Various images get loaded into my All Images folder involuntarily

My macbook air downloads various images into my All Images folder. I have to manually go through the folder and put them in the trash. For instance it copies the Facebook logo over and over or images from websites I visit. How can I avoid this as it eats up my storage? Thanks.

How large are the images?
Not sure I understand the rest of your question - your card show show as an icon on the desktop and you can just drag the pics to a new folder, import them into iPhoto or a number of other apps.

Why does [i]entire[/i] rt.jar get loaded into memory?

We're developing under JDK 1.4-beta2 and are close to releasing to in-house use of our application. One thing noticed is that the entire rt.jar and other jars get loaded into memory equalling ~45MB !! I am amazed if this is 'normal' behaviour. Are we missing some tweak or option grossly obvious or well known?
Even a simple Hello World test program loads in the entire rt.jar.

CCM: More than two items in catalog are not getting loaded into CCM

Hi All,
We configured CCM to our client and working fine, but we are able to upload only two items. when we add third item or more items to catalog, these are not getting loaded in to CCM (The catalog is loading find and there is no problem when loading).
The log shows green, but items are not there in CCM.
Is any one faced similar problem?
How can we export master schema from CCM to desktop?

Portal events are not getting loaded into the Analytics database tables

Analytics database ASFACT tables (ASFACT_PAGEVIEWS,ASFACT_PORLETVIEW) are not getting populated with data.
Possible diagnosis/workarounds tried:
-Checked the analytics configuration in configuration manager, Enable Analytics Communication option checked
-Registered Portal Events during analytics installation
-Verified that UDP events are sent out from the portal: Test: OK
-Reinstalled Interaction analytics component
Any inputs highly appreciated.

Key words from the error msg suggests reinstallation of Analytics is needed to resolve this.Analytics database is failing to get updated with the correct event mapping and this is why no data is being inserted.

Why do my HD movies get loaded into i-movie HD so small?

When I import a quicktime movie (HD quality 1920x1080 movie from a DSLR) it converts the movie into a smaller less quality version for editing. Is there a way to edit the movie and keep the original size? I know there are options to save in HD so what am I doing wrong? It's driving me crazy!... please help.

I think I figured it out.. didn't see that you could choose what type when importing.

I had read on a post that leaving icons and folders on your desktop uses up Ram-memory. Is this true?

The file just takes up space in the Desktop folder on the hard drive unless it's a system element like a drive icon which resides in an invisible system component elsewhere on the hard drive. Applications typically store their custom icons in the application package itself. But regardless of where the icon is physically stored RAM is required to display the icon. So the size of the file represented by the icon is unrelated to the amount of RAM needed to display the icon. Most icons do not take up a lot of display memory. Once an icon is no longer being displayed but will be re-displayed shortly then the icon is cached on the hard drive so it can be reloaded quickly. The OS does this with everything stored in RAM if needed to free up RAM for another use. But this is not an icon thing. It has to do with memory management.

How is data loaded into the BCS cubes?

We are on SEM-BW 4.0 package level 13. I'm totally new to BCS from the BW view point. I'm not the SEM person but I support the BW side.
Can anyone explain to me or point me to documentation that explains how the data gets loaded into cube 0BCS_C11 Consolidation (Company/Cons Profit Center? I installed the delivered content and I can see various export data sources that were generated. However I do not see the traditional update rules, infosources etc.
The SEM person has test loaded some data to this cube and I can see the request under 'manage' and even display the content. However the status light remains yellow and data is not available for reporting unless I manually set the status to green.
Also, I see on the manage tab under Info-Package this note: Request loaded using the APO interface without monitor log.
Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

For reporting the virtual cube 0BCS_VC11 which is fed by 0BCS_C11 is used.
You don't need to concern about the yellow status. The request is closed automatically after reaching 50000 records.
About datastream - you right - the BW cube is used.
And if your BW has some cubes with information for BCS on a monthly basis, you may arrange a load from a data stream.
This BW cube I make as much similar to 0BCS_C11 by structure as possible -- for a smooth data load. The cube might be fed by another cube which contains information in another format. In update rules of the first cube you may transform the data for compatibility of the cubes structure.

