VBLOG Delete Switched Off
SAP 2T SD certification allows for "switching off VBLOG delete". I'd assume this reduces the overhead of deletion of records from VBLOG table at the expense of disaster/recovery.
I'd like to measure the performance impact. My question is - how can I switch off VBLOG deletes? Thanks!
Hey, same thing happened with me. my iphone was all black screen but if people trying to call me they hear its ringing but my phone is dead.
Just try to dial ur number from another device n listen wat it says. If its ringing but ur iphone is still black screen. keep calling ur number till the battery of ur iphone is all drained. when u hear it is switched off, put it on charging, it will come up to life.

We have several portable devices and a mini mac on our system and have found that if we delete an email on one device it is removed from others.
We don't want this, but at the same time we need to keep our devices clear of clutter.
It was suggested that switch off the sync mail switch in settings - Icloud, but this only works on IPads & Ipods

Nevermind, everyone! I fixed it myself! Anyone who has or ever gets this problem, do understand that it isnt easy to fix it, but it's worth it. All you have to do is go to the photo, and tap "Edit". Then tap "Crop", and just a little bit will do the trick. Then, tap "Save". It will probably come up with a white background. Unfortunately, you must do each picture one by one. If you really want to, you can go back to any picture you've cropped, tap "Edit", then tap "Revert to Original". This will change the photo back to it's original size.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them. -
I switched off photo stream in my iphone and as a result those 1 months photos got deleted on iPad. How can I retrieve them? How to avoid this in future?
This happened because iCloud only keeps photo stream photos in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo will remain on your device until deleted. Turning off photo stream deleted them from your device; reconnecting to photo stream redownloads photos from the last 30 days (as older ones are no longer in iCloud).
To keep your photos permanently, import them to your computer while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. To save photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll so they can be imported too. -
Hi, needing advice, my phone today has contacts and photos from nearly a year ago that were deleted. I have not connected to itunes lately and icloud backup is switched off.. Its only annoying as some of my family have changed there phone numbers and now i cannot tell which is the correct number as there are now multiples. Any help would be great. Thanks
Have you recently added your Facebook credentials? If you haven't synced with your PC recently, this is likely the reason.

how do I make it so that the one computer that has the main itunes account on it be used on other computers, when it comes to backing up phones and not deleting data off of phone that isnt on that computer itunes becasse its all on the one main computer. Baiscally the problem is that one comuter and one account has always been sued for eey persons itunes. Now if we want to be able to backup and use itunes on our own computers fro our iphones and such, how will all he data that is on our phones not be deleted once its plugged into a new computer? Also, is theere a way to get all the stuff on thw current itunes onto each computer, via differtn account name?
option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. Why does Time machine still ask for a disk when it is switched off?
My Time Capsule recently died, PSU problems , I think. So I went into system prefs and deselected the Time Capsule as the back-up disk in Time Machine and switched off Time Machine. Yet every few minutes I get a window appearing telling me Time Machine can't find a back-up disk. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? Thanks

File Adapter BPEL Process getting switched off
The file adapter BPEL process reads a csv file which has a series of records in itfrom /xfer/chroot/data/aramex/accountUpdate/files. In between reading the files, the BPEL process gets switched off. The below snippet is the error we found in the domain.log. Anybody can you please suggest what to do?

