VAMT showing KMS generic key as MAK...HUH? WHY?!

I have this computer with a Generic VLK (KBKQT-2NMXY-JJWGP....) for Office Standard 2013 which can, i'm assuming, only be gotten through a KMS host. However, when I check it using the Volume Activation Management Tools it shows "Office 15, OfficeStandardVL_MAK
edition"....what gives? Is this some kind of glitch or something else is amiss here? This is happening for a few of our machines that the previous IT tech installed Office. Oh and the Product Key Type reads as Retail instead of MAK.

To check the activation type and status of Office, take Office 2010 for example:
Open an administrative level command prompt.
Navigate to the Office14 folder:
32bit Office on 64bit OS – “cd \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14”
32bit Office on 32bit OS and 64bit Office on 64bit OS – “cd \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14”
Execute “cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus”
Look at “LICENSE NAME” for license type and “LICENSE STATUS” for activation status
If Office is KMS activated you will see “KMS_Client edition” in the license name field:
If Office is KMS activated you will see “KMS_Client edition” in the license name field.
If Office is MAK activated you will see “MAK edition” in the license name field.
If Office is Retail activated you will see “Retail edition” in the license name field.
After the steps above you should know the actual activation type.
Or an easy way, ask the previous IT person if you have his contact information.

First, before you sleep your MBP, make sure you either scroll down the Apple menu to sleep your machine, or do it even more easily by pressing CMD-OPTION - DiskDrive (upper right hand corner of your keyboard). I wouldn't just close your machine to let it sleep.
It's hard to know exactly what's happening, but here are a few pointers.
1. Go to System Preferences/Energy Saver and make sure you've set a sleep time of more than two or three minutes. Your machine may be trying to sleep too early. In the same preferences, set Computer Sleep to more than ten minutes, to make sure you don't get an unintentional sleep.
2. Take a look for third-party applications you might have installed.

I am trying to release the request, this reques was generated to installation the baseline for Peru but I got this message:

Diagnosis
The generic key 200SAPLCATS 2100TCA was entered for the object TFAWC. All keys that match up to the asterisk are to be transported.
The key cannot have any special characters before the asterisk, since they are interpreted in different ways by different database systems.
The key contains the special character _.
System Response
The entry is rejected.
Procedure
Extend the generic entry, or specify all keys individually
Any sugstion for this message?

HOWTO: get JDev to show the foreign keys in Conn Nav & struct window

Hi,
I have SQL tables with foreign keys but the JDev connections navigator and table editor dont show them. They just look like primary keys in the "PK" column. The structure window shows a bunch of constraints with names like "SYS_C00143114" which is not very meaningful to me. Surely JDeveloper knows what these magic numbers mean and can trace the foreign keys for me.
How can I get JDeveloper to show the foreign keys, and which table is referenced by that foreign key? Can I make it navigate from a table's foreign key value to the the correct tuple in the referenced table?
Maybe this is an ER if JDev doesn't do this already. Navigating a schema, or drawing it showing all the foreign key references would be very handy. Navigating through actual table data would be nice too.

I found "new->Database Diagram" that does a lot of what I wanted, at least in mapping out the foreign key references. Now if I can just figure out how to print a .png file...
It would still be nice for the connection navigator to trace them also.

Ichat showing all generic AIM running man buddy icon

Not sure what happened today but now iChat is only showing the generic yellow AIM icon for all my AIM buddies. I deleted all the cache and pref files and nothing helped.
I installed iChat streaming icon today but it was working fine. Now all of a sudden all my buddies are showing up as the yellow running man>?

Make sure port 5190 is open to the UDP protocol.
This includes the Mac Firewall if On
The Modem and any router you have.
If it is open in the Modem make sure that it points to the IP your computer has if you are using Port Forwarding with DHCP
Go to Users/(your account)/Library/Caches and then com.apple.iChat.pictures This is a folder. Inside delete the .plist there.

Using a KMS server in a MAK environment

I work for a college in Alberta, Canada. We're currently running all servers
and workstations with 100% MAK licensing keys.<o:p></o:p>
We recently implemented A VDI computer environment of about 200 computers
and need to use KMS to supply the computers with their licensing.<o:p></o:p>
Is there anything that I should be aware of when running both KMS and MAK on
the same environment? I am concerned with my existing servers and workstations
going to unlicensed after we activate the service.<o:p></o:p>
Has anyone had this experience that can weigh in on this? Thanks!

We can use both KMS and MAK in the same environment.
KMS activates computers on a local network, eliminating the need for individual computers to connect to Microsoft. To do this, KMS uses a client–server
topology. KMS client computers can locate KMS host computers by using Domain Name System (DNS) or a static configuration.
KMS can activate both physical computers and virtual machines. When planning for KMS activation, the network must meet or exceed the activation threshold,
or the minimum number of qualifying computers that KMS requires.
A MAK is used for one-time activation with Microsoft’s hosted activation services,
with no renewals required. Each MAK has a predetermined number of allowed activations; this number is based on Volume Licensing agreements and does not
match the organization’s exact license count. Each activation using a MAK with Microsoft’s hosted activation service counts toward the activation limit.

