VApp for web-link

I am try to create new thin app. Technicality it's not an application, it's web-link to internal Application (IIS) server. But this link has requirements for specific browser (IE9) and Java version. We are replacing all computers from XP to Win 7 and standard build have IE11 and way newest JRE that this app needs. How can I create vApp in that case. What should be an original stage and final stage? Thank you.

that is clear. I don't understand the steps.
1. I'll build new VM with XP, IE9, JRE
2. Will make original snapshot from that VM.
3. Then I suppose to make some changes.
4. Snapshot the changes.
I just don't see what should I do in step 3. Or am I missing something.

We are generating PDF out put of the report.We have java application which make uer to intract with reports and giving parameters.Now we need to implement an option. A hyperlink from pdf whch will popup a window and with another page.Our web page is having 2 frames.onleft frame menu and the right frame will contain the report. But when i clicked the link the new page is coming in whole window. So to get the frame the user need to use back button of browser.I tried with target=_new adding to the link . We are creating hyper link using srw.set_hyperlink function. i tried with srw.sethyperlink_destination function also.
The environment is oracle report 9i.
If any body know the solution pls reply.

For Acrobat 7 there is the new javascript method "app.launchURL('mywebsite.com')" which will open a new browser window (not necessarily your default browser but IE on Windows OS).
To make your PDF backwards compatible you can use the following JS

Link Colors: Here you can change the default colors for Web links. Click on the color samples to select colors.

Hello. I apologize if this has been answered, but I searched to the best of my ability, and none of the answers I saw applied to this question. They all seem to say that I should set ITunes up as my default Internet music player, but that option doesn't seem to exist any more. I've seen things that tell me to go to preferences -> advanced -> general, but that general tab isn't there any more. I can't find a setting for "internet music player", so I thought I'd ask here. I recently uninstalled Winamp because of various annoyances, knowing that ITunes can do everything it could do and more. However, now, pls links won't play from either IE9 or Firefox. I can download the pls file and play it that way by just double clicking it. I've used the "Default Programs" method recommended for Windows 7 to make ITunes the default player for these files, and it works perfectly until I try to click on a web link. When I save the pls file, the "File Type" combo box to the right of the file name edit box says "Winamp .pls file". I'm guessing that the browsers are checking some other area and are finding Winamp as the pls player, trying to find it, failing, and returning to the web page with no error. How can I fix this? ITunes works perfectly except for web links. I can't tell by trying other files because I have plugins that play all the other files I have found. How do I make ITunes do this?

Hi, Ed2345. I apologize for clicking the "Correct Answer" button accidentally. Firefox already has ITunes listed as the default player for "Winamp playlist files" which are .pls files. I've gone to a few radio stations, some with AAC streams and some with mp3 streams and the results have been the same. ITunes should be starting for these Winamp playlist files, but that's not happening. How can I add the equivalent of a file extension setting in the browser? These seem to be organized by MIME type. Can I add an extension handler, or perhaps is there a MIME type missing? If so, how do I add it in Firefox? I don't see a "New" button.

How do I change mail web links to Firefox?

Was having a lot of problems with Safari, so I deleted it and am using Firefox. Now links to websites contained in incoming mail won't work, I presume because they are directed to Safari. How do I change them?

Well, now that you have deleted Safari, you cannot do it the easy way! To do this with Safari installed, you would only have to launch it, open the Preferences… dialog, press the General pane and select FireFox from the drop-down menu labeled Default Web Browser. That's no longer an option with the application removed.
Rather than delete Mac OS X applications, by the way, it's better to leave them in place because of the shared frameworks they have in common, the interrelationship of—for example, such applications as iCal and the Address Book, iSync and .Mac Sync—and the difficulty posed in the future applications of Mac OS X updates because one or more applications are missing or have been moved from their default location. In short: don't try to 'outsmart' OS X.
To address this issue, you should download the RCDefaultApp utility from rubicode, which is available here:
http://www.rubicode.com/Software/RCDefaultApp
It will install as a System Preferences pane. Launch the System Preferences application, select Default Apps, press the internet tab if it is not already selected, and select Web in the scrollable box on the left. The drop-down menu on the right will allow you to select the default application for web links.
You may enjoy exploring this plug-in, but be careful: it's very powerful, and indiscriminate use can wreck havoc with your Mac OS X configuration.

