Variable to choose which branch to build

When we do feature branches, we have to manually clone and change our build definition to point to the feature. Is there a way to set a variable to then select which feature branch to build when we queue a build?

Don't expect to find a file that configures the so called 'pointer' Enterprise Manager creates a directory where it stores the configuration under a directory named sysman/conf. In your particular case I see you have three instances which have been configured to be managed by Enterprise Manager DB Control Console, the name of your host is m92364 and the three instances are OMFTESET, orcl and TEST. So you only need to change the ORACLE_SID environment variable to 'point' to each oracle Enterprise Manager configuration; actually you don't perform any other task, it is the oemctl command who performs this on your behalf.

Is it possible to choose which telegraph pole serv...

Previously a BT Infinity customer, but having moved to the next road i was told Infinity is not availible, however I noticed the one of the other flats in the building has BT Infinity. When i traced the feed into the property I noticed it was originating from another telegraph pole to the one that supplies mine. When placing the order for a home move I mentioed the above and asked to be connected to the other telegraph pole, to which the reply was no as you are already connected to the other non-infinity enabled pole. I even offered to pay the new line install cost just to have access to infinity but again BT said that it was not possible. When BT Openreach attended to connect up the existing line they said there was plenty of spare capacity on the Infinity enabled cabinet/pole and to supply my property from this pole would pose no problem. So surely rather than BT loose the extra revenue by downgrading me, surely the answer would be to move me to the other cabinet/pole? but it seems that option is not possible due to the fact BT are unable to request a specific cabinet/pole connection with Openreach. I then raised this a complaint to which I was given the same answer and that I just had to wait until my cablinet was upgraded. Surely such a simple task of running a new line from a spare circuit in the Infinity enabled cabinet to my property wouldnt be a problem for BT? but on this occasion common sense has been overwritten with the 'computer says no' software. Any one else has the a similar issue? and maybe a solution? many thanks

if you have a phone connection the openreach do not move lines. ordering a new line will just get a new line fron the same pole.
it would get chaotic if everyone could choose which pole they wanted for their conenction. this has been asked on the forum before

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not.

Is there a way to migrate info from one mac to another and still be able to choose which apps you want taken?

I have an IMAC and I want to transfer some of my applications to my newly referbished Mac Book Pro. The problem is that when I use Migration Assistant, I am unable to choose which applications I want to migrate, the Mac Book is unable to migrate the entire library, due to the size of its hard drive. I hope there is a way do this. Help, Please!

Can I choose which iWork documents to store on iCloud?

Hi,
I was wondering if I can choose which iWork documents to store on iCloud? I have a lot of iWork files on my work Mac but I don't want them all on iCloud, just a couple that I'm currently working on, so that I can easily access and edit them when I'm at home or on the road.

You are free, if you want to store your iWorks documents in the cloud or locally on your mac. The file choser dialog, when you are saving the document, will let you save it either in iCloud or in a folder on your mac. If you later change your mind, you can move the document between your local storage oand the cloud.

The file choser when saving a document. iCloud is the default, but you can select any of your favorites.

Can I choose which season artwork is used for display over the whole TV show?

I have a TV show with multiple seasons and multiple album covers, but iTunes chooses one to display over the whole show list that I don't like. Is there some way to choose which season cover is displayed over my whole show, you know, WITHOUT changing all the album artworks of all the episodes?

LaunchPad-Control was very useful to do exactly what you want on OS X Lion the developer has stated that there are problems when running on Mountain Lion and will not provide any support.
Your only option now is to create folders with related applications. Click on an application in Launchpad then drop it onto another thus creating a folder then rename the folder to something meaningful.

Is there an equivalent in Lion to the PC configuration system where you can choose which programs are startups , delayed or manual

Help, I want to be able to choose which programs I wan tot run at start up because after 6 months of usage it takes about 2plus minutes for a cold system to start up and 5 seconds to shut down. I wan tot speed up the startup and I think I have to many programs runnning at startup. On my PC I used to control that from sys config,is there an equivalent in Lion.

Go to System Preferences/System/Users & Groups. Click on Login Items and add or delete the apps as you choose.

Can i choose which photos to put on iCloud?

My iCloud account is full. I would like to choose which photos, etc. are exchanged between my devices. I have a son who also puts his photos (quite a few of them) on my Mac, and I don't want them to always show up on my iPhone. Turn of automatic uploads in iPhoto by going to Preferences>Photo Stream and unchecking it. Then you can beging manually adding them to photo stream as described here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmd946962 under "From iPhoto or Aperture".

Can I choose which programs or apps upload data to iCloud?

My iCloud account tells me that my 5GB are full (that's right from the start when I updated the software to iOS5 :-S) Well, I noticed that there are actually just a few apps that I would want to make data backups for in iCloud. Can I choose which programs use that function? The only option I found so far is to turn the data backup function off or on, for ALL the apps. But I only want to use it for a FEW ones! Is this supported in iOS5??
PS. How come it gets full so quickly? The programs that uses most data (Hipstamatic for example) use only barely 0,5GB. So what I can see the 5GB shouldn't be full yet. What have I missed?

I think starting from the second home screen, the new app will be placed in the first available space. If this is the case, you would be able to control the placement manually by making sure your landing screen has empty icon slots and all previous screens, with the exception of the first one, have all of the icon slots occupied. I did run across an app that seemed like it would allow the user to create placeholder icons on the home screens but I can not think of the keywords to pull it up now. There are several icon creators/enhancers that may do the same thing. You can use one of these apps or use the Safari button to Add to Home Screen, to fill up the screens. You could even use a folder to store and deploy your screen filler icons. It seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth but I do have my home screens assigned for different roles. Hopefully Apple will continue to refine the user interface.

How do you choose which blog to post video to?

we have two group blogs and need the students to be able to post video from podcast capture to both of them but need to be able to choose which blog. Any ideas?

In fact you don't...Pcp has a property named Group Short Name that define where a workflow posts (you find it in groupblog task) using this means you can post in only one podcasts blog.
They are multiples ways to "automatize" or make it easier:
1. Duplicate workflows: means you have multiple workflows doing same encodings,etc except groupblog, which posts, where you put $$Group 1$$ (previously defined and valued whith the short name of the group 1, group1 maybe,as a custom properties in pcp admin
2. Web controller can handle additionnal userRequirements, one could be name group and called still in groupblog by $$group$$ but users will have to type correctly their group name..source of errors to my opinion..
3. Post to user blogs: see there http://podcastproducer.org/forums/custom-workflows/218313196
4. Hotfolder: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1780728&tstart=0
(5). The best to me but don't exist yet: a dropdown list of groups a user belongs to in podcast capture and web controller to choose the destination group
