Ver Pantone en Ai Cs4

Hola, que debo hacer para poder ver en la paleta de colores el Sitema Pantone? estoy haciendo una marca, necesito especificar los colores con Cuatricomia y en el Sitema Pantone.

Vas a la ventana window/swatch libraryes/color books, no se como aparezca esto si tienes el programa en espanol,,

    I have found that when seperating Pantone Spot Colours in CS4, Illustrator brings up differenet CMYK values than are shown in my Pantone Colour Bridge Swatch book. Any one else have this issue and know why this happens?

    And a big bright light blud jst went on over my head! DOH!
    It would help if I had reaslsie that I've opened the wrong colour book...
    Have opened the Solid Coasted Swatch, rather from the Euro Coasted Colour Bridge. Aw well I guess we al have our moments

    How do I add the missing Pantone in the 700's colors into the swatch list in Illustrator CS4? They are in my latest Pantone swatch books but are not in the color lists in the Pantone Swatch book group in Illustrator.

    Hi,
    I actually found an earlier post which mentioned downloading the Pantone Color Manager, which I did, and within that they gave instructions on how to add them to the Adobe CS4 lists of swatch books. I did that and now I have a complete list of the Pantone Plus colors as an option in the swatch book selection of Illustrator. I will add the list to Photoshop and InDesign also.

  • Printing proofs w/ Pantone in CS4 vs CS5

    Good days all,
    I have found that our proof out came out with different.
    The file was created in Illustrator CS4 and proceeded in CS5.
    The file includes;
    1. One PSD link file includes two pantone in channels
    2. Blur effect for the drop shadow
    3. general designed layout
    EPS file was created base on above condition and sent to our RIP (ORIS) / Printed in Epson7900.
    We have tried with embedded images and linked images but same printout.
    Then we notify that the color proofs printed with somewhat different different pantone value.
    the pantone color that originally created in PSD file has one pantone that not flat color but screened effect + another pantone with 100%.
    We tried with opening Original CS4 file to create EPS file for printout and they are printing different pantone value.
    Same pantone but different print out result.
    My question is is there different pantone engine in CS4 vs CS5 when they print transparence + overprint effect?
    what should be resolved to have the CS5 to become more like CS4 EPS output?
    I hope I make myself clear on this.
    Is anybody has similar problem?

    We are not aware of any invalid PostScript being generated by InDesign 8 (CS6). However, from release to release of Adobe software, we definitely make changes in the generated PostScript (and similarly exported PDF and EPS) to account for new or updated features and to fix anomalies in previous releases.
    It is possible that the Xerox FreeFlow VI Design Pro software is modifying the PostScript generated by InDesign (perhaps to merge variable data in some way?) and is doing so based upon pattern matching that works with the PostScript generated by InDesign 6 (CS4) but not with InDesign 8, yielding modified PostScript which is then rejected by whatever PostScript interpreter is ultimately processing that modified PostScript.
    Your “mailing programmer” might want to contact Xerox to ascertain whether they may have an update to their software.

  • InDesign 2.0 and CS4 - install both?

    I have a huge document created in InDesign 2.0 that I have not successfully been able to open in CS3, so have kept both versions installed.
    Am just about to install Design Std CS4 on a new computer, and am unsure as to how best to proceed: Install CS4 first and try to open there? If the document won't open in CS4, okay to install ver 2.0 after CS4? Or install InDesign 2.0 first, then CS4?

    Thanks for the input, but just had one of my data hard drives go south so need to cope with restoring that before I can test again to record error message. But before I install CS4, I will try to open document in a friend's CS4 and see what happens before installing anything on mine.
    Just a reminder to everyone - remember to always be prepared for hard drive problems, no matter how new it is. Fortunately, I have an up-to-date backup I can restore from, so it's just a matter of popping in a new drive. If this had happened a couple days ago, I'd be faced with recreating stuff from three weeks ago. Lesson learned!!              ~Carol

  • [MC CS4] ExporterAvi.prm ruins my life . . .

    I thought it was only related to Premier Pro, but... turns out, anything that refers to that little plug-in kills the program from the begining.
    These are the versions so you just know:
    Premier Pro CS4 ver 4.2.1
    Media Encoder CS4 ver 4.2
    Encore CS4 ver 4.0.1.x
    Soundbooth CS4 ver 2.0.1
    It's REALLY frustrating, because now I have to rely on Windows Movie Maker and ... to tell you the truth... it crashes due it being made of fail.
    But, regardless... my main 4 for Video/Audio editing are dead. I didn't even bother to check After Effects after I just noticed how they where all down.
    Just to point out, I have not installed any extra plug-ins, in fact, I think they worked just fine. When I take the ExporterAvi.prm plug-in from the folders they load but... when I try to export from Premier, AME won't encode, not even when I use .mov instead of .avi as before.
    I have yet to reinstall the whole Adobe Suit but, so far I heard, it doesn't solve the problem. I haven't tampered with my comp and well, yeah.
    Oh! also, when I use Flash, sometimes it'll crash. Not your typical 'I'm frozen, omg' one, but... just like the ones above... *sigh*

