Various error mainly Err_300 or VC017 on website!

Over the last couple of days seen I have loads of errors watching BTSport.com mainly Err_300 which I cant even find an explanation for? VC017 nearly fell out of my chair reading FAQ to check windows time settings, yep my time has always been set to Microsoft time server (thats how microsoft installs it) and is correct!!
Silverlight is up to date, tried various web browsers and my default is chrome.
Every other instance of a website that use silverlight works, Sky Go, Lovefilm & Netflix no issues no errors. Even found a couple more to test inc msnmoneycentral, msn silverlightdrm test, bubblemark (lovely bouncing green bubbles!) they all work without a problem, error or glitch unlike BTSport.com .
I have tried unsetting my computer time from using time server, even changing it and resetting it (What a joke), deleted mspr.hds, tried all my browsers nothing but various errors on BTsport.com (only on BTSport, there is a theme here!), mainly err_300 and vc017 (thought various other VC and 60** errors). I have I managed to get a stream working last night by turning off hardware acc (which is not required to do for any other silverlight web site, so I turned it back on after stream started working).
This morning errors yet again same scenario everything works except BTsport.com (think I may have mentioned this before). I tried turning off Silverlight hardware acc still errors. left it for 10 mins and now watching Hoffenheim v Leverkusen and the phantom goal (great match btw). I have done nothing to my pc since the last test 10 mins ago!
When I watch BT sport about 90% of the time iits online either on PC or Ipad. The Ipad is pretty faultless which cannot be said for the website. Unfortunately the web site is getting worse, from occasional errors to pretty much constant errors. When it works the website stream quality is excellent better than skyGo but in its current error strewn form I wouldn't pay for subs. Thankfully I dont pay for subs and I certainly wouldnt be paying £12 a month for its current content, maybe £5-8 could tempt me (as long as website errors are fixed ) ) and that depends on next years Motogp coverage. Skyplayer (SKyGo early incarnation) use to be pretty flakey with Silverlight but Sky sorted it out with SkyGo so hoping BT can sort BTSport.com.

I have this same problem with VC017. The FAQ suggestion about resetting time server is hilarious. It's not that it is impossible that anyone has changed it, but is this really the most likely cause of the problem? The fact that it is in the faq to deal with this error code tells you that BT is just taking the **bleep**.
Silverlight works fine on every other website. I haven't received an error code for silverlight *ever* on this computer until I tried BT Sport. But BT's tech support wants to tell me it is my internet time server, cache, or browsing history that is the problem. Hilarious! They know less about Silverlight than I do! I was on online chat today with a BT tech and his suggestion was, get this, relog onto BT Sport. Then he gave up. I got the six step solution to the VC 017 error via email a couple of hours later (reinstall silverlight! even though there is nothing wrong with it!) along with a suggestion to pay for their supreme technical support.
Now I am seriously laughing. My experience with BT technical support, their "FAQs" and their "online suport chat" makes me pretty certain that I could make better use of my money by piling it up in the yard and lighting it on fire. This is an organization that has done everything in its power to convince me it has no idea what it is doing and it wants me to pay more for its technical support. Pass. I'll enjoy streaming services that are run by professionals on my way-slower-than-advertised BT broadband (not a single speedtest has come within BT's advertised range! but that's another-stunningly similar (its your firewall, which we know works perfectly fine in a rural Indonesian bus station, just not on BT!) story).

As it says, Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer all give the certificate error message for any and every website attempted - including the Firefox add-ons page. The specific error is the "no issuer chain was provided".
1) This problem is not on my computer - it is on my mother's computer in another city. Therefore, I cannot attempt every little possibility without flying over there - I'm looking for things I can tell her to do over the phone. The problem started today. 2) The problem started after she tried to use Skype, it hung for a very long time and would never log on. This is ridiculous, is Skype now putting malware on people's computers through these bogus 3rd party add-ons at installation? I suppose it is possible Skype was hanging because of some other problem - but she did manage to reinstall Skype and got it to work (but now her internet certificates won't).
3) She has BitDefender. I am aware that it says here:

that she should turn off SSL scanning. She turned it off, it did not solve the problem. She turned it off and restarted, it did not solve the problem. She has had it on for the past 6 months and it has never caused a problem.
4) In addition, BitDefender reported today that it stopped a malicious program called MySearchDial.exe from attempting something it shouldn't. We went through this removal guide:

