Im looking for a component to integrate in an application to copy/paste or import/export vectors between programs.
If theres someone that can assist me, will be great.
Is it possible that someone has the file structure /source code for emf/wmf ??

I don't think it should work this way. First, Include SVG Code to me is not equal to Replace copied objects by SVG Code. When I copy an object from an Illustrator file and then try to paste it back into an Illustrator file, why should I get code instead? Second, that code was not pasted every time. Just about every second or third time. Sometimes it worked with a single object, sometimes to get that SVG code I had to copy/paste multiple objects, while pasting single objects worked as expected. So, to me it looks like a bug.
And anyway, even if this function is supposed to replace objects with code, it should not be ON by default, not all of Illustrator users are developers. My estimate, most of us are not, actually.

I have a really complex shape made in Illustrator cs4 that I need to import in flash cs4. When I import my shape in flash , my shape doesn't keep the exactly, precisely same shape. I try to reduce the amount of point with illustrator with Object->path->simplify ... It's help but not enough. My shape is to complex to re-draw one by one every single points as the original.
I did some test as in Flash cs3 and this problem dosen't exist. In cs4 you can test it do a circle , the smallest you can and zoom , you will see that the circle is not a circle anymore. (cs3 does't do it)

You can copy/paste from Illy to ID by selecting the text with the type tool in Illy and then pasting it into ID. You will not be able to maintain the formatting. If you want to maintain the appearance the text will be converted to outlines.
If you need to get anything other than very simple objects from Illy to ID then you should save as AI and use the file > place command to place those objects as linked graphics into ID.
Your closing statement is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, this is the way it is.

Elements 12 Copy + Paste Intermittent

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it.
I use Elements 12 on a near enough daily basis, and often have to copy images from PDF files to resize them / crop them. Usually I just right click the image in Adobe Reader and then go to "File > New > Image from Clipboard" this usually works fine, but generally after the first image I copy, it will start causing problems. It will either create a new image using the PREVIOUS image I asked it to copy, or the option will simply be greyed out and I can't create them image. THe only way around seems to be copying the new image several times, and usually after the 2nd try it will work as intended. I have also found that after I downloaded the clipboard exe for Windows, the new image will be in the clipboard, and once I've checked that it's in the clipboard, Photoshop will be fine and work as intended. This makes me think it's something to do with Elements as I don't have copy/paste issues anywhere else etc.
I've tried a registry fix I found for CS5 - create a DWORD named "alwayscheckclipboard" or something similar, but that hasn't fixed it.
Any help getting this feature working would be greatly appreciated!

Running Elements 12.1 x32 - Win7 Pro x64

Generally speaking it's for speed - basically I'm taking content to update for our website from a PDF, so if an image needs updating I just take it directly from the PDF and paste it into Elements to resize or crop as I need to.
It's one of those issues where it isn't stopping me from what I need to do, just delaying it a bit

But since I updated the system to ios7 it won't copy paste from messages, safari etc..
When I do the long press to get the edit menu the app abruptly shuts down .

Copy/Paste/Clipboard Problem; Pastes only as SVG Code

I have Illustrator CC installed, as well as Illustrator CS6, running Windows 7 x64, latest patchlevel. When I try to copy and paste objects in Illustrator CC, I always get a SVG code. I draw a simple rectangular, copy it, paste it, it's not pasted as a rectangular, it's pasted as SVG code. Same with an embedded JPEG. Copy it. paste it. et voila, SVG code...
In Illustrator CS6 everything works as i would expect it. Highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v, ok.
In CC, highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v => svg code [ etc. pp.] This always happens, no matter where (copy in illustrator cc, paste in the same illustrator document, word, photoshop, etc) or what (drawn object, jpeg, embedded, linked, gif).. I've tried different clipboard settings in Illustrator CC, it makes no difference.

Some general ?'s re: urxvt, copy/paste, etc.

