Vendor in Multiple Roles

Dear Experts,
As per my client scenerio, They have A vendor Who is a service provider and he provides raw material also. Can I creat or extend in two Vendor account groups (ie DOME & SERV)?

Hi,
If same vendor providing service and supplying material, Is anything affecting your business process? Better have only one Vendor Master.
For providing service: You will have Service PR, Service PO, SES and MIRO
{For service, you should have different Service Group, if you need any report at the end }
For supplying raw material: You will have PR, PO, MIGO and MIRO.
{For material, you should have different material Group, purchasing group, if you need any report at the end}
But in same PO you can not have raw material and service.

Report to fetch assigned transactions for multiple role.

Hi,
I am looking for some report or the way, i can get the list of transaction assigned to multiple roles in one go.
Actually i tried SUIM, but here i have to specify one role at a time and have the list of transactions assigned to it.
My scenario is, i have around 100 composite roles. Now there is a requirment for a report, which gives information of transactions assigned to each role. If i do it one by one, i have to do it for 100 times.
Please suggest the best and quickest way.

To do this for composites I disagree with Julius on using Excel or Acces
Try the SAP query tools, they're there for you. If you go to the quickviewer (SQVI) you can easily join tables AGR_AGRS and AGR_1251 by AGRNAME. Now if you look for object S_TCODE you can see the relation between a tcode assignment and a composite role.

Visual Totals and users in multiple roles

Hello,
I have a few questions regarding dimension security and visual totals enabled.
The infrastructure:
- multiple roles
- users are members of multipe roles
1) if I have multiple roles and the user is member of multiple roles - if I set "Visual Totals" to true on one role it does not work?
2) same as "1" but if I set the visual totals on all roles it does not work?
is this the intended behavior? - does it only work if the user is only in one role? or do I do something wrong?
We want to have on two roles visual totals and on the others not - if possible. And if the users is member of other roles it would be OK if he sees all values..
3) How would Visual Totals work if I allow some nodes but deny all children of the node?

User exit after selecting vendor with multiple bank accounts

Hi,
the requirement is that a pop-up should appear after the user selects a vendor with multiple bank accounts, in transaction MIRO, FB60, F-43 and a few other transactions.
I was thinking of a user exit. Honestly, I wonder if this is technically possible ?

we r having Single Company Code & Multiple Plant , and our vendor Having Multiple Location so through
Company Code i want to Create only one Vendor but whenever order will be placed then Purchase order should Contain different Address And For FI Point Single Account Should be mentained.
Or what would be the Best Pratices is there...

hi,
You can do one thing...Do create the One time vendor in the VMR with the One time vendor account group defined in it...
So that when you create the PO, the details you will be able to enter your self at every time and account group will also be same...

SMSY//Logical component definition - multiple roles for one system?

as our client has a divided system landscape (three-tier operational line as well as two-tier development line) some systems have more than one role to fill. The development system on development line is source system for all developments, as well as post-processing system for retrofit purpose from operational line. The maintenance system on operational line is target system for developments from development line, as well as source system for maintenance activities on operational line.
--> What are the consequences of assigning multiple roles to one system?
--> Is there anonther option than assigning multiple roles?

We have Event Manger 7.0 installed into a stand-alone SCM 7.0 system. When trying to set this up in SMSY, the only options given for setting up the Logical System is to associate with with EHP3 or EHP4 for in ECC 6.0.
Obviously we have not installed EM into ECC. So where are the other appropriate entries in SMSY for recognizing that EM is installed in SCM?
1) This system must be maintained as SCM 7.0 in SMSY and not as SAP ERP 6.0 or EHPX for SAP ERP 6.0, this is the reason as you can see this system SCM 7.0 can be assigned just to SAP ERP 6.0 or EHPX for SAP ERP 6.0.
2) There's no Main Instance available to be selected when you have a SAP SCM 7.0. You must select one or more of the following main instances below.

To load balance CAS servers, you need to use the Windows Network Load Balancing or the Hardware Load Balancing. For more details about this, you can refer to the following article.

If you want to deploy DAG in your environment and you also want to load balance your CAS servers, it is recommended to install Mailbox server role and CAS role on different servers. Because DAG members utilize Windows Failover Clustering, which can’t co-exist

Add 1 transaction to multiple roles

I am responsible for the authorization of the sap customers for my company.
We have multiple roles for multiple company's within our own company.
Butt when i must add one transaction to the role admin, i must ad the transaction for al the roles of the different company's. admin company 1, admin company 2, and so on.
Is there an transaction i can do mass change's for multiple role's.

