Variable issue in BO-WEBI

Dear BO Experts,
We have 6 Bex querys in BI with OLEDB Parameter selected.
We created BO-WEBI Document and in this Document we inserted 6 Reports.Each report we have one Bex query attached.
For 6 queries we have common variables.when we open BI Workbook we can see only variable once.
From Date
To Date
Cost Center
But when we opened BO-WEBI, report asking us to enter variable selection 6 times i.e 6*3 = 18 times.Is there any option in WEBI which common variables can seen only once like we have property in BI Workbook.
Please suggest us.Your quick reply is appreciated

We are using Bex not universe.
usa same prompt text in all 6 queries. you can edit the filter objects in the universes to change the prompt text.

Default value of BeX customer Exit variable not Displayed in WeBI??

Hello Experts,
We are stuck with a problem where WeBI report is created on top of BeX query and we are not able to see the default value of Bex Customer exit variable in WeBI run. Here is the complete scenario:
1. One restricted KF is created in BeX, restricted with Customer exit variable on net Due date. And this variable is mandatory, ready for input, and Default value in calculated is user exit as current Week's Monday.
2. So, by default KF data should be restricted to Monday of current week, if user does not change this value.
3. Now, WeBI report is created on top of this Bex query, and all is working fine, i.e. we are getting variable as Prompt in WeBI, but Default value is not shown while Running the Webi Report.
So, need your inputs on the same, if default values from BeX in WeBI is supported or not? If yes, why this is happening, and how to resolve it?
Please notice, the restrcition is in KF only, it is not a separate restrcition on Net Due date in Filter area or in Defualt area of BeX
and we are on SAP BW 7.1 and BOXI 3.1 SP4.

See 1285993 - Support of Customer Exit Variables from BEx query into WebIntelligence via OLAP universe
WebI will prompt when executed, but the default values calculated by the user exit - do not appear.
Note: If the BEx variable has property 'ready for input' set / enabled, then its WebI prompt shows ok, but no default value appears.
Cause
This behaviour expected 'by design' (in the context of the product's current limitations) as explained in the online guide below:

Characteristic variable > processing type > Customer Exit is "Supported, without user entry"
--> This should be understood as meaning "User will not be shown a prompt"

I am having issues with my web module on Lightroom 4 (Mac OS 10.9.5). "an unknown error occurred" while trying to upload to my FTP (no changes in my FTP). Substitution Variables Not Working in Web Analysis

DISPLAY variable in R12 Forms/Web tier

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to clarify something about the DISPLAY variable in R12 Forms/Web Tiers. Is it necessary to have DISPLAY variable set to an active X session(Vnc) server session on Forms/Web Tiers? I understand that we need to do it for CM/Report/Admin tiers. Please confirm.

Removed variable still shows up in the variable screen of a Web report

Hello,
I am using a variable screen in a web report. I changed the variable on 0CALMONTH, but I still can see the old one. Two variables now show up. In Bex, only the new one can be seen.
Does anyone knows the reason for that? I'm using BW 7.0 with the 3.5 reporting functionalities.

i'm sorry, it's not datasource... it's dataprovider
    delete the dataprovider from the the HTML Code...you could see the DataProvider in <Object>... </Object>
suppose let us assume that you have DataProvider and DataProvider. you are not using DataProvider3, delete from the HTML code.
delete this block from HTML.

Web Template - Variable & Export to Excel Web Items are not working

In a Web Report & Web Template Variable & Export to Excel Web Items are not working ; Any body have any idead ?

Dear Karuna,
Review your default template. Probably is 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.
Reactive the version D and check again.
Also, you are able to modify the webitems on Export to Excel on 'BUTTON_TOOLBAR_2' -> Button list number 4.
And, you are able to check the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_EXPORT, in case of configuration.
If you want to remove/add new items, I suggest you to save as another name. SAP does not allow to modify delivered objects
ex:. 0Objects.

System PATH environment variable issue when user log off and log in or switch from admin to non-admin account

Problem Description:
After installing my new product version, when user does log-off and log in again into admin account
or switch from admin account to non-admin account, PATH environment variable shows incorrect path of my product (previous product version’s path) using command prompt.
It seems windows refresh issue during session changes (log off and log in / switch from Admin to
Non-admin account).
Why PATH environment variable is not refresh immediately after log off and log in again or Switch
from admin to non-admin mode?.

I wouldn't have any expectation of what you are doing to work the way you expect. E.g. why is the %ABC% being replaced at all? There is some help about this ambiguous scenario in the cmd help...
/V:ON Enable delayed environment variable expansion using ! as the
delimiter. For example, /V:ON would allow !var! to expand the
variable var at execution time. The var syntax expands variables
at input time, which is quite a different thing when inside of a FOR
loop.
/V:OFF Disable delayed environment expansion.
So, what's the setting for the /V: switch that your users would be using? Perhaps you should be using the ! instead of the % for your ABC variable?
Oh. There's more below where I found that...
Delayed environment variable expansion is NOT enabled by default. You
can enable or disable delayed environment variable expansion for a
particular invocation of CMD.EXE with the /V:ON or /V:OFF switch. You
can enable or disable delayed expansion for all invocations of CMD.EXE on a
machine and/or user logon session by setting either or both of the
following REG_DWORD values in the registry using REGEDIT.EXE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\DelayedExpansion
and/or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\DelayedExpansion
to either 0x1 or 0x0. The user specific setting takes precedence over
the machine setting. The command line switches take precedence over the
registry settings.
In a batch file the SETLOCAL ENABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION or DISABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION
arguments takes precedence over the /V:ON or /V:OFF switch. See SETLOCAL /?
for details.
If delayed environment variable expansion is enabled, then the exclamation
character can be used to substitute the value of an environment variable
at execution time.
So, I guess the essence of your "bug" will boil down to whether you
need the feature to get the result you want and the
truth of that first sentence but it certainly looks like a "can of worms" to me. ; )

Web service Task - Value pair as variable issue

firstly .. I not an .net Developer.
We have scenario in which I have a execute SQL task which sends a set of rows with two columns as an variable (object) to a for each loop container.The for each loop container has the web service task and each time it runs.
The web service task accepts allows/accepts a single variable but I need to provide the above two columns as pair to this complex type.....any help is appriciated....

