  • Vendor part number to Sun part number mapping

I am getting vendor part number in prtfru and showfru outputs of Sun Fire V240 server. I am not getting Sun part number in those outputs. So is there any way to determine sun part no. from vendor part no.
    Thanks in advance.
Edited by: midhu on Oct 10, 2012 11:37 AM

The part is memory and this is a Sun Fire v240 server. I have checked prtfru outputs of several v240 machines but i was not able to get the sun part no. for memory in any of these machines. Find the below output from prtfru -x.

  • Vendor Part number on Invoice

    hi All,
Is there any possibility to check the vendor part number while posting the invoice? I per my knowledge we maintain this vendor partnumber in info record. And while creating the PO we can check it in material data.
My question is is there any setting to check the vendor part number while doing miro? Is this setting is dcoument specific? & where in SPRO we have to do it?
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
In your case if you use MPN material PO will reflect the Vendor Part No.
Ang in stock there will master material (which is your part no)
So no need to check againin MIRO for part no.
Hope this will solve your problem
    Thanka and regards

  • Vendor Article Number in report format

    Hey,
I am looking for Report in SAP MM which will give me Vendor Article or Vendor Part number. This information is in Purchasing Info Record but when i am using T-code ME1M for PIR report this field is not comming. If you know any other report or by any other way i can get this information with reference to article and Vendor that will be a great help.
    Thanks

I just checked ME1M and I'm able to see Vendor Material number there in the selection criteria (IDNLF).

  • Validation of vendor material number in IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM

    Hi folks,
Scenario: Inbound EDI vendor invoices received as IDOCs.
I'm using Logistics Invoice Verification process code INVL to receive and post vendor invoices on to the ERP2004 release of R/3.
I have purchasing info records setup with the vendor material number.
When I process an inbound vendor invoice, I can put in a customer material number i.e. a material number existing in material master in E1EDP19-IDTNR with qualifier E1EDP19-QUALF = 001.  When I do this, R/3 checks that the material number is valid and refuses to post an invoice if the material number is invalid - this is good.
This means that the EDI program parameters with the 'Check Material Number' enabled is working as expected.
Now when I only have a vendor material number i.e. E1EDP19-QUALF = 002 an E1EDP19-IDTNR = vendor part number, R/3 posts the invoice even if the vendor part number is invalid - IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM does not seem to be validating the vendor part number.  The document posts whether I use a valid vendor part number or an invalid one - what am I missing?
    Satish

I can answer by words of Axel Angeli - top level SAP R/3 consultant and R/3 cross-application development coach, the author of classic book "SAP R/3 Guide to EDI, ALE and Interfaces":
"SAP R/3 delivers a serious of predefined EDI programs. Many project administrators see them as standards which should not be manipulated or modified. The truth is, that these IDoc processing functions are recommendations and example routines, which can be replaced by own routines in customizing."
    and
"SAP R/3 is delivered with a series of predefined IDoc types and corresponding handler function modules.
Some of the handler programs have been designed with user-exits where a developer can implement some data post-processing or add additional information to an IDoc.
You must always see those programs as examples for IDoc handling. If the programs already do what you want, it is just fine. But you should never stick to those programs too long, if you need different data to be sent."
So now you can feel free to customize
    Regards,
    Maxim.

  • Vendor Product Number field

Can anyone please help us finding the field  " Vendor Product Number". We have the information that this is a standard field on the shopping cart and is part of the standard content and This field is also available on Catalog Purchase Orders
Please help us recognizing the appropriate field tech name from the  shopping cart extractor.
    Hints are appreciated

    Hi Masa,
Appreciate your prompt response. My issue is not Vendor Part Number. We are using Manufacturer Part Number field in our SRM-MDM catalogs. OCI is transferring the data in this field to SRM SC but it is not displaying in Item Data tab in SC. I can see the Manufacturer Part Number value transferred from catalog in Tcode BBP_PD. As per your earlier reply, I added field MANU_PROD (Manufacturer Part Number) in Customer Meta Data for Item fields in Personalization is SPRO. After adding this field here, it should be displayed in SRM SC Item Data tab but it is not displaying there.
We are not facing any problem with field  Supplier PArt Number and iit is displaying correctly in the SRM SC.
    Thanks

  • PO part no and SKU part number different

I have the Material part no on which we want to do Procurement. and put the material in stock and do valuation. Then I have the Vendors part number which is different than above part no.
Mans if my material code is ABC then Vendors code may be DFG.
I want to have ref of Vendor's mat.code number on PO.
Is it possible to maintain the Vendors part number in material master or in Info record so that it picks up when we create the PO on our material code i.e. ABC for eg.
    Thx

