  • Gaps in vendor master data number range

Hi, we have noticed there are sometimes gaps (missing numbers) in the internally issued vendor master data number range. Does anybody have any idea why this happens and how to avoid this?
    Many Thanks for your answers!
    Lucie

    Hi Lucie,
This happens due to buffering of the number range in question. You can go to SNRO transaction (object KREDITOR) and change the buffering options (deactivate them, actually). Please, consult your ABAP team before doing this. For more info, see note 62077.

  • Vendor Master Record number ranges

    Hi,
We have one requirement . At present my client is maintaining the vendor master record number ranges with 4 digits. Ex. 0001 to 9999
His present requirement is that to maintain the number ranges with 4 digits .ex. 00001 to 99999. They want this should apply even to existing records. Ex: Old number 2345 , they want the present number should be 02345.
Request you to please help in resolving the issue. Thanks in advance for the help. Matter is urgent
    Thanks
    D.K.Lakshmi narayana

    Hello Lakshmi,
It seems to me these are your alternatives.
    1) For each old vendor in the 4-digit scheme, create a new vendor master record in the 5-digit scheme with the leading zero. Then, transfer all open documents/master records (invoices, purchase orders, info records, etc.) from the old vendor to the new vendor. Then, block the old vendor.
    2) Same as previous except instead of changing all open documents, only change the master data (e.g., info records or long term contracts or agreements) to the new vendor master record and continue to use the old vendor master record until the open documents are closed. Then, block the old vendor master record.
I think option 2 will be the "safer" choice. Plus, for reporting, you will probably need to continue using both vendor numbers for a while.
Maybe someone else has an easier way...
    Cheers,
    Larry

  • Vendor Creation (Internal Number Range)

    Hi,
My client was creating a new Vendor. The same has an internal number range.
However, the last vendor created was 110016...... while creating a new vendor, the system assigned vendor 110020 as the next internal number, instead of 110017 to be assigned.
Kindly assist as to why has this happened and where can i check the same?

    Thanks.......
However that number range has not been assigned to other vendor group....
Also, I have heard of number range buffering in SAP......What is that? How it works? Is there any T Code to check this buffering or any additional configuration is required?
    Kindly assist on the same........

  • Vendor Master International Version

    Hi,
Please let me know the usage of  International Version for address in vendor master.
It over writes the address of the new address which will be maintained in international version tab, any idea on how to proceed?
I want to know how different language of PO can be printed for the same vendor code by maintaing the different address in this tab.
    Thanks in advance
    Sachin

Jurgen: reply highly appreciated, my issues still persists..let me put my views forth :
Vendor master created with respect to X company code and Y purchase org:
Address maintained : Country US and language EN (log on language for SAP was in EN)
Other address maintained: Country Argentina language ES (log on  language was in ES (Spanish))
When I try to create PO for that vendor with EN or ES as log on language it takes ES as communication language for that vendor in PO.
My question is can I have the choice to select the communication language for vendor so that I can maintain translation for that form and print the PO according to the county language maintained.
If this is not possible then let me know how this can be achieved?
    Thanks in advance

  • FB03 display restrictions by using corporate group field of Vendor master

We had new requirement for the FB03 Transaction display.
1>     In vendor master data we are assigning the Secure and non-secure for the corporate account group field. Based on the Secure and non-secure, we have to restrict the FB03 transaction display.
2>     If itu2019s secure vendor, then no one should have authorization to display the documents belongs to these vendors of any transactions (Fb03 or FBL1N).
So based on this criteria we need to restrict the display for FB03 transaction.
    thanks and regards
    Prathap

    Hello Pratap
Please seek help from your SAP BASIS
    How it works is
    1. You have a T code
    2. You see which roles use it
    3.  Then accordingly you can tag that role to the User
    4. Moreover when basis works they check in SUIM t code as to which roles the T code is tagged to and then they go ahead and assign the same to the user
    5. There is another t code PFCG where they create z roles as well since standard roles are not used by them. And in this t code the authorisation objects are handled as well and profiles and roles are created. This is then tagged to a user.
    6. then this authorisation is visible in SU01 in the user
    Thanks and Regards

  • Vendor Master - Bank Key

    Hi Guys,
In the vendor master , under the bank details , we have a field called BANK KEY.
What is the significance of this field and does it mean the Bank Key of the vendor bank or our house bank?
    Pls clarify.
    Thanks,
    Srikanth.

Bank Keys means the vendor bank, we usually use bank number in the control data as the bank key (T-code: FI01).
In vendor master, if vendor has multiple bank accounts, identify 'Partner Bank Type' for each vendor bank account.  Specify the 'Partner Bank Type' during invoice posting otherwise the first line would be default for payment.
    Partner Bank Type
Key you enter in the line item to specify which business partner's bank the system should use.
    Procedure
In the business partner's master record:
If several bank accounts exist in a customer or vendor master record, you can assign different keys for these accounts.
    In the item:
To use a particular bank of the business partner for the payment of an item, enter the appropriate key in the item. The payment program then pays the item via the business partner's predefined bank.

  • Billing document  Internal No. range unable to be trasported to quality

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I am unable to transport the changes to quality from develoment.i have made an internal number range assignment to the billing document type Debit note ZL2 equal to ZF2 normal invoice.
I am not defining any new n.range assignment but i am assigning the similat no.range interval to the debit note doc type and wanted to transport to quality but i am unable to see the changes transported quality why????
Please help me soon its urgent

It is only the Number Range Object, which is transported in Billing Type (VOFA) & not the number range, which can be Transported. It has to be maintained through T.Code: VN01 for the number range object (Add the number range object, if it is not available in the list in VN01). As a rule, Number range cannot overlap, so it is essential to have number range made available for the Number Range Object. Incase of Billing, most commonly used is Number Range Object 19.

    Hello friends,
No error message but the next number is getting allocated.

    1. Enter the Account Group
    2. Sales Area (New Sales Area for the customer)

  • 4.5B server - Vendor Master

I have this same question posted in the SD forum but I think this would be a better place to ask this question (my apologies for the double post).
I am working in a 4.5B environment and coming across this situation.  So far I have tried using OMSG and made carrier details optional and mandatory but these fields do not show up when trying to create a new vendor.  I have tried doing this in 6.0 and it works fine.  My question from my original post is below...
I am trying to get fields DLGRP (ServAgntProcGrp ) and SCACD (SCAC) on my vendor master so I can assign carriers their proper group and SCAC code but can't figure it out. pts rewarded for any help.
    thank you!

    Hey
There is no as such difference in different versions in this regard.
Although field selection is not dependent on account group but also other parameters like purchase organization, transaction used etc.
Pl verify if this is the case.
    Thx
