VB041AA Dock COMPATIBLE with HP PROBOOK 650 G1

Looking to upgrade our HP ProBook 6550b laptops and wondered if our current docking stations (VB041AA#ABA) are compatible with the HP ProBook 650 G1 laptops?

Hi:
Here is the link to the compatible notebooks for that docking station...

Doesn't look to be compatible with the 650 G1.

It sounds like you are wanting to know if the Universal Dock is compatible with your iPod. If you are referring to the iPod Touch 4th gen, then yes according to this article it is:

Did you also try to contact HP support? They will need on the support side your Serial number to verify what docking stating it can use.

  • I have a class where I need to use SmartDraw but it is not compatible with Mac probook what are some other software programs I can use to make floorplans and building plans?

I am suppose to download SmartDraw to my computer for a class but it is not compatible with Probook is there another program that does the same as SmartDraw?  I am planning a building addition and need it for the floor plans.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of choices. Just go to the App Store and type in Cad Drawing in the search field. Also Sketchup from Google is a cloud based solution hat works pretty well.

  • IPad keyboard w/ dock compatible with iPhone???

When iOS 4 is out Monday, it will be compatible with a wireless keyboard. Will the iPad keyboard with a dock work with my iPhone 3GS so that I could use it to type on my iPhone?

Unless this changes on the release date for iOS4 which is on 6/21, as it stands now the iPad Keyboard Dock is shown as being compatible with the iPad only.

  • Speaker dock compatible with 3G ipod touch?

I am trying to find a speaker dock that is compatible with an Ipod 3G Touch. I would like one that charges the ipod while playing it. Ideally I would like one with an alarm. All the ones I find dont actually mention being compatible with the 3G, can anyone please recommend some brands/models that are compatible. I am located in Australia but will order from overseas if needed.

my logitech speakers have worked (& charged) all my ipods (i've had 4 now - plus other versions that my parents have owned also work). it's an old model which isn't on the website, but you can see some of what's on offer here:
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakersaudio/ipod_mp3speakers/&cl=gb,en
generally i'd say that if you can you should actually go into a shop and ask if you can try it out before you buy it - it can be an expensive mistake if it doesn't work.
obviously if you buy online you won't be able to try it out, but definitely contact the manufacturer and ask if they know whether it works or not - most manufacturers are very helpful.

  • Any dock compatible with the Apple official Bumper?

I am looking for a dock to buy for my iphone 4 that is compatible to work with the bumper on it. I do not want to remove the bumper every time i want to charge the phone as it makes the bumper stretch a little more each time. Any suggestions, I don't care if it is a third party dock or anything. Just want something to work with the bumper. Any input would greatly help. Thanks

A universal dock without any insert should fit an iPhone in the Bumper and most other cases. This applies to other products that accept dock inserts.
You need to use the insert with a bare phone as the insert prevents the dock connector from taking the weight of the phone. If the phone is in a case, the bottom of the case should elevate and support the phone.

  • What ram is compatible with a probook 4520s

my computer specs are as follows:
Inter core i3  [email protected] Ghz
    ram: 2-gb
    OS: Windows 7  32 bit
I recently purchased a Patriot 2 gb ram chip with the following specs:
I believe it' model or item number# PSD32G13332s
    PS000641
    2gb PC3 - 10600 soDimm CL9
    RoHS compliant
After installing the notebook would not boot up, it sounded like it was trying to run and stopping continously.  I removed the batter and chip and things went back to normal.
Did I buy the wrong chip?  How much RAM can I upgrade too -  i read a 32 bit OS can only manage 4 gb?
    Any help is appreciated

    Hi:
That memory module should have worked. I checked the specs on it and it is what you needed.
I would return it as it was probably defective.
Since you have a 32 bit OS, you would want to install 2 x 2 GB of memory.
If you have a 64 bit OS (or plan to install one), then you can install 2 x 4 GB of memory.
Please see the quickspecs at the link below which will provide the memory info.

I never had a problem with Patriot memory.  It just wasn't your lucky day.
If you want to try another mfr, then try one of these:

  • Dock VB043AA (compatible with Elitebook 8470p) - which power supply ?

