Ventrilo - Windows 7 RC with Sound Lag Problems (buffering)

; The problem is when i start the game (crossfire) after some random time, I?get delayed sounds from ventrilo.
Sometimes i have no trouble for hours sometime its from the begining and recently i have found out that i hear the sound after i want to talk, means i push the button for talking and then i start hearing sounds from ventrilo which hsa been said minutes ago.

Hi all,
I need to play audio in the background but unfortunately, it came out unstable:
- On the 1st run after installing, it'll play fine until it loops, that's when the audio goes out completely.
- On subsequent runs, the audio plays and loops but it stutters.
I have scoured the forums and googled but couldn't find much advice other than the audio settings to use:
- MP3 Compression
- 128 kbps Bit Rate
- 44.1 kHz sample rate
The audio file is in the library and I call it up with the Sound object.
Some additional info, I wrote a custom script to loop my sound:
- I have 2 SoundChannels
- I use a Timer to track the audio progress
- When the 1st channel is almost up, I play the 2nd channel; the 'old' channel fades out and stops while the 'new' channel plays and fades in
I'm not sure what else I need to look for but any pointers will be great!

This is strange. I am not able to reproduce the stuttering on the app you shared with the bug, https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2988720, using the AIR 3.
I tried playing audio continuously in foreground, and then after bringing it back up from background. In both the cases, the stuttering doesn't happen anymore. Can you please list the steps to reproduce the problem?

For AIR on iOS, you need to download the Windows/Mac sdk. There is no separate runtime installer on iOS.

Window moving with compiz lags with geforce 9500gt

i bought my new computer: amd athlon II x2 250 3ghz, 2gb ram and club 3d geforce 9500 gt 1gb. its working really well and fast, but i have a problem in compiz when i try to move window i see that movement kinda lags. in kde with kwin effects window movement is totally smooth. anyone know what might be the problem? im using up to date system with nvidia proprietary driver.

Enable loose binding by either right-click on the fusion-icon > compiz options > check loose binding or
compiz --replace --loose-binding
Next open ccsm, general options > display settings, disable detect refresh rate and manually set it to twice the amount of your screens refresh rate (that also helps with tearing), enable sync to vblank in compiz only but not in nvidia-settings.
Now go to utility and enable workarounds, make sure that force synchronization between x and glx is enabled as well.

Problem with sound, and problem with video transitions

For some reason my audio isnt locked with my video anymore so when I move a clip the audio doesnt follow does anyone know how to fix that?
Also, when I put in video transitions instead of just switching from the first clip to the second clip it flashes an image from other pieces of footage while transitioning and I need to figure out how to fix that too.
Anyone know how to fix these?

Thanks i got the audio problem fixed.
When I open up final cut it says some of the media has been disconnected but it then says I can't reconnect it or something like that, I don't know if that effects the transitions. I split up a lot of footage and rearranged it and for one of the places where it flashes a clip it shows one of the pieces of footage that I had deleted because it had a glitch and the other places I noticed it it had random clips from throughout the project, like a flash of an interview that happens way later in the film. So it is random clips that are in the film and even clips that I deleted.

Windows 7 with bootcamp assiastant problems

ok so when ever i have a clean fresh install onto a partiion with windows 7 when ever i boot up on windows 7 i get a blue screen error saying failed to attempt to recover video card
additional details: running nvidia geforce 7300 GT video card

F8 key doesn't work when booting Widows 8. Have to go to windows 8 start screen and put cursor in lower right corner. Click on Settings - Change PC settings - General - Advanced Startup. From there you can do a System Restore, or Startup modes like Win7. but you will lose everything since the last trestore. If you can't get into Win8 start screen, I dunno? Reinstall Win8? Apple's official way to install Win8 is to install from the Bootcamp Assistant.app in the latest upgrade of Mountain Lion, Download Bootcamp Assistant to a USB drive formated with FAT32, from the Boot Camp installer. (which will be the latest version of Bootcamp 5 drivers),.install either Windows 7 64bit or Windows 8 64 bit. DO NOT use 32 bit with Boot Camp 5. Boot Camp 5 is designed to work with 64 bit Windows only! When Win8 is installed, Run setup.exe from the USB drive. This is all in the Bootcamp installation guide which can be downloaded from Apple. If you install Win8 32 bit you have to use Boot Camp Assistant 4, which is part of Lion OS. If you are running Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion, you have to download Bootcamp assistant 4 from Apple Support and copy it to a FAT32 USB drive, and use the setup from that to install Apple Win 8 drivers. This is not recommended or supported, and is not supposed to work, but it does because I am typing this from my late 2011 MacBook Pro with Lion OS, running Win 8 32, bit loaded with Bootcamp Assistant 4 Drivers, so I know it works. I could have run Win 8 64 bit with Bootcamp 5, but I have some old Windows Software that can't run on 64 bit Windows, so I have to run 32 bit.

