Vendor Evaluation in Background

Dear Gurus,
For vendor evaluation in Back ground, Do i need to maintain weight keys? then where can i see the output report once after running vendor evaluation in background.
Please advice
Thanks
RS

Dear,
Weighting Key is an identifier under which weighting factors for a number of main criteria can be grouped together and saved. If you know that you want to carry out an evaluation with certain main criteria and certain weighting factors, you can save this combination under a weighting key.
When you carry out the next vendor evaluation, just enter the relevant weighting key instead of entering a weighting factor for each individual criterion. The stardard two keys available are 01, 02.
If you do not have the weighting key, use the possible entries facility.
Next, in the background processing, usually evaluate vendors belonging to the same group (that is, vendors who have the weighting key). However, it is possible that you have selected an interval that contains different groups of vendors. For this reason, you may not enter a Weighting Key.
However the evaluation with weighting keys are preferred (basing on your organizations requirements and client performance, these may not be required). If you have enough time and interested to review the subject please have a look at: http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/EN/data/pdf/MMISVE/MMISVE.pdf?bcsi_scan_DAD819A53026B58E=0&bcsi_scan_filename=MMISVE.pdf

  • ME6G - Vendor Evaluation in Background

    Dear Gurus,
Can explain me this transcation ME6G - Vendor Evaluation in Background . How to execute this by steps?
    Please advice me
    THanks
    Rs

    Dear,
You can evaluate your vendors on a regular basis by means of background processing. The Evaluation in the Background function can be found in the Purchasing menu.
If you want to start a background processing request for vendor evaluation, you need a variant (to limit the number of vendors to be evaluated, for example).
    Maintaining and Displaying Variants
When you invoke the Evaluation in the Background function, you can display existing variants in editing mode of the step list, and create new variants or change existing ones.
To do so, choose Edit Steps and then
    Goto Variant (to display), or
    Goto Variant maintenance (to create)
    Procedure
Choose Master data - Vendor evaluation.- Follow-on functions - Evaluation in the background.
On the initial screen, enter a job name and the name of the variant. Specify when the background evaluation should take place and how often it should be repeated.
    Save the background processing request.
You require certain authorizations in order to carry out evaluations in the background and define new variants. If you have any queries in this connection, please consult your system administrator.
If you require more detailed information about working with background processing requests, please refer to the documentation Getting Started with R/3.
    Subsequent Maintenance of Background Evaluations
In background processing, you usually evaluate vendors belonging to the same group (that is, vendors who have the same weighting key). However, it is possible that you have selected an interval that contains different groups of vendors. For this reason, you have not entered a weighting key.
To ensure that the scores are calculated correctly, you must therefore subsequently maintain the weighting key for such evaluation records at certain intervals of time.
The evaluation records in question can be determined using the analysis report Vendors Without Weighting Keys.
This function can be found in the purchasing menu under Master data - Vendor Evaluation - Follow-on functions - Vendors without weighting key
From this report you can branch directly into the screens for maintaining evaluations.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

  • Background job in vendor evalution

    Dear All,
How to processing ME6G Evaluation in background
    Regards,

    XYS,
I can't go into all the details here. Each BW InfoPackage will trigger on or several background jobs in the source system (depending on the number of data packages). To accomplish this, BW logs into the source system using ALEREMOTE user ID.
BW then waits on these jobs to send the data. If this does not happen, you get the error message. So look in the source system why the jobs fail (job log, system log, dumps). Maybe they are running very long due to a performance problem in your extractor.
Otherwise, check the RFC connections, ALE commnunication (tRFC).

