Various Error Messages on Tiger

Hi, I use OS Tiger and I want to fix some irritating messages:
1.) I tried to delete the trash and got this dialog window: The operation cannot be completed because the item "MacOSClassic" is in use. What should I do to delete the trash?

3.) Whenever I use "Disk Utility" - "First Aid" on OS Tiger the following window contains: the normal Hard Disks on your Mac and the following two items:
"iDefrag-1.6.1.dmg" and "Yasu.dmg." What should I do to remove the two mentioned items above?

I'm most appreciative of your assistance BDAqua. May be it came from another hard drive as you're suggesting.
Well, let me tell the whole story: I have three(3)hard disks on my G4:
1. Hard Disk(main drive): I run both MacOS 9.2.2 and OS X Tiger on it.
2. 2nd Disk: I run MacOS 9.2.2 on it.
3. 3rd Disk: I run OS X Tiger on it.
Before the problem with OS X Tiger's Trash, I cleaned up the 2nd Disk and put the 2nd Disk's trash into the main Hard Disk/OS X Tiger Trash bin - to delete it there. That may be why the error messages on OSX Tiger keep coming up with "MacClassic" "MacOS" etc.
I created a monster on my Main Drive. What should I do about it? I couldn't have ever guessed that emptying the trash could be so troublesome.

This primary key is contained in an other (therefore not now existing) schema.
Seems acceptable :->
The <primary key> just reads <constraint_name> and not <schema_owner>.<constraint_name>.
This leaves me with the question:
Is it any possible to generate/register the required schema dependencies ?

I tried another schema referencing a not now existing schema (which doesn't seem to be the problem here).
Although the table did not contain any data:

Adobe Story Won't Open Due to Various Error Message

Hey there,
I'm trying to log in to my Adobe Story desktop application, but I continue to get first this error message upon opening the software:
[ErrorEvent type="error" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Unhandled exception Error: Error #3004" errorID=3004]
Then upon putting in my login info and pressing enter am stuck on the Adobe Story CC sign in page. It let me through once and then said failed to get user preferences. Any thoughts on how to get back in?

Various error messages when trying to sync my Palm Pre with my OWA

I have read several of the postings and I believe I have tried everything. The odd thing is that it worked prior to me being married. When I brought the phone I just entered my work email address and password and it worked instantly. Then at the end of June I got married and changed my name. When I change my name with my company they gave me a new email address. And a alert popped up on my phone stating that I needed to change my info. So I put in my new email and the same password and it states that it can't validate the account information. So I tap to set it up manually. I put in my new username, the domain, the OWA web address, and the same password. And then I get the SSL Certificate Error: check the date and time. After discussing with our IT guys, I try all the various emails I have in the system (4 total: 2 due to a change in the company name last year and two due to my name change). I get the same SSL Certificate Error. Then I download the certificate from my computer to my palm pre and took the "s" off of the https:// as one of the posting suggested. and now I am getting "unable to validate account settings. Please check the settings and try again" message. I tried all the different email addresses again just in case it was an issue of my email address not matching the domain name, but I still get the same "unable to validate" message. I'm at a lost because it really shouldn't be an issue of the cert, because it worked perfectly fine before I got married and change my name. So I can only assume that it's an issue with my email address, domain, and username. But I've tried all of them and nothing works. And suggestions would be helpful.

I seemed to have figured it out...... I hard reset my Iphone and rebooted my computer and it seemed to work. It also seemed there was a music file that was not being recognized, I just erased it and everything worked fine after that.... very strange but I am so glad I figured it out.....

Error message: "Item is being modified, please try again later"

I'm trying to buy Dhafer Youssef album "Digital Prophecy" from finnish iTMS. When i click "Buy Now" in my shopping cart, iTunes will give me various error messages,
"Item is being modified",
"Your shopping cart's contents have changed." or
"We could not complete your Music Store request. The server was not found."
I've bought several albums from iTMS before with no problems. I know for sure that there is no problems in my credit card or so. Also "the item" i am trying to buy, has been "being modified" for more than week already, so the problem must be somewhere else than just that it's price is being changed or so.
Anyone with a fix for this problem? I am running the latest version of Tiger, and all the latest updates from Software Update, both Quicktime and iTunes are as up-to-date as they can be.
G4 iBook & Mac Mini Mac OS X (10.4.3)

They've been having problems with various albums. it's listed at two different prices but appears to be the same album. Others who have had this problem have clicked on the review page and downloaded their selection from there. I don't see that for this selection.
Try to purchase the $7.92 version.

My ipod doesn't sync all the songs in my library and comes up with error messages. is the software corrupted?

My ipod classic only syncs 25% of the tunes in my library (it has the capacity to do all of them). It also comes up with various error messages. Is this a software issue that can be fixed??

I keep getting error messages when trying download a tv show in iTunes

I have been trying to download this for two days now, and I keep getting various error messages. The latest have been -3256, -42, -3271. All telling me to check my network connection (which is working just fine) or telling me that there are too many files open (even when iTunes was the only thing open). I've restarted iTunes several times, and I've restarted my computer twice as well, but it still comes up. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I really would like to watch this video I'm downloading.

