VC Bi Integration wizard -

Dear gurus,
I saw another post which has a similar problem, but unfortunately it didnot answer my question, so i am opening a new one here.
I am trying to create a model for displaying BI data in the portal. I am able to see the queries in VC and even drag and drop them into the storyboard. But when I use the wizard it throws the below error message.
"WARNING 2005: There are no BI systems defined in portal. In order to use BI integration wizard, you must first define at least one BI system based on the BI XMLA, BI ODBO, BI JDBC, or BI SAP Query Connector"
This is a BI integrated portal and we have no issues with publishing queries and web templates into the portal. They show perfectly as iviews. We have not implemented Single Sign on.
Now when I was looking at the sytems defined in the portal I see the following entries, and they were created / provided by SAP.
BI JDBC System
BI ODBO-Compliant OLAP System
BI SAP Query System
BI XMLA-Compliant OLAP System
EP 5.0 System
HTTP System
JDBC System
SAP system using connection string
SAP system using dedicated application server
SAP system with load balancing
Web Service System using WSDL URL
I am assuming that all these systems were already provided by SAP. Then why is the wizard still throwing the error. Was it configured or initially installed using the wrong system alias?
I have also activated the MDX editor, but that didnot help.
Landscape: EP 7.0 (Netweaver 2004s ), VC version 700.16.0.1
any help is appreciated, useful answers<=>generous points.

Hi,
As Our friend Told it Correct.
the List you showed is the List of Templates with which you can creat the Systesm in the portal.
But if you want to use any BI systesm through BI integration wizard the that BI system should be Configured using the One of the Connectors :  BI XMLA ,BI JDBC ,BI ODBO ..etc
So to configure your BI as one of the above types then you will not get the Error you got.
To confiuge the BI system to use in BI wizard ,Please follow the Link
.HeatMaps with a Business Scenario.
in the above link look for the BI JDBC Systesm  caretion

  • Report error with the input form using the VC BI integration wizard

    Hello All,
I've created a report using the BI integration wizard in visual composer. I've configured the query with the 'Free Form' query template also I've defined the filters there. This is working fine and giving me the report output. When I deploy this , I could see
a start point for the data service.
But instead of the start point with the default values for the filters , I want to have an input form for the users to enter the field values. I added the input form in place of start point. But it's not working even though it doesn't give any error while deploying this report. It gives the following error when I run this report.
" Data service error occurred, cannot execute OLAP queryCannot get data set: Cannot get data set".
    Could anybody help on this.
    Thanks
    Alok

    Hi Sandeep,
I'm already draging it from the query input port. Are you referring a different way? How I could have the input variables in the query which I'm creating using the BI integration wizard.  To get this input variable I'm trying to add the input form.
Am I doing anything wrong here ?
    Pls help.
    Thanks

Could you please update me what does creating a BI system in portal based on BI Java Connector BI XMLA, BI ODBO, BI JDBC, or BI SAP Query Connector.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Yes ,Even you have the BI system in portal  the Connector for
that sytem is RFC not Other connectors
you can check for the type of connector in the portal click on the system open its properties there you find the Connector type
    go for connection properties option.
    see for more details.

  • BI Integration Wizard not opening

    Hi,
I have put the patches on EP7.0 from SP6 to SP10. Now there is a problem I am getting for BI in Visual Composer which is as follows:
After opening the Visual Composer, then I move through menu bar "BI" -> "BI Integration Wizard". Now a pop-up message comes as <b>"WARNING 2003: Zoom the current diagram to the level of an iView or a service"</b> with "OK" button. Now when I click on the button, the pop-up closes. So, I am not able to open BI Integration wizard.
Can someone tell me how I can open the BI Integration Wizard.

  • How to use BI Integration Wizard ?