  • Vendor Evaluation With Non Standard Main and Sub Criteria

    Hi Gurus
I have a requirement wherein I  have to evaluate a vendor on non stanadard Main Criterias like
    1. Productivity  with sub criteria as Receipt / Excepected Yield, for which I have used Scoring method 2
2.Quality Standards with Sub Criteria,- Germination (%),Genitic Purity % , Field level flags, for which i have used scoring method 7 by activating user exit- MM06L001
3.Raw Seed to Clean Seed ratio, with the same sub criteria and with the above scoring method and user exit.
The weightages given to the above three are 40 , 35 and  25 respectively.
Can you please tell me how to calculate the values for subcriterias( for example for my main criteria 2. i want to assign the weightaghes for sub criterias - Germination - 50 , Genitic Purity %- 30, & Field level flags - 20, . along with smoothin factors.
I want to automise the whole process and run the evaluation in the background.
An early reply will be very helpful to me.

  • Vendor Evaluation Index Recalculate

    Dear Sir,
We have a scenario where we have already calculated Vendor Evaluation Score for a Vendor and saved it . Now we want to recalculated the score again as we have done some changes in the img setting . Kindly guide us how to go for score reclculation . Can simply running the tcode ME61 , recalculate the score and overwrite the already saved score .
    Pl help us .
    Regards
    Sonia Agarwal

    Hi.
Recalculate the scores by ME63 & not by ME61.
It is not possible to recalculate every time the vendor evaluation scores manually by ME63.
Create background job for this with T.code ME6G.

  • Vendor Evaluation BAPI?

    Dear Gurus,
Are there any BAPIS available for vendor evaluation?
I had created a few vendor evaluation criteria that requires manual input of the vendor score. However, these scores cannot be further breakdown to a plant level.
Thus, I am trying to find a bapi that allows me to update vendor evaluation scores for those criteria I defined at the plant level.
    Please advice. Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Joseph

    Hi W1N,
If we run ME6H, there is an option to break down the scores to the plant/site level. I was wondering if there are any BAPIs that can achieve the same functionality.
Based on this report, I think that in the background, SAP still tracks the scores at plant level?

  • Automatic Evaluation Data (Vendor Evaluation)

    Hi Experts,
We have defined vendor evaluation in such a way. Price, Quality & Delivery - Automatic Evaluation and Service - Manually Entered. When we do Automatic evaluation thru T-Code ME61, Score of price, quality and delivery appears in the system. How can we see the backend data from which these scores derives. So that we can explain user, that the scores have come due to following data / calculation done by system in background.
Can anybody help me. Full points to helping answers.
    Regards
    GR

    Hi GR,
In Help documentation you have the details how each score is getting calculated. We can use this documentation to explain to the client. Also you can take the help of OSS notes.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/8d/b985b0414511d188fc0000e8322f96/frameset.htm
Regarding to know how the system arrived at that score, is very difficult as it calculates the score by taking all the trasactions happend for that period. And no where in the system it shows how it calculated per transaction-wise.
But if you are so determined, note down the previous score for the vendor, then do one transaction ( PO and GR). Manually Claculate the for one perticular criteria score as defined in the Help documentation. Then run the evaluation and cross check your manually calculated score to the new score.
Hope this helps you in answering your query,
    With Regards,
    Krishna

  • Vendor Evaluation TAb in Service Entry Sheet (ML81N)

    Hi,
While creating a service entry sheet, we have a tab named 'Vendor Evaluation".
In that tab there are two fields.
We want  to add more fields there.
    Is it possible?
    Regards,

    Hi,
Please review the note 79166 which explains that you can setup 2
sub criteria one with 'C' and one with 'D' using the standard criteria
    04 'service'.
Now, if you need more than 2 sub-criteria, you will have to use a user
exit to use your own sub-criteria and calculation.
Please have a look to note 45748 for more detail of the user exit for
    vendor evaluation.
Run transaction SMOD , enter enhancement MM06L001 . Then you can see
    three functional modules:
    - ATTRIBUTES
      Extension          MM06L001

evaluation is carried out in the background
EXIT_RM06LBEW_001 used for the quality criteria when the scores for
                        semi-automatic and automatic subcriteria are
                        determined
EXIT_SAPLMEL0_001 used for the general criteria
The following data is passed on to the function modules:
    XLIFNR  (Vendor number)
    XEKORG  (Purchasing organization)
    XHKRIT  (Main criterion)
    XTKRIT  (Subcriterion)
    XKRTYP  (Scoring method)
The function modules then supply the scores in the parameter XBEURT.