    In another question: When I start Audition (ver 3), it says "To continue where you left off, please restart Audition"
    I haven't used it in months. . .
    How do you Restart it? (although, knowing Soundbooth's dead, it'll crash as well T _T; )

    hmmm....I did some searching on google for system requirements to run CS4...and got one bit of info that is debatable....
    That is, that you need a multi core cpu....some say yes, others say it depends on what you are editing and how many apps are open at same time...
    Here's some specs I found :

  • ID CS4 plötzlich Englisch

    Guten Tag
    Nach einer Pause von einigen Wochen stellte ich folgende Veränderungen im InDesign CS4 fest:
    - die Sprache ist plötzlich Englisch (alle anderen Programme wie z.B. FW, AI, Fotoshop jedoch nicht)
    - das ganze Desktop-Layout ist verschwunden. Alle Fenster sind geschlossen. Die Fenster kann ich wieder so
       einrichten, wie gewohnt.
    Ich habe ID bereits deinstalliert und auf Deutsch installiert, jedoch ohne Erfolg.
    Mein Betriebssysten ist:
    - Windows 7, 64b
    Ist jemanden dieses Problem bekannt? Auf einen Hinweis würde ich mich freuen.

    nicht nur die Sprache war plötlich auf Englisch, sonder auch die Tab-, Enter - Taste und die Shortcuts funktionierten nicht mehr.
    Im Internet bin ich dann auf eine recht simple Antwort gestossen:
    InDesign hat offenslichtlich Probleme mit den Benutzerrechten und es wurde empfohlen, die Benutzerrechte (im Kontextmenü des Programms) vollumfänglich zu aktivieren, was ich entsprechend einstellte.
    InDesign muss ich jetzt mit Admin-Rechten starten, aber immerhin ist die Sprache wieder auf Deutsch und die die Tastenkombinationen funktionieren wieder.
    Vielleicht ist diese Informationen weiteren Nutzern hilfreich.

  • TINTAS PLANAS ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS5 APARACE LA CONVERSION A LAB, MAC OS

    Hola compañeros estoy probando el  nuevo software Ai cs5,  cuando edito una tinta plana, me aparece por  defecto la conversión abajo en lab,
    lo cambio a cmyk y no me hace  la conversion correcta del cmyk de pantone se muestra en decimales.
    Se puede solucionar o es que ahora lo  hacen así?

    Disculpa pero a pesar de las imágenes no acabo de entender el objetivo y la forma de hacerlo, tampoco el por qué hacerlo de una forma y no la otras.
    En AI CS5, y en la CS4 al menos, en el panel de Muestras tienes una opción llamada:
    Spot Colors... o Tintas Planas...,
    Al abrirlo te indica cúal método prefieres:
    Que muestra al abrir valores Lab o valores CMYK y que, esto es lo importante: si conviertes los Pantone utilice unos valores, constantes, fijos, para ir a CMYK, con lo cual el color impreso variará bastante segun imprimas entre diferentes procesos de offset, simplemente por los incrementos tonales debidos a la ganancia de punto, ademas de color gamuts, etc.
    Si por el contrario conviertes desde Lab al CMYK adecuado segun la técnica de impresión, como indique un perfil o espacio de color, obtendrás para cada CMYK distintos valores para que en distintos procesos de impresión se alcance un resultado impreso ciertamente similar. Es ese el objetivo?
    Photoshop emplea esta misma filosofía de trabajo y permite combinar Pantones y conversiones de Lab a CMYK  idénticas con las conversiones efectuadas en Illsutrator, cuando conviertes desde Lab al CMYK final. De idéntica forma se puede trabajar en InDesign.
    Importante: Ver Pantones en Ilustrator en Vista de Sobreimpresión.
    Cual debería ser el valor del Pantone Violet C para imprimir en CMYK Fogra 27 (máquina offset plana)?
    A mi me sale 85/95/0/0, (de valor LAb a CMYK de Fogra 27) el valor que sale por contra al escoger CMYK es de 98/100/0/0, en CS4 sale lo mismo, y eso me parece que es azul no un violeta!
    Por cierto en Photoshop en el selector de color (Con un ajuste de color Fogra27 para CMYK) la conversión de LAB (que es un espacio de color de referencia e intercambio) a CMYK es también 85/95/0/0.
    No veo diferencias entre Illustrator CS4 y CS5 en las conversiones a CMYK, por lo que no veo la razon de reemplazar una biblioteca con otra.

  • Can't open raw files acr2 after update to cs5

    Im running a 64 bit windows 7..before the update to cs5,  running a cs4 and lr 2.6 with plugin ver 5.6, when i updated to cs5 and 2.7 for the LR, i cant open a cr2 files only jpeg and photoshop files and also  im getting error on LR error (LR has stop working) . i tried the to convert to 5.7 dng but still have no luck. I tried everything buy removing the .lr8 files, purge and still no luck...I have a 5D and Mark 2n camera, and Nvidia GTX 275 with dual monitor..

