Vendor Master Data: Tax Numbers for Bidders

Hi experts,
I would like to maintain Tax Numbers for Bidders (SRM7).
I can see that, somehow, corresponding table to handle tax numbers is not displayed when maitaining Bidders from portal. Such table is only displayed when maintaining Suppliers.
Does anybody know why? In order to implement the requirement, I thought of using Search Term 1 as Tax Number for Bidders, but I donot really like this way, taking into account that there is already a standard table to handle tax numbers :S.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Vicente

Hi Vicente,
This is true. You cannot maintain tax numbers for bidders because they are not yet the finalised suppliers with whom you would want to carry out business. Only once you have accepted a bidder via supplier registration or supplier qualification, will these bidders be converted to suppliers. Then you can maintain tax numbers for them.
The norm is that sensitive information like Tax details should not be maintained until you do business with the potential supplier.

Nikhil

your post is rubbish, substitutions and validations are in use in document posting, not for master data creation. Even the OP told this, when he asked his question...

  • Match code for Vendor Master Data on PAN

    Hi
Vendor match code will work only if the name are identical. But for the same vendor, user create multiple vendors.
For Ex: If the vendor name is ABC Private Limited, User puts different names like ABC Pvt Ltd, ABC P Ltd, etc.
Hence the match code check is over ridden.
For that reason, i want check on the basis of PAN number.
There is no field for PAN number in match codes field.
Please suggest how it can be maintained

    Hi ,
Use the exit SAPMF02K , which is specially ment for vendor master data .

  • Restrict access for Vendor Master Data

    Hi all.
Our company structure is like below:
    Single instance, just one mandant.
Company codes like 1001, 3001, 6002, 6006, etc... over the world.
At some companies just the central administration can create vendor for the companies using the transaction XK01.
Now we need to give access to users from one of our company from other country but we can´t give access to transaction XK01 because just the central administration can create the master data for the vendors.
I already read about the object F_LFA1_AEN that is possible to create some field groups and give access just for the rigth groups. I also read that this authorization groups don´t have effect on the vendor master data like address.
How can I restrict access for the vendor master data? I´m thinking to give access to transaction FK01 and MK01 and restrict access for create a new vendor, I only want that the users can create the data for a new company or new purchase organization.
    Thank you
    Darlei Friedel

among many other authorization objects, you find following three:
    F_LFA1_GEN general data
    F_LFA1_BUK company code data
    M_LFM1_EKO purchasing org data.
If the user does not have authorization for F_LFA1_GEN , then he cannot maintain general data.

    Hello,
is there any other functionality for the contact person in the vendor master data apart from the merely infomation purposes?
I mean, is it possible to use it, for example, for selecting a destination for the emails in the purchase orders, etc?
    Regards

    Hi,
we can maintain alternative e-mail id, Phone Number, Fax Number etc. for a Vendor, go to MK02 ehter the vendor you want to change, in the Basic data view under communication tab page you can maintain all these parameters apart from the one whcih will be marked as Standard for communication.

  • Add additional field in Vendor master data for VAT Reg. No.?

Add additional field in Vendor master data for VAT Reg. No.?
Hi I need to add one additional field for other VAT Reg. number in vendor master data FK01, We currently have two field
    Current Settings:
    Country : LFAS-LAND1
    VAT registration no.: LFAS-STCEG
I need to add one additional field for text information. Is this possible?
    Thanks you very much
    Luis G.

If you want to add new fields that are not possible from config (check with your consultant) you need to implement BADIs
    In SPRO, go to:
    >Logistics-General
    ->Business Partner
    -->Vendors
    --->Control
    >Adoption of Cusomter's Own Master Data Fields
and read the documentation provided there.
You will need to implement following BAPIs
    Processing Master Data Enhancements: VENDOR_ADD_DATA
    Customer Subscreens: VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS
I am not aware of any other way to add new fields to Vendor master (however, check with your consultant for config related screen modifications)
Should you need any further info to implement it, post back (read it thoroughly first, it's quite self-explanatory).
    regards,

  • Vendor Master Data Check

    Dear Gurus,
I have to configure certain checks for Vendor Master duplication checks.
Can you please tell me the node in IMG and revent details for this config or if you can give the link.
    Regards
    Raju