  • Perform VENDOR EVALUATION for MORE THAN ONE VENDORS at a time

    Hello all,
Please guide for any process where i can perform Vendor Evaluation for MORE THAN ONE vendors AT A TIME.
At my location there are around thousand vendors, which are to be evaluated, and difficult to perform the evaluation process one-by-one.
    (ME61/ME62/ME63)
Detailed replies with various possibilities would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Joy Ghosh

The vendor evaluation for some thousand vendors at the same time has already been in SAP long before they developed LSMW. The purpose of LSMW is to load data from a legacy system, of course you can (mis-)use it for a lot other things.
But you should not always use LSMW if you are to lazy to go thru the SAP standard menu to find a transaction like ME6G
There you define a job that runs RM06LBAT report.
You first have to define a selection variant for this report. this can be done in SE38 by entering the report name, select variant, clicking display, then entering a name for the variant and clicking Create.

  • Vendor Evaluation

Business Requires that for Vendor Evaluation, the scores to be at  material level  for the same vendor which means if they put the vendor number in the report parameter , the system will give them the vendor performance   at  material level .
    Example :
Materials  A and B were  purchased 10 times from vendor 100001 so the system will give:
The  on time delivery for Material A as 100 %  ( if he did good performance )
The on time delivery for material B as 50% ( if he did bad performance  ) ,they  donu2019t want the system to give the on time delivery for both the material as 75% (100+50 )
The benefit of this is that SRS can find out another resources for the material with bad performance .
    Any Thoughts on that?

    Hi Tafanzas,
The Vendor Evaluation system actually collects data on material level and then accumulates it for display in e.g. trs ME65. The data are collected in LIS and you can run the analyses from there using trs ME6H.

  • Vendor Evaluation Report

    Hi All,
We have a problem. The vendor evaluation report is not considering the rejections of goods and shows the quality as 100.
The client has not maintained any scores for quality. This may be the reason, or is it mandatory to have QM module to evaluate vendors based on quality??
Currently they receive goods into GR blocked stock first. If its fine, then they goods receipt it or else they return it using Mov Type 124. Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards

    hi
for vendor evalution you have to do the necessary settings in MM and QM. then you have to carry out the transactions in MM and QM

  • Custom report for vendor evaluation

    Hai All,
My client requires custom report to show the vendor evaluation i.e., it has to show the working how it has arrived at the final score, to be clear systems works automatically and displays the final score based on certain main and sub criteria that working has to be shown in a table format for the purpose of TPM  audit.
    Regards
    R.Senthilnambi

    Hi Senthil,
u can download the documents from sap help to show the logic to ur audit, how sap will calculate the scores.
If they insist for certain data with logic, u can develop a z-report and show them for 10 or 20 materials.
    hope this resolves ur problem

  • Goods receipt sub critaria in vendor evaluation

In vendor evaluation there is one sub-critaria goods receipt under main critaria quality, in this how system calcutae the tax.
i went through the sap help doc, in this it is mentiaoned that
"When you run an automatic re-evaluation for a vendor, the system selects all the incoming inspection lots for the vendor that lie within the validity period and calculates the average of the scores. The result is the vendor's score for the quality of goods received."
i m not understand with this. plz specify in your words and where we maintain the validity period?

    Hi,
In the sub-criteria Goods Receipt, system dows not calculate tax. In the main criteria of Quality, if your material is maintained for quality inspection type 01, then system creates inspection lots for GRN. The score of each inspection lot is calculated based on you settings (For example based on usage decision). The system then saves these scores of each inspection lot. These scores are then averaged out for all the inspection lots those lie within the validity periods.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Prashant
