Vendor Master Data - Field SMTP_ADDR (email address)

Hello Gurus, I need you help!!
We have recorded a legacy for transaction FK02, because we needed to enter a large amount of e-mails in vendor master records. However, this field was not available in the transaction when carrying out the recording, so we filled in the LFURL field (URL).
Is there any way we can relate these fields so that the URL entries appear in the e-mail address field?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Christine

  • Issue with Vendor Master Data-field notes ID  (Table ADRT-REMARK)

    Hello,
I have a issue related to Vendor Master Data maintenance.
The client wants to maintain the u201CNotesu201D field in vendor master data. The field gets populated from the field u201CADTR-REMARKu201D table ADRT.
Now client wants to maintain some alphabet to distinguish some of vendors (i.e. 1250) out of 5000 vendors. We tried to develop LSMW, however it is not getting generated as this field is not getting recorded as the field is inside the tab (next to e-mail id field) which requires click. It seems BDC also is also not working as it is not populating these fields except e-mail id.
The table ADRT contains filed ADDRNUMBER which is the same field in LFA1, and it is ADRNR (Address number).
Also please note that CATT/e CATT is not permitted at all the client level.
Can any body suggest the way to change the master data through some way.
    Regards,
    Chepan

    Hi,
Did you heard about SAP GUI Scripting? There is SAP functionality - seems to Excel Macros. You are able to record SAP  like macros, then after small code modifcation (code is in Visual Basic), and special excel origin (there could be excel prepared like for CATT) upload data to VMD.
If you have any questions I try to help you?
    Best regards,

  • LSMW -- Vendor master data upload / e-mail address

    Hi Expert,
I would like to use LSMW to upload some data of vendor master.
Who can tell me which structure include the filed of " E-mail " which shown in the address view of vendor master ?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
When you are doing the recording for FK02 or XK02
    Try to check
    Address Check box
USE CENTRAL ADDRESS MANAGEMENT (if you do not check this check box, your email address and standard communication method will not be available)
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • Vendor master data-name 1 40 or 35 characters?

    Hi,
In vendor master data, field name1, the data element show it has 40 characters, but in LFA1, the field length is 35.
If I key in forty chaacters, and save, it is successful, go back to see it, it really display 40 characters, but check table:LFA1, I see only 35 characters, where other 5 character store? what is the logic of this?
    Thanks.

    Message no. AM228
    Diagnosis
The address data maintained in field NAME1 occupies 40 of 40 characters The last 5 characters of the field NAME1 can be used only with restrictions.
    System Response
In this form the data can be saved and used up to the complete length of 40 characters.
In some scenarios, the system only uses the first 35 characters of name fields, of the fields 'Street', 'City', 'District', as well as the first 10 characters of the field 'Search Term 1'.
    These cases are:
ALE: the address data can only be transferred with 35 characters (search term 1 only 10 characters) in the case of some ALE message types (IDOC types) for reasons of compatibility with other releases and components. The message types in question are:
    DEBMAS
    CREMAS
    DEBCOR
    CRECOR
The problems do not occur if the relevant address data in IDOC ADRMAS is sent in each case, together with these message types.
EDI: the address data can only be transferred with 35 characters (search term 1 only 10 characters) with the standard UN/EDIFACT for reasons of compatibility.
Print: addresses are formatted with only 35 characters in some print forms for standard envelope windows. If the address number is in the address output structures, you can output the address fields in full length in forms. (See OSS note 145753 for FI forms.)
    Procedure
If you do not want the address data to be truncated in these scenarios, only use the first 35 characters of the name fields, of the fields "Street", "City", "District" or the first 10 characters of the field "Search Term 1" during maintenance, or abbreviate the texts, if necessary.
    Effects on Customizing
You can define when this system message is to be issued in accordance with your requirements.
You do this in Customizing as follows: Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
The application area and message number

  • Alternate address in vendor master data

    Hi,
I have an requirment to maintain the Alternate address in vendor master data.
My client is having requirement that the vendor must be same but may be situated in two different locations so they wants to maintain two addresses in vendor master.
If we maintain parner functions then we have to create an additional master data of vendor which is not accepting by the client and they want to create only one vendor with two different addresses.
Can any one please suggest me how to maintain alternate address in vendor master? as i could not able to see any alternate address fields in vendor master data.
    Best Regards, Abdul

    Hi Chakrapani,
In that case if we use parner function we have to create addtitional mater data right? please find the below schenario.
I have vendor number "X" where as an invoicing party I created vendor "A" which I maintained as parner function of invoicing party with different address.
If invoice generated on which vendor account this invoice will reflect? if it in "X" or in "A".
If the invoice open item creates in vendor account number "X" then it would be fine with me, also if possible please let me know how to configure the partner functions and the functionality in this case.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Best Regards, Abdul

  • Which table of field "EXTENSION1" of vendor master data

    Hi Experts,
I key in data in filed "EXTENSION1" (data line) for vendor master data, which table I can get this field?
    Thanks.

Use this trick I learned from an ABAP friend of mine. Has a little of trial and error in it but its really good.
    1. Open 2 SAP windows
    2. In window 1, Go to ST05
    3. Activate Trace
    4. Go to window 2, access the field which you need to learn what table it is in. Ex. Go to XK02 to view the field. enter data in it.
    5. Go to window 1, Deactivate Trace
    6. In window 1, display trace
    7. Check each table written there in SE11 and see if your field is in that table.