I started using urxvt, and I just checked the manpage and what I believe is the section on keybindings was quite confusing for me. I am used to gnome-terminal's ctrl+alt+c/v for copy/paste, and just want to double check a few things.
1. In urxvt, highlight with either left/right mouse and which kb button/shortcut will copy? And what is the paste command in urxvt (above gnome-terminal combo doesn't work I just realized).
2. Doing it this way, I can only paste with middle mouse button, ctrl+v in FF for example doesn't paste it, and I am confused about why?
3. Can someone give me a fairly basic command/rundown for configuring/viewing keybindings in urxvt? I have checked the manpage like I said and it was a bit baffling.

Yes. As a matter of fact, clipboard managers such as Glipper allow for collection of copied items based on whether the items come from the Primary selection (highlight & middleclick) or the Clipboard (CTL+C & CTL+V, etc.).

By the way, I recently began using rxvt-unicode, and two things that I find require some adjustment are the use of the Primary selection for copy / paste (without the option for using the Clipboard) and no drag and drop support.
Because of urxvt's use of the Primary clipboard, I had to enable that feature in Glipper (which I normally have disabled), and it certainly leads to a lot of junk filling up Glipper's copy / paste list. Every time you highlight something whether you intended to copy and paste it or not, the item ends up in the list making it more difficult to cull out the items you really intended to re-use for copy & paste operations.
I guess everything has its pros and cons, and I'm still on the fence about whether the pros of urxvt outweigh the cons. I'm leaning towards keeping it for now.

As per the information and details provided by you, when you copy & paste a data from server to Outlook, word, notepad, then you do not receive the Chinese text.
For Outlook, please follow these steps: -
Close and reopen Outlook in your western locale (or switch the windows system to your Western locale if you changed that),
Manually change the message from Western to Chinese encoding, which you can do in all versions up to Outlook 2007.
If you want to stay in your Chinese locale in Outlook 2007, then:
After you hit reply, go to the Option tab > More Options.
In the Encoding drop-down menu, select the Chinese encoding you are working in (Not the encoding used by the person who will receive the message)
Note:
To set the Chinese locale in all versions up to 2007 the controls are under.
Tools > Options. In Outlook 2010 File tab > Options > Advanced > International options.
Unicode (UTF-8)
is a good setting for multilingual users.
Check the
Auto select 2007)/ Automatically select (2010) encoding box.

KDE4: Konqueror: No copy, paste, etc?

Edit: .. what in the hell is going on? It seemed to be fixed for some bizarre reason after installing konq-plugins.. Then randomly goes away again. Then comes back again. Removing konq-plugins doesn't reproduce it back to it's original no-cut-or-paste state.

This is probably a simple problem, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I have just about no hair left on my head from switching over to this (again..).
Simply, the copy/paste/etc functions are greyed out on -anything- in konqueror. Everything. However, it has a menu "Copy to.." that appears to work fine..
Btw, they appear to work fine in dolphin, but I very much dislike dolphin.
Wtf?

Out of curiosity, what's so bad about Dolphin? It's developed by the same people who develop Konqueror, and has the option of opening multiple, Konqueror-style tabs and splitting the current view (but only into 2 windows - which is all most people need). There is no apparent way to put a location bar (which I want to be the usual editable kind as opposed to only editable when you click next to it -- -always-.) into the same bar as the back/fwd etc. I can only have a separate, space-wasting navigation bar. I don't see 'location' anywhere in the toolbar options, or a way to get rid of the navigation bar. I need to do both. I dont see a point in wasting so much space to the right of both the main icons and the location bar when you could combine them.
* I don't understand the point of yet another file browser when konqueror beats it hands down and is essentially loaded into the system whether or not it's used on my setup.
* Dolphin is not a web browser, which I used konqueror for occasionally.
* I don't think most of my service menus work with it. Though this I have not determined for sure, because of the above.
I could probably think of more, but these are the most obvious reasons. I just don't like it. It feels like a nerfed nautilus to me.
.... but in other news, Dolphin solved a bug I was having in konqueror somehow that I was about to post. Basically, the icons were huge. When I would resize them and their previews in the config utility, it would work, but then reset itself upon re-launching konqueror. I used the identical utility in dolphin to change its icon sizes, and magically they are working correctly in konqueror now on every launch. Weird. Maybe loading dolphin to check whether copy/paste works there also fixed copy/paste in konq somehow, as it just did with these icons, and installing konq-plugins was just a coincidence at the same time. Within these few minutes that the icons did not save size settings, I have done nothing but play with dolphin and install konq-plugins. Very bizarre.
Kde4 is so buggy.. =/ I'd post bug reports on these things, but it doesn't do much good when I can't reproduce the problem or have certainty about what solved the issue in the first place.