however, the software MySearchDial was never actually installed into the windows install list, and we did not find any addons/plugins in any of the browser lists (note that Firefox add-ons cannot be accessed with a certificate error, it gives the error message but DOES NOT give you the option to add an exception so you can't access the add-ons). The only thing we found was (a) MySearchDial was default in the IE search engine list, despite there being no add-on, and (b) MySearchDial.exe was in the temp folder (now deleted). I note that I had BitDefender scan the temp folder *before* I deleted MySearchDial.exe, and it claimed no threats were found. What? It was BitDefender that warned me of it in the first place!
5) Time and date are correct.
6) Checked the Win 7 install log, only Skype, Skype Click-to-Call, and (for some reason) Mircosoft Visual Studio 2010 and Visual C++ were installed or altered today. I got paranoid about Click-to-call and asked her to uninstall it, but it didn't solve the problem.
7) The OS is Win7 64bit Home.
Anything beyond endless Malware removal programs (via list linked above) that we should try?

The only way to know what is going on is to retrieve the certificate and check who is the issuer. 
It is always possible that the server doesn't send the full certificate chain (intermediate certificates), so it might help to post a link to this website
Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section. If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

After Effects crashes on startup - Various Errors - Windows 7 64bit

After effects on startup crashes constantly on me. I get various errors, the newest is error code 1268; D_MCp_SetupExporterModule
Sometimes it is a dynamic link error, and sometimes there is errors.
If I actually get it to open and work, I'm usually OK until I close the program. At that point there is almost no way I'm getting back in without a reboot.
I've worked on this same machine for three years and had pretty good luck with every version of AE since 5.5.

If you're not on Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, you need to get it. SP1 is a minimum system requirement to run 13.1

During instalation of miniSAP I still have error "main" java.lang.noclassdeffounderror ... I have installed j2re1.4.2_08, even system variables are set to C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08\bin ... but the problem is still there ...

Various Errors in EEWB

Hi,
I am trying to create a project with an extension (to add fields at header level in serivce contract), but it is giving me various errors.
1. Extension could not be combined with a XYZ package.
2, I changed the package to another one jus for testing eventhough XYZ is required one for me. But, there also I am endedup with an error saying "CI_EEW_ORDERADM_H" could not be created in ABC package.
Now I am unable to delete these projects even.
Could you please help me out, how to handle these issues.
If I want to delete the extesnion or edit the existing extension(If I want to change the description of field), How Can I do these.
Please help me out.

Issues such as this may have a number of different causes. The first error (0xE) has an Apple support document to view http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3221
The timeout error could be caused by a conflict between the security and firewall software you are using and blocking connections, you can look at this document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125
When you say that you uninstalled and installed again, did you follow all of the steps in this Apple document? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 You need to make sure that you follow all of the steps.

Firefox gives me "Content Encoding Error" when trying to navigate through websites.

I have been having trouble when using Firefox. I am continually getting a "Content Encoding Error" when trying to go from my home page to another page or even just going from the main page of a website to link on that site. I can't access facebook, yahoo mail, charter, google mail or any site without getting the "content encoding error" message at some point when on these sites. I am able to use ff on other computers in my house without any issues. I can't even run ff in safe mode. When I try to refresh some pages I get a box asking me if I want to open the application or save it to my computer. I never clicked anything saying I wanted to open it, I was just trying to refresh the page to get back to where I was. Is there a way to go back to the previous version of ff to get rid of the problem? Does that even fix the problem? Can someone please suggest something that I haven't tried so I can fix my problem? I didn't start having these issues until I got (at the time) the latest version. It has been giving me trouble for about 2 weeks now. Thanks

Application errors in cf log even though website stopped in IIS

Hi,
About two weeks ago, Coldfusion 8.01 starting crashing on my windows 2003 server. It freezes up about 3 times a day, and takes all other non-cf sites in iis down with it. Once I restart the coldfusion application server, they all come back up.
I have no idea what is causing this, since the server, exception and application logs don't show any consistent errors at times of crash. The ONE thing I can find that is strange and repetitive is the fact that there is a website throwing tons of file not found errors all throughout every day in the application log. I went into IIS and stopped the website that was getting all of the errors, and the application.log errors for that site continue!
I can't figure out how this could be happening! Any ideas? Even if someone were trying to access the site that is stopped in IIS, those errors shouldnt ever make it to the coldfusion server.

