Vendor Batch Creation

Hi Friends,
I need to some Physical Inventory with Vendor. for this I need to create some new Batches with Vendor.
I have tried in MSC1N and had entered vendor and vendor Batch, but while using this in MI01, system is not picking up this batch and prompting an error as follow
Special stock  O 9BEL001-1 9BEL001 6505010003001A of this material does not exist
Message no. M7076
Diagnosis
No special stock O of the material (batch 9BEL001-1) exists in storage location  for 9BEL001 6505010003001A.
Procedure
Make sure your entries are correct.
Do you want to display the stock overview?
Please suggest what can I do here.

Hi,
You have created a batch for the special stock in a perticular storage location .coorect.But for doing the physical inventory it should have sme stock correct?Please check at MMBE for this special stock of that material.Please find thee batch where the stocks exixts and do the physical inventort for that batch.

  • Inspection type 01 - inspection lot creation based on vendor batch number

    Hi Guys,
    this topic has been discussed several times here, but I was not able to find a suitable answer for my question.
    I am facing the folowing requirement:
    I have activated inspection type 01 for a raw material.
    I am receiving a firs goods receipt from vendor A with vendor batch number 0001.
    The system creates its own goods receipt batch number 0546 based on internal numbering.
    A new inspection lot is created.
    I am posting a second goods receipt from vendor a with vendor batch 0001.
    The system creates a new batch number 0547 based on internal numbering.
    A new inspection lot is created.
    I do not want to get the second inspection lot, because I received vendor batch 0001 before and I am assuming it has been inspected or is in inspection.
    Option 1: Post the second goods receipt against the first internal batch number created.
    I am aware of this need at the moment, but a user is not always checking if there is an internal batch with the same vendor received before.
    Can I customize the system to create inspection lots based on the fact that the vendor batch number was received before?
    Or do I have to use an exit and some ABAP code to get the wanted result?

    You need to use one of the enhancements that Do-Wook has suggested.  There is no standard SAP way to suppress the inspection based on the vendor batch number.
    With the first enhancement you use the system to check for a previously received vendor batch and if one is found, then that batch number is proposed and not the next one from the numbering series.  In this case, the lot isn't created than due to the inspection lot control of the inspection type.
    With the second enhancement you check the vendor batch number and if it's been received you suppress the inspection lot creation and the stock goes right to unrestricted.
    You'll probably need to do one or the other.  Myself, I prefer the first enhancement.

  • GR inspection based on vendor batch

    Hi Guys,
    I have a test that must be done for each
    vendor batch(Not for every GR). Vendor may send materials from same
    batch in two or more deliveries let say in a month. I
    was thinking of using DMR but I couldn't find a way to
    relate it to vendor batch(It's based on quality level and number of inspection lots). When we do MIGO for an
    inward delivery we use vendor batch (we dont create
    our own batch number)
    Please share your thoughts in this matter.

    Hello Shahin,
    if I understand your question correctly, I think that you should take a closer look at the settings in the material master for QM. If you enter the inspection setup you can set the Control of inspection lots with the following values:
    ' ' An inspection lot for each material document item (No lot summary)
    'X' An inspection lot for each purchase order item/order item
    '1' An inspection lot for each material document and material
    '2' An inspection lot for each material and batch
    The setting 2 could be used for example.
    Another thinkable solution is that you use the exit QAAT0001 where you can set your own criteria concerning the inspection lot creation.
    I hope that this information proves usefull in your case.

    Batch Creation can be done in process of Batch Management and it  is used for subdividing the material.
    You can follow the following customising steps for Batch.
    1.Create Characterstics,CT04
    2.Create Class,CL02
    3.In material master, select classification view and tick batch management
    4.Go to Logistic General->Batch Management->Batch Det and back Chk->Condition table-> Define Inventory Management Condition table
    4.2 . Like wise Define Acess Sequense,
    4.3.Strategy Types,
    4.4.batch Serch Procedure,
    4.5.Batch Srech Procedure and allocation,
    4.6..Condition Record: Logistic->Central Function->Batch Management-> Batch Determination->Batch serch Stratergy->For Inventory Manament-> Create
    Once you do all customising steps,Then you can receive the material as per you requirement.Example....Lets say Sulphuric Acid you are receiving 98%,70% and 50% purity.According to you requirement and supplied by the  Vendor you can keep in three different batches.This characterstic of material you can maintain in creating the characterstic.