    Hi,
Since your vendor uses a different number for the material than you used in your system. You can use "Vendor Mat.No" using Purchase Info Record using transaction code ME11.
This Vendor Mat.No,can be quoted in PO for identification purpose.
    Bye,

  • Search contract by supplying vendor or manufacture part number

    Hi,
We have a requirement to keep manufacturer vendor and manufacture part
    number on purchase order.
    Example:
    Vendor (purchasing): 1000010
    Vendors (Manufacturer): AAA, BBB
    Internal Material number: 71000010
Manufacturer part number: 61000001 (AAA), 61000002(BBB)
two contracts for 1000010, one with supplying vendor AAA, the other is
    with BBB.
However, when trying to create a PO(ME21N), contracts can not be
searched by supplying vendors.  If search by internal material number,
both contracts show up and user can't tell the difference because they
don't show manufacturer part number or supplying vendor.  Pls advice.
    Thanks!

You can search your caontract by internal number and than in the document overview you can change the layout which can show the MPN mateiral number
so based on the MPN material use rcan select the appropriate contract
send me your mail to this forum and i will send you the scrren shot

  • Part Number Succession

    Hi,
We have the following scenario and we have to map it to SAP. Please give your suggestions.
Our vendor is using SAP and hence we need to have common part numbers (our and vendors material part numbers). Our  vendor changes material part number once in a quarter (some times even twice or thrice) and hence we need to create new part numbers, but there will be old part numbers and stock for this same material.
    New material - abc3
    old material - abc2 - stock 50
    old material - abc1 - stock 20
How to map this in SAP? we dont want to do material to material transfer posting as few of our engineers will be having old part numbers. But we have to link all these materials.
    Please guide.
    Thanks and Regards
    Pavan

    Hi Afshad,
Thanks for the document. This document is really good and informative.
I did the configrations and tested its working fine.
Only limitation is we are using bar code while doing GR but in case of HERS material type we are not able to maintain the EAN number(there is no basic data screen and even we are not able to add basic data screen to HERS material type in configration) and hence this will not work.
    Please advise
    Thanks and Regards

  • Stock analysis based on vendor material number

    Hi
Is there any report which can show the total stock of a material with split on vendor material number (I am entering different vendor material numbers upon goods receipt) or any query I can write to get the above result?
The requirement is as follows: I will order an item with name say X and vendor supplies the item with different name say Y. So I am maintaining vendor specific name in vendor material number. Now I want to see the stock X with what quantity of it is Y.
    Thanks