    Hello,
There are 2 docks compatible with the 8470p
    a 90w dock (VB041AA)
    a 230w dock (VB043AA)
I don't see real differences when checking the specs:
    http://portal.tugraz.at/portal/page/portal/Files/zid/files/datenblatt/computing/HP-Docking.pdf
Is it possible to use the 90w power supply using the "230w" dock ?
Why is there a power difference between the 2 docks ?
    Thanks a lot

  • ProBook 650 G1 freezes when taken off of docking station

Have a ProBook 650 g1 when removing it from the docking station the laptop hangs, We have tried multiple docking stations this happens with all docking stations

Thank you for your reply.  I'll give you a bit more detail.  I have two docking stations.  One was purchased for this laptop and the other one, the one I asked you about, is the one I used with my prior HP laptop.  My goal is to be able to use both docking stations at different locations. Regarding your reply, you mentioned that you are not sure if the laptop should be used with a 90w docking station, however the one my company purchased for use with this laptop is 90w.  It is product: A7E32AA and it says HP 90W Dock Station Pum1.0. That's why I asked the question.  They both appear to be 90W dock stations.  I don't know why the  VBO43AA isn't listed as a compatible dock station.  Can you think of any other reason I shouldn't use the  VBO43AA with the HP Probook 650 G1?

  • Bose Sound Docks are no longer compatible with Apple iPhones or iPods?

When plugging my iPhone 4S or 5, or my iPod 3rd Gen or 7th Gen into my Bose Sound Dock, I recieve a message that reads, "This iPhone/iPod is not compatible with this accessory" and will not play stored music.
    Background Info:
         - The Bose Sound Dock was designed to support Apple products.
         - All software/OS on the Apple products is current as of Dec 2013.
         - The Bose product doesn't have update-able software associated with it.
         - Clearly, something has changed with the Apple products.
What can be done to fix this so that iPhones and iPods will play again on Bose products?
I've unplugged/replugged the Bose Sound Dock, and I've powered down and powered up the Apple products expecting that something would reset, but these steps have proved to be ineffective and nothing has changed.

Ok, I was having the same issue which is why I came across this post (in search of an answer). I MAY have figured it out...I have an iPod, don't-remember-what generation, and it has always worked with my Bose sound dock portable speaker, approx 2-3 years. Anyway, a few months ago, the Bose stopped picking up that I "docked" my iPod onto it. A long while has gone by and we haven't done anything about it bc our speaker was out of warranty and didn't want to spend the $100 it costs to repair (thru Bose, don't know about other places $, but I've learned the hard way to stick to manufacturer for high-end brand device repair). Long story short, we really missed using our speaker outside and I decided to send it in instead of buying a new one (new one-year warranty comes with the repair, so I figured it was $100 cheaper than buying a new one). An added note, we tried putting my husbands iPhone 4S on the dock and it didn't read it, either; the Bose didn't charge either device, didn't acknowledge in anyway that a device was on the dock attachment piece. Back to present day... I got my speaker back from Bose, and I was so happy to try it out. I put my iPod on the attachment, and voila! It charged the iPod (so clearly it registered that a device was attached), but DID NOT PLAY MUSIC....Exact same message about incompatibility. So, when my husband got home, we tried his phone (this is last week, literally, and I was mad thinking it was the recent apple software update and that I just threw away $100). Guess what? His phone worked! Pandora, his music, you name it. When I called Bose and suggested it could be a software update issue? They replied it wasn't, that the sound dock works with the devices after update, but the piece was still bad, as it was not working correctly if it was not playing the iPod, regardless of the new update, and/or what generation it was. So my thoughts are that it is the attachment where you sit your device on the Bose that has gone faulty. I packaged up my speaker and it's going backs to Bose at their expense to repair. It stinks that I won't have it for Christmas to play music as we enjoy the outdoors, but at this point, I will just be content if they get it to work again!

  • IPhone no longer compatible with iPhone dock after 2.1

I have an iPhone dock attached to my PC for power, with an audio out to a stereo system. Before the update I would pop it in the dock and use the remote to control music. Neat. After the 2.1 update, when I put the iPhone in the dock I get the alert saying that the iPhone is not compatible with the equipment and asking if I want to switch it to airplane mode as a consequence. The remote only controls volume now, not play/pause, skip or menu. So, of what benefit is it for the iPhone now not to be compatible with the iPhone dock? Or am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Which iPhone dock are you referring to?
If you mean the iPhone dock that came with the original iPhone then it is not made for the iPhone 3G as the phone does not fit. There is no other iPhone dock other than the dock that Apple are now selling here :-
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB125G/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOQ&mco=MTQ2MjA
This dock does provide the functions to which you refer.

  • IPod touch no longer 'compatible' with dock

    Hi all,
I have a Kitsound Boomdock iPod dock. My 3rd generation iPod touch is apparently no longer compatible with this devices. Or no longer supports it. Sometimes it gives an error message along those lines and sometimes doesn't bother.
I know the iPod is old but it still works well and I use Spotify to listen to music via the Kitsound dock.
Why wouldn't it be working? And is there anything I can do to sort it??
    Thanks so much,
    Steven

    - Have you went to the dock manufacturer's support site?
    Sometimes this works:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod and dock for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Did this happen after an iOS update? Sometimes an iOPS updates breaks compatibility.