There is a another way also, it could be done.
Create One common Role - zrole_common
This should be added to all admins of all companies
Create seperate Role for each company ( excluding auth in common role).
zrole_company1
zrole_company2 etc.
Now assign zrole_common and zrole_company1 to company-1 admin.
Now whenever, you wanted to add any common auth obj, add it to zrole_common and regenerate it, This will be effected to all admins.
I am not sure, how your Roles are maintained now. But if possible, go for this proven way.

Multiple roles assigned to an user

Hi folks,
My question sounds to be something weird, but wanted to be cautious. I see a lot of users in my environment with multiple roles assigned to them. When i checked the roles of an user who has three roles assigned to him, i noticed that all the roles have some tables in common with the same grants in all the three roles, and all these three roles are assigned to the same user. Will there be any problem?
An example to explain my senerio...
User scott has three roles A,B and C assigned to him. All the three roles have execute on xy.abc procedure and select,insert,update,delete on xy.xyz table. Will there be any problem to the user who is assigned all these three roles. Will there be any confusion from oracle to chooose from which role?

tries to hold all the privileges does it do a

Hi Vanita,
Why do you want to remove a t-code from all the roles. Are you no longer going to use the t-code. If this is the case then you can lock the transaction code in T-code SM01 so that no one can use it. But this would effect other users as well, it should only be locked if no one should use the particular T-code.
Another alternative is to write a program to remove the particular T-Code from the table AGR_TCODES where the relation ship between the role and t-code is stored.

S_TABU_LIN in multiple roles

There is such situation:
We are restricting the values of infoobject using S_TABU_LIN
Everything is working fine if the user has authorization assigned only
by one role.
If the user has more then one role assigned then user has only values
authorized that are included in the first role. All authorizations from
other roles are not available

The problem is that user can get only that values from /BIC/ZMINISTRY
that are authorized in role1
Values authorized in role2 and role3 are not available.
What could be a problem???

Hi. I do not need a composite role. There are created about 70 single roles. One for each business division. If the user have assigned only one role (works with one divison), everyhing is fine. But if the user have to work with several divisions, there is a need to assign multiple roles. The responsibilities for the each user change all the time so the roles that are assigned to him change too.

What happens if we assign multiple roles to one user

example : role A has execute command for field X and another role B has read only command for the same field X, what happens if both the roles are assignes to user John?

Can multiple roles be assigned to users of the same PC?

Hi,
I'm using Contribute 3, and am set up as the administrator of a web site.
I've created a new role for other users, and want to test the new role and its related permissions.
But when I open the connection key attachment on my PC, it automatically picks up the administrator role when Contribute opens.
Does anybody know whether it's possible to have multiple Contribute roles in use for the same web site, on the same PC, preferably password protected?

I've provided Contribute users with the facility to create new pages
based on a standard Dreamweaver template.
In the future, if the template changes, I'll download the user-created
pages from the server, but is it possible to automatically reflect
template changes in these pages - as with the automatic update
indicator available when creating template-based pages in Dreamweaver.

Return to vendor with multiple ship-to locations

We are utilizing vendor returns with delivery (movement 161) and for business reasons we purchase material from Vendor A, address 1 but may return material Vendor A, address 1, address 2, or address 3 depending on their instruction to us.
For awhile we have been utilizing the Delivery Address tab and maintaining address records in MEAN transaction, however that is no longer sufficient for our business.
We are trying to accomplish this task now through the use of 1 of the following options. Can anyone think of consequences of doing each of these? Or are there other ideas someone might have?
1) Write a copy control requirement that changes the ship-to address on the RL delivery type from the SH partner (which is the customer assigned in the purchasing view of the vendor master next to the Returns Vendor checkbox) to the GS partner from the PO.
       a. Weu2019re not sure if this will even work, but with this option, we feel it allows us to control the ship-to location from the RTV purchase order.
       b. This option will also allow us to continue any vendor reporting off of the VN partner (ME80FN, MCE3, etc).
2) Create multiple VN vendor master records, each with the Returns Vendor checkbox and their own customer master. Link all VNu2019s through the same PI partner (for financial transactions). Enter RTV purchase orders based on the VN vendor master that contains the correct ship-to address.
       a.This option will work, but for reporting (ME80FN, MCE3, etc) we would have to create variants that include all of the VNu2019s that are linked together through partner determination to make sure we are capturing all volume associated with that vendor (purchases and returns). These reports donu2019t give a standard option to just report off of a PI partner.
       b.There is human interaction needed to update variants each time a new VN is partnered.
               i. Does anyone know of a way to update a variant dynamically based on a new partner relationship?
