Vendor name in Asset Master Table

Hi all,
If i open any asset master with Tcode AS02, i am able to see the vendor code and vendor name in the origin tab in the asset master.
And the fileds filled in asset master will be stored in table called ANLA, when i open the said table for the respective asset, there i am able to see only the vendor code only not the vendor name field.
the vendor name field ANLA-LIEFE was showing blank, as it was showing data in the asset master.
I think there might a technical issue in this regard.
Please suggest me to fix this bug.

It is not a bug,
This field is currently for informational purposes only.
You can only use this field to define sort versions.
SAP-Definition of Sort version."A means of defining groups and group totals in asset reports. All fields of the asset master record can be used as group and/or sort criteria for defining a sort version. You enter the sort version key when starting a report."

R/3 Table for Text Descr of ORD43 (Tax Type) of ANLA (Asset Master) table ?

Hi all,
   I want to find the table name from which we get the Text Description for ORD43 ( Tax Type - Exemption Certificate no) of ANLA (Asset Master) table in R/3.
   In R/3, we could see that description, next to 'Tax Type - Exemption' (on the right side) with Tcode AS03 (Display Asset : Master Data) under 'Reporting' tab
   The InfoObject in BW for the same ORD43 is 0EVALGROUP3 which is an attribute of 0ASSET and InfoSource is 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT.
   Which table has that description for ORD43, PLEASE ?

SO10 is a transaction where you maintain the texts and STXH is the table where you can find the description, if text maintained through SO10. Please check and let me know.

As a general recommendation just tell the ABAPer your requirement, don't tell him how to do it.... he probably knows, or should know, better ways of doing something then a functional consultant.
And please don't tell people to copy standard reports, most of the times there is a BADI, enhancement, or an implicit enhancement spot available. I'm a consultant who can program ABAP (including complex programs), and I've never had to copy a standard program. Ever.
PS: And no, I didn't have to register the object for modification either.
EDIT: I went to check the program and you have two explicit enhancement spots to use:
ENHANCEMENT-POINT read_data_01 SPOTS es_rm07msal - You use this to fill the extra fields of itab;
ENHANCEMENT-POINT EHP605_RM07MSAL_03 SPOTS ES_RM07MSAL - You use this to enhance the field catalog of the ALV if you are on EhP5, if not create an implicit enhancement on the same stop.
Current SAP allows enhancements everywhere, copying programs should be forbidden.

Updating employee in asset master

Hi
There are several laptops and mobile phones which are given to employees. I need to track employee-wise assets. So i need to update employee name in asset master
But here there is no HR module so personnel numbers are not available. Employees are created as a vendors only.
I thought of evaluation group. But updating evaluation groups everytime at the time of addition / exit of new employees would be a configuration.
So let me know how this requirement can be fulfilled.

I have seen many companies in this scenario...What they do is even though they dont have HR Module, they still create Personnel No.s in HR.... You dont need any separate license for that... Just a bare minimum settings are required to create Personnel No.s
Asset Master has field Personnel No available in the screen layout... So, you dont need to do any Z development in this option
Option 2 - Use AIST002 and add the field Vendor No in the asset master as said above...
Option 3 - Use a Stat IO or WBS created with Personnel No as the IO / WBS No...
Easiest is option 3, but it is a work around
Moderate is option 1 - This is Std solution... You can also Personnel No in lot of FI postings related to employees.. Eg: To track their vehicle expenses or Mobile expenses, etc...
Complex one is option 2.... This is a Z Dev....

DME - F110 Vendor Name gets truncated

Hi All,
When we run F110 and generate a flat file through DME (Data Medium Exchange) Administration , the vendor name gets truncated to 35 characters. Even though the vendor name in the master record has more characters, the vendor name in the flat file is capturing only 35 characters and truncating the rest of the characters.

If you want to create a DME for Singapure, there's a program for it: in F110 Konfiguration, RFFOD_S.
Additionally you have to consult with the bank you're sending the DME it it is able to proceed this DME.
You can create your own DME in the payment workbench. Here you can define how the DME shoult look like unless it can be processed by the bank's system.
As others said before, this can be a reason why the vendor name gets cut off after a certain digit.

Summary Tables for Asset Master?

I need to create an asset/insurance data report, using SAP Query, which shows the asset master record balances only (acquisition and posted depre'n) as at report selection date.
Are there any summary tables for fixed assets that are equivalent to GLT0, KNC1 and LFC1 for GL, Customer and Vendor?

I am not sure about ANEP or know how to use it. It only has data records for the fiscal year when there is posting to acquisition values field u201CAmount postedu201D for the asset. No data records for other years with posted depreciation.

Table name for material master change

What is the table name for material master change, so that I can get the old values and new values at plant level.
More specific:
I want to check the old values for Re order point and Safety stock in MRP1 and MRP2 fields in material master for many materials. Please help.

Use CDPOS and CDHDR table to get the values which were changed.
CDPOS>use fields Change doc. object give in as MATERIAL and in the Table name>MARC

Asset Master Changes - Table

Dear All,
We want to know the table in which the changes made in ASSET MASTER are stored.
My user has made a lot of changes in all ASSET MASTER. e.g. cost center has been changed for 1000 of assets
We want to find all the values that has been changed at asset table level.

Table for asset master layout

In asset master layout setting, we tell system which all fields needs to be made mandatory at the time of creating asset master. This setting we do at screen layout and this screen layout is assigned to asset class.
I want to know table where i can see these fields and i can see which all fields are madfe mandatory, optional, etc.

I do not know how to check asset segment record. So I used T082A. I gave screen layout in the input parameter and i pressed 'execute'
But it showed screen layout and its description. But it didn't show setting of every field (like madatory, display, optional, supress).
I also tried T082B. But i am not getting how to view.
Is there separate table for it?

Master table for RFQ(Request For Quotation). Field name is RFQ

I need to know the master table for RFQ(Request For Quotation) number . The field name is ANFNR . In the T.code ME42, i found that it is using the structure RM06E. But i need to know its corresponding master table

the table EKKO (EKPO Items table) and you can find the Quote number in EBELN field. Don't go by the structure / field name on the screen
Forgot to metnion that you need to use the right document category and the document type.

The set of constraints as you show it is valid, but will likely result in a lot of violations since both child columns are larger than the parent. The Oracle 2256 error has nothing to do with data validation, nor with the different lengths of the columns. The documentation says
