Vanishing Point is greyed out in PS Extended

I cannot find a way to open this filter. I've re-installed PS Extended, opened a document, created a spare layer, changed canvas size, all the things I see in the tutorials, but it remains greyed out.

I know this is old, but in case you come across it again this is one fix that works about 75% of the time.
Edit>Preferences>General>Reset All Warning Dialogs.'

Cancel Distribution Point Reassignment Greyed Out

I executed a Reassign Distribution Point to a server and by default selected D$ as the share to copy to because all of our DP servers are setup on D: EXCEPT for this particular server which has D: as the CD-ROM and E: as the shared drive which is Also used

When I try to crop using lightroom 5 the image vanishes in a grey out.

Has anyone had this problem. When I try to crop an image in the devlope module in Lightroom 5 the image vanishes and I am left with a grey out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still have the problem. Do I have a setting wrong?

did you migrate your RAW files to the new RAW 2.0 convertor ???
i believe that if left at the 1.1 it will prevent you from using the new features ...
migrate is under the file menu ... and can be done project by project, image by image or the whole library at once (very freaking slow if large library) ...

BOOTcamp greyed out

After installing new bigger HDD to my MBP (late 2009) and re imaging with winclone I was able to use both osx and mac from start up However just recently the drive containing bootcamp vanished .. is greyed out under Disk utility and reports as unrepairable.enclosed is gdisk and gpt show listing

After reading the peoples comments of the procedure in that article, i saw that alot of people have been havkng a issue which is after they done this procedure they get this message ""
"No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"
i was wondering if you could tell me what to do now? Should i still do the procedure of the article i link before or should I just continue with my bootcamp.
p.s above just to remind you i did this method open the modified info.plist and where it says PreUSBBootSupportedModels, All i did was remove the Pre and it looked like this USBBootSupportedModels and then i clicked saved. however you said this method is ok and that i shouls continie bu following up with the procedure of the article ?

Hi I am trying to us the vanishing point and its greyed out...no matter what I do?

I believe it only works with 8 and 16 bit files and the image can't be hidden...Does everything meet those requirements?

Moving iPhoto to external drive; have formatted external disk to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), moved the iPhoto library to external drive; when trying to change the library, the iPhoto file on new external is greyed out can't be selected.What went wrong?

Must have done something wrong..
1. formatted external disk to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) - required a partition, but that went fine. Entire new external disk was included in the partition formatted to Mac OS Extneded (journaled).
2. moved iPhoto library to new external disk
3. Holding Option key down, opened iPhoto
4. Choose library feature appeared, however when new library function option appeared and "choose library" selected, the iPhoto folder appearing in the new external drive was greyed out and not able to be selected. Therefore the default library remains the original iphoto library on the Mac.
I've moved the original iphoto library to the trash and then tried to start iPhoto. A message comes up that the iPhoto is in the trash and needs to be pulled out before iPhoto can start (clearly the new iphoto library on the external drive is not being seen.
Can anyone suggest where I went awry? Thanks!

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
Then try select it again.

Fieldpoint IO points are all greyed-out and alias is "unknown"

the app was originally written in 6i or 6.1 I don't remember. I am updating and adding an Oracle backend. Anyway ...
Running LabView 7 on Win2K server, MAX 3.2
in the Fieldpoint IO point controls/indicators, all text is always greyed-out, and when I poll for FP resources, the first part of the string, the alias, shows as "unknown", not the default value = "Fieldpoint".
What am I missing??

Have you setup your FieldPoint controller and modules in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)? If you are using an Ethernet controller (FP-160x or (c)FP-20xx) then you need to set it up underneath remote systems. If you have a serial controller then you need to set it up under devices and interfaces. If this isn't the issue, then make sure that you have the correct IAK file selected by choosing browse from the FieldPoint I/O Point Control menu (click the down arrow). A configuration window will appear and make sure that you have the correct IAK file selected under the View Configuration tab.

PH5 extended and 3d options greyed out

Hi everyone. I am working in a studio who have photoshop cs5 extended. I would like to use the 3d for a project but the menus are greyed out? I have checked the preferences and turned on Enabled openGL Drawing. The Advanced settings can only be basic (others greyed). The care used in the machine is NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT OpenGL Engine and the Mac spec is below..

First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Extending View Object expert mode greyed out

I am trying to extend the View Oject oracle.apps.irc.offers.server.IrcOfferSearchVO. While extending the expert mode check box is greyed out and I can't change the SQL. I wanted to add a table in the from list and add an extra where condition using the added table.
Can you please help me how can I extend the view object if the expert mode is greyed out.

Why is "New Volume From Layers" Greyed Out? (PS CS5 Extended)

OK here's what I've tried, based on forum research:
1. Make sure two layers are selected.
2. Deleted PS CS5 preferences (using Shift+Ctrl+Alt method) - tried twice.
3. Checked that my video card is supported (it is).
Yet this menu item continues to be greyed out - I'd appreciate any suggestions to get it working!
I cannot find out how this menu item is meant to be used as there seems to be no article in Adobe Help.

In that case how does this guy get it to work with TWO layers http://www.planetphotoshop.com/3d-light-beams.html and also the demo from MAX2010 - maybe he was bluffing?
And two vector paths is normally enough to interpolate a 3D volume in any 3D modeller I've ever used. So the "minimum of 3 paths" is simply not true.
So, I'm left with the question why is "New Volume" from layers greyed out?

Vanishing Point filter, export for After Effects (.vpe) is disabled

I am using Photoshop CS6 Extended (ver 13.0). I can apply the Vanishing Point filter to a jpeg still and set/apply the planes but the Export For After Effects (.vpe) command in the drop-down menu within the VP window is greyed out. I understood this filter is a feature of the Extended version. Can anyone help explain why this is disabled? Much appreciate any advice.

OK. Photoshop is at using your GPU. I'm not over flash at reading a lot of the System Info, but I think you have alternative graphics on that system. Do you know if you can switch graphics? Does your monitor lead plug into the mainboard, or a PCIe card?   Bottom line is you need 512Kb of video RAM.

Regards switchable graphics, if you are using a PCIe card, you might be able to disable the onboard graphics in BIOS, but my gut feeling is that as Preferences is seeing your GPU OK, the problem might be insufficient video RAM. Have a good read through the FAQ linked above.