    Hello,
If I understand your questions correct, you would like to generate a pop-up list in case if you are going to create a vendor or customer master record with the same name.
    You can do this by:
IMG ==> Financial Accounting ==> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ==> Vendor Accounts ==> Master Data ==> Preprations for Creating Vendor Master Data ==> Change message control for Vendor Master Data
Give message numbers 144 and 145
Put I (Information) for Online as well as batch.
I would not recommend you put E (Error) as there are possibility that there may be vendors or customers with the same name exists in your business.
Hope this solves your problems otherwise please let me know.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • LSMW - Vendor Master DATA - IBAN management

    Dear SAP guru's,
I'm trying to integrate the IBAN in vendor master data with my LSMW (batch recording techno).
unfortunately, I do not have the IBAN information in structure BLFBK
BLFBK Vendor Master Record Bank Data (Batch Input Structure)
DO you know how we can integrate an IBAN by LSMW? Batch recording seems to be too risky..
And I do not have the BBAN info, I only receive the IBAN...
    Thanks for your comments,
    Karim

    Hello,
With batch, it is not possible to have IBAN details updated in Vendor master data. This should be done manually, when the IBAN
number is entered system will do the validation checks as per the legal requirements using the specific Function modules for each country.
Nevertheless, there is batch input program RFBIKR00 which is used for processing the following data:
    - Creating and changing vendor master data
    - Creating bank master data
Please, note that the program RFBIKR00 cannot import master data which contains the usual account number and the IBAN at the same time. There has to be either an IBAN or an account number in the imported file.
There are 2 scenarios how to get all the data imported, depending from
    the source system:
    1. If the source is also an SAP system, you can import the account numbers using the RFBIKR00 and then transport the IBANs separately using the ALE distribution (RFIBAN_ALE).
    2. If the source is a non SAP System, then file contains always two entries for a payment instruction. In the first one the account number will be imported, in the second one the IBAN. The functionality "IBAN without account number" is prerequisited and has to be active in the target system. In this scenario 2 payment instructions would be created in the vendor master(LFBK), one with the account number, another one with the IBAN.
I hope this helps to resolve the problem.
    Thanks and regards,
    Suresh Jayanthi.

  • Gaps in vendor master data number range

Hi, we have noticed there are sometimes gaps (missing numbers) in the internally issued vendor master data number range. Does anybody have any idea why this happens and how to avoid this?
    Many Thanks for your answers!
    Lucie

    Hi Lucie,
This happens due to buffering of the number range in question. You can go to SNRO transaction (object KREDITOR) and change the buffering options (deactivate them, actually). Please, consult your ABAP team before doing this. For more info, see note 62077.

  • Vendors PAN Number field Mandatory in Vendor Master Data

    HI,
I am working in 4.7 EE version. I want to make Vendors Pan Number field mandatory while creating Vendor Master Data. As per my knowledge we cannot use Validation for this purpose.
    Regards
    Sudhakar

    Hi Parag,
In ECC 6.0 you get a tab CIN details in vendor master itself wherein you can maintain PAN no. sales tax no. etc of the Vendor.
you dont need to use any field for PAN no... If this is followed then wht you are saying is correct. But the problem is that we want to make PAN no. in CIN details tab mandatory and that is not possible.

  • Bank Account field in Vendor Master Data

    Hi Guys,
Anyone of you might have faced this kind of problem.
The field for bank account in vendor bank details provides only 18 digits.
We have a couple of Polish and Russian vendors which have 20 digits in the bank account and because SAP cuts off the first 2 digits payments cannot be made.
Will it be possible to extend the number of digits in the bank account field? If yes,
can anyone let me know how it can me done.
    Thanks
    JR

The situations where REGUH-ZBNKN (bank account number) is longer than 18 digits. in this case the bank account number continues on field REGUH-BKREF (reference).
You have to implement OSS#96624 to solve this problem
    Regards.
(Finding more detail in OSS Note)
    Symptom
This note refers to business partner bank account numbers with more than 18 digits.
Banks of certain countries use bank account numbers with more than 18 digits. Consequently, these bank account numbers cannot be stored completely in the bank account number field of the R/3 System, but are to be used for the payment transactions with the bank in the data medium exchange (DME).
    Solution
Depending on the country of the bank of the business partner, we recommend that you enter that part of the account number which does not fit into the respective 'Bank account number' input field in the 'Reference specifications for bank details' field or in the 'Bank control key' field of the customer or vendor master data.
We recommend that you use the fields in the R/3 System as follows:
China- Various account number formats, some have more than 18 digits
    - Save the first 18 digits in the 'Bank account number' field
    - If the Chinese bank account number is longer than 18 digits, the
remaining digits are saved in the 'Reference specifications for bank
    details' field.