  • Vendor Batch Field

    Hi,
    I need to make the Vendor Batch Field as an Input Field ( GOITEM-LICHA ) for the movement type 501. It is populatin g for 101 mvt type if the material is batch managed whereas for 501 even though the material is batch managed i am not able to get the field populated.
    I had tried the settings in the field selection for mvt type but in vain.
    Could anyone help me out to get a solution for this scenario.

    Thanks for the mail, but the functionality of 501 basically lies with the Goods Receipt without having a Purchase order. The vendor will be inputted during the MIGO transaction through which we can trigger creation of a PO in the background.

    we require automatic batch creation at the time of confirmation of process order for a particular material not for all the materials existing in the same plant and also not for  all the materials existing in the same material type.
    we have activated batch level at the material level,

    Hi,
    Batch is created automatically either when an order is created or released. (setting in OPKP)
    I hope its not possible during confirmation.

  • Vendor batch and batch field on the inbound delivery

    hi GUrus,
    i have looked through most of the threads where the topic of vendor batch and batch on the inbound delviery has comeup. I'm specifically looking at a scneario where i would want to pass the on the batch number provided by the vendor on the IDOC to batch field on the inbound delivery. The reason for this is , i can look at the batch field in the confirmations tab of the PO, in the purchase order histroy tab of the PO, and also MMBE tcode. the material is also batch managed turned on in hte material master. But the issue is that even though i put the batch provided by vendor in the CHARG field on the ASN IDOC, it is still getting populated in the vendor batch field in the inbound delivery.
    any ideas?

    Problem No 1 : we are working in a process industries with three plants each of them have three order type. we have define MRP group in "OPPR" then assign each MRP group to Orde types in "OPPE". Now the problem is whn i convert plan order in process order for any material systme automaticaly pick the order type PIi01.
    Answer :
    1.Please check the OPPR -Plant and MRP group -Select Order Type Button -Check what Order Type you have assinged here ( PI01( May be the default Process Order Type )
    2.If you are maintaing MRP group ( 0001 or 0002) , did you asisng the same in MRP1 view ?? because
    3.Did you maintain the similar Order type in OPKP -Define Production Scheduling Profile ? -This has highest priority .
    4.Did you maintain correct order type in OPJH-Maintain Order Type ??

    Problem No 2: 2nd Problem is system system is not creating plan order for prrevios dates. say i enter PIR for month of november from first november to 30th november and run MRP on 29th the sytem create plan order on 30th of november with exception message 30.
    Answer : You can plan the order in back dated , if you maitain Satrt date in the Past optiuon in OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling parameters .Goto OPU3 -Select the Order Type -Double click -Maintain 90-60 days in the Start Date in the past in Scheduling Control and Details scheduling tab .

  • Automatic Batch Creation at  the time of GR for Customer Returns

    We are using batch management with functionality of automatic batch creation for variuos movement type 101/103/105/561 etc. with updation of classification in foreground. 
    We are even using automatic batch creation for Inbound delivery. By configuring IMG object "Batch creation Control for Inbound"
    Now we have a new requirement of automatic Batch creation for GR of Customer Return against Customer Return SO (Movement type 651). And updation of classification in foreground.
    I have tried a lot but couldn't find how to configure the same.
    Can I create GR custmor returns 651 thru transaction MIGO?
    Any suggestion how to achieve this.

    Hi,
    What Sairam said is correct, the idea of automatic batch creation is so that when you manaufacture or create an item you can allocate the characteristics to that batch and give it a number.
    You then sell that batch to a customer.
    When the customer returns the item the system should NOT automatically allocate a new batch number to it because this is breaking a VERY important audit trail.
    In batch management (in some inductries more than  others) it is VITAL to have a full audit trail of a bathc so that any problems concerning that batch can be traced back to their origin. What you are trying to do is to break that audit trail (although I can fully understand what you are trying to do).
    I would leave the batch allocation for returns as manual and then when you transafer the item from returns to unrestricted (or quality etc.) tyou can then input the new characteristics.

    Dear Experts,
    I have some confusion with Movement type 531 -
    1) Can we do Batch determination for 531 movement type.
    2)  Can we do the automatic Batch creation at the production order level or confirmation level. In this case i have done the settings but in confirmation screen i have to create batch manually through Menu Path.
    3) I have to enter characteristics value manually in confirmation screen as i have select classify batches in foreground. But in material master we have Batch Class type so can values comes from there to batch of confirmation screen.