How do you keep strokes, etc, from changing when copying & pasting?

I am sure there is a simple solution to this problem, but I cannot figure it out and could use some help. I have a graphic in one InDesign document (ID CS4 - using Windows XP Pro) and when I try to copy and paste it into another ID doc, it completely changes the strokes and fills. It usually does the opposite of what is in the graphic (this happens with every graphic I try this with). So if I have a circle that is stroke only, when I copy and paste it, it comes in with no stroke and a fill. I have to use these graphics between documents frequently and some of them are complicated, making it difficult to spend the time correcting this problem. When I tried adding the graphic to a library, it did the same thing. It also changed it when I moved one page to another document. Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and how to make it stop?

Thanks for the reply. While it wasn't the preferences, I did find a link on the link you included in your answer that led me to the solution.
The problem was conflicting object styles. The solution was to load the object style from the doc that included the graphic into the doc that I wanted to place the graphic in. Then when I copy & paste, the graphic comes in perfectly. The only problem is if there are other graphics in that doc, but now that I know there is an issue with object styles, I can pay attention to it as I design.
I can always count on the forum for great answers!

JTable: getColumnClass() causes instability when copy-paste

}I noticed that copy paste causes instabilities. It behaves in a very strange way. In general it does not work. The problem is when in getColumnClass(int) I return getValueAt(0, col).getClass(). If I return super.getColumnClass(col) copy paste is working but the TableModel is primitive (no checkboxes, no Dates, etc).
The only workaround is to apply correct column rendering for specific columns like this:

               }     Any ideas why copy-paste causes this behavior?

Getting rid of Multiple Spaces in Code View (after Copying/Pasting)

Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to get rid of multiple spaces between words in Dreamweaver CS3's code view.
Oftentimes, when I copy/paste text from elsewhere (e-mail, website, etc), the Dreamweaver code shows up with multiple spaces. Normally, that wouldn't be problem -- except that my blog's auto-tag plug-in doesn't detect selected phrases when there are multiple spaces between words, e.g., it'll detect "Swiss Alps" in a post but not "Swiss Alps" (notice the extra space between words in the second phrase).
If at all possible, I'd like to be able to keep Dreamweaver's text formatting option when I copy and paste, as that means I don't need to manually put words in bold/italics.So, is there a way to keep that option while getting rid of all the extra spacing between words?
By the way, I'm familiar with Wordpress CSS, but not with Dreamweaver CSS. Not sure if there's any difference.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I make it a point to never paste formatted text into HTML pages. Formatted text from MS Office usually contains a variety of junk you don't want and I don't have that much faith in MS Word code removal tools.
Bold and Italics from Word or Outlook should be changed to current HTML tags of <strong> for bold and <em> or emphasis for italics anyway. Also see Logical Tags here:

Amount Copy Paste is not possible in FF67

In Manual BRS,( T code FF67) , the copy paste is not working in Amount column . But the copy paste is working for all other fields including date , reference etc . Could any one help me on this ??

[Bridge CC] Is there a way to see thumbnails and preview of WMF and EMF files?

I have a big archive full of technical illustrations, designed by me in the past, saved as EMF or WMF files, very good and lightweight to import in Word documents.
In the past, Adobe Bridge (CS3 at least) was able to show thumbnails and preview of such a file type.
Now it is impossible, for me, to search and retrieve, fast enough, old files.
Is there a way to let Bridge returns to show this files?

Hi Ram,
You can see the objects included in a transport request by going to se09 and opening your transport request and drill down to the task and below the task you would have all the objects that are included in the tranport. You can also use se03 to get the details by drilling down the tansport request.
The problem with importing the function module might be because either the function module or the function group may not be active which may cause the tranport to fail. please check if both are active or not.