When I click BI Integration Wizard tag, error message is : warning 2003:Zoom the current diagram is to a level of as iview or a service?
    what's wrong with it?
    Anyone know?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
the error clearly saying the solution.
if you want to work with BI integration wizard ,creat a model and drag a iview to it them drill down to the iview level then clcik on BI integration wizard then it will work.
reason is why we are using BI integration wizard ? to get the queries from BI right
but to drag the query or BI service to VC design board we should be in Iview level.
    hope it helps you

  • VC Bi Integration wizard problem

    Hello,
Am trying to create a model for displaying BI data in the portal.
We have portal and BI properly connected with logon tickets SSO  and are also publishing webtemplates to the portal. But creating BI content using VC seems to involve a BI wizard and opening this gives an error that
"WARNING 2005: There are no BI systems defined in portal. In order to use BI integration wizard, you must first define at least one BI system based on the BI XMLA, BI ODBO, BI JDBC, or BI SAP Query Connector"
How to fix this issue .
1)why is the system we are currently using (created in portal sys Landscape)for publishing templates not adequate here ?
2)which type of system should be used here ie java/xml/olap etc?
3)Is this the only way to create Bi content in VC for depolying on portal?
Sorry for too many qns ,but would really appreciate some explanation rather than links.
    Landscape: Ep 7.0 , VC 7.0
    Thank you
    Rgds

    Hi,
    yes this Error is correct.
Beacuse the Bi system you ahd configured through the portal are done with RFC,JDBC connectors.
But to use a BI syetms in BI integration wizard the type of connector s should be BI XMLA, BI ODBO, BI JDBC, or BI SAP Query Connector.
    Solution:
Chnage the type of connector in the portal for the BI sytems to one of the above connector then you are able to see the Systems

  • BI integration Wizard

    Hi All,
I am new to Visual Composer. I know how to use Bapi and pull data from Backend.  i went through sap library documentations.
    1. Can anyone explain me why we use Bi integration wizard and why we create a query in it?
    Regards,
    Divya

    Hi,
Visual Composer provides functionality that helps you build business intelligence (BI) queries into your Visual Composer models. With the BI Query Wizard and supporting tools, you can build and configure queries on data services and visualize their results, which you can then display in an iView. This allows you to build applications that display analytical data and perform business analytics.
The BI Query Wizard can create queries upon any data service in your portal system configured to connect via the BI Java Connectors, including OLAP and relational data sources.

  • EIM v4.3(1) - Re-run integration wizard?

    Hi all,
Is there a way to re-run the integration wizard? I've missed out some configuration and as a result some of the details were not not populated into CIM.
    a) Agent PG not shown in Listener
    b) Peripheral and UCCE agent login name not populated in users
    c) Peripheral and skill group not populated in user groups
    d) MRD and script selector not populated in queues
Other than the integration wizard, is there a manual way to update it?
    Thanks!
    -JT-

Once you run the Integration wizard it writes to the database and this stops it from running again.
But you can certainly add new skills and agents after the fact, otherwise it would be impossible. I'm not sure about the PG though.
The MRD names must be exactly named as in the Guide, otherwise they don't match what EIM wants to see and you have to change a config file on EIM. Easier to rename them on ICM to the names EIM wants to see.

  • BI intregration wizard query

    Hi,
I want to access BI content. How can i access it?
What is the difference between using a BI integration wizard and searching for the info-cube and using the "Data" task panel and Selecting the BI system and searching for a cube in it?
Is there any difference in both of them? Can any one explain me regarding that?
    Regards,
    Divya

    Hi,
the BI integration is a generic term in Visual Composer; it allows you to integrate various kind of BI "like" data sources, among others:
    - ABAP Queries
    - SAP BI Queries
    - Relational databases tables (JDBC)
In order to access SAP BI content, you need to define an SAP BI query (or query view).
Once this is done, you can access it directly in VC by choosing your SAP BI server as data source.
The BI integration wizard is used for creating queries over JDBC tables, allowing you to access BI "like" (but not specifically SAP BI) content.