Web link highlighted

I am using firefox web browser in Macbook pro. When i open any email or web page i see the links appear as green highlighted, i do not like this kind of appearance. I want simple appearance such as blue color for web links or other links. Some time start of the link has right mark with filled in circle around it.
I do not know it is the trouble with web browser setting or MBP. I cannot see this kind of thing in mail application. Therefore it must be with web browser setting

No, the Import PDF feature allows you to save a new version of your PDF form that has a "Submit" button that submits the data back to FormsCentral which is available for you to view, analyze and manage on the View Responses tab. It does not provide a "web" version of the form.
In order to make the PDF form available online you will want to create a link to download the PDF and instruct users to fill it out using the free Adobe Reader (or Acrobat), you do not want to allow the PDF to be opened inside of a web browser as that will not work for most users. Changing the icon for saved Web links.

Im trying out different forum topics to see if anyone can help and I thought this would be a cool thing to do and might be doable with an applescript.
I save a lot of web address as files to go back to later and I find the default @ icon for firefox or the blank icon for safari pretty appalling. I was wondering if there was a way to change the icon so that when ever I save a new link file it would use the new icon. I was thinking about just an icon that has the Firefox, safari, chrome logo would be good or even better a little picture preview of the web page its self. Any help on this little idea I have is very appreciated

I had a few web link files in a folder and the script RAN the INFO window popped up but nothing changed.

Web link work around for Pages

As of March 2014 Apple hasn't fixed the Export to PDF preserving web links bug! Pages 5.1 build 1769. This means that any PDFs you create from Pages won't have clickable web links past the first page.
Here are the work arounds that I have found so far.
In Pages keep your document to 1 page. Web links on the first page are fine.
In Pages 5 choose File > Export > Pages '09 and then on your Mac if you have an older version of Pages '09 in your applications folder, open it and open your exported file. Now when you export the PDF the web links will be there. If you don't have the older Pages '09 see the next solution.
Use a free web tool like PDF Escape to recreate the web links. PC like interface and you have to be careful to not leave the web page or you'll reset everything, but I found it was really helpful in copy/pasting the web links from Pages to PDF Escape. Didn't seem to work with HTTPS links, but others were fine. http://www.pdfescape.com
If anyone sees an inexpensive or free solution on the Mac App Store please share. Adobe Acrobat Pro CC or CS will also work, but it is too expensive for most folks.

i don't know about handling the multi tier issue but you can easily put an instance into the ServletContext that keeps track of the associations between users and sessions and can react accordingly.

Creating Thumbnails for web page links to larger images.

I want to create thumbnail images for linking to web page linking to enlargements. I'm using PhotoShop Elements 2.0 on a Dell 2400, XP Home Edition with 512mb RAM and 35gb storage available.
The language I read in help sections doesn't addressed the issue I want help with. I believe it addresses saving thumbnails for Windows and Mac using .tiff or .psd format, not the .jpg or .gif I need. It seemed like there should be a way to change the thumbnail format. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Open your image, click the bar at the top of the displayed image &
reset the size to what you want, then 'File', 'Save for Web' & save as
.jpg or .gif. .jpg gives more options for reducing file size so that

External links in Business package for web editing

We are testing Busines package for web editing (BPfWE) for 2 requirements: to show web content in portal and also to show external links in portal.
But we have problem with the latter (external links). Does anyone know how to add external links (web pages from different server) to BPfWE so we could browse internal and external web pages at one location? The problem is, that I can create new external link in Knowledge management, but unlike other documents, I can't publish it to BPfWE.
So far, we've found 2 solutions:
1. Separate BPfWE content (use it for internal pages) and classic Knowledge management content (use it for external pages) with different navigation tabs.
2. Create HTML document with javascript to open external web page and publish it with BPfWE.
But both solutions are quite strange and I still hope that external links could be shown in BPfWE as well and in some easier way. Could someone help?