Windows Form with SAP B1 Problem

In Menu Event i placed the code for open my windows form:

All works fine, but, when my form is open i can't operate on SAP.
It's like my form is modal, and until I have it open I can't do anything outside the form.

Hi Diego
There's actually two ways to build an add-on, one that runs inside SAP Business One and one that runs along SB1 side but built on windows forms. You can see this clearly if you try some of the add-on samples that come along with B1. Overall, when I did the analysis I ended up with the conclusion that I was going to spend twice the work to achieve windows forms.
First, you would have develop classes and objects that keep in communication with Business One. Second, you have to keep in mind that you cannot create, update, or delete data directly to the database unless you use the SDK provided objects and methods. Which brings you back to the SAP data sources.
Furthermore, you can run into a bit of complexity do to the fact that to illustrate data in your form, you might have to "convert" your data. For instance, say a SAP recordset into a dataset or ADO recordset. In other words, you can end up with a bit more complex architecture the way I see it.
Using the Screen Painter and SAP Business One tools such as the BIDE you can construct bound form (UDOs) which can even require very little coding from your part (if forms are not to be too complex). Once you get use to SAP's way handling data objects you see is a lot easier than trying the alternative.

Help please with Sound card problem in CS6

I have just discovered that after installing AA CS 6... that the ASIO driver I've had for several years for my Presonus Firebox seems to have disappeared!!!
I have ASIO selected in edit >preferences > audio hardware... but in WIN XP Pro "device manager" my FireBox shows up as a "1394 WDM device" and the driver... although "working properly"... shows up as a WDM driver as well.
Does CS6 replace the ASIO driver with WDM???
If anyone can guide me on how to get back to ASIO I would appreciate. Forgot to mention that ASIO always worked as it should when I was using AA 2.0 and AA CS 5.5

As Bob says, Audition doesn't replace drivers. I'm not sure whether the OS actually recognises the presence of an ASIO driver though, because its primary purpose is to bypass as much of the OS as possible, and give software that does recognise it direct low-latency access to the device. So pretty obviously it has nothing to do with Microsoft!

Using Windows 8 with my macbook pro

I currently have a problem to install Windows 8.
Last week, I bought a Windows' 8 license.
The configuration of my macbook pro is the following :
- i7 2,3 Ghz (four cores)
- 8 Gb of RAM
- A 256 Go SSD
- A 750 Go Hybrid-disc
- OS X 10.8.2
So I removed the Superdrive but I bought an ASUS external USB disc-drive (witch works with OS X)
I inserted the Windows 64 bits disc in the USB drive and I created a 50 Go partition for Windows on the SSD (FAT) with Bootcamp.
After this process, my macbook reboot but it bloked on the PC's shell interface without message, just the cursor (Right-Top).
I tried to reboot many times and to use the 32 bits disc but it is alredy the same.
I also tried to boot using the "C" key, the CD boot, i can see the fourth blue square on the screen, and durind 2 or 3 second the charging animation but after it says that there is an error (new blue screen very very quickly), or a black screen with somes information like "Error 00000050x0...".
However, I tried the alt key. 2 solutions :
- "Windows 8", it is like the first situation (black screen with sursor)
- "EFI boot" (it appeared once), the computer boot on the CD, I can acces to menus and tell the name of the hard disc I want for the installation. But when I want to continue, a window appear with a EFI problem and he says to reboot with a different configuration (but I am not sur).
What can I do to install windows 8 on my macbook pro ?
I need it for Solidworks...

