Various sites in use for long time now say certificate expired/not safe including this one
in trying to access many sites, a warning box comes up saying sites certificate has expired, some as long ago as 2007. This includes gmail, att and others including your own site when I sign on. I have to go thru the process of authorizing an exception
Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page to log you in automatically.
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server.
If this "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you and you will have to sign in once again.
You can remove this "remember me" cookie to make the website forget you and require you to sign in again.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

Ok, I'm now getting really annoyed with downloading Mountain Lion. I left my Mac Book Pro - 6 month old in download mode all night and nothing! I have started again and in 5 hours about 5%!
What is going on - Apple is this good customer service?It could be your Internet connection and not the Apple servers. I downloaded it again (although I already had the GM developer version) over a very slow Internet connection and it took about 3 1/2 hours. You can always pause and then resume the download - Lauchpad will let you know how your download is proceeding.

My Iphone has a problem with the microphone it doesn't seem to work! so there for i can't use Siri anymore.. this has been playing up for some time now. But as my wife & I had a baby 7 Months ago I have not found the time to pop in to the apple store until today (8/12/13) and they told me that they couldn't help as it's out of it's warranty by 57 days

Hi, Although I had itunes downloaded on my pc & been using for a while now, today I've been prompted to download itunes again. This has been successfull except that 65 songs that I had previously in my library are now no longer able to play, the message informes me that the original files could not be found. Yet these songs are still on my ipod after being syncronised and I can play them on my ipod. Please advise how I can find the original files on my pc.

CarolI would copy over the entire thing if you have room. With iTunes 10.4 though, you can download any previous iTunes purchases you have made in the past with your current iTunes account. While in iTunes, look at the left hand side of your screen and select "Purchases" and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Download Previous Purchases". If you have an iPhone, iPod and/or iPad...you can do the same thing from each device. Nice new feature...just remember that those ripped CDs need a back-up!!! Enjoy...

I've had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been connecting it to my laptop to sync any downloaded tunes from iTunes. Unfortunately, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do I now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?
If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.

I did put my SIM card into my replacement phone and Sha-Zamh lol! There are ez instructions as well when I logged into my Verizon acct. I clicked on "My device" then "switch my device" and followed just a few simple steps, with the final being switchin the SIM card, like you suggested. I think Verizon has to know what I was doing. ADDT is down a long time now - alternative ways?
Hi there,
I developed many sites with former INTERAKT products and ADDT. Now ADDT has been discontinued for a really long time and every two weeks I look in this forum but it seems that there really appears no comparable product anywhere... So what to do? I don't know... even because i'm more a designer than a coder I can't switch easily to a framework like Codeigniter which seems to be great.

For now i left out the DW5 version but for me that's no permanent solution... as I already miss the jquery-coding-support that was implemented in DW5...

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - go to your User/Libraray/Caches folder and move the iPhoto Cache folder to the desktop.
2 - launch iPhoto and open your book.
3 - now try to change themes.
The caches may be what's causing the hang up.

Custom web parts in SharePoint 2013 becomes inactive when the session is idle for long time.

We have a search center site with custom web parts and custom master pages. When the session is inactive for long time all the custom web parts in the page doesn't work, unless we close the browser and open it. Where as this is not the case with the
OOB web parts. We are not able to identify the root cause as it works with OOB web parts and not the custom web parts.We were able to find that by increasing the session timeout of the web application we can avoid this issue.We do not want to increase the
session timeout as the OOB web part works perfectly even when the user session is idle for long time.Is there any other alternative where we can acheive the same for custom web parts when the session is idle for long time?

According to your descirption, my understanding is that when the session is long time idle ,then custom web part will not work.
I suggest you check if you have enable the session in the Page Level in the web.config. By default SharePoint disable the session state.
In the web.config, you will see <page enableSessionState> tag. You can modify like below and test if it works.
<pages enableSessionState=”true” ….. />

How to stop process chain if it yellow for long time
hello all,
I see that my process chain is running for long time and is yellow for more than last 24 hours now. I can see where the chain is stuck(not going ahead).
What do we normally do in such scenarios?
Also one more question I have is about delete PSA request process variant. Can i use the same variant in two different process chains, is yes than do I have to include the name of the PSA tables that are in both the process chains. When the variant runs in 1st chain does it delete the PSA tables from the second chain as well..(i hope i made this clear)
Thanks in advanceOnce you have done with your init load manually. Then in case it was just the start of the process in ur Process Chain then first remove the chain from schedule and then go to the start process of the process chain and save the setting for immediate, uncheck the periodic box and save and then come out of the screen and then execute and activate the chain.
Note:
1. Before changing the setting in the start process make a note of the start time and also its periodic value.
2. Once the chain is completed then change the setting in the start process back to previous start time and periodic value.
3. Dont forget to save and activate the chain.

I'm trying to download itunes 10 but I get to a point in the download and it tells me, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" but I haven't had itunes on my computer for a year now so how can I get around this?

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
