to the keystore in use wherever the agent has been installed.
3. on the AM servers, put in an fqdn map for the loadbalancer...
When installing an agent, have it point to the load balancer FQDN, along with https as a protocol.
