The place where i am working has apps installed in IBM AIX server .. so how do i access Apps
or can i access Apps via TOAD.You will have to access the server using ftp to download the pll files to your local machine. TOAD can be used to access the database objects only (not the physical application files).

How to enable vat register tab in define reporting entities.
Navigation --> Italian AP Localizations --> EMEA vAT SETUP--> Define Reporting Entities .
Under EMEA VAT Reporting entities setup screen there are 3 tabs (configuration, Allocation rules, VAT Register).
We have to enable VAT Register..
Could you please help us on this.

1. Can you please check the method set_selection_mode in your context node implementation class?The code there should be along the foll lines:
IF iv_selection_mode IS INITIAL.
* multi select table if not specified otherwise
    CALL METHOD super->set_selection_mode
      EXPORTING
        iv_selection_mode = selmode_multiedit.
ELSE.
    CALL METHOD super->set_selection_mode
      EXPORTING
        iv_selection_mode = iv_selection_mode.
ENDIF.
2. You can set the selection mode as SELMODE_SINGLE or SELMODE_MULTI (depending on your requirement) via the DO_VIEW_INIT_ON_ACTIVATION method in the view controller impl class.

2. Find the relation with the report fields S_ALR_87012385
3. Speak to your ABAPer and ask him to add the filed to above report by copying the existing.

VAT Register numbering

Hello,
I have a problem with the VAT Register numbers in Italy. This is a serious issue for the Italian authorities.
The number of the month of June starts with 2008/1 instead of 2008/8.
The last printing was related to April month and the last page was 2008/7.
In the previous months the number flow has always been correct.
Has anyone had a similar issue?
How has it been solved?

The report of April had the right numbering.
In May, no tax movements happened.
Now, we want to make the report of June.

VAT Register (Poland)

I am going alive with a subsidiary in Poland.
SAP has a dedicate VAT report for Poland - S_ALR_87012385 (main changes from the regular report: tax date slice and different output)
I have two questions:
1. What about the GL postings that needs to be created for the vat register run? I cant see such option in this program.
2. How can I add the difference between the input vat amount and the output vat amount to this report? Is it possible? (like the standard vat report)

Hi,
You may or may not need to "register" the workflow - it depends on the changes that you made and which Item Type you modified. Some applications are essentially hard-coded to use a specific item type and process, some hard-coded to use an item type but you can configure the process to use, and some allow you to specify which item type and which process to use.
Without knowing exactly what you have done, though, there is no specific advice that anyone can give you here on what you need to do, apart from to ensure that you have saved the new definition to the database.

Need info about RH Server 6 and reports

I'm interisted in RH Server 6 but I'm unable to locate much
practical info about it on the Web site, and a call to sales didn't
help. I need to know what I'm getting us into before I contribute
our $2,000. Can anyone provide this information or point me to its
location on the site:
--I have system requirements from the Adobe site, but what is
the "server" and what does installation and setup entail? About how
how long does it take, or how difficult, to achieve operability?
--According to a piece by John Daigle, the server component
should be installed on a Windows server running IIS 5+. Is IIS a
separate software or standart part of Windows server? If separate,
what preparation should that server have before the installation in
addition to installation of IIS?
--I know nothing about security/firewall protocols. We will
have our own and our customer firewalls to navigate. Are the server
setup instructions adequate for setting all that up? Or are
purchasers expected to have sys admins knowledgeable to set that
up? Is that applied to the RH server or the Windows server? if RH
server, how can I get a copy of instructions for my system people
to review?
--Have users found the RH server/RoboEngine reliable, once
it's operable?
--Is it true that the usage reports aren't customizable? Can
additional usage data be specified in the RH server?
--These report summaries are vague--Areas Requiing Help,

You were asking about IIS. Yes. As Colum says, this comes
with virtually any version of Windows Server (or Windows XP
Professional). However, you must install and configure it. I am not
an IT or web administrator so it took me a while to learn, but
amazingly I got it to work if you're patient and follow the steps.
(I'm speaking of both IIS and Robohelp Server) Clearly IIS
configuration is not a trivial thing and it is assumed that an
author would have help and cooperation from the IT or Web Admin
folks.
As for customizing reports. At present, the existing reports
are the only ones offered. Since these reports are generated from a
database (Access, SQL Server or Oracle) I would think (haven't done
it myself) that someone familiar with database adminstration could
open the DB (after a backup that is) and be more creative with
generating customized reports.
You are right that the "Question" does in fact mean any
search term or phrase that an end user puts in the search field.
This is the string that is stored and reported as a question. In
discussing this with the Adobe team at STC last month, they agreed
that this was definitely a holdover from the legacy software and is
due for a change sometime in the future.
To answer your other question, text entered in the Index
field is not stored in the database, only the search term field.
Since taking on the old legacy product from eHelp and
Macromedia, Adobe is focusing most of its attention on beefing up
the client authoring app for the next version (Adobe RoboHelp 7).
My assumption is that they are keen on improving the RoboHelp
Server as well. I have passed along many feature requests along the
lines you seem to suggest and hopefully the server will evolve
along with the client app.
Even with its limitations, my clients tell me RoboHelp Server
provides very useful feedback to help them improve their knowledge
base content to make it more helpful and responsive to users needs.
They also like the searchability of PDF, Word, PPT and Excel as
well...something which plain WebHelp without the RoboHelp Server
does not do.
I probably didn't get to everything, but hope this helps.

Please refer T code J1I2 for Sales Tax Register. There is no Standard Purchase Tax Register.

Wrong amount in VAT Declaration Box Report

Hi,
I am running the VAT Declaration Box Report, but the EU Vat Code (acqusition/reverse) amount doubles up.
I have box number 2 with XX2 box component and XX2 has E2 and E21. The total of the invoices listed shows an amount, but the actual box component XX2 has doubled the amount.The box is on credit side.
Therefore when i look at the report i have XX2 credit amount 70,000 while E2 is only 35,000 and E21 is 0.
The JEs of the invoices post both input and ouput VAT as the code is ticked as being acqusition/reverse, but why is that total different?

Hi,
SAP found the issue. You can check SAP Note 1604993.
If there is a new effective from period defined in the VAT Declaration Boxes Setup, the VAT Declaration Box Report will
show total amounts multiplied (according to the number of periods defined).
They plan to fix this in 8.81 PL08.

in CIN u can use JVCD and / or JVRD condition in purchasing one is for VAT for Capital goods and other is VAT for Raw matl . U can assign GL for VAT .
