Avatars, fix your code

I posted about the issue some are having with selecting an avatar & only aliens being available even though there are other options showing to pick from.
I took a look at the code on the page & find mistakes that make other avatars unavailable for selecton
Yes, this is copy/paste & it's long but it's the reason only aliens can be selected, at least that's my view.
I've tried different browsers and the same result, please fix the code.

Thanks, if you look at the code (all of it, not just what I pasted) the only avatars in the code are Aliens. Not one single line in the code mentions the other choices. that's why we cannot select other avatars in my opinion.

Report Problem need to fix the code

I am new to apex, I was given a task to interpret the code and fix the problem.
This Apex application has a list of value where the user select the institution as a drop down list menu. After selecting the institution the main report below the drop down list will be populated based on the selection. The problem is that when the user insert record for standalone program, this insert don't appear on the report when the user select the instituion.

ran the code, got results
then set indep_degree to 'Y' on a row in your database
ran the code again and saw the results you are looking for?
If true, your code is working and should operate the same in APEX.
So if your code is working, we need to understand what processes are running on the form and when they are firing.

I appreciate your answer. While it might work, I'm a bit hesitant to remove the other programs as a possible solution since they are all currently working.
With Acrobat 9 Pro failing with the OS 10.7 upgrade, I'm hoping that there is a less severe solution.
Since the trigger appears to be 10.7 and may have something to do with the discontinued support of Rosetta, I could be spending a few hours working on a reinstall without a change. Yes, it might work. The "might" is the part that makes me hesitate.
Is anyone else out there on OS 10.7 and running Acrobat 9 Pro? Any issues with anyone else?

      Here is my code. It runs okay, but when the dice rolls a 1, it doesn't jump to the next while loop. I need the program to go to the "while loop answer = 1" when the dice rolls a 1 from the "while loop answer = y". If you see my code, I did it by making the answer = "n" to make it jump to the next while loop. I'm sorry if my explanation is confusing. It's my first time asking for help here...

Hint: all your code does NOT have to be in one method. You have numerous loops some nested inside others. This is starting to get mighty messy and can be tidied up if you think about how you can break some of the code down into smaller chunks and place these into their own methods.

This alert is often caused by a perceived security issue due to higher than expected security settings.
-checking if date and time is correct will usually fix this issue.
also, it may help to disable your security sofware.

Sun Creator removes your code ?

I am new to Sun Creator and i have an issue i can't understand.
Somewhere in my code i use a FileFilter and i have specified the class as a typecast, see code below :

It works fine. The only problem, that's actually driving me mad, is that as soon as i change anything in my JSP page in design time, Sun Creator brutally removes "javax.swing.filechooser." preceding "File Filter".
Compiling then naturally results in an error "Reference to filefilter is ambigious, both class javax.swing.filechooser.FileFilter in javax.swing.filechooser and class java.io.filefilter in java.io match".
Is there any option to turn this "code massacre" off ?
Please anyone advise.

I've worked on a lot of languages for over 8 years now. I've started java for some time. Never had any problem writing pure java code. Even now with sun creator i always achieve my goals. The IDE is not bad, though far from being the best thing i have seen, BUT I never thought that Sun would publish such a BUGGY product. The IDE is full of bugs, i've almost found 9 really bad ones and there are more than 100 to be found on reviews. I must say never thought that an IDE made by Sun could be so poorly unstable.
you make changes on jsp page, and you can lose 10 minutes rewriting and formatting your code, EACH TIME ! (even without the formatting options non sense)
how can an IDE come to a situation to have duplicate object id in the project ??? Only had to create a checkbox in a datatable, compiled, deleted the object then recompiled and i had to manually change the jsp page in build directory in order to remove it and correct the problem or the whole project would not compile anymore.
cleanup project one could ask oneself what this is for, caused it makes things even worse
etc etc etc i see no way to equip 5 people in my department with such an buggy-toy IDE.
Does anyone know of other bug/issue fixes than "118941-01" and "118338-04" ?
If not i will need to think about sth else like using eclipse.

Well, putting all that Java code into a JSP was a bad idea in the first place, just on general design principles. But you've done it in such a way that the result of compiling the JSP is malformed Java code. Frankly I would just throw it away and put the Java code into a servlet or some other Java class, where it belongs.
But if you're really working in a place where nobody has learned anything since 2003, and you're forced to support that old junk, then I would point out that the error occurs before the place which generates this line:
import java.util.*;You only need to look at two of the thousand lines of code you posted.

SQL Developer 4.0 Early Adopter 2 - avoid "Please amend your code to something like this" message

When I edit PL/SQL packages or sql queries in SQL Developer 4.0 Early Adopter 2,
when i copy/paste SQL code, sometimes "Please amend your code to something like this: "select * from when", or "begin when; end;" appears.
Sometimes SQL Developer freezes.
Can I avoid that message (turn off some kind of checks in SQL Developer properties)?
