Why I cannot input Recon. acount when I create vendor master in XK01
The field of Recon. acount is greyed out when I create vendor master in XK01. Can any expert help?
BR, EdaHi Eda,
in the vendor account group, the field selection is guided by three different config.
The path is IMG>Financial Accounting(New)>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Vendor Accounts>Master Data-->Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data........
1 Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors)
2 Define Screen Layout per Company Code (Vendors)
3 Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors).
Please check at the given following 3 places, in any one of them it must be defined in the display mode.
Hope it helps.

One vendor master with different recon posting while accounting of the bill
I have one vendor master, where we can able to give only one recon. account. But the vendor supplies various materials like rm, pm and capital material. I want to change the recon account while accounting the invoice.
Hi,
Changing the Recon. while doing the transaction is not possible and not advisable as later on Recon a/c wise reports(FBL3N) won't tally with(FBL1N).
Better to create different Vendor codes for different Recon. a/c.

HI Guru's,
How to system identify the Recon account for vendor master.. what is the link between vendor master and GL..
regards
DhanaDear ,
In general manner Recon account is compulsory field.
When any transaction would be done it automaticaly upadated Recon account.
All transaction effect of vendor will be get impect by GL.through Recon account.
Hope above will useful

We have multiple accounts with a vendor but like a single Vendor Master rec
We have situation, like with utilities, where there is a single vendor but we have multiple accounts with that vendor. We would like to have a single master record that holds the different account numbers. Does anyone know how to do this or other way to meet the requirement?
Thanks in advance,
shopsabit.Hello,
You can define only one reconciliation account to vendor master data. But while FI document posting for ex. with using FB01, you can change reconciliation account.
For example there are two reconciliation acount for vendor.
1 - 320001 - Recon acc. 1
2 - 320002 - Recon acc. 2
320001 Recon acc.1 assigned to vendor master data. But you want to post FI document to vendor with 320002 Recon acc. 2.
So please check "Recon. acct ready for input" option in FS00 for Recon acc. 1 and Recon acc. 2.
Then go to SM30 and maintain V_THKON table. Please add line items below.
Line 1
G/L account : 320001
Alter. G/L account : 320002
Line 2
G/L account : 320002
Alter. G/L account : 320001
Then you can change recon acc. while posting to vendor account. On FB01 transaction, Recon account of vendor is ready for input.

What are the important views or field in vendors master record
All,
We are converting two different companies into our SAP. We are at blue printing stage. I was assigned to gather vendor master data requirements in SAP. I sent them all the fields that we are currently using in SAP. I sent them a template of General, Company code data and purchasing views. The legacy team is coming to meet with our it team one to one to discuss the importance of the fields. Now my team manager asked us to submit a presentation about all the questions we should be asking the legacy team as well as the important information we should be discussing from SAP point of view. Can someone guide me here please. It's important.
Thanks,Hi The task is pretty simple. You would need to create a mapping from the legacy data to SAP data. You would go through every field of the legacy data and identify which field it will map to. there is nothing like important field. Ideally you would get all the fields. Identify the recon account that the vendors should go to.
Hope this helps
Points will be appreciated.

Vendor Master Extraction from Legacy
Hi guys,
We have 2 different legacy systems here (4.5b and 4.6c) and I am trying to extract the vendor master from both of them and integrate them into the new mysap2004.
What is the best way to extract the vendor master along with the address , punchasing doc, bank details, partner functions, etc ? Any sample program for vendor master extraction is most welcome. Here is my extract layout.

Change of reconciliation account in vendor master
Dear Friends,
Can anybody tell whether we can change a reconciliation account in vendor master or not.
If we can change then what is the procedure of changing.
Regards
Rahul JainHello,
You can change the recon account for a vendor/customer by transaction code XK02/XD02. The original transactions remain in the original recon account. After reconciliation change in customer/vendor will be posted to new reconciliation accounts and whatever old line items in the vendor/customer accounts will not change from old reconciliation accounts. If once cleared, manually you have to clear those open items from old reconciliations before shifting to new reconciliation accounts.
Thanks

Reconciliation account in vendor master
When I tried to post a vendor invoice , the system threw the error that posting cannot be done as reconciliation account has not been assigned to the vendor account . when I checked the master record for the concerned vendor , the recon account field is deactivated .
In SPRO mode , I changed the field status ( screen layout per account group, per company code ) from optional to required . However , in the vendor account , the field status has not been activated for entry .
What could be the reason , and how to make entry into this field ?

