Variants class 200 and 300

what are the differences between the variant classes 200 and 300.
where we have to select 200 class and where we have to select 300 class in variant configuration.

Class 300 and 200 are both defined for the materials.class 300 is mainly used for a variant material used for variant configurartion.We can also classify materials under class 200 which do not have to be configurable materials.But allows to use the defined characteristics and restrict the usage for a specific purpose..

The class type determines whether a class can be used as a class item in BOMs. In Customizing for the Classification System, the Class node indicator must be set for the class type. In the standard system, class types 200 and 300 are defined for materials, and class type 201 is defined for documents.

Dear,
Class 200 is used in BOM as a class item. when you create a class, in the additionla data tabpage, if you delare it as can be used in BOM, then you can use this class item in BOM. Assign all the materials to the class in classification view so that the materials assign to this class are acts as a BOM items.
Class 300 is used to delare the material as variant configuation material with class and char. With class 300 and config profile we can control the behaviour of process in Sales order.
What I explained is in nutshell the apllication part. Please let us know if ypu need more help.

LSO 200 and 300... very urgen

I need to know LS200 compatiblity with which backend system...4.7 only or also with5.0 and 6.0.
Is LSO200 comatable with ECC5 and ECC6 also or for ECC 5 and ECC6 we have to use LSO300.

Class 200 is used in components of the variant material.
For creating a superbom you can use object dependencies or Classes instead of components with item category "K".
You can create a class of class type 200 and assign it to the materials in material master which will be used as bom components in the Super Bom.
For Example
You have a variant product such as Car.
and it has got components shuch as Blue body, Black body , Red Body.
Instead of putting it as different line item you put class item in the bom and put the color class of class type 200

On the tool's option bar, type 300 px & 200 px, and the desired resolution.

The settings in the system standard allow the planned order to be converted into a production order and in Repetitive Manufacturing it can be used as a run schedule quantity.

Procedure in Variant Class

Hi,
I have written a procedure to calculate some characteristic value. I am using batch specific UOM here. Material is configurable and is having both class (Variant and Batch class). Now when i am creating a PR and when i m trying to do the configuration then the value for the characteristic is not automatically calculated and not coming automatically. i have assigned the dependency to that characteristic and to the variant class both. But still the value is not calculated automatically.
Then i have tried the same dependency in the Batch class and when i m doing goods receipt then it is automatically calculating the required characteristic value.
Can u please tell me why the value is not calculating automatically. Below is the dependency..

Hi,
Assign the procedure to that characteristic in class, after filling which you want CD_CHAR_PL_WEIGHT_PER_PC to be calculated (let's say CD_CHAR_PL_THICKNESS). When you fill it and press enter - CD_CHAR_PL_WEIGHT_PER_PC will be calculated.

Enlarging PDF at 200% and more

I migrated from quark to Indesign a few months back and I found the program great, but it is one thing that I haven't been able to find
Basically, when I was working with quark and we couldn't make the file full size (because the dimensions were too big for the program), I was creating the file half size and then I used to print to file as an Adobe PostScript file enlarging it at 200%, and then converting it to a PDF in Acrobat Distiller.
From indesign (to enlarge the pdf) I tried to do the old fashion way, saving a PS and then converting it to PDF in acrobat, but unfortunately it didn't work.
I dont know how to create the PDF at 200% the size from indesign
Basically, I would like to know if I can enlarge pdfs (200%,300% etc) generated from indesign CS3, it is just because I am working with huge sizes

It also sounds like your preferences might be corrupt. I'm not having any trouble scaling a postscript file, either.

If you've done any program customizations you'll want to use the longer, manual, method of backing up by renaming the preference files, just in case it turns out not to help. That's explained in the comments.
Export any saved presets you created using the "define" dialogs before you replace preferences, and if you have default styles or swatches, put them into a blank document and save it somewhere first, too, so you can re-build those.

Assign variant class to service material for preconfigured service package

Hi,
Could somebody help with the steps on how to create a service material with variant. The requirement is to create a preconfigured service package.
I'm trying to create a service material and assign a variant class to it. Based on some examples in IDES, i see that in MRP 3 view there is a plant-specific configuration view which holds the variant check box and configurable material reference.
I'm unable to get that view while creating the material.

Hi Vishal,
From the PS perspective only one document type is allowed to be used for purchase requisitions. Therefore you can only maintain one in TA OPTT.
However, the SAP note no. 114213 gives an explanation of about how the document type is determined and shows where a modification to change this could be implemented.

Stopping Characteristic replication for R3 to CRM for class type NE 300

Now the Object ATTRIBUTE/CLASS/OBJCL are activated. In the filer for ATTRIBUTE, we have the below filter

We have not any class type 023 amd 026 in ECC and not sure why it was configured earlier (IN 2006) and in the note 618191-R/3 data exchange of classification data (class type 23).also they are saying 023.
Can anyone pl clarify.

PLANNED ORDER CREATION FROM SALES ORDER SAVING (REQUIREMENT CLASS 200)

Dear All,
By using requirement class 200, assembly type 4 (dinamic planned order) Iwould like that at sales order registration the planned order for the sales order material is created.
I have two problems.
The system doesn't schedule the planned order, even if the scheduling parametres are entered for planned order type (relation between routing id and planned order type).
So I have a planned order in which i have to manually schedule it.
The second problem is that the planned order is firmed at creation. I would like that it was not firmed to adjust by MPS procedure the components from BOM modification. Infact at the creation of the sales order The complete BOM is not defined, and I don't want to unfirm the planned order so run th mps procedure.
Can anyone answer to these questions?

1. You need to Give the appropriate check mark ( 1 or 2 ) In the capccity check of the requirement class configuration (ovzg)
For Firming
1. Since youare using dyanamic processing ""During dynamic assembly processing, you can not change the quantities and deadlines"
2. kindly refer the F1 help for the assembly type inthe OVZG.