    Something is screwed up the the ACR folder.  Since CS4 and CS5 should act as seperate programs, with differenct ACR versions,  one should not affect the other.
    With 32 bit and 64 bit versions you have 2 programs and therefore 2 locations for the ACR files.  In CS3 the location should be program files/COMMON FILES/Adobe/Plug ins/CS3/ file formats/camera raw.8bi
    Should be something similar for CS4 and CS5.  Believe 32 bit version is in X86 directiory.

  • Illustrator CS4, new Pantone color books, color channel issue

    Since I installed the new Pantone color books, I've been running in a major issue which will affect our whole production line.
    If an Illustrator CS4 file contains a Photoshop CS4 image which is using an "old" Pantone color in a color channel, it cannot be opened and I get an error message "File is unreadable". If I replace the "old" Pantone colour with its new equivalent in the color channel in Photoshop, the file can be opened normally.
    In our work environment, this means going through all our images to check which one is using a color channel. A painful and time wasting procedure. Furthermore, if one of our suppliers doesn't have the new color books, they won't be able to open any of the files, both Photoshop and Illustrator, so they have no way to revert back to the old Pantone.
    Is there another way to fix this?

    More on the Pantone PLUS saga, hoping to get some input from the users of this forum. I find their silence deafening, to say the least. This is a serious issue, that will cost our agency hours and hours of work if it isn't addressed. And we've already wasted hours of troubleshooting and discussions on how we could resolve it.
    We're actually testing a workaround: using both the old and the new libraries in Illustrator. After consulting our suppliers, we've learned that this is what they also do. For them, it's a one shot to get the file to print. For us, it means cheating with files that will get edited again in the future. And the Pantone installer removes the old Pantone books from the Adobe folders for a reason which is mentioned on the download page:
    The reason that the PANTONE Color Libraries that had been built into Illustrator need to be removed and replaced with the PANTONE PLUS Color Libraries is that, in Illustrator, a PANTONE Color can only have one data point with which it is associated. In the short term, in order to benefit from the new colors and data associated in PLUS, the PANTONE Libraries that are installed with Adobe Illustrator are removed and replaced with the new PLUS Libraries.

    I worry this may lead to another bunch of issue, knowing how easily AI files get corrupted. What I need to know is:
    What is the exact meaning of the Pantone warning about the "one data point per color?
    What are the long term implications of using both Pantone libraries in an Adobe file? Or in the Adobe app?

  • Indesign CS4 Pantone color book, Solid Coated giving the wrong color

    I am trying to add a Panton color to my swatches panel. Under Swatches I am selecting "New Color Swatch -> Color Type: Spot ->Color Mode: Solid Coated". What happens next is get a box where I can type the Pantone number I would like ... to the left of this box it reads "Pantone DS". So all of the color choices I might make are not for "Solid Coated" but rather for "DS". I have no idea what "DS" is and it is not what I selected. I selected "Solid Coated". Once again, I am using Indesign CS4 on a Mac Pro ... still running OS 10.4. Can someone please assist me?

    Thank you for your response. I have checked the pulldown menu several times. I have checked again as of reading your response. It seems that no matter what Pantone choice I select under the Color mode I get your second window that you posted. On top of that, I have captured the window that comes up when I initially start the add new color swatch .... it looks like this ....
    Please notice that the Pantone DS is already beside where you would key in the Pantone number, even though the color mode I am in is CMYK. This does not change when I switch to Spot as shown below.
    So I do not believe there is something flawed about my method. It seems as if the Pantone Color Book information is missing for everything else other than the Process Coated.

    There are serious issues with running it under Yosemite, so far unsolved I am afraid, so you may try in vain. You may consider rolling back the OS, or upgrading (you can still buy CS6 from Adobe).
    Apart from that, remember to first upgrade the OS, then reinstall the applications.

    CS4はすでにサポート終了しているソフトウェアですし、
    どちらかというとYosemiteの後方互換が低いのが動作しない主な原因になりますので、
    正常動作しなくても自己責任の範疇になってしまいます。
    Adobeとしては対応しているバージョンであるCreative Cloudを出していますので、
    そちらに移行するのがひとつの方法になります。
    もうひとつはYosemiteの過去互換を上げたアップデータを提供するように
    Appleに働きかけることです。

    Pour les besoins d'une mairie, j'ai à convertir une pré-maquette réalisée sous Indesign cs5 vers une version cs4.
    J'ai donc suivi les recommandations de cette page :

    Ceci dit, une fois que j'ouvre le fichier .idml dans cs5, autant je retrouve bien mes mises en page, mes fonds,
    mes photos, autant les textes ont, eux, tous disparus !
    (Par ailleurs qu'est-ce qui peut expliquer qu'un fichier indd fasse 2.5 Mo, et que le fichier .idml correspondant
    ne fasse que 150 Ko ?)
    Auriez-vous une petite idée là-dessus ?

    Une fois ouvert le fichier dans cs4, le problème des textes disparaît : ils sont bien présents...
    Donc plus de soucis
    (PS : le fichier d'echange ne comprend pas de preview des images notamment, d'où le poids nettement plus léger...)

    Pour l'installation de cs5 je dois désactiver cs4 pour passer à cs5 ?
    ps: nouvelle installation de seven avec le même numéro de serie et matériel d'origine.