This could be an issue with security software (firewall, anti-virus, etc) on your computer conflicting with iTunes. Either disable the software or configure it to properly run with iTunes:

I don't really use iTunes that much, but I use my iPhone ALL the time and would like to upgrade my iPhone software. Unfortunately, I have to have iTunes 8.2 to do that.
Is anyone from Apple listening?? There seem to be multiple posts about this problem. This is a very un-Mac-like problem.

Variious error messages upon connecting to iTunes

I'm once again frustrated beyond explanation.
Every time I connect my iPhone to iTunes, I get various error messages:
"iTunes cannot read the contents of iPhone. Go to summary tab and restore this phone to factory settings"
I'll disconnect and reconnect and get this message:
"iTunes cannot sync blah blah blah because it cannot find the specified file".
"unknown error"
I'm at my wits end with this. I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled. I have wiped out my hard drive and reinstalled my OS.
I have various photos, music, contacts, text messages, countless other saved files lost forever because I had to erase the phone to factory settings and iTunes was unable to restore any of my backups.
Unfortunately, it's too late to return this phone to Apple, so I have to work with what I've got. Does anyone have any ideas?

So once again, I have erased my phone and am in iTunes setting this phone up as a brand new phone and not restoring from backup (not that it would let me anyway).
Now I'm getting:
"The iPhone cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found"
WHAT THE **** DOES THIS MEAN?
I just want to use my **** phone.
This is really getting frustrating!

Satellite L300D - Webcam error messages

I'm running Vista 32bit on a Satellite L300D.
I have recurring problems with the built in Chicony webcam. Basically it frequently stops working (I only use it with Skype), giving me various error messages but most commonly "Can't start video. Try closing other programs which might be using your webcam...". A restart of my laptop usually fixes it but only temporarily.
I have downloaded the Camera Utility software and drivers from the Toshiba website but it hasn't solved the problem.
Anyone out there who can suggest a solution, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks for the replies. I uninstalled all versions of the Camera Assistant software and uninstalled the webcam driver. I then used C Cleaner to delete old registry files. I restarted the laptop. I then downloaded and installed the webcam driver for the A500, and restarted when prompted. When the laptop was back on, the webcam software was working fine, and so was Skype (as always happens after a restart). However, I'd read elsewhere online that this bug is to do with when the laptop goes to sleep, so I turned it onto sleep, and then back on again... and I get the same error message on Skype and the webcam software tells me "Web camera initialization. Please check your camera device and restart application or computer."
So, any other ideas as to what the problem might be?

Error message after trying to install Tiger on a B/W G3

I've tried several times now to install OS 10.4 Tiger from the black install DVD onto my B/W G3. Every time, it gives me a error message saying there were errors during installation and to restart. I've got 512-640 MB of RAM (I've removed one after market 128 RAM hoping that would help). I upgraded the HD to a Maxtor 200GB a couple years ago. I'm at a loss as to where to go from here. We just got new iPods and can't even load them until this OS is upgraded. Other than buying a new Mac, what can I do to resolve this issue?

I would, but I don't have it on CD. I finally got the drives switched and the drive was ready to be rebuilt when DW gave me an error message saying there was a file open on the HD. I've basically figured that it is beyond repair until I can get my files backed up and reformat the drive.
In the meantime, my brother is going to give me his iMac G5 and upgrade to a new Mac.

Error message when trying to upgrade from 10.3.9 to Tiger 10.4.5

Hope somebody can help. I'm fairly recent to macs as have always built and used pcs. Am having trouble upgrading from current pantherOS to Tiger. Bought emac with upgrade disc provided by seller. Disc was gray labelled emac. Installation went fine and everything was proceeding to point it finished writing files, configuring installation, and running installer scripts and then it quit with message: error installing software. Try reinstalling.
Tried reinstallation and same thing occurred. then Tried complete erase and new installation. Same error message.
Came to discussion group searching for something I might be doing wrong. Decided maybe disc was wrong even though it specified emac which is what I am using. Bought generic install disc that would install on any G3/4/5 with minimum specs per hardware which system met.Installation proceeded as it was going to install same as emac disc. This is normal full install disc for generic installation.
All installations screens came up and installation proceeded to same point as before and then quit with same message: error installing software/ Try reinstalling.
Have removed ram to original 256MB and tried. No luck. I am using external DVD for installation of DVD and wonder if this is problem but in the forums external DVD seems to work alright. Can reinstall old Panther OS without any problem
Ran hardware test and everything checked okay.
Should I just forget about upgrading and use 10.3.9 but would really like to know what is wrong. thanks. Rick

Error message when upgrading to Tiger

Hello,
I have an iMac G5 running 10.3.9 and I'm finally getting around to upgrading it to tiger. I've installed everything in software update, so I should be completely up to date, and I have all the RAM and hard drive space the apple support page says I need. Whenever I restart my computer with the system install CD, however, the error message appears: "ALERT: This software cannot be installed on this computer" and I can't get any further than that. The very latest firmware updates are for computer running system 9, aren't they? I can't think of why I'm getting this error.

Rosasharn, welcome, the computer is questioning the validity of your CD. Is it a full retail version of Tiger? Where did you get the CD? What color is the CD? And what does it say?