    Dear Praveen
    You could use the following;
Input and Output Conversion of Material Numbers
    Use
Like every other part in the SAP system, an inventory-managed manufacturer part has an SAP-specific material number that uniquely identifies it. If this material number is uncommon or unknown to the vendor, you should consider the following (especially in the purchasing process):
    ·        You can enter a part with its Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) and its External Manufacturer, and not just with its material number. This is possible because of the input conversion of material numbers.
    ·        The system displays this part with its Manufacturer Part Number and the External Manufacturer in lists and screens. This is possible because of the output conversion of material numbers.
You have to increase the maximum field length for input and output values in the Output Length for Material Numbers field to enter and display the MPN and the manufacturer code in one field
    Prerequisites
You have made the following settings in Customizing:
    ·        You have activated the conversion exit for material numbers.
    ·        You have maintained a delimiter. The delimiter separates the MPN and the external manufacturer when they are entered or displayed in one field.
    ·        You have specified a maximum output length for material numbers. This means that the fields for the long material number are scrollable, and the output columns for lists are wider.
You configure and activate the conversion exit for material numbers in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General ® Interchangeability of Parts ® Set Up Conversion Exit for Material Numbers.
    Features
    Input Conversion
If you have activated the conversion exit, you can enter the relevant MPN instead of the material number in the relevant input fields.
If the MPN is not unique, you enter the external manufacturer in the same field, separating the MPN and the external manufacturer by the delimiter defined in Customizing.
You have defined: as the delimiter.
Enter 45L700W:36121 (Manufacturer Part Number, Delimiter, and External Manufacturer) for the part, instead of material number 1011. If the MPN is unique, you only have to enter 45L700W (the Manufacturer Part Number).
You can now scroll the input field for the material number. This allows you to enter the maximum output length for material numbers, which has also been defined in Customizing.
Input conversion gives you an alternate and additional input option. You can still enter the ERP material number to identify a part.
The system determines the correct material number from your input, and passes it to the program logic. The system handles your input as follows:
    ·        If your entry contains the delimiter, the system splits the entry at the delimiter, interprets both parts of the entry as the Manufacturer Part Number and the External Manufacturer respectively, and searches for a part corresponding to these entries
    ·        If your entry does not contain a delimiter, the system interprets your entry as an (ERP) material number, and searches for the corresponding part in the material master. If this is unsuccessful, the system interprets your entry as an MPN, and searches for the corresponding part.
If the system cannot determine a part clearly, or the search is unsuccessful, it issues an error message.
Value Range for MPN on the Selection Screen
The system converts the MPN into a material number internally.
To ensure that the system correctly interprets the value range for an MPN that is entered as selection criteria, when the conversion exit is activated, the system provides both the material number and the MPN as selection criteria in the selection screen.
    Output Conversion
If the conversion exit is activated, the output conversion ensures that the system displays the MPN and the external manufacturer on screens and in lists, separated by the delimiter in the field or column that usually displays the ERP material number.
If the Output Length for Material Numbers field in Customizing is not long enough to display both the MPN and the external manufacturer, the system displays the MPN, if it is unique.
If the MPN is not unique or the output length too short, the system displays the ERP material number.
The system displays parts with the output length defined in Customizing. In addition:
    ·        You can scroll the output field for the material number on screens.
    ·        The system adjusts the layout of lists to the output length.
    List Formatting
If you use the inventory-managed MPN, you have to change the list formatting as follows:
    ·        Variable length of the material number in reports
In cases of the automatic conversion of the material number into an MPN and external manufacturer, the system takes account of the Output Length for Material Numbers field (defined in Customizing) when it structures the lists for selected reports. This ensures that columns are aligned, line breaks are correct, and the lists can be read.
    ·        Adding a field for the external manufacturer
The external manufacturer should also be displayed in lists because the MPN, into which the material number is automatically converted, is not always unique.
In Customizing, you have defined whether the external manufacturer should be displayed with the MPN. The system adds the field for the external manufacturer immediately after the field for the MPN in lists and on the screen.
You can display the external manufacturer with or without an active conversion exit.
    ·        Sorting by MPN, not by material number
You can sort some lists by material number.
You can sort by MPN in cases where the MPN is displayed instead of the material number.
    with kind regards
    Sundar

  • What is the keyboard part number for Portege Z30-A-1E5?

    Hello,
I want the Toshiba Portege Z30-A-1E5, but it is apparently only available to buy from German and Austrian vendors with the QWERTZ keyboard. I would like to buy one and swap over the keyboard to either AZERTY or QWERTY (UK).
However I spoke with a company that does this and they cannot confirm that they can get a part unless I can provide them with a keyboard part number (they also can't give me a quote without it), but this number does not seem to be easy to get a hold of without actually having the computer and taking the keyboard off and looking underneath! I feel a bit nervous spending so much money when there is a chance that I won't be able to swap the keyboard over.
So my question is, can anybody tell me what the keyboard part number is for the portege z30-a-1e5?
Any assistance would be much appreciated!!!!!
    Kate

    Hi Kate
Im wondering why you want to purchase a Portege Z30-A-1E5 which isnt available in UK?
The notebooks are preinstalled with a Windows system in different languages. In case of Portege Z30-A-1E5 available in Germany, the system language would be German.
Also the keyboard supports different layout.
Portege Z30-A-1E5 was equipped with an i7 CPU, 512GB SSD drive and 16GB RAM.
Very similar notebook Portege Z30-A-1D6 was released in UK. Its preinstalled with Windows system in English language and English keyboard layout.
Of course the hardware specifications are a little bit lower (256GB SSD drive and 8GB RAM) but I think this could be upgraded much easier as to replace the keyboard.
However, in case you would purchase the Portege Z30-A-1E5, I recommend you to contact the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country for keyboard replacement. The guys could order the right keyboard from Toshiba and could perform the replacement.
Just one note: the replacement should be done by authorized service provider because of warranty validity. The replacement must be performed by authorized engineer to keep the warranty valid.

  • Part Number for Bluetooth 2.0 module

Does anyone have the part number for a Bluetooth 2.0 module for the Mac Pro?
I want to make sure I don't end up with the older version 1.1.
The part number I've been told to use is Model A1115, but one service site says that's a version 1.1 module, while the seller and another site say it is the 2.0 module.
I can't find anything at apple.com which lists the part numbers, though I might know where to look.

Updated information (why can't we edit our posts any more?):
The part number I'm looking at is, well, several numbers on the module:
    7C748005XUZ4A
    ANATEL:0786-05-1993
    003NY05015 0000
    Model A1115
    FCC ID: BCGA1115
    IC: 579C-A1115
Again, I'm trying to figure out what version of Bluetooth this module is.