Sound lag (delay) in windows 7 64bit over Bootcamp mini server 2011

I just got my new Mac mini server 2011, loaded windows 7 64 bit and noticed that there is a audio lag over hdmi (intel HD 3000), what i mean is when i delete a file from recycle bin there is no sound, i tried going to sounds in the control panel and tried to test windows system sounds none of them work except the longer duration ones (and even if i do hear them, its the last part of the audio). i tried playing a normal mp3 which worked fine, i tried a hd video which worked fine, but the windows system sounds don't work due to a 2-3 second sound lag. i tried the latest drivers from Intel, dint help. Well i guess this might be a driver problem (i hope it is) , just wanted to know if any of you guys are having the same problem. I don't have this problem with my mac mini 2011 i5 2.5 ATI6630m HDMI.

Audio device driver: Mini uses ? I know some Macs use RealTek and others have Cirrus so whatever you have, then RealTek is easy to deal iwth and install, Cirrus is harder to find and install.

Problem with sound in games

Hi all welcome as you can see I'm new to your forum. So I have a problem as it concerns the sound in games.
Namely, I bought a Creative Headset HS-800 Fatality everything good in listening to music, etc.
But when I go to the game, I turned the sound (someone shoots to the left I hear him right, and vice versa.)
Yes, in all games but mostly it is felt such a battlefiel or call of duty.
At first I thought that this is the fault of my sound card but it's not because I was in a mate and in him was the same ... This recently replaced the computer and the same thing.
I came across the net to reverse the channels, but unfortunately I do not know how to set it up.

Do you get any problems with sound in other (older) games? You didn't mention which drivers in particular you updated, but make sure the graphics card's ones are included.

Hard drive replacement with recovery disc problems - Windows Troubleshooter Error 0x8E5E0247

I have a 2009 Satellite A505 laptop
64-bit Operating System with Windows 7 Home Premium, 4 gigs of RAM, and Intel Duo CPU, 2.20GHz
The original Toshiba 500 GB Hard drive finally gave up the ghost and I replaced it yesterday with a WD Scorpio Blue HD Model WDBABC500ANC-NRSN (SATA 8 MB :Mo Cache 5400 RPM)
Easy, straight forward replacement. No problems.
I got out my Recovery Discs which I created using the Toshiba recovery disc utility back in 2009. As I remember, at the time, the process of creating these discs was easy, and it was the first thing I did after registering my computer.
The process created 5 discs, which the last, number 5, is the Applications and Drivers. I have done this process before on other computers (Gateway and Toshiba) and it is usually pretty straight forward and problem free.
Not so this time, and have to wonder about the Toshiba Recovery Discs that were created! Why aren't these working correctly?
I followed the normal process to boot the new Hard Disc on the DVD Recovery Disc 1, and everything seemed to work normally. I followed every "next" prompt, and installed each new Disc 2, and 3 as prompted.
After Disc 3, it said it was finished, and then went throught the Toshiba unpacking and the Windows installation process with multiple re-starts and Window start ups. Again, everything seemed normal, except I wondered why I never received a prompt for Dsc 4 which was unused in the recovery process. Is that normal?
During the Toshiba automatic unpacking and installation process, where various drivers were being installed, Windows errors began returning that said something like this, "Windows requires a digitally Signed driver, and the driver is unavailalbe and could not be activated in Windows 7 . Programs relying on them may not work. "
The problem drivers included the Realtek RTL8191 SE Wireless Lan 802.11n PCWE, the Richo pcle memory stick, Realtek High Definition Audio, Video Controller, Richo PCLe SD/MMC Host Conroller. and a few others....
I did not touch the keybroad or intervere in anyway, and let the installation process proceed until everything was installed. I then went through the first Windows start up process where you set the region, time and create the USER ID, set the adminstrator rights and even got the Toshiba Registration prompt.
When finished, I noticed that the sound was not working, nor was the Wireless Network Connection, and when I attempted the usual Windows network Trouble Shooting process, it returned a Windows Error which said "A problem is preventing the troubleshooter from starting"
I then viewed the error details. They said...
Package ID: Unknown
Path: C:\windows\diagnostics\system\networking
Error Code: 0x8E5E0247
USER: mvh-PC\mvh
Context: Restricted
I then went to MS Windows 7 Troubleshooting forum on the internet using another computer.
I followed all the 'cmd' processes for "supposedly" solving these problems by running System File Checker [SFC] scan on the computer which was supposed to replace the missing or corrupt files.
Well, no joy. The issue presists.
After some problems accessing the CBS log, I was able to view it, and it provides no useful information as to why the errors where unable to be corrected.
I tried following everything on this MS How to Use File Checker document:
In my CBS file I got a lot of SQM "Failed to start" and "Failed to read" and "Failed to upload" and CSI "Repair results created"....
but did not get any "Cannot repair member file" type of messages to use the 'cmd'
takeown /f Path_And_File_Name function
I then started over. Rebooted the computer again, starting with Recovery Disc 1 and several hours later was back to the same problem. Geeze
I have checked all the various Device drivers that are shown as not working in the Device Manager. I have tried uninstalling them all, and then re-installing them both automatically during Windows 7 start up, and also from the Recovery Disc 5 which had the original drivers. Nothing works.
When I clicked on "Connect to the Internet" on the Windows Control Panel, I am returned a prompt that says "Windows did not detect any networking hardware" and so,even with a direct Ethernet connection to my cable modum, I was unable to download any Windows updates or new drivers to see if that fixes anything.
I am stumped.
Any suggestions out there? I don't want to waste a lot of money paying for more technical help for an aging laptob. If this is beyond a simple fix, then I think I will just go and buy a new cheap computer from Asus having wasted the ~$70 bucks for the hard drive for this one.
It shouldn't be this hard, should it?
I have considered buying new recovery discs directlly from Toshiba, but if the process that came with the computer can't create correct discs that work the first time, what promise do I have that another $29.95 won't just be a waste of money too?