    Please read carefully notes 191368 and 194619. These are very old correction notes and they are already implemented on your system, however, they provide the following information about the system design:
    For a by-product or co-product, no batch determination is executed anymore. The subsequent stock determination is not executed anymore either.
    and
    No batch determination for by-products may be executed during the confirmation.
    It means that the batch determination for movemen 531 is not a functionality of the standard system.
    I have never tested this scenario, however, as far as I know, the batch can be created automatically for the by-product if you are using internal number range on OMCZ.

    In the configuration settings of vendor account group (OBD3), SAP provided Postal code City combined as only one field.
    Even after making the Postal code&City field as required in the configuration of a particular Vendor group (OBD3), the system is allowing to create new vendor master under that particular group with out the input of Postal code.
    The system only making the city (CITY1) as required filed but not the Postal code (POST_CODE1) even after setting Postal code&City field as required in OBD3.
    Could you please provide  the activities to be performed apart from the above so as to make Postal code as required filed at the time of the vendor master creation/change

    Yes, it is country specific. It will affect in vendor masters as well Customer masters.
    You have two options now :
    Create a Transaction variant using SHD0 and Make Postal code field as required and create a custom transaction code in SE93 (Transaction with Variant (Variant transaction) and assign here and save. Your requirement will be fulfilled.
    Else you can go for Enhancement using EXIT_SAPMF02K_001 Vendors: User Exit for Checks prior to Saving
    The following user exits exist for vendor master records:
    o   Check entered data before saving
    Please refer to the interface description of the function module to see which data is available.
    If we found any other solution we will let you know the same.

  • Batch creation through ME21N, ME22N and MSC1N

    Hi All,
    Please note we are already using EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001, EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002, EXIT_SAPLV01Z_003, EXIT_SAPLCLFM_002, EXIT_SAPLV01Z_012, EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014 for Batch creation based on different logics for Material type, Plant and PO doc type and currently using these exits for logic it allows us to create new internal batch number during PO creation (ii) change already existing batch with some new number (of couse this number must not be used in some other PO) in PO change and (iii) create new internal batch number using MSC1N, by inputing plant, stor. loc etc. But currently i can create batch with 1 digit, 2 digit, and so on.
    The requirement is to allow user to create batches only with 10 digits during:
    (i)PO creation (ME21N)and PO change(ME22N) and also during
    (ii) transaction MSC1N
    currently in all three ME21N, ME22N or MSC1N it allows to create batch with 1 digit, 2 digit,3 digit and so on . i want to create batch with only 10 digit.
    Please tell this is possible through configuration steps or some changes are required to be done in above said user exit.

    In ME21N i am able to assign batch in PO
    (1) By clicking on 'create' button appearing just side of Batch field in item Tab "Material". I think this create button is appearing due to user exit being applied here. Here it creates and assigns internal number automatically (from range 01in Batch_Clt) based on the Material type and Plant combination (Some logic defined in user exit)
    (2) By putting any random number manually (both numeric and alphanumeric)whether 1 digit, 2 digit,3 digit in Batch field in item Tab "Material" it will accept and in this case also po is saved.
    same way i can do changes in batch number in ME22N and able to save.
    In MSC1N also due to user exit applied if i give Material number alone  and enter, it assignes the internal batch number based on Material type and plant logic defined in user exit.here also if i input some random number manually in batch field it accepts and that random batch number is created for material.
    Now i want that i should be able to put random batch number manually but that number must be out of the number ranges defined in Batch_CLT object (Also the number must be exact 10 digits length as is there in defined number ranges) and not any random alphanumeric number . Also i am not able to understand how it is accepting random alphanumeric number (like ABC111)although all number ranges defined are numeric only.Also external number range is 0008000001 - 0089999999 which is numeric only.

  • While creating PO using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 vendor batch number is not comming.

    The PO's are getting created but i the vendor batch number is not found in the PO.
    Where as i am passing the vendor batch number.

    Please take help from BASIS and SAP, before implementing the OSS note

  • Vendor Invoice creation through EDI (Transaction MIRO)

    Dear All,
    We want to implement Vendor Invoice creation thro EDI .(Transaction
    MIRO)
    We are not finding any suitable EDI Function Module in SAP which
    would take care of more than 20 items and run a MIRO or any
    equivalent transaction .
    Can any one please advise if any Function module exists ? We need it for
    Invoice creation with GR reference as well as without GR reference .