Davey, you've really raised 3 issues. Let me offer some help with them:
1a) as for your trying to find the causes of lockups, I'll assert you're looking in the wrong logs (the "server, exception and application logs" that you mention). Instead, check out the more important \runtime\logs (or \logs\, if on Multiserver.) The -out log there will often have far more valuable information on why a server is crashing, and it's vital that you not just look "just prior to the crash", but instead find the first error that seems to start occurring before things go south. (Sometimes, once one problem happens, others follow and they can mask the real root problem.)
In many cases, the problem of CF crashing can come down to a memory error, but it may not be what you think. I talk about that (as well as more on the points above) in a blog entry: http://www.carehart.org/blog/client/index.cfm/2010/11/3/when_memory_problems_arent_what_th ey_seem_part_1
1b) Also, it can be vital to know what, if any (and how many) requests are running at the time leading up to the crash. There are many ways to do that, with various levels of detail, depending on what version of CF you're running (Standard or Enterprise) and if Enterprise, what form of deployment: Server, Multiserver, or war/war.
For those on CF 8/9 Enterprise, the Server Monitor can be very helpful.
For those on any release, in Standard or Enterprise Server deployment, the command-line CFSTAT tool (or same info in Windows Perfmon) can be very helpful. Google about it or see the CF Docs to learn more.
In any version of CF since 6, whether Standard or Enterprise, Server or Multiserver, the JRun Metrics can be helpful. Again, google or see the docs to learn more.
Finally, those on any version of CF since 6, whether Standard or Enterprise, Server or Multiserver, can also use third party monitoring tools like FusionReactor and SeeFusion. Where the CFSTAT, Perfmon, and JRun Metrics only provide gross numbers about how many requests are running, FR and SF (like the CF Server Monitor) can tell you exactly WHAT requests are running (each request's name, how long it's been running, the IP address of the sender, the user-agent, and much more, including details about what queries have run in each request, if that feature is enabled.)
2) You ask how a site can still be causing errors to the CF logs even with the site stopped. Well, maybe the requests aren't coming in via IIS. Maybe they're happening based on a scheduled task, or perhaps via the built-in web server in CF (though that would be somewhat harder to happen easily).
In addition to the tools above that can show you details about what requests are running, you can also check your web server logs to get more details about what requests have run (and FusionReactor also logs every request that runs, with still more detail than the web server logs).
There has to be an explanation. Things don't happen without a cause. Since this is what I do for a living (help people solve CF problems), I can tell you that the number of things that can happen is surprising, but then again nearly all problems are easily solved once you know where to look and can connect the dots. That's where sometimes experience certainly helps. In that regard, I'll say that if you decide you'd rather have someone "looking over your shoulder" while you try to sort through things, you can find more about my services in the signature below. But as you can see, I and others are happy to help for free here. Sometimes, it's just more expedient to get help directly. Totally your call.

IPod Classic not complete syncing various errors

Preface: I have two iPod classics. Wanted to get rid of of about 8000 songs and narrow it down to about 3000 which is what I currently have in iTunes. So I restored the first iPod (160GB), and synced it with iTunes no problem. Got all songs on there and should be working fine. Go to do the second one (120GB) and have nothing but problems. Been working on it for 24 hours on and off with no luck.
The main issue I am seeing is the "could not copy *song name* to the iPod because of an unknown error (-50)." This happens with various random songs. And it seems to usually lock up around song 360-380 when doing a transfer. Though I have seen it lock up on song one or two. With help from various recommendations online here is what I have tried (usually several times on each) with no luck:
Replaced the iPod cable
Restarted iTunes
Restarted the computer
Tried different USB ports (front, back, top) on the computer
Restored the ipod various times
Windows repair disk various times
Reformatted iPod via Windows
As I said before the first iPod synced fine so not sure why this one is giving me such a hard time. Have seen various other errors like "disk is not available", (-53), and other ones. This is driving me nuts! Any input on something else I should try would be appreciated.

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the Mac as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your Mac first.