So in the last few days I’ve noticed that pressing my volume change keys actually isn’t changing the volume on my macbook pro at all. When I press the volume up or down keys, it makes the recognisable pop sound but stays at the same volume while the squares go up or down. I mute it but my computer still makes sound. It’s the same with the volume control up the top of the screen, too. I slide it up and down and it doesn’t change the volume at all. The only way I can change the volume is with my speakers or the program I’m in (iTunes, VLC etc). I restarted and it seems to be okay then I go to change it a couple minutes later and it’s back to not working again.
I’ve checked my settings- the “use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard fuction keys” is not switched on, and I have tried a suggestion of moving the com.apple.systempreferences.plist file out of the library and onto the desktop and restarting and neither of those seem to make any difference whatsoever. I’ve tried to find online forums but the only suggestions I found were those two and they didn’t work.
I’m just annoyed because I usually have the worst luck with technology but my macbook had been going strong and I got it because of the apparent lack of things that could go wrong, but of course even if there is one thing that could go wrong it will happen to me.
Please help!

Table Maintainence generator Error Special Character '_' in generic key

I have created a Table which contain 6 fields. All the fields of the table are primary key. The combined length of all the primary key is 163 characters. In the activation Log of the table we have a warning message which states "Key length > 120 (Restricted functionality)". Initially we are able maintain the entries using SM30. BUt now when we are making the entreis in the table an error message comes. The error is Special character "_" in generic key.and we are not able to save the entries.
I have deleted the table maintainence generator and have regenerated it. But the same error is coming.
Please provide your suggestion.

How to activate Windows 8.1 on a Windows 2008 R2 KMS server when I don't have Windows 2012 R2 kms host key

I only have windows 8.1 kms host key but I can't add a client OS kms key to Windows 2008 R2 kms server. And I don't have Windows 2012 R2 license either. Is there any way I can activate Windows 8.1 using my existing kms server? Thanks.

I would like a yes no clarification answer. So does this mean that EVEN WITH THE PATCH. My Server 2012 Standard edition that currently hosts KMS VA for clients running Win7, Win 8, Office15, Server 2008, Server 2012. Will not be able to host windows 8.1?
I will have to install 8.1 and use as a host?
if you have a KMShost product key for WS2012R2, you can patch a down=level Server and be fine.
(the OP didn't renew SA or otherwise has no KMShost pkey for WS2012R2)

My KMS server is Windows 2008 R2 (Also is my domain controller). I want to activate Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 machines off this KMS server. I can install the 2012 R2 key just fine but receive error 0xC004F015 (The Software Licensing Service reported
that the license is not installed) when I try to install my 8.1 KMS key.
What I'm gathering from this thread is that I have to set up a Windows 8.1 host and set it up to be a KMS server exclusively for activating Windows 8.1. Is this correct? If so, Microsoft needs to fix that. I have a SERVER for activations for a reason: it
is a server, not a client. If I am mis-understanding, how do I get my Windows 2008 R2 server to accept the Windows 8.1 KMS key for activating 8.1 clients?

You don't need Windows 8.1 KMS key. Your 2012 R2 KMS key will be able to activate your Windows 8.1 machines. So your current set up is fine, no need to set up another Windows 8.1 KMS host.
My problem is I don't have 2012 R2 KMS key as I didn't buy any Windows 2012 R2 license. So I can't use 2012 R2 KMS key to activate my Windows 8.1.
Oh that's interesting. I guess I need to play around more because my 8.1 test machine isn't activating. I'll start a new thread for that if needed. Sorry for the confusion.

All new keyboards need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above for full functionality.
Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere.

Show the different key figures

Can we define a query, and show the different key figures, base on the different value of the characteristic?
Let's say, in the query, it contains a characteristic called "store", and if the store = A1,i want to only show key figure K1, K2, and a formular =K3/K2;
and if store = A2,then i want to show key figure K1,K2,and a formular = K4/K2; otherwise(for other store <>A1, or A2), i want to only show K1, K2 and a formular =K1/K2.
Is it a way fo rme to do that, pls advice.

And for other stores, their ¡§store open date¡¨ are all in 2003.
So in the query, I have two key figures: MTD (sales value month to date this year), and MTDL (sales value month to date last year). If I run the query today, which is 21 of Sep 2005, then the date range for MTD will be from 09.01.2005 ¡V 09.21.2005; and the MTDL will be base on the range from 09.01.2004 ¡V 21.09.2004; and I have another formula key figure ¡§percentage¡¨, which compare ¡§this year¡¦s sale month to date ¡§ with ¡§last year sale month to date¡¨, eg: ¡§percentage¡¨ = MTD/MTDL
But since for store S034 and S035, the store only open on 09.04.2004 and 09.18.2004 respectively (that means there is no sale value existing before their store open date last year). So for store S034 and S035, we will only use the MTD partially to calculate the ¡§percentage¡¨. Eg: the date range used for calculation for this year¡¦s Partial sales will be from 09.04.2005 ¡V 21.09.2005 for S034 (K3); and 09.18.2005 - 21.09.2005 for S035 (K4). I have already created key figures for K1, K2, K3, K4, based on the different date range above.
So the report will look like below (of course, K3, k4 will be hidden once the calculation of ¡§Percentage¡¨ is done)
