In one of our client place, new car loans are availed frequently. Need to track Vehicle wise loan status at any point of time. Anyone can tell the SAP best and simple business process.

Hi,
You can create Internal order for each car loan. You can post all the entrie s pertaining to this car by entering the Internal Order at the line item level.
This can be one solution.

You can book the diesel consumption against equipment by mentioning the equipment number in MIGO / MB1C transaction in text field.
Fleet management will help you to track the diesel consumption if consumption happens from internal warehouse.
If you want to do Vehicle Consumption analysis using MCIZ report, then you can configure the settings under Settings for Fleet Management. Here, without creating any goods movement document, update the measurement documents for Distance or Running hours (as per your requirement) & Fuel consumption.

Cost center wise expense tracking

Dear all,
We are using the reports KSB1 and FBL3N. When selected for a given period, the ammount displayed in both the reports are not tallying.
Can anyone tell me the what could be the reason?,also tell me on what condition will KSB1 report get updated?

Employee wise Budget and Expense Tracking in FM-BCS

Hi Experts,
We have Activated FM-BCS to one of our client for budget tracking. Our client needs Employee wise expenses tracking for better and effective control. There is a requirement of capturing the budget Amount and Actual Amount on the basis of Expenses wise, Department Wise and Employee wise. For Example: Client wants to maintain the budget Employee wise Department wise and Expenses. Like
Employee No (PERNR): 1234
Department (Cost Center): Marketing
Expenses (GL Code): Telephone Expenses
Grouping of Expenses: Operating Expenses
Tracking Method: How much one Employee 1234 has budget for Telephone expenses and how much he has spend over a particular period.
So we have mapped as follows in FM-BCS to address the above issue:
Cost Center = Fund Center
GL Code = Commitment Items
Group of Expenses = Fund
Through FMBB, we have given the budget values as follows:
Fund+Fund Centers+Commitment Items. And actuals also we could capture.
But we are not able to map the Employee numbers in FM. How to accommodate / map the employee nos to FM Account Assignments. Can we map employee numbers to Funded Programs (700 employees in number and Overhead GL codes are around 50)

Hi,
To start with, choosing 'fund' for representing group of expenses, does not make much sense. Your expenses are already mapped by commitment items, being representative object for G/L. If you want to group those, you can use simple hierarchy of commitment items. 'Fund', when used properly, belongs more to budget domain, rather than to the expenses. For example, it could represent the source of the budget.
Secondly, having budget control on employee level sounds bit strange. Is your client going to budget 700 employees with different combinations of G/Ls? For what reason? And what happens if employee exceeds the budget? They won't pay him? All this does not make much sense. I understand, if you want to collect statistical data on the expenses made by employees. You can do it either via CO (internal order) or via self-developed reports based on PERNR.

Vehicle detection and vehicle tracking

Hi all,
I'm trying to construct a vision-based vehicle detection and tracking system on LabVIEW.
I've searched some method to implement the system:
(1)Using pattern/geometric matching function
(The matching mode of pattern matching function seems can't search scaled target;however, geometric matching function can do.
I have tried to combine them,but failed..and I also wonder that if the pattern matching function can achieve vehicle detection and tracking through camera on moving vehicle.)
(2)Use classification toolkit to create a custom classifier
(If I take this method, how can I extract the feature?)
I'm a newer to LaVIEW,please give me some idea or example,or if there is any other method that can help me to do the work.

My objective is to build a vision-based collision avoidance system or a driving assistance system.
Moreover,develop a system that can help vehicle driving itself if possible.
To do so, I think vehicle detection and tracking is the first step that should be done.
Vehicle licnese plate recognition will be one of the function in the system,thanks for the idea!

Loan Management or Interest Rate Instrument

Hi all,
My company will implement SAP FSCM to manage our loan management, borrowing and lending.
Which one better and has more values between Loan management with product type 33A and 33B, or interest rate instrument with product type 55A and 55B.
Beside that, we also want to use TRM Facility.
Can anyone give me advice?

Hi,
Functionality wise Loans management gives better control and functionality generating interest based cash flows from SAP CML but you can not assign a loan contract to any TRM facility transaction and genrate Facility utilization.
In case of TRM Product Category 550 functionality Loan borrowing and lending is possible with assignment of Facility and interest conditions are limited to single against a transaction for a calculation period which is not in case of SAP CML products.

Transportation charges

Hi guys,
We are having one issue required for the client. Client will send the materials to vendor in their vehicle. The transportation charges are paid per trip basis. The material will be sent to vendor on 57f4 challans, for subcontracting orders. In some cases the material to be supplied by the vendor will be collected by the client in their vehicle. But these transportation charges are not included in the Purchase Orders. We want to track the vehicle-wise movements in the system. How to do this?
Can anybody suggest on this?

Issue using one 2 Fact tables with one dimension Table.

I have 1 Dimension table X and 2 Fact tables A and B
X is joined to Both A and B for Loan Amount ( with A) and for colleatral amount (with B) when I am selecting the X.Product_Name, A.Loan_Amt, B.Collateral Amount, it is giving an error message
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 15018] Incorrectly defined logical table source (for fact table EIP Collateral FACT) does not contain mapping for [EIP Reporting FACT.PD ID]. (HY000)
Any clues???