CS6: Can't switch off color management in the printerdriver when photoshop manages colors
So this is weird: I'm using CS6 Extended and Lightroom 5 on a Windows 7 Pro machine, printing to an old Canon Pixma Ip5200R. When i print from Lightroom, i am using a special printer profile for the pixma and my photopaper, so color management is switched off in the printer driver. The photos print fine.
Now when i print the same photo from CS6, it has a magenta color cast, so clearly something is wrong with the color management. Even though i am using the same printer, the same paper, the same printer profile and - of course! - had set photoshop to manage the colors, and switched color managent off in the printer driver. The magenta cast could be an indication that the photo is double colormanaged.
It took my quite a while to find out what happens, and this is really weird: When i re-checked the printer driver settings, i noticed that the color management settings did not stick. The canon printer driver offers the options "driver matching" "windows ICM" "none", e.g. having color management done by the printer driver or windows, or switch color management off. So when i go to the PS print settings and set it to "photoshop manages colors", add the correct printer profile, i have to check the settings in the printer driver and make sure that color management is set to "none". I set it to "none" and click OK. Now everything should be configured correctly. But it's not - because when i re-check the print driver settings, i see color management is set to "diver matching". I can go to the print driver settings again and agian, but whenever i check, color management is set to "driver matching". This setting simply does not stick. No wonder i get a mangenta cast on my prints, the colors are doublemanaged by photoshop AND my printer driver.
Now, this is getting weirder: Only the color management settings don't stick. I can change other settings like print quality and the stick.
But - how do i get rid of this? The culprit seems to be photoshop, not the printer driver. If i print from lightroom, i can change the color management settings in the (very same) printer driver and they stick. When i set the photoshop print dialogue to "printer manages colors" i can change the color management settings in the (very same) printer driver - and they stick! So this looks as if photoshop stops me intentionally from using the correct printer driver settings, that is from switching off the printer drivers color management if it is set to manage colors.
I have already resetted my personal photoshop preferences, but this changed nothing. What am i missing? What is going wrong? Your help is very appreciated.
TobiasHi all, Just to let you know that I finally solved my problem myself.
Essentially what had occurred was that I had updated my Epson driver for my printer , but it hadn't installed, despite informing me that it had! To cut a long story short when I checked in System preferences the older driver for Leopard O/S was still the current driver. I proceeded to ask Epson support for assistance, bu despite their efforts I could not immediately resolve the problem. They were directing me to my Utilities program to remove all traces of my current driver from Printer Utility which did not exist. When I queried this they stated it was not always visible and I should proceed to the next step then install the new driver. Problem was they required me to access this invisible utility in order to complete this process, and yes before you ask I had informed them I was using an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.2 O/S. Finally I ignored their advice and took the following steps:
1. I opened System Preferences and double clicked the Printer & Fax icon.
2. I highlighted my Epson R2400 Pinter and removed it by clicking the minus sign at the bottom of the Printers window.
3. Next I did a search and deleted any old drivers for my R2400 that were on my system with the exception of the new Driver.
4. I restarted my Mac Pro.
5. I reinstalled my new printer driver which I had previously downloaded from Epson Support.
6. I restarted my Mac Pro and found that the new driver had installed correctly and full functionality had been returned to the Print Features Dialogue box i.e I could now turn of color management and access advanced features to set the quality of printing using the full spec of the R2400.
Hope this post will be helpful to others if they have a similar problem

I have rearranged all icons on the second and third pages to have a just a photo on my home, but if i switch off the iphone when i restarted it all the icons come back in the old position on the home and second page. I have ios5.

And it is only a problem if you want a blank first screen. Personally, it would drive me nuts always having to swipe over one page to get to my apps - the only time I unlock my iPhone is to use it or run an app, so no, I have no need nor desire to have a first screen with no icons at all.
But, if they'd put it in as an option so people like yourself can also have what they want, that's fine too So send them your feedback (they actually do listen - iOS 5 includes a number of things people have been asking for on these forums, like being able to delete individual entries from the call history, inproved alerts/notifications, being able to opt out of all the location based data they collect,...). -
Switching off layer in smart object causes it to move in photoshop
Dear all. I am stumped. I have piece of packaging artwork that I’m using in my 3D software.
Smart Objects are great for this as all I have to do is go to Photoshop, double-click the Smart Object, then in Illustrator turn off the layers I need etc and update the Smart Object back in Photoshop and save back out for my 3D software. Only problem is that when I switch off the layer in illustrator and go back to Photoshop to update, the Smart Object jumps half way up my Photoshop file as if I’ve moved it but it also crops it so I can’t even just move it back down as there’s nothing there when I do.
The layer I’m switching off (not deleting) is the die cut for a pizza box, it is still in the Smart Object just not visible. I have tried this in both CS3 and CS4 and it happens both times. I have searched everywhere on the internet for similar problems but can’t find an answer which makes me think I’m doing something wrong. Although I’ve used Smart Objects many times before and this has not happened. I have attached some screen grabs to help with the explanation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mac OS 10.5.6You need to set up an invisible Bounding Box in the Illustrator file. This will be outside the Die cut. This Cropping area can be defined as a Cipping Mask. In Illustrator Object/clipping mask/Make - Command 7. I haven't really experimented with the ins-and-outs of this, and it may also be possible possible with a simple transparent bounding box. But the clipping mask (different to Photoshop Clipping Masks, same term, completely different function),always seems to work in keeping the defined area from moving when you update the Smart Object
Its happening because the outside perimeter of the Smart Object is changing somehow when you delete the object. Photoshop always defines how its going to sample/render the Smart Object based on this perimeter. -

Can you switch off wlan scanning off permently. i usually disconnect it at the wlan wizard,but after a couple of minutes it has switched its self back on.If this is not possible can you delete your email from the phone as it is driving me crazy getting an alert with every email i recieve,also it seems to drain the battery very quickly