Problem In Vendor Master Creation
When i am going to create vendor Master then Recon.Account option has no value .Its show No Entry Option Available . Pls help me and solve this problem.
Thanks & Regard
vipin yadavHi Vipin
Is the Vendor created via a workflow?
If not, how is it getting created?
If there is no workflow involved, try posting this issue in the following forums....this forum is for Workflows.
http://scn.sap.com/community/erp
http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/scm-customer-and-vendor-master
http://scn.sap.com/community/abap (if there is any ABAP coding involved).
One suggestion, irrespective of th forum): please try to post all details of:
what you are doing
Transaction codes
button clicks
coding involved
all details
This will only help you to get the right solution in the first place.

Vendor Master and Customer Master for FI AP/AR
hi FICO Gurus,
I am Sapna here and I have questions regarding the Mandatory fields for Vendor Master and Customer Master which would be mandatory for Running FI AP and AR. I am basically a MM Consultant but I have been asked to perform this role of Master Data at my current client.
I am quite familiar with the fact that these feilds are based on the needs of the bussiness and can be configured in IMG as required/optional or suppressed or diaplsy only.
What I am looking is
1. Are there any fileds list which is <b>Mandatory</b> for running FI AP/AR in global financial implemntation.
2. Also from FI Perspective what is <b>Good to have/Recommended fields</b> in Vendor Master and Cusotmer Master for Global Finacial implemtation.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Please point me in right direction...OK all implementations are different so the client should have some imput here.
However you need to make sure certain address details are mandatory such as name, post code street and city.
You may always want an e mail address or phone number.
All AR & AP customer/ Vendors will need a recon account, so it is important there is one set up, but you also need to make sure in change mode this cannot be changed.
For Vendors you will require some kind of bank details and payment method.
For Customers if Dunning is being used you may need the Dunning Procedure and Accounting Clerk.
Also for a Customer there is the Sales Org view, and it is best to contact the SD consultant to see which fields are required here. The tax code, payment terms are normally mandatory.
For the Purchasing Org, I guess you would know about this...
Hope this helps.

Hi,
We are merging with two other companies. The two companies are going to shift to SAP. We requested some mock up data for them to setup our master records. I was asked to setup vendor master record. Can some guide me of the most important looks I should be looking/asking for them to determine if I have all the information that is required to create a vendor master record. We are just creating a prototype data at this time.
ThanksHello
Assume you would like to create 2 VMR's for 2 company codes.
In my opinion, check the master data fields one by one, and maintain uniformity in the basic mandatory fields.
Recon account could also be same, payment terms could be similar, and so on.
In any case, there would be clash or overlapping of any transactions, as both the vendors belong to seperate company codes.

Changed reconciliation account in vendor master - Report FAGLF101
Hi
When a Recon account is changed in the Vendor Master, a report has to be run to post the adjustment entries using T-Code FAGLF101.
The query is that, the report posts the adjustment entries through an adjustment account but at the same time also reverses the effect on the first day of the next month.
Is there a way to stop this reversal. Though I do not select the reversal posting date, system is reversing the entry.
Further, why is the Recon account not posted to rectify the entries?
Regards
Abhishek KumarHi
For changing the reconciliation account in Vendor Master and customer master, please follow the following steps.
1. First change the reconaccount in the customer / vendor master

Different vendor group, but 1 vendor master
Dear Friends,
Can I have this facility in SAP.
Different account groups to be maintained, but vendor master should be created only 1 vendor master with common no.
Display separate balances for vendors in Balance Sheet as:
Creditors for Material Purchase
Creditors for Capital Purchase
Creditors for Acceptance
Regards,
RamHi,
Better to use Define Alternative Reconciliation Account for Vendors like
1. Creditors for Material Purchase - xxx1
2. Creditors for Capital Purchase - xxx2
3. Creditors for Acceptance - xxx3
Sundry creditors -
xxxx0 Main Recon account.
In this step, you define accounts which show the posting of a
corresponding special G/L transaction to the general ledger. The
postings are made to these accounts instead of to the normal
reconciliation account.
Path:
SM30 --> table V_THKON.
Hope it clear.
Search for More help for Alternative Recon settings.