  • Add additional field in Vendor master data for VAT Reg. No.?

Add additional field in Vendor master data for VAT Reg. No.?
Hi I need to add one additional field for other VAT Reg. number in vendor master data FK01, We currently have two field
    Current Settings:
    Country : LFAS-LAND1
    VAT registration no.: LFAS-STCEG
I need to add one additional field for text information. Is this possible?
    Thanks you very much
    Luis G.

If you want to add new fields that are not possible from config (check with your consultant) you need to implement BADIs
    In SPRO, go to:
    >Logistics-General
    ->Business Partner
    -->Vendors
    --->Control
    >Adoption of Cusomter's Own Master Data Fields
and read the documentation provided there.
You will need to implement following BAPIs
    Processing Master Data Enhancements: VENDOR_ADD_DATA
    Customer Subscreens: VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS
I am not aware of any other way to add new fields to Vendor master (however, check with your consultant for config related screen modifications)
Should you need any further info to implement it, post back (read it thoroughly first, it's quite self-explanatory).
    regards,
    Aabhas

  • Vendors PAN Number field Mandatory in Vendor Master Data

    HI,
I am working in 4.7 EE version. I want to make Vendors Pan Number field mandatory while creating Vendor Master Data. As per my knowledge we cannot use Validation for this purpose.
    Regards
    Sudhakar

    Hi Parag,
In ECC 6.0 you get a tab CIN details in vendor master itself wherein you can maintain PAN no. sales tax no. etc of the Vendor.
you dont need to use any field for PAN no... If this is followed then wht you are saying is correct. But the problem is that we want to make PAN no. in CIN details tab mandatory and that is not possible.

  • Bank Account field in Vendor Master Data

    Hi Guys,
Anyone of you might have faced this kind of problem.
The field for bank account in vendor bank details provides only 18 digits.
We have a couple of Polish and Russian vendors which have 20 digits in the bank account and because SAP cuts off the first 2 digits payments cannot be made.
Will it be possible to extend the number of digits in the bank account field? If yes,
can anyone let me know how it can me done.
    Thanks
    JR

The situations where REGUH-ZBNKN (bank account number) is longer than 18 digits. in this case the bank account number continues on field REGUH-BKREF (reference).
You have to implement OSS#96624 to solve this problem
    Regards.
(Finding more detail in OSS Note)
    Symptom
This note refers to business partner bank account numbers with more than 18 digits.
Banks of certain countries use bank account numbers with more than 18 digits. Consequently, these bank account numbers cannot be stored completely in the bank account number field of the R/3 System, but are to be used for the payment transactions with the bank in the data medium exchange (DME).
    Solution
Depending on the country of the bank of the business partner, we recommend that you enter that part of the account number which does not fit into the respective 'Bank account number' input field in the 'Reference specifications for bank details' field or in the 'Bank control key' field of the customer or vendor master data.
We recommend that you use the fields in the R/3 System as follows:
China- Various account number formats, some have more than 18 digits
    - Save the first 18 digits in the 'Bank account number' field
    - If the Chinese bank account number is longer than 18 digits, the
remaining digits are saved in the 'Reference specifications for bank
    details' field.

  • Obligatory fields "iban" and "swift" in vendor master data creation

    Hi,
I need a way to get obligatory iban and swift in vendor master data.
I need to check if iban and swift have been filled during creation or modification of a vendor (transactions XK01, MK01, FK01,XK02, MK02, FK02 ).
    In user-exit ZXF05U01(function EXIT_SAPMF02K_001) I can't check iban and swift fields.
Do you know another way to solve my issue?
    Thanks in advance. Stefano.

    Hi Stefano,
swift codes are data from financial institute (and not vendor data). So try exit (CMOD) SAPLBANK (but I dont no if it will work!).
As i remember (at time iban where introduced), there was an exit to check consistency (mean "rules") to propose/create iban from account no of vendor. But i cant remember the name of this exit, so you may search in sap notes for this exit.
    Best regards,
    Christian

  • Restrict access for Vendor Master Data

    Hi all.
Our company structure is like below:
    Single instance, just one mandant.
Company codes like 1001, 3001, 6002, 6006, etc... over the world.
At some companies just the central administration can create vendor for the companies using the transaction XK01.
Now we need to give access to users from one of our company from other country but we can´t give access to transaction XK01 because just the central administration can create the master data for the vendors.
I already read about the object F_LFA1_AEN that is possible to create some field groups and give access just for the rigth groups. I also read that this authorization groups don´t have effect on the vendor master data like address.
How can I restrict access for the vendor master data? I´m thinking to give access to transaction FK01 and MK01 and restrict access for create a new vendor, I only want that the users can create the data for a new company or new purchase organization.
    Thank you
    Darlei Friedel

among many other authorization objects, you find following three:
    F_LFA1_GEN general data
    F_LFA1_BUK company code data
    M_LFM1_EKO purchasing org data.
If the user does not have authorization for F_LFA1_GEN , then he cannot maintain general data.