I have one table which is Porfolio Details which has Portfolio name, Product Category , Product Name, Product ID, Product sources code.- This is my Dimension table.
I have another 2 set of fact tables : EIP Reporting FACT and EIP Collateral FACT..
These two tables are joined to Portfolio Details table.
EIP Reprting FACT gives portfolio wise Loan Amount
and EIP Collateral FACT gives Portfolio wise Collateral Amount details for same set of customer..
Now, I am selecting Portfolio Name, Product Category, Product Name,SUM( EIP Reporting FACT.LOAN_AMOUNT), SUM(EIP Collaetral FACT.Collateral_Amt) in a report
Now, on selecting these columns I am getting that error message which is related to mapping.
If I take any column from Portfolio details table and any column from EIP Reporting FACT- It works.
If I take any column from Portfolio details table and any column from EIP Colletral FACT- It works.
But if I take any column from portfolio table and columns from both FACT tables it gives mapping error...
Hope I am able to explain the issue in a better way now..

Employee Vendor Account

Hi All,
I am into the Re Engineering of the existing implementation project. In the current project, the client has Employees as vendor accounts. But now in the new implementation, they dont want this way. The Finance department does not want employees to have vendor account.
Is there any way other than vendor account, to maintain employees?

Hi Priya,
Usually the employees are created as vendor master for the purpose of tracking the different type of advances given to employees. These advances are tracked through special GL indicators.
Vendor masters for employees are not created for HR-FI integration any way.
I would suggest you to understand their requirement in terms of employee wise advance tracking and proceed.
If they do not have any requirement for tracking the advance emplyoee wise, there is no point in maintaining the employees as vendor masters.
Please provide the exact requirement as to why they require the employee accounts, so as to help you out further on this issue

Data Table will not bind to Dropdown List selection

I get the following error when I try to use my own database tables (As in the "Using Databound Components to Access Databases" tutorial). It is a Oracle9i database. The Table (Vehicle)I use to populate the Dropdown List has around 450 000 rows, and the ComponentRowset returns 362 000 rows when run without a parameter.

Take a look at the Page1 constructor.
It appears that you're trying to bind the datatable to 2
different rowsets. I suggest to clean up this
constructor to make sure you're using the right
rowset.
Your value binding expressions on each column
of the datatable may not be set to the right column.

We have activated Project system at our end.
We are maintaining Budget at cost element level in project system.
we required to maintained in at both cost element and material level which we have given with example wise

If initial we procure Material A - in 2005 at the rate of Rs.500/-
per kg and quantity required for the project is 200 KG
Accordingly we maintained the budget for the same for Cost element for Rs. 100000/-.
If during the execution stage the cost went up to Rs. 700/- Per kg. say in year 2006. and we raise a purchase order for 142 KG where the budget will get exhusted. but we can not able to put the trace on quantity wise budget tracking.
I Do agree that value wise we can put the track but i required it to maintained t quantity wise also.
Please guide us in the same issue.

Hello Gurus,
If i want to find out telephone no wise expenses incurred and vehicle wise expense incurred , which cube i must use. all i know is it is related to Controlling / internal orders and statistical key figures.
any one who has done similar reporting pls guide with the tecnical name of the cube.

BOM consumption workcentrewise in REM scenario

Dear Gurus,
Can system be configured like based on stage of the Product-workcentre wise BOM consumption can be made?
As of now we have final back flushing at the final reporting point.
This requirement had been raised as we practice MES & data is requested for the pull of BOM at concurrent workcentre (stage wise) to track in MES.
Data flow will be between SAP & MES software for Management Information System (MIS).

Hello Vignesh,
In REM All the components will be by default will be Backflushed -Consumption
The confirmation Process it itself is called Backflushing (MFBF).
I don't think in stranded SAP REM you can do the operation wise component consumption.
In repetitive manufacturing all BOM component get backflushh in Discrete you can backflsuh the perticular component. In discrete manufacturing, you have option of defining "backflush" for a particular BOM component.
But in REM all component get backflsuh when you do the order confirmation.

Specific Identification of Costs

Hi,
I sincerely request the participants of this forum to propose a solution for the following:
IFRS prescribes Specific Identification of Costs where the Inventory Items are not interchangeable;
Given the above, consider the following "Used Cars" Scenario
The following used cars with the Following Chassis Numbers (example) are purchased at the values indicated:
Chassis Number    Value
1020                           45000
2040                           40000
3060                           35000
At this point the third car is sold; But SAP calculates the Cost of Sales at the Moving Average price of 40000; But Actually, the Cost (under Specific identification method prescribed by IFRS) should be 35000;
Please advice what can be done in SAP MM/PM so that Cost of Sales is 35000;
The other solutions considered were:
1. Create each car as a separate Item Code (But this involves lot of work from the MM Team);
2. Create an ABAP report which will give vehicle wise Moving Average Price and Specific Costs based on which FI entry to be passed;
But both are work-arounds; Is there any straight solutions in SAP;
Your help would be highly appreciated and points rewarded;