3rd ssis variable should be string.
The input variables have to be specified in the ReadOnlyVariables property. The output result variable has to be specified in the ReadWriteVariables property.
inside the script task
Dts.Variables("variable3").Value = Dts.Variables("variable1").Value.ostring() +Dts.Variables("variable2").Value.tostring();
Make sure before you are concatenating, both the values in the variable1 and variable2 should be string.

Display 2 reports in 2 tabs of one WAD web template --variable issue

We need to create one web template which contains 2 queries in 2 tabs in WAD. Each query has its own selection option. But after we create it in this way, the two queries selection option combined together in the initial screen.
This is not convenient because we would like to set different authorizations to these 2 query reports, some people only can access to one of these 2 reports. But in this case, they have to enter all the selection option for displaying only one report.
Is it possible to separate the selection screen for these 2 reports to 2 selection screens? Maybe it will be required to enter selection data when press individual tab.

Its possible that each tab can have different selection Screen.
In the Tab parameters :
First Tab: In command prompt,Specify "Call Variable Screen Dialog" .
Similarly do it for Second tab.
Now when open query..for each Tab,you will see a selection screen based on your data provider

Session Variables Issue

Hi, I'm putting together my first shop.
I have built and tested on
IE6, then upgraded to IE7 & Firefox 2 XP PRo
IE7 XP Home
All is well and the site works fine on the XP machines. Each
client / Browser retaining its own shopping cart information.
Allowing for different users to select items.
A friend has given me 2 old machines to build a testing
workstation for browser compatability. These are both IE6 Win98
machnes although 1 will be changing. Despite a few layout issues
all seemed fine. Until I added things to the shopping basket.
It seems IE6 now (at least certainly under Win98) cannot
persist the session data across pages. I'm not sure if this could
be related to how they are conntected together (using a 10/100
switch) or if there is a setting in IE6 which would prevent this
(not sure how this would be the case) or, more worrying, am I doing
something wrong. My session/cart information is based heavily upon
the CFMX7 Web Application Contruction Kit example. So I'm not sure
what I could have done wrong.
Here is the code below. Its using NAte Wiess' own CFC and
works perfectly in IE7 and I Think IE6 on XP

This is a very likely concern to investigate. For sessions to
work
correctly, by default, cookies must be enabled in the
browser. If the
browser has been configured to not accept cookies, then every
request
made from that browser creates a new session on the server.
If you want your sessions to work without cookies you can
pass the CFID
and CFTOKEN values that define an individual session through
URL
variables. This does take some work to make sure every link,
form and
any other interaction that generates a new request to the web
server
pass these values.
There are aides in ColdFusion to help you with this process,
check the
documentation for all the fun details.

Buffered variable values in the web

Hi,
As a follow-up to my last posting on the BPS Performance on the web, we have given a list of lower cost center nodes to our users (it did not solve the problem as we still have issues performance and we logged an OSS Customer message but it is a little better).
Is it possible to clear the last variable values a user selected from the buffer each time they open a new web application ?
Even if the first page of my web application only includes variables selectors and my layouts are on other pages it seems to take more time to open the first page with higher nodes.

SAP development has recently implemented a solution for "clearing" the variable i.e. setting it back to "All Values". The solution is described in SAP note 755459.

{Today} variable in content search web part

Hello,
I am having issues with the {today} variable in the SharePoint 2013 Content Search Web Part. I’m trying to get all list items that have a Start date greater or equal to Today.
I created a Search Managed Property called “NewsPublishingStartDate” (Date and Time type) and set the Content Search Web Part’s query to NewsPublishingStartDate>={Today}.
The problem is that list items are being displayed in the web part 4 hours before the Start date. As an example: items that have a Start date of April 18 will start appearing in the Content Search web part April 17 at 8PM.
Time zone for my web app was not set at first: I’ve set it to Eastern Time (US & Canada) and did a full crawl but I got the same wrong results.
What I am missing?

Hi,
As SharePoint stores all the DatetTme values in UTC time in the database, so the date value displays as UTC time zone in the search core results web part.
If you need to change the time in the search results web part, you can export the web part and then edit the code for converting the time to the time zone you want.

Selection Variable Issue

Hello All,
Web report is based on two selection variables and both are mandatory entry.
0CALMONTH: Customer Exit : Populated from customer exit code. By default always Shows last month i.e 04.2011
Spend Attribute: A002.
Recently it is identified by user that selection variable is popluated as below
0CALMONTH: Customer Exit : 03.2010 - last year - Incorrect value
Spend Attribute: A002.
I have checked all transport request if anything by mistake moved production but every thing is fine.
Somehow 0CALMONTH is populating like 03.2010 which is incorrect. Even I debugged in T-code /nRSRT, it is showing correct 04.2011 while executing the report
Please provide me some ideas to resolve this issue?