My main index.html is an Edge animation. One object <div> is a box created within Edge. I have added an iFrame with the Edge code:

I actually had some success after many attempts with using your code. I can control the .stop() and .play() of the "NamePlate_sym" symbol. Yet, I am still having trouble doing anything else with it. I cannot .hide() it, nor use .html("Change text") on another element on the stage called"Rectangle". If I can accomplish that and all a global function on the stage, I'm in good shape.

Once I put window.parent. in the first two lines of code and the last, my test worked. As I mentioned earlier though, I still can't get the syntax correct to .hide() an element (i.e. comp.getSymbol("NamePlate_sym").hide(); does not work), or more importantly, change the innerHTML value of an element on the stage. The code either does nothing or freezes.

I had a requirement where I had to extract data from a planning application through ODI 11g and load it into Oracle RDBMS.
I used essbase as my source in technology (since planning data is stored on essbase side) and oracle as my target.
Now the data is getting extracted from essbase side and is getting loaded into Oracle table through ODI.
Now the client requires that they want to extract the explanations or text values also from planning application and load them into Oracle table.
How this can be achieved?Is there a table on the sql side(since sql database is being used at back end for planning app) which stores the explanations,if yes please let me know which table it is.

IKM SQL Control Append is perfect if you don't need incremental updates. If you need it, go for IKM Oracle Incremental Update (MERGE) or something like that.

Tab delimited file not getting loaded properly in OWB

I have create a flat file module and liked it to an external table in OWB, but out of 5000 records only 3000 are getting loaded into external table for tab delimited flat file.
Could any body has any idea how this is happening.

Hi Ram
Best thing to do is to configure the external table to have a log file name, bad file name etc.. and see the errors reported when you query the external table. This will help you identify the records in issue. If you reconfigure external table, redeploy the external table and then query the external table....read the log files etc. to see what is up, may be a data conversion issue in some records, or something completely different.

Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

EMF images embedded in Excel 2010 documents don't display when the same document is loaded into Excel 2013

I have a fairly large spreadsheet which creates layout floorplan maps based on a table of 3,000+ room locations and various cross-referenced attribute lookup tables which add flags & colour coding to the individual rooms. The maps also
include a few graphic elements beyond simple cells and borders, such as EMF images to indicate stairways, etc.
The sheet works perfectly on my Win7 desktop in Excel 2010:
However when loaded into Excel 2013 on my Win7 laptop, all of the images show as a red cross with the wording "This image cannot currently be displayed", thus:

What happens if you reimport the images from original source?
Try Running Excel Program firstly, and then open this file within Excel (File->Open).Also if you have Excel 2010 installed , try to open the file using Excel 2010, copy an paste the content to a blank Excel file.

Why do image links in my HTML signature get turned into inline images?

I have written a program to create HTML signature files for email programs at my workplace.
The signature file uses URLs to images hosted on a server. This appears to work fine, but I've noticed that when I send an email from Icedove (Thunderbird rebadged for Debian), the image links automatically get turned into attachments. These are then visible as base64-encoded MIME blocks in the email source.
I cannot find any option for altering this behaviour anywhere in the application, even in the Config Editor.
Can anybody advise me how to change this behaviour? Thanks in advance.

By default Thunderbird attaches all images, even if the <img> element points to a remote resource. Most e-mail clients block remote content these days unless the user authorizes it (see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/991448 this thread] for an in-depth discussion) due to potential privacy/tracking issues. Thus, the image your are adding as a remote resource may not display the first time the recipient opens the message.
If you want to change your code respectively anyway, have a look at [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_complex_mails_with_inline_images#Remote_images this article]. You'll have to add an attribute <img '''moz-do-not-send="true"'''> to the element which will Tell Thunderbird to ''not'' download the image from the server and embedding it into the message on sending.