Various error messages when trying to sync my Palm Pre with my OWA

I have read several of the postings and I believe I have tried everything. The odd thing is that it worked prior to me being married. When I brought the phone I just entered my work email address and password and it worked instantly. Then at the end of June I got married and changed my name. When I change my name with my company they gave me a new email address. And a alert popped up on my phone stating that I needed to change my info. So I put in my new email and the same password and it states that it can't validate the account information. So I tap to set it up manually. I put in my new username, the domain, the OWA web address, and the same password. And then I get the SSL Certificate Error: check the date and time. After discussing with our IT guys, I try all the various emails I have in the system (4 total: 2 due to a change in the company name last year and two due to my name change). I get the same SSL Certificate Error. Then I download the certificate from my computer to my palm pre and took the "s" off of the https:// as one of the posting suggested. and now I am getting "unable to validate account settings. Please check the settings and try again" message. I tried all the different email addresses again just in case it was an issue of my email address not matching the domain name, but I still get the same "unable to validate" message. I'm at a lost because it really shouldn't be an issue of the cert, because it worked perfectly fine before I got married and change my name. So I can only assume that it's an issue with my email address, domain, and username. But I've tried all of them and nothing works. And suggestions would be helpful.

I seemed to have figured it out...... I hard reset my Iphone and rebooted my computer and it seemed to work. It also seemed there was a music file that was not being recognized, I just erased it and everything worked fine after that.... very strange but I am so glad I figured it out.....

Error when downloading from a certain website. image scrambled. (kepguru.hu)

I have been downloading wallpapers from kepguru.hu for about a year, with no difficulty or errors. This (hungarian) site is successful and user friendly, even though I do not understand the language. 
About 3 weeks ago, this all just stopped working for me. I can access the website, view pages of thumbnails, and reach the big thumbnail stage. But when I click on download, and wait for the image to load, all I get is a partial, and scrambled image. In other words, it is as if the image has been cut into pieces and put back together in the incorrect order. 
I have tried almost every setting I can think of, including resetting Firefox....twice, with no positive results. If I opt to 'reload' the tab/page, Firefox tells me "the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors". (it is not possible that every one of the millions of images on this site can suddenly contain errors.) 
I have written to kepguru.hu directly enquiring as to whether there are problems with the site, and they have replied in the negative, and suggested I try a different browser. 
I downloaded, and tried Google Chrome and internet explorer. I have also tried Google, Bing and Yahoo as search engines and all these produce exactly the same results. 
I do not think the problem is with my computer, since I have 3 computers in the house all working independently of each other, and the results are the same on all of them. 
I am connecting by means of dsl/wireless router/wifi. My computer is protected by Kaspersky anti virus. 
I sincerely hope that there is someone who can help me find a solution to this problem.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

DA client getting with error Main mode SA assumed to be invalid because peer stopped responding.

Facing one issue with only DA client , it connects to Direct access for few seconds and then get disconnected.

How to make firefox remember the main web address of each website instead of it remembering URLs history?

Whenever you visit a website such as youtube.com and have searched for videos on the site, firefox remembers all these URLs the next time round you attempt to type youtube.com into the address bar. I find it frustrating because all I want to see is a neat list of websites beginning with the letter 'y' when I begin typing 'youtube' such as youtube.com or yahoo.com, etc. I don't want to see everything else otherwise it just looks messy - you end up having to click on one of the URLs to get to the site again or you end up retyping the main address out yourself (some main web addresses are long!).
Is there an option in firefox where you can have it only remember the main web address of the sites you have visited instead of all the URLs visited on those sites? I'm not talking about deleting the entire history, just for the address bar to remember a simple list of sites such as google.co.uk, yahoo.com, youtube.com, outlook.com, etc.
If something like this doesn't exist then I wish someone would give us the option to do that.

Pick a page you like for that site, then bookmark it. In the future,
just select the bookmark.

I get an error message when opening a secure website from a managed account

I get an error message that says that safari can't open a specific website, because it can't establish a secure connection. This is happening on a managed account with parental controls. It seems to only happen for secure sites. How can I fix this?

Be sure that your Date & Time control panel settings are correct.
Try a different Web browser.
Download the latest versions of your Web browsers.
If you still cannot make a secure connection, notify the contact listed on the affected Web site.