I think we can close this one out as 95% solved. I did get the Intel (R) Rapid Storage Technology loaded after installing the Intel (R) Chipset Software Installation Utility. The instrustions were not the simpliest for the novice, and it took me a while to figure out if my system was running in RAID or ACHI mode. I decided that it was ACHI, so could proceed, even though I did NOT find this information in the Device Manager where they said I should have...
Also, it was a little confusing on the Intel site which file to download. I first did the zip file, (f6flpy-x64.zip) but could not figure how to execute it or put it on a disc, so downloaded the (iata_enu.exe) and hope it was the right one for a 64 bit system.
Anyway, I am now connected via Ethernet cable to my modem, and down loading 126 Windows Updates which should take a while.
My only other issue, that I am aware of is that I do not seem to have any Wireless Lan software, and even though I have added Lan drivers via the recovery Disc, they do not show up anywhere.. Will have to figure out what is going on here, and why it isn't working...
Maybe it is related to something in the Device Manager called
"Other Devices" Under that I have 4 items not working. They are listed like this...
Base System Drive,
Base System Drive (a duplicate?)
Network Controller
Video Controller.
I have tried uninstalling them, and allowing Windows to reinstall, but they still are not activated. Not sure what this is for, and how to update it, but will search some more on another forum thread for these issues. Maybe I will try again after all my Windows updates are done and see what happens.
Thanks again for your help. If you have any other insights on the Wireless issue, that would be great. It is turned on, but in the Windows tray, I only get the Ethenet Icon option, and it does not see or present wireless connection options like before. I am sure this is something simple.

I have a macbook 1,1 with CPU 2.0Ghz (i don't really know what is the right model) that a friend give to me after He buy a new one. It came with windows xp. I tryed to install windows 7 (without bootcamp, using only win7 DVD) and everything was ok except the audio... I have been looking in the forum but i couldn't find any drivers or identify my mac audio driver. I have now installed windows XP again but the problem is the same..
I have used one of those softwares to get drivers and he downloaded an IDT High defination Audio CODEC, installed it but i don't have any sound, but also don't have any conflict in device manager. Can anyone help me please? I have read that i should install the mac x os and after that with the bootcamp install the windows xp or windows 7, but i don't have the mac x os and i'm a neewbie in mac stuff.
